Long-distance move from Grass Valley, CA to Springfield, MO

ZERO RATING

We got totally scammed and an absolute nightmare. Price of interstate move more than doubled ($11,000 to $23,000) once the truck was loaded. We signed, as our house was sold and we had to be out the next day. Once we finally got our stuff, so much was broken and downright missing. Expensive toolbox full of SnapOn tools gone: magically never was listed on the manifest. Claim process a nightmare, never did get the meager cheque promised. Was told 6 months, now being told the arbitration company has to pay, arbitration company says USA Logistics has to pay. Round and round it goes. CROOKS!

Dishonest / Crooked Company - DO NOT HIRE.

This has been the worst moving experience I have ever had to deal with. I highly recommend you DO NOT hire this company to assist with your move. I hired USA Logistics to do a full packing service and transport of my items from California to Texas. Upon pick up, I knew I was going to have issues. The driver in charge of the move began by doing a five-minute walk through of my home, from which he determined my price would be several thousand dollars over my estimated price, however I had LESS furniture than my estimate indicated. I was beyond surprised because I had a walk-through completed by a competing company that uses the same inventory software and confirmed their estimate was accurate.

After several minutes of back and forth, the lowest price I was able to negotiate was still over $1k more than my estimate. The driver told me that he would leave my items in my garage if I didn't "agree to this price and stop wasting his time." At this point, I needed my items moved and didn't have time to hire a different moving company. I also felt if I didn't de-escalate the situation, the movers would intentionally damage my items. I was pressured into agreeing to a price I did not feel comfortable with. I reluctantly agreed, but spoke with a supervisor shortly after who gave conflicting information and stated he disagreed with the way my move was handled and would have upper management contact me first thing on Monday to resolve the issue.

During the week my items were in transit, I called the office, the emergency line, and sent emails to any contacts at the company that I could find. Nobody returned my calls or emails, and the few times I did reach someone on the phone they told me they would have a supervisor contact me back, which never happened.

When my items were finally delivered, the majority of my furniture was broken and damaged beyond repair. My bed frame was broken in half, my large screen TV shattered, and numerous other items broken and scratched. Even the driver of this truck said he was appalled with the way my items were handled and that unloading the truck made him never want to work for this company again.

Robert, the supervisor, continued to promise me a partial refund of my money. However, when I would call to follow up on the status, he would never answer my calls or return my messages. I finally posted an honest review of the grievances they caused me and he reached out to me right away. Robert stated that he had planned to issue me a refund check, but was unable to do so unless I deleted anything I posted online about their company. He even sent me a photo of the check he refused to mail me. Needless to say, this is a crooked business that will try to bribe you whenever it benefits them, but as soon as they have their money they could not care less about the customer.

It has been a nightmare dealing with this company and I would not wish it upon anyone. If you care about your items or your sanity, hire someone else to handle your move.

Long-distance move from Florida to California

Very good.

This company was great to work with. Excellent communication up front. I asked a lot of questions to understand the size truck and amount of time needed. The movers were very professional, quick but careful. They even came the night before to determine how to take apart a door frame so that a very large desk could be removed. I highly recommend USA Logistics.

Conflicting Contracts, Items Held Hostage.

Great until they have your money. And they will find a way to continue to screw you. I'd sell my belongings and start over before I hired them again.

The contract upon deposit charges by weight. Once items were in the truck they surprised me with a new contract, with charges based on size, adding $600 to my cost. The manager said guests are often confused and bothered.

They outsource and the delivery driver from a different company showed up with my contract and made up new charges including an elevator fee and a random $240 figure for a long haul. He could not show me either of these in the contract, but said said if I don't pay he'll "take [my] items to Texas where [he] lives". When I called USA to dispute, he threatened to charge me a waiting fee, and they told me to "stop being a baby" and "stop finding loopholes" and they hung up on me. I ended up talking them down but they got about $700 out of me, illegally.

Run Screaming in The Night.

Everything negative that was said here is true and more. I had boxes, few bins and few pieces of luggage and four small items and they wanted to almost double the price upon pick-up. They are scammers as they are nice at first even though they already give you an inflated quote, but sound real professional, so you trust them - bait tactic - then when confronted they make it look like they are giving you a discount as a favor. No discount at all, they are legally not supposed to inflate the cost more than 10% of the original quote and that is still highway robbery.
They do not do what you tell them. They broke items and lost items and they treat your items like they are tossing garbage. Most of my boxes where banged, torn and ripped open. Also dirty and full of dust!! Wonder how many times they were shifted and shafted, since they messed up on the storage request as well. Their staff is horrible and disrespectful including the manager by the name of TOM. Deplorable is an understatement.

Interstate move from California to Arizona.

Please read all the negative reviews and do not believe anything anyone says from this company. I got several quotes and questioned all the bad reviews but Peter Smith assured they would handle everything and since I had several quotes from people that did a physical walk through the quote would be on point. Not only does Peter Smith have no integrity, he is a liar. This company takes advantage of a already stressful situation and makes it even worse. I can't stress enough believe all the negative reviews, they are real. I was given a estimate after I supplied several estimates to USA Logistics performed by companies that did a walk through of my home. So they had all the inventory and cubic feet. I also requested a 53 foot truck so all my stuff would be on one truck, Peter said yes, I'm basically taking up a full truck anyways. So move day comes, Tom shows up with two 26ft trucks and says, the other truck wasn't available, so already I'm feeling like this deal is going sideways. I call and ask for Peter and he's not available. I call several times, and realize they are screening the calls. So I agree to use the two trucks because Tom assures me my stuff will not leave these trucks and everything will stay together, if I go get a cashiers check instead of a personnel check. So I agree, because I don't want my stuff moved from truck to truck. They pack all of belongings and stage it in the driveway, Tom says the weight is to much and price is double! Now I realize Iv'e been scammed, such a terrible feeling. I say no way, Tom says well just pay me for packing and you can find someone else, but it will be much more than his estimate. So with all of our stuff sitting in the driveway and no place to go, they have you trapped and they know it. We come to an agreement which is 5 thousand more than the original quote. Ton says they will deliver our items in two days, so I agreed. I drive to AZ with my family and prep for the the two trucks, I receive a call from the driver and he says he will be later than scheduled and do I have room a 18 wheeler! what, I ask..my stuff should be on a two trucks. So again Tom and Peter lied, they moved my stuff onto another truck and brokered it out to another company. Yes I said brokered, don't let them say they are not brokers. When the driver arrived , he asked for payment up front and what company I used, what do you mean don't you work USA Logistics?? the driver said no, I just pick up trailers. So yes they are a broker. I then asked where is the help? He said they are coming soon. They hired some people from craigslist? This is unbelievable, but what are you to do. Again they have you trapped. So the help shows up, and yes they all responded to a craigslist listing. I ask where is the ramp for the 18 wheeler, driver says we don't have one.Well this should be interesting considering I have three safes and a tool box weighing 300 pounds. Yes they scratched several of my safes and damaged my file cabinet. Several items where missing, I explained to the driver and he just call the moving company. This company will take advantage, lie and cheat you all the way until delivery. Yes the reviews are real, don't let them tell you otherwise. Just google them and you will see all the bad reviews and the F they have with BBB. Avoid them at all cost, moving can be stressful enough, trust me stay away. Go with a company that provides a physical walk through and a binding estimate. USA Logistics has no integrity, none at all and their word means nothing.

Do Not Use At All Costs.

Original Est. to move my 550 Sqft tiny home was $1,180. I sent a detailed inventory list & map of the location prior to receiving their estimate. I do not live at the property any longer & indicated that multiple times but was treated as if I was on site & could meet movers within a moments notice. I gave the landord info multiple times to coordinate. Movers didn't show up the date they indicated at scheduling. They notified me they would be at the house a day later at 6 am. Not knowing if the Landlord could be there or not I reminded that I was not there and could not guarantee that time. I was then told I never gave a contact for them & if I wanted to move it would be then or not at all. I made arrangements with the landlord (lives 2 hours away) to meet that time frame. They arrived after 10 am and my estimate doubled to $2,300. They then told me I had to pay cash for 60% of the move then when my contract said 50% & offered MoneyGram wire through Walmart. They informed me of an arrival the following day to deliver. It will be a week & I still have not received my property. The landlord contacted me saying half my stuff was left at the property so I contacted the USA Logistics to complain & seek a solution. They indicated they moved everything I told them. So not only am I being charged double the cost of the move but I'm only getting 50% of what I asked to have moved. The response was "Do you want what we have or not?" Warning: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! So I will pay two moving companies & pay to receive my property then take this company to small claims. (This experience was far worse than anything I've ever experience before but I won't bore with any more details. This should give enough information to make your decision about the company.).

Jail time for these folks!!

This is a little long but I think EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW, THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY!! The movers loaded our furniture on the truck ready to leave to the destination we are moving to. They quoted us $3500 but when he came in to give us the papers to sign, they said it was going to be $23,000!! we were livid!! They had our furniture and we were moving the next day, so we had no choice but to pay the extra. They held our furniture for 3 1/2 weeks. My Mom and Dad are 85. my Father has Alzheimers and we had to sleep on the floor for that period of time. We retained an attorney, had a claim filed with the Department of transportation. These guys are VERY GOOD at being kind in the beginning but after a week, they no longer answered their phones..EVER!! We had no idea where are furniture was for 3 1/2 weeks!! This is the sad part!! When we did receive our furniture 60% was broken and several things were missing. They stole our very large ladder, small ladder, all of the medications for my Mother and Father, all of our large garden pottery was missing, new bedding for 4 bedrooms, 2 bedroom dressers, table with 4-chairs, all Christmas stuff, even the tree!! Ironing board, full set of bone china crushed, broken furniture, scratched furniture, all glassware and ALL (4 -tv's 50") had a kick hole in the middle of each TV box. 90% of our boxes were gone through and they repacked things they did not want in their own boxes. This company has absolutly NO credibility!! I urge you PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We are filing other charges with our attorney and with the FBI. Charlotte the(receptionist)is cold and sarcastic!! I have several pics to share..you will be astonished!! We will shut them down, one way or the other!! I am putting the word out to All social media groups and craigs list!! Gina, TX.

Worst moving company of the Universe.

They charged me twice the quote.inform the price after they loaded everything to truck. Worst, unprofessional service ever. they broke my tv set even though they charged for packing separately(which they told me the last minute). they took more than 3 weeks to deliver saying weird reasons. Lost the screws for my office table and casually told I can simply buy anywhere. Had to pay extra 300$ for the delivery van extra even though I am sure they used the same van for every delivery nearby and charged them as well.. Never ever use this service.

This is the worst service I ever received in my entire life. Initially told they could buy me a new tv and passed another 2 more weeks finally told they can't reimburse.

Do Not Use Usa Logistics.

DO NOT USE USA LOGISTICS. Worst experience I have ever had with a business in any industry. We sold off our living room and guest room furniture so we only had a few large pieces, our personal items, books, kitchen items, home decor. After describing all large items and items that will fit in a box over the phone they provided a reasonable quote and we had full service packing included.

The day before they were scheduled to arrive we received the confirmation call for “pick up.” I realized they were not planning to pack for us although the quote included a line item and charge for packing. So there I am on hold while a supervisor is contacted and I get a reluctant confirmation that they will pack along with a warning that if they use more than 30 boxes I will be charged more. No problem! I talked at length with the salesman about the number of smaller items we have and he estimated the box count. Turns out that’s part of the SCAM!

The next day the driver calls again to confirm “pickup.” Cue another round of explaining they are packing and another warning about going over the number of boxes.

The crew arrives and the driver tours our empty living room and empty guest room and starts in with “I can tell you’re going to have more boxes than in the quote.” SCAM! His warnings continue as he tours the rest of the home.

4 hours later they have everything boxed and large items moved to the street. They used about 60 boxes. Fine - double the packing service charge and double the line item for moving the boxes I think. So we’re going from $3500 to maybe $5000 I’d guess. Nope! The driver says the new amount is $11,789!! SCAM!! He’s refusing to load the truck until we pay up and tries to work in a new angle..if we give 60% now instead of the 50% outlined in the contract he can get our items delivered in 3 days. It was laughable. We had to negotiate with him and wait for him to call his supervisor for roughly 90 minutes before we negotiated a final total of ~$8000. The whole experience was unreal. They literally had everything we own on the street holding it hostage until we signed to pay far more than we’d ever expect. I have never felt so vulnerable and taken before.

Now here is the real heartbreak. Boxes arrived and many of them were crushed. I write this as I take a break from unpacking. So far my broken dish/vase/decor count is at 8. Both of our bookcases are broken. But the real gut punch is an antique heirloom dining table that was a prized possession is scratched and cracked in two places. You move and you expect to get some dings on furniture..the bookcases both broke in a vulnerable spot so I can forgive that. But this table is solid and the damage it has can only be attributed to complete disregard, inexperience, and neglect from a SCAM company.

DO NOT USE USA LOGISTICS.

Long-distance move from Minden, NV to Yuma, AZ

Please don’t ignore negative reviews!

Oh my goodness PLEASE DO NOT DISCOUNT this review! I did and it cost me dearly. Let me explain (get comfie because it’s a long story). I was planning an interstate move and this company lies from the beginning. For example, I was told by Alan Douglas they were NOT a broker. “It’s our trucks and our guys”. Everything I asked was answered with what I wanted to hear. Concerned about delivery? No problem. We’ll deliver exactly when you want! Concerned about loss or damage? No worries. We’ll load your stuff and move it directly for you. It won’t be loaded and unloaded several times. Concerned about the final amount since others claimed their price went way up? No worries. We issue a BINDING ESTIMATE and by law we can’t charge more unless you are over on items or added services. We did an inventory 5 times and made absolutely sure we were not over! Our estimate was for 1705 cubic feet. The truck they sent (NOT their truck but a Penske 26’ rental) has a capacity of 1700 cubic feet. We were worried there wouldn’t be room for everything including our two motorcycles. It all fit in the truck but guess what? The foreman called his boss and our new amount was $8500 instead of $5551.87 - almost $3000 more! I asked to speak to the boss and was told we used more cubic feet. I asked how that was possible since the truck they sent only held 1700 cubic feet. He wouldn’t budge and told us if we didn’t like it they would unload the truck. Having no choice we paid up. This was on a Tuesday and I spent the next four days trying to confirm our delivery for the following Monday. They kept saying “the contract you signed says we have 21 days”. Oh the contract that also said $5551.87 and not $8500? The delivery arrived with a semi trailer and 1 lone driver. Yes, a semi trailer so so much for not loading and unloading. The first thing I see is a 6 foot solid wood bookcase piled on one of our motorcycles and can’t even see the second one under the pile. And wow, our 78” TV is “missing” along with 2 boxes and our step ladder. Most boxes are crushed or damaged and in some cases over 75% of them were crammed in sideways. The 3 man crew they hired from Yuma was paid in cash and sent on their way. The TV was found but not the boxes, one being most likely TV accessories and home theater system. Our TV is now at our friends house in CA because even though initially it was going to be delivered on Wednesday (and involved an airline flight change to be available) it then changed to “this weekend”. The bottom line is they are fraudulent, lie, misrepresent, and cheat. I’ve had 2 full weeks of being played and strung along (call. me at 10am and we’ll go over your paperwork) and then a Rob Mor or Robert won’t answer the phone. I have no choice now but to file a case in small claims court which will cost even MORE time and money. They also do NOT COMPLY with the guidelines of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Specifically they are REQUIRED to not only agree to arbitration if necessary, but to provide their policies upon signing a contract. It wasn’t EVER provided.

If you’re still reading, please listen and do NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will burn you and not even flinch and continue to burn more consumers. They.need to be SHUT DOWN! I’ve never felt more foolish in my life than to disregard all the negative reviews. I thought I could protect myself by even purchasing boxes in their exact sizes so I KNEW we wouldn’t be over our estimate. They still found a way to cheat us, hold our belongings hostage, and apparently still sleep at night. Please please please be wise and take this review to heart. It is my wish they NEVER burn another consumer because NOONE will book with them. If you google them you’ll find 3 different addresses and the owner is listed as Bob Carlson, not Robert Mor. And you’ll also learn they have exactly ONE truck in their fleet so “their trucks and their guys” can’t possibly be true. Please feel free to contact me if you’d like more information or proof of any of this. I can PROVE ALL OF MY CLAIMS. Keribelle@aol.com.

Gave me a great price. Came a day late.

Wrapped & loaded everything and then asked for an extra $900. They claim my "estimate was low". Spoke to a supervisor who rudely said pay the money or get another mover. JUST GO OUT OF BUSINESS ALREADY

Where to start? Movers didn't wear masks in violation of California law. Price quote more than doubled AFTER they loaded everything onto the truck. Phone numbers for customer service were rarely answered and if they were, nobody could give updates on where my stuff was as part of a cross-country move. Initial estimate was that move would take two weeks. AFTER A MONTH, was finally told that shipment would be coming the following week. Rude delivery guy tried to add extra $50 to the shuttle fee and wouldn't take the $100 discount we were supposed to receive for late delivery until I called the company five times to have them finally communicate that to him. THEN, he put a hole in a hallway wall as part of the move-in, claimed he couldn't get the bed frame in the elevator and left it in the apartment lobby and delivered a broken table and chest of drawers, in addition to two bikes that didn't belong to me. Just commencing the process of seeking compensation for all of this. On top of all the delivery issues, the customer service and communication is terrible. This company should not be in business.

Long-distance move from Oakland, CA to Houston, TX

The worst company ever!

This company needs to be shut down and fined for its criminal practices. Our experience with this company has been a nightmare with our move from Northern California to Houston Texas. I will only highlight just a few of the issues with this horrible company. After USA Logistics removed everything from our apartment, the foreman told us that the price for the move was now going to be $10,000 instead of the quoted and agreed upon price of $4350.77. We were shocked! None of the movers ever mentioned any price change from the initial quote until AFTER everything was moved out of the apartment and onto the street. At this point, we had no choice and we were in a desperate situation as it was later in the day. We asked why the price change was never mentioned to us, especially before everything was taken out of the apartment. The mover responded with, "that's how it's done". We declined the price increase because this was not what was agreed upon between us and USA Logistics. We asked them to return everything back into our apartment. The foreman refused to return our items back into our apartment and said we will need to pay him $1800 in cash for them to remove a number of the items they had already placed into the truck. We told him that we could take them down ourselves, but he said we could not go unto his truck and he proceeded to pad lock the truck door with our belongings still in the truck. They were holding us hostage in every way possible! I was in tears at this point. This was probably about 6pm when they notified us of the price increase. The foreman told us he can try to get his boss to lower the price of the move if we leave some things behind and if we pay the whole balance upfront with a check. We had no choice but to agree to new and different terms set by USA LOGISTICS while our belongings sat on the street, and some things locked in their truck. Once again, they changed the quote for the third time, asking for $8600 to be paid that day. So now we come to the delivery portion of USA LOGISTICS moving company, which is even more horrifying. The contract states the delivery will be completed within 21 business days, but we still haven't received all of our belongings and it's been over 2 months now. We are still waiting for our dining room table, TV stand, king size mattress and our 55 inch TV to be delivered. The MAJORITY of the furniture delivered had some sort of damage upon delivery after being in the possession of USA Logistics. To date, we have not heard from anyone at USA Logistics regarding our missing items. We have made multiple attempts to reach out to USA Logistics by phone and by email regarding our missing and damaged items and have been unsuccessful. After multiple documented telephone calls and emails, we still have not received any replies. Additionally, after sending our initial email to USA logistics regarding our missing and damaged items, our emails have been blocked and our phone calls now go to a full voicemail inbox. We have come to terms that we will most likely not receive our missing items, but we will not give up on bringing this unlawful company to justice. We plan to report them to the texas attorney general, to California attorney general, department of transportation, and any other agency necessary to get justice. Things to do to get results: 1)Report the company to the Consumer Complaint Office of Attorney General Public inquiry unit at http://www.oag.ca.gov. Phone number: 1(800)952-5225. 2) Report them to the Department of transportation protectyourmove.gov. 1(888)368-7238. If they have your belongings and they are holding you hostage call a lawyer. I recommend Michael García Attorney at Law in San Diego, 1(877)299-0550. He has won a case against this company so he's very familiar with their illegal practices. Don't wait to reach out to an attorney ASAP! Also take them to small claims court for your losses. Don't let this company continue to get away with illegal business practices. We need to report them to the right agencies because that's the only way they will be shut down. They can pay to remove bad reviews or create fake positive reviews but they can't do anything once we report them to the right agencies. The Feds will shut them down as long as they get reported enough times and so far this year the company has had at least 20-30 complaints with the department of transportation. Last year they were reported 50+ times, the year before that they were reported 60+ times. We don't want anyone else to go through what we are going through now. Lets take this amoral company down together!

Long-distance move from California to New York

Absolute NIGHTMARE

My bf and I hired the broker firm Top Country Moving to arrange our move from CA to NY and they hired USA Logistics. Keep in mind, we trusted TCM to hire a reputable moving company and we were kept in the dark with who they chose. I figured it out by doing a reverse phone search. I’m not sure how USA Logistics is able to legally operate a business with all complaints and negligence but I’m in the process of taking legal action against both companies. They were paid to pack and transport our things across the country and I’m at a loss for words in describing the $8,346.55 in damages they caused us.

(For reference, here’s a link to the 150 photos showcasing this nightmare. https://flic.kr/ps/3W6EmU )

1) In the last three years USA Logistics has 97 complaints according to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration; an F rating with the BBB; and they have been convicted of multiple crimes, and taken to court by both business and individuals.

2) We were told by Austin C. of TCM that he “personally knows the individual” who will be overseeing our move and that this person photographs everything before packing it. When we proceed with our case we will request those photos to show the condition of our belongings before USA Logistics ruined them.

3) Rachel J. of TCM assured us that the moving company would know how to pack glass and valuables. She also said if we were still concerned to take “fragile” stickers on the items. USA Logistics not only ignored the stickers, they items were thrown in the bottom of a box filled with heavy boots, clothing and glass items resting on top and not wrapped at all.

4) When USA Logistics arrived to pack our belongings they called to say that TCM underestimated the amount of boxes needed and because of this we would have to pay an extra $4,000.00 on the spot or they would leave most of our things.

5) We paid $779 for packing materials and many were not provided.

6) Movers from USA Logistics were drinking on the job and threw their used beer (Modelo, to be exact) into a box with our valuable possessions. (This during a COVID 19 pandemic.)

7) USA Logistics ruined three designer jackets because instead of hanging them, they stacked them together and jammed them into a box which left imprints on each; one was custom-made.

8) USA Logistics ruined two designer purses by jamming them together into a box which was filled with heavy items placed directly on top of them.

9) USA Logistics ruined an Alice + Olivia dress with the tags still attached because they placed heavy items directly on top and scratched the fabric.

10) USA Logistics placed dirty shoes on top of our clean bedding, clothing, and towels. We’ve had to spend hundreds of dollars to wash our items.

11) We were promised quilted blankets and bubble wrap to protect our furniture. With the exception of a chair and kitchen table, USA Logistics failed to wrap our furniture. Now, most of it is damaged or ruined beyond repair.

12) USA Logistics taped several of our items and expensive furniture together with heavy duty tape causing rips, tears, and paint chips.

13) USA Logistics packed our kitchen silverware (including knives) into the bottom of a box which could have caused serious bodily injury.

14) USA Logistics created a potential health hazard by mixing various cleaning supplies and chemicals and not securing them; baking soda and powdered bleach mixed with liquid cleaning products and covered the contents of the box.

15) USA Logistics covered multiple boxes and items with hot sauce, which leads us to believe this was an intentional act. Aside from boxes, there was hot sauce on a clothing rack, punching bag, and keyboard stand.

16) USA Logistics placed a yellow substance on our shower curtain, which has us wondering if one of the movers didn’t relieve themselves on it.

17) USA Logistics stripped the screws on our floral bench so that we couldn’t put it back together properly. They were stripped so badly it leads us to believe this was done intentionally.

18) About a week and a half ago we spoke with Victoria P. She told us we "turned down insurance" when USA Logistics arrived. That is a COMPLETE LIE.

a) Austin C. told my father and I that TCM pays the full price for any damaged items "unlike those other companies." So we don't need to worry about purchasing 3rd party insurance.

b) They knew that a friend would be at our apt on moving day and everything was to be set up before arrival.

c) No one at USA Logistics asked our friend about insurance. Instead, USA Logistics wrote "void" on the paper. Our friend (who was in constant communication with us), said he was never asked about insurance. It was our friend who made the call letting us know they were demanding an extra $4,000 before they started.

d) She also committed fraud by saying we had the wrong USA Logistics owner regarding the negative info we found.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR POSSESSIONS, DO NOT HIRE THESE CRIMINALS!

Long-distance move from California to Montana

It’s a scam!

Avoid at all costs! Basically their scam is they quote a price for your estimated cubic feet and you pay a down payment. When the movers show up, they pack your stuff and set it in your driveway. That’s when the foreman will come up and give you the “bad news” that you are way over your estimated cubic feet and he will need more money. My initial estimate was somewhere around 1,700 cubic feet and then it somehow turned to 2,100 cubic feet (which of course costs thousands more). They know that have you at a disadvantage with all your stuff packed and have a set move-out date. But hey, even the driver said, “good luck going to another company because with so many people moving out of California, we can basically charge whatever we want”. Then they’ll take your stuff and put it in their storage facility where they will charge you way over what they quoted you for storage. Delivery is broken too. Even if you schedule a date ahead of time, the company will deliver your stuff “anywhere up to two weeks after your scheduled delivery date”. I will note on the day of delivery, the driver (who is subcontracted by the company) bought my stuff in an….[wait for it]…1,800 cubic feet truck that had ANOTHER delivery on it. Meaning, our stuff didn’t even take up the entire truck. See the scam? Once your stuff does arrive, you get to see how poorly they packed it. My wife and I unwisely made a decision to try to stay out of their way when they were packing our house so we stayed in the kitchen area. Bad decision. Everything in the kitchen was packed well with paper and packing materials but literally everything else was haphazardly thrown into a box with no packing material. Example: I was opening up picture boxes that were unwrapped and loose and the packers threw fragile electronic devices in the bottom. Needless to say, much of our stuff was broken. To add insult to injury, much of our stuff was missing too. When you deal with the company, they are rude and have a joke for insurance on your stuff. Bottom line-I was quoted 14K to move my stuff and by the time they were done scamming me, I was up to 21K. Best I can do here is vent my frustrations in hopes that others read this and avoid one the most expensive mistakes of my life. As a person who grew up with a father in the military and myself having been in the military, this is unequivocally the worst move I have ever experienced. See attached photos of their “professional packing” service.

Long-distance move from Winchester, CA to Kingsport, TN

The worst experience ever

Delivery was over 2 weeks late, they picked up in California and 1st stop Texas then a WAREHOUSE in Chicago. The customer service was rude and no help. Gave us a number for ‘John’ in Chicago, then another number for Mohammed, we finally received out things to find our brand new bbq grill crushed, my desk broken, boxes smashed. I’m beyond upset with this company, not to mention our quote was 4,200 then the people put everything on the truck and our new quote was 8,400. This company needs to be out of business like yesterday.

Long-distance move from Livermore, CA to Allen, TX

The worst experience ever

TERRIBLE SCAMMERS!!!! Both of these companies are beyond terrible. It took months to get the paperwork from them and their office keep stalling. We hired Alliance to move us to Texas form San Francisco Bay area. We agreed on a price to move us, $12,500. They sent another moving company, USA logistics, Inc. in their place. The company loaded up one third of what we agreed on, doubled the price to$25,000, they got in their truck and ran like a bat out of hell with our belongings. When they arrived in Texas, there was broken TV's, dish's, furniture, torn paintings, and missing property that was stollen. About $20,000 in damages, stollen property and deceived on contract. They were holding our stuff hostage for the final payment of $5,000. We were not in the state to check everything out, had to have the Real estate agent let them in. The pictures below show a fraction of the damage and deceit.

Scam Artists and they should be brought down!

This is going to be a long one. Have a seat and relax. The truth will be known! haha

As you have probably guessed after reading other reviews, these guys are scam artists, thieves, careless, rude, you name it! Anything but professional and safe.

I was trying to get my storage in AZ back home to me in CO. All I had was enough to fit in one bedroom. Not a one bedroom apartment.

I am a disabled veteran and there’s really no way I could do the move on my own. So I began looking for movers to do it for me. Too expensive. So, I reserved a 10’ U-Haul.

I gave my info already when looking for a moving company, and got a call from Complete Van Lines out of Pompano, FL.

The guy was very polite, professional and very friendly. We went over all the stuff I had. I gave him the square footage since that’s what he asked for. And it was well under the 300²ft that I was allowed for my tier.

He also gave me a couple of huge discounts! One was a Veteran’s Discount taking $215 off the price, and the other was a Tariff Discount of 56.79%. All the discounts brought the price to roughly $1k less than what the U-Haul was going to cost me. So we made up a “Binding Moving Estimate,” which when I looked up the legal mumbo jumbo, states that the price can not change, unless the actual amount of stuff is more than what I had stated.

So we set a date for them to pick up, I paid a hefty deposit, and we were on our way.

When we got to the storage, I had some stuff in there that I had forgotten about, so I got rid of it taking it to the big dumpster. Now it should be well under the square footage agreed upon on the Binding Contract.

The movers arrive a day late. Two men began to pack my things while I spoke with the head guy. And he tells me that there is WAY more stuff than what I had in the contract and that it was going to cost me at least double, if not triple the price on the Binding Contract.

We argued about it for a bit, and I finally caved and wound up getting rid of my ENTIRE bedroom set! I was NOT happy about that since it did have sentimental value to me. But I just did it. And the guy tells me it will still be double!

He then tells me it’s cubic feet! Not square feet! That brought the argument back and I asked to speak with his boss.

He put me in the phone with his boss and this guy was completely rude! He said the price is what it is and kept asking me what I wanted to do. I asked what he meant and he asked if I wanted them to take it off the truck. I was in too much of a bind on this and just let them take it, figuring I could get this worked out with the company that set this up.

Anyway, I’ll try and wrap this up…

Phone calls and emails go out, but never get returned. They just ignore me now.

Another week later, I finally get a call from the moving company telling me the driver is on his way to Colorado and should be calling me shortly.

They call, said they’ll be here tomorrow and that I need to pay the driver by cash, check or money order and they do not take cards of any type, which is what I have used to pay until now.

The driver calls me next. I tell him about the money situation and I wouldn’t have it until Wednesday, and he was very cool about it. Tells me he has another drop off in SD and he could do that first and drop my stuff off on Wednesday. Cool! Sounding better.

Next morning, I wake up my normal 4:00am. I get ready so I could run to the bank as soon as they open. The driver calls me at 6:00am and tells me they’ll be there in an hour. I tell him the bank doesn’t open until 9:00am and I wouldn’t have the money till then. Now he barks back saying he’ll be here in an hour and if I don’t have the money, they take it for good. Wow!

He shows up, I show them where they can unload it, I say I still have to go get the money and he tells me HIS price now which was way higher again. He shows me a paper with the price on that I supposedly signed, and it has my signature on it! I had never seen this form before and you could tell it was lasted there.

Anyway, I go to leave and tells me to be sure to add another $75.00 because they have to wait. I tell him not to wait and to unload it. By the time you’re done, I’ll be back with the money! No bueno! They will not take anything off the truck until they have been paid!

I go get the cash, give it to him, they unload the truck and go away…finally…thank God!

Sorry for the novel. Just wanted to explain what you’ll be going through as according to all the reviews, it’s the same procedure and they WILL rip you off!

If they worked out of Colorado, I would go to my congressman or something to have them put out of business! Cause they need to stop doing this to people!

*I had to cut a bunch. It says the more the better. I wrote almost 6000 characters and it now says it can’t be more that 5000. lol

But that’s the gist of it.

Long-distance move from Manhattan Beach, CA to Charleston, SC

SCAM COMPANY-They belong is prison!

They don't even deserve the required 1 star. This company is by far the worst company I have ever come in contact with. I personally hired Alliance Movers and they subcontracted this company out. Not only did they charge us $9,000 MORE than the original price of $6k that we were quoted, they waited until all of our items were out on the street to inform us of this so that we had no other choice but to agree to it. Once they took our belongings, they continued to lie to us to tell us our items were scheduled to be shipped out the next day for 4 weeks. (if you ever talk to a customer service rep Lupe, just hang up. She is a miserable person and will only make the situation even more infuriating). Once we finally received our items, 6 weeks later after the latest date we gave them, EVERYTHING was destroyed or missing. Our bikes looked as if the truck ran over them and they were dragged behind the truck the entire way. They stole, and damaged everything! Absolute criminals. They all deserve to be in prison. We currently have an insurance claim against them but of course, we won't know if anything will be covered or rectified for MONTHS. They are an absolute nightmare of a situation. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Long-distance move from Prescott, AZ to Mulberry, AR

Horrifying Experience

I've never had to write a review like this, for any thing or any service. I feel that it is very important for me to take the time to write this one, as anyone even thinking about speaking to the companies involved with this move should run in the opposite direction, and fast.

We booked our move originally through United State Moving Services, a veteran owned company (I am a disable veteran myself, so this was definitely a plus for me personally). So, they are the "broker" for the move. The initial pickup of our belongings was serviced through USA Logistics, and the Drop-off company was through Ackermann Express (apparently sub-contracted through USA Logistics).

When we booked our move from Arizona to Arkansas, the representatives name that booked our move through United States Moving Services was Sam Gaines. We had to do a VERY detailed call where we listed just about every single item for our move. We were a two-location pickup, with one location being our 10x20 storage unit, and the second our two bedroom apartment. Sam was very adamant that he quoted us "overboard" with an "absolutely full top to bottom" storage unit, and then everything in our apartment as well (down to the laundry basket)... a few days prior to the move, we had a scheduled "quality assurance" call with a Michael Cooper, who then advised that we increase our total qubic feet for the move "just to be extra safe". So, this was an additional $2400.00 on top of what we paid originally.

I'll try to make this as summarized as possible, but it's important to make everyone aware of how this scam works, because it absolutely is a scam. Well, when the pickup company arrived, they started at our storage unit. Here's the kicker, when we were done with the storage unit, we were already at the capacity for our move. Here's another kicker, our storage unit wasn't even 60% full. So, the company loaded everything up, the day before my family is supposed to drive across the country, and by the time the apartment was loaded, we were over $6800.00 over according to their equation for cubic feet. They said we either pay them, or they would unload everything in our apartment parking lot. We didn't have a choice. We paid. We ended up having to throw away much of our furniture and other things like chairs and shelving just to be able to afford the move.

Finally, the delivery company gets to our home a few days later, and says they can't get their truck to our home, so we have to pay another $1300.00 for a "shuttle service" using a smaller truck. They (without our knowledge) cross-loaded all of our belongings to a HUGE tractor trailer that wouldn't be able to fit into most neighborhoods, when Michael Cooper assured us we were booking a "whole 35ft box truck just for our move"...

When the movers unloaded our items, it was horrible. They damaged our brand new home, put our furniture back together incorrectly, and stacked boxes clearly labeled FRAGILE UPSIDE DOWN. We have photos of literally everything.

In conclusion, no less than 80% of our furniture and fragile belongings were smashed. We are working on a claim right now, and trying to find an attorney. We paid over 13K for this move, and they have completely taken us to the ringer. Words can't do it justice. These people are the worst kind of people, without shame or morals of any kind as a company. We are praying that we can get some sort of justice... don't risk working with anyone involved. I'm going to be sharing this review everywhere possible, and making a video as well.

Thanks for reading.

To the companies involved, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Long-distance move from Chowchilla, CA to Eatonville, WA

USA Logistics Encino CA.

After the quote for the cost of the move the company USA Logistics has not meet any timelines they have stated. The initial pickup was to have been between 10-11am. Received a call they were delayed and should arrive between 2-4pm. Received another call that they couldn't make that time and it would be 5:30pm. They would call 45 minutes before arrival. So my girlfriend and I run out to do and errand at around 4:00pm. At 4:30 we get a call from a friend that was at the house that the movers were there. They arrive in a 26 foot Uhaul truck. They begin moving boxes and other articles out to the driveway and begin loading the uhaul truck. We arrive back and the lead gut informs me that we are over the total items and there would be an additional charge of $5,000.00. Then the discussion begins. They have not loaded the majority of the items that were specified on the moving list. I am told that if I want the specific items on the list moved they will have to remove items and I will be charged for that. This discussion go on for 4 hours. I finally get 4 items on the list added for $1,600 more. They load them from out of my shop. The next morning at 4:00am as I am preparing to get ready to load up my 12 horses (with help from others) I see the lights are on in the shop. I go over and find that the movers have broken the main door to the shop and just left it wide open for anyone to enter. They never came over and said this had happened.
The delivery date when they said the items should arrive changed three times. The date when it was supposed to that time also changed from 6:30 to 7:00. But that didn't happen they arrived at 9:00am. Now we have a uhaul truck we rented that needed to be returned which we couldn't do until 8:00am but we didn't want to miss the movers so we waited. By 11:00am the movers had partially unloaded our belongings but it was apparent that it would not be done before 12:00 which was the latest we could return the truck. So they have to move their truck so we can get the uhaul out. So they unload the rest in the driveway and leave with the final $3,000 per the contract.
Now we still have 80% of the items that were contracted to be moved back at the house. By the way if we don't pay the $3,000 they will leave with the items and hold them hostage.
So I get on the phone the next day and start calling. Finally I get an agreement from "Ben" that they have a truck coming through CA and they will pick up the items that they didn't pick up and haul them up for free. From this point on their phones don't work. We don't get calls from them about days, times until my girlfriend calls and Ben doesn't recognize the phone number. He giver her a time and date. Friday 10:00am. They don't show up. She catches Ben again and they have a big job and it won't be until Monday. Again no calls and they don't show up. Today I can't get anyone to transfer my call to someone with authority that I can speak with about resolving the situation. I get hung up on. Try calling the number for Ben. Nobody answers. If anyone reads this post and the others that are positive. I don't believe the positive one are real. If you see the other negative posts I believe those as they match what we are going through.

Long-distance move from Chula Vista, CA to Owasso, OK

Disgustingly awful in every aspect of service.

If I could give less than one star, I would. They failed to tell me that they do not guarantee dates. I scheduled my move thinking that I would have my belongings in a week or two at most. They showed up late to the house for pick up and the man was very rude. Might I add, he left to go to the truck and came back smelling like weed to finish up paperwork. I found it unprofessional. He also tried scamming me for an extra 200 dollars for some "out of state moving fee". I have moved numerous times and never heard of such thing. I definitely passed on it and he didn't seem to care (maybe because its made up to begin with). I moved from California to OKlahoma. I've been living in this apartment now for three in a half full weeks without my stuff. Everytime I call to get a date to get my items dropped off, there is a 40% chance they will even pick up the phone on the first try. I always get a vague answer and continuously told they have until 21(business days) to deliver. I finally get a call yesterday from a man saying he will be at my residence between 8-10 in the morning. It is currently 1:45 pm and he is still not here. I called him at 1030, he sounded like he just woke up and proceeded to give some [EDIT] excuse. I literally just called again five minutes ago. He stumbled over his words and said, "give me one second", eight times before he told me he would call me back. I usually don't write reviews but people need to know how awful this company is. DO NOT USE THEM.

Update, they came the next day.. late. They're charging me another 100$ for the flight of stairs. All my boxes are dented and crushed. The box that says FRAGILE is crushed. I am fed up with this company. I've never been so infuriated with customer service in my whole life. These guys are a scam and has no clue what professionalism is. I'm going to find another platform to review because the company and potential customers need to know how horrendous this business is. Distasteful in every aspect of service.

Horrible service.

This company is a nightmare from beginning to end. They start with a serious under estimate of charges, then up charge everything after they pick up your items. Charges for everything from elevators, stairs and an extra step. I paid $1100 dollars over the original estimate. And now trying to get an invoice for reimbursement!! So far not a chance.
