Do Not Use!

DO NOT work with this company. I thought I had done my due diligence in interviewing several companies and reading all the contract information but I didn't read all the negative reviews. Speaking to Richard Marshall on the phone about this move was amazing. He addressed my concern, verified as long as nothing changes from contract then the price is the price. However, once my MIL goods were on the truck, we were told we owed more money for 'Interstate Fees'. When reaching out to Richard, to get explanation as there were now 'fees' not on our contract even though nothing changed he is a ghost! Now that they have our stuff, we have no idea where in the US it is, or when it actually will arrive. We are nervous of how the team will treat MIL when they arrive, if they do, and try to extort more money from here. This company is a SHAM and funny only works in cash outside of 1st deposit. Shouldve been my first warning..

Rip Offs - do Not Deal With Them.

Do not deal with these people. I questioned whether the reviews were legit. They gave me a great quote and said it would be honored. When they showed up they indicated it would be by weight. Turns out they charged me more than double the quote. Tried to talk to them and they stopped loading the truck until I paid. All my house goods were either in the front yard or on the truck. When the shipment arrived 5 days after they said it would, there was a lot of damaged goods and crushed boxes. Book shelf smashed into 5 pieces. Exercise equipment dented. Fire Pot - 1/2 the tile ripped off. Table legs broken.Washing machine had dents. And much more. There is a different insurance company that handles the claims but they don't tell you that. By their own estimate they loaded the trailer illegally to transport my goods but left plenty of room to load 1 or 2 more stops. When I have called them about challenging the weight they never return my calls and hang up on me when I try to ask any questions. Rude people once they have your money!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

Serviceable.

I hired USA Logistics to move from Temecula CA --> Austin TX in July 2019. I have roughly one bedroom apartment worth of things. When receiving my quote I gave them more items than I was planning on bringing being told it was by cubic feet. When they arrived for the PU, it was on time, I'll give them a star for timeliness, they loaded the truck then asked for $500 more than I was originally quoted, and they were requiring 60% of my remaining balance and they also said it was by weight and not by cubic feet which conflicted with what I was originally told. In hindsight, if I had known this, I would have requested their empty weight and loaded weight before they started loading as I felt uncertain that their weights were accurate. However, I paid them the cash they requested.

This is the third moving company I have used. This company, though kind of shady did earn some stars for the following reasons: their priced, though higher than what was quoted, was lower than competitors. The timeliness in which I received my stuff, it was very quick, and everything was in the same shape as when it was sent. Also, I rented a truck myself and with the help of a friend, moved my belongings from a storage facility they used to store my things into my apartment. They reduced my overall price by $100. This also saved me A LOT of money. I would have been charged shuttle and stair fees probably in an excess of $500-700.

Bottom line, I moved 1500 miles, I paid just over a dollar a mile, and I got everything within two weeks, exceeding my time frame expectations. It wasn't great, but it wasn't my worst experience using similar services, so thank you!

Long-distance move from Peoria, AZ to San Antonio, TX

Unresponsive to my inquiries and complaints!

I shopped around getting multiple offers for my move from Peoria, AZ to San Antonio, TX. I selected USA Logistics because the cost was reasonable and the sales person said it would be delivered in 4-7 days. I paid the deposit and waited for the truck to arrive. The truck which was scheduled for Monday, August 12 arrived 2-days later on Wednesday, August 14. Three men came and did a nice job of packing and securing my belongings onto the truck, but once they were loaded they told me there was an increase in the cost because I exceeded the measurements of the original estimate.

I had a couple of additional items and asked if they would fit in the allotted space. The lead mover said there was plenty of space but made no mention that it would be over the space on contract. Now loaded, what was I going to do since my belongings were already packed? The cost..double of what was quoted.

Then in the small print, it also stated that it could be up to 21 days for the delivery. What happened to the 4-7 days quoted to me by the sales person? There were big issues for getting more medications and medical supples since I had packed them all on to the truck, keeping only a 10-day supply which left me 5 days without any supplies. How could I refuse the new rate and delivery time frame when my belongings were already on the truck and I was scheduled to vacate my Peoria home? I was kept hostage to USA Logistics' demands and I had to surrender.

On day ten I made several calls to the the number listed on the contract regarding the scheduled delivery to my San Antonio home. I was promised a return call but never received it. Finally on day 14 the actual driver called to schedule the delivery. Truck and driver arrived at 7:30 pm on Friday August 30 with only the driver there to unload.

I am disabled and confined to a wheel chair so I was unable to help. He unloaded my belongings into the house but I ended up with my buckets stacked 4 high with no room to access them. Delivery, not including set-up, of all of the items was finally completed at 11:00 pm.

A week later, I am still not able to get to my belongings including my indoor wheelchair which was disassembled when loaded.

Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with the services I received from USA Logistics .

Long-distance move from Vallejo, CA to Water Valley, MS

Never again.

Please avoid using USA Logistics out of the Sacramento CA, Sun Valley CA or anywhere else in or out of California. I spoke with Peter Smith. He gave me an estimate well below all other movers, but once Tyler or Taylor and his guys came to load, Tyler or Taylor, figures out every possible way to Jack up the estimate well over $2000.00 and I did not have that much weight or other items from what was estimated over the phone with Patrick Smith. Once they walked into the door they began to grab and pack while Taylor was busy keeping my attention off of the packing, and by the way, I had already boxed wrapped and packed most of my items such as my own mattress and boxes. All they had to do was wrap my sectional and a few other items such as the 2/40 inch TVs and some smaller items. I did most of the work myself. (It only took them, maybe 40 minutes to load and go. Nothing is free such as the boxes, tape and wraps, because as I stated, with the jacked up price over $2000.00 it included everything. My weight was estimated at 1200pds. I was well underneath that. Moving companies will rip you off such as USA Logistics. They will also allow your stuff to be mixed in with others moving on a semi and then you have to figure out how to get that into your other property and I helped unload my own stuff once it was brought to my new residence and your item are not safe. Overall, USA gave me the worst experience in moving and it was the most uncomfortable move I have ever made. Will never allow another moving company to help with my move again. I have lived my own stuff several times by renting my on Uhaul and came out better as for keeping my stuff safe, correctly packaged and cheaper in the long run. Please be advised that hiring moving companies such as USA Logistics is not in the best interest for your peace of mind and keeping your belongings safe. USA Logistics out of California, You Guys are a fraudulent company/business. I hope people review these facts and true claims against you. Worst mistake in hiring USA Logistics. By the way, have tried to contAct you about broken items and you are of no help by not responding!

Long-distance move from Chandler, AZ to El Paso, TX

The Worst Company Ever.

Anyone seeing this review take heed to all the other negative comments and DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!! How they are even still in business is beyond me. They are OVER PRICED! THEY DO NOT CARE about their CUSTOMERS. We received some items damaged and when I called to see what I should do, a lady by the name LUPE was extremely rude. She was no help and clearly lacks customer service skills because rather than understanding my concerns and trying to aide in a resolution as most people in the customer service industry do, she was belligerent, yelling, speaking over me, and even hung up on me a few times. When she did decide she should lower her voice she told me that my damages were what I SIGNED FOR! I asked for a supervisor to complain and expressed that some serious reprimand be done but she assured me none would. That right there just shows what a poor company that USA Logistics really is. I have had some bad experiences with people and companies but this takes the cake. All they care about is charging you as much as they can and being done with you! Had I looked at the reviews before hand, which I normally do, we would not have gone with this company. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. I wish it were but I’ve never experienced this kind of customer service before!

Even one star is too generous for this trash of company.

I moved from Bay Area in California to Washington this summer (2019). I got three estimates from three companies. Tom, from USA Logistics, gave me the lowest of all. I read reviews about how bad they were and I emailed Tom to express my uneasiness. He assured me the reviews were fake and posted by competitors. The DOT website, he said, is legit, but that the number of complaints is natural for the industry. I went with them.
Movers come and right off the bat say: we go by weight and I can see you'll be over weight. I said, "okay, tell the weight on the truck before and after and we'll take it from there." They refused saying there is no scale on the truck, but they had to go to weight station. He said, give $400 and we're good. ($400 was still $500 lower than the next estimate.) I agreed.
Delivery day comes (in WA). Right off the bat they say, "there is no room for our truck. It will be $400 for a smaller truck." I pointed the loading dock and said, that is completely open and available. They couldn't refute that. So next thing the guy said was, "it's a long haul and there is an elevator fee; it will be $300." Tom had given me a binding estimate, so I called USA Logistics on the spot. Tom was not available (and after calling him several times after the delivery was over I have never been able to reach him by phone or email). I told them to go to hell. They said my stuff will be in Tacoma (about 30 miles from where I was moving). They started driving when they stopped and said, "we'll do it for $200." Again, that was still a lower than the next estimate, so I agreed.
I wish the story ended there. They stole 9 paintings. The box with my art work never showed up. I called and emailed Tom; I posted a complaint in with the DOT. I will never see those paintings again. So, to sum up, this is a super shady company (and by the way, they are not a moving company; they acted as a broker--the movers were with Atlantis Moving). They are AWFUL and DISHONEST. Go with someone else. Do your homework. Record your conversations and tell them you'll do so in case you post a claim with the DOT--hopefully that will make them not try to gauge you.

Long-distance move from California to Washington DC

Don’t use this company!

In July I started an internet search for a moving company to transport 6 itemsfrom Sacramento to Washington DC. I was contacted by several moving companies and was given quotes ranging from $ 1200 to $ 2500. I chose USA Logistics. The salesperson, Tom Parker, sent me a “binding moving estimate” in the amount of $1198.68 to move an estimated volume of 756 lbs (108cf) at $ 1.65 per lbs. I was asked to pay a deposit of $ 298.68 by credit card, then I would have to pay by either cash or chèque $ 450 at the time of pickup, and the remaining $ 450 would have to be paid at time of delivery either in cash or certified chèque. We arranged a pickup date , August 23, between 5 and 7 pm and I received follow up calls and a couple of emails up until the day before the crew came to collect the items. I had notified USA Logistics that I wouldn’t be there, but my sister-in-law would be and gave her contact number.
The driver called me three times and I had to give him my sister-in-law’s phone number twice, as the company hadn’t provided him with the new contact.
I received a phone call from my sister-in-law @ 11:08 pm (Texas time) and she tells me that after loading the furniture on the truck, the driver is saying that I have 200 cf, the total price is now $ 2261.68 and I must pay $1177.66 at this time with an additional payment due at delivery. I talk to the driver and point out that I was quoted a lbs weight and a price per lbs. Anyway there was no possibility that the furniture would occupy 200 cf. We argued for almost an hour and asked my sister-in-law to give this (very rude) man a chèque for the amount he demanded, make a note of the exceptions we had on the paperwork and I would pursue this with USA Logistics.
I started calling USA Logistics on Monday, August 26 asking to Tom Parker. I was told he was busy with other customers. After several calls I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that I needed to speak with Robert Owens. I tried contacting him , and again both Tom and Robert on August 27 and 28. I emailed both of them, never received an answer, and eventually managed to speak with Robert Owens on August 29.
I explained the situation and he said he would talk with the driver and call me back within an hour.
August 30 I sent Robert an email confirming sizes and cf of each piece of furniture. The total volume is 65 cf.
I didn’t hear anything from Robert or anybody else at USA Logistics.
September 21 I sent Robert an email with a detailed recap of the events and asked for an update on the delivery date and a resolution of the discrepancy in prices.
September 22 the recipient of the furniture was contacted by the carrier saying that the furniture would be delivered September 23 and there was a balance of $ 785 to be paid in cash or money order.
I sent a message to the carrier telling him that I still hadn’t received any clarification about this balance from USA Logistics. I emailed Robert and called the company expecting to leave a voice message The phone was answered by a person that told me to call Robert Monday morning after 11 California time.
Shortly thereafter I receive a call from Karla who’s quite upset because the driver has called saying that we don’t have the money to pay the balance. I try to explain the situation, I mention the emails I sent and the estimate that is different from the paperwork that the driver at pickup gave my sister-in-law. She tells me that she has read everything, she can’t waste anymore time, she will talk to her boss and let me know and slams the phone, thus ending the phone call.
I sent her an email specifying that I had agreed to shipping and paying for 75I wasn’t asking for a reduction of the agreed price.I just didn’t want to pay the $785.
Needless to say, I didn’t get a call back. Only a very short email to tell me that I had to pay the $785
I have already filed a complaint with BBB.
Avoid this business at all costs!!

Worst Movers.

My husband and I have moved all over using various companies over the years. This was by far our worst experience ever! USA Logistics tells you what you want to hear and gives you the best quote until you sign the contract. We received a $4700 estimate and when the movers arrived, they told us the total was $13,500!! Peter Smith is the worst person with the best sales pitch, don’t fall for it! You will regret it if you go with USA Logistics.

Unrealistic estimate and false promises.

Their estimation are just joke. Provided me estimation of 1500 but original was 4000. Ha ha never saw so much difference in estimation. They just do it to get your business and doesn't matter later .
Was told they include full refund insurance with amount but My computer desk and carpet were damage by them and what I got was merely 40 dollar refund which is calculated as area damage * $0.60. what a joke, they are of no use and the refund is not even the value of carpet.
