We booked our move 2 months in advance. On the date of pickup nobody had yet contacted me to confirm when the movers would arrive, despite me calling daily for a week. Then they cancelled my move on the date of pickup even though we already had fights booked. This cost us great extra expense and stress. We still have not received a refund 3 weeks later despite my signing the contract for refund and calling multiple times. This is by far the worst business I’ve dealt with. I hope they don’t hurt anybody else

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1700

On 7/12/2021 requested quote and then paid deposit via eCheck, I was informed that the check would NOT be presented for payment until 72 hours later. Called company back 4 hours later to cancel move. They then informed me that the eCheck had already been processed and refund would be issued within 14 days. I patiently waited for the refund, 18 days later I contacted them regarding refund and was informed that they never received the payment. Had to send them copies of bank statement showing the the money was removed from my account. As of 8/12/2021 I have yet to receive my refund. I will be handing this over to my attorney and contacting the Department of Consumer Affairs that deals with Interstate moving.

Shame on me for allowing them to rob me of $1500.00

I also will be contacting AAA to let them know that this company is a scam.

This is the absolute most ridiculous excuse for a moving company j have ever encountered. Horrific customer service. They picked up my belongings, did not have enough space due to dispatch not updating the truck. Dumped my kids toys all over the street while putting things in the truck. They had my items for 30 days and would not respond to texts, calls or emails. I did receive one email response from Lisa during this time who just kept telling me my things were in route with no actual delivery date. Today the truck showed up late after 7 hours notice. Luckily it’s a weekend so I was home but I didn’t have time to find a place for my dogs so I locked them in a bed room. They started unloading my things and then the driver told me I still owed the $2700. I had already given them $2000 at pickup. They put their manager on the phone and handed it to me. He proceeded to cuss and yell at me about paying my bill and would not let me speak. He hung up on me and then the driver and his partner left and took my things. My grandmothers ashes, all of my child’s clothes and shoes to start school on the 23rd of this month. All of my furniture. Mattresses. We have been sleeping on the floor for a month. I called the emergency line for Gold Standard 10 times with no response. This company is an absolute joke.

This Gold Standard Movers are nothing but group of Fraudulent business people. Recently, I had bitter experience of getting refund for a reservation, I canceled the next day of booking my reservation. I read reviews after booking and then canceled immediately and probably avoided nightmare with my planned move.

Now I am fighting for my 1/3 refund (under $1000) for several weeks. It's over 1 month, yet no refund. After initial 8 -12 days had expired, every time I call them, I hear that refund will come in 3 - 5 days. Today I was told that because of "COMPUTER Issues", my Refund will be further delayed by 3 - 4 weeks.

Please DO NOT BOOK with this Moving Company. You would suffer bad consequences and repent your decision that you booked with them.

ZERO STARS. It is July 21st, all of my belongings in the world are at an "unknown location" with the criminal subcontractors that picked up in Michigan on June 12th. I am in Florida. Gold Standard is doing nothing to intervene, despite dozens of calls to them. They are criminals, pure and simple, everyone should be warned to stay far away from them. Customer service is non-existent, they consistently provide stall tactics such as "you must email customer service" then you get no reply to the email. Or my favorite that there is no supervisor - ever. They have now blocked my calls, as I wanted to confront the lying salesperson that told me I was "sharing a truck with another customer", and it would take a week to arrive. Guess they felt that was better than stating they subcontracted to criminals in Georgia that are holding my belongings hostage AND the subcontractor charged $550 more at pickup than quoted, THEN the subcontractor forced me to pay 75% of the balance before the "21 BUSINESS DAY" clock started ticking for delivery. Again, criminals. I have filed Better Business Bureau complaints again both companies, and plan to talk to FL state licensing to see how they can even allow such an unscrupulous company to exist.

Paid $2655 deposit. No movers showed up, no call, NOTHING! I was told I would be getting a refund of my deposit in 9 to 12 business day. On day business day 18 I was told it would be another 9 to 12 business days because it was not processed! This was after a call on business day 13 and 16 assuring me that it would be processed by day 18. They would not connect me or give me the number to the accounting department so that I could rectify this problem. This seems to be nothing but a scam operation!!

This is just a intro review. This company needs to be investigated and shut down asap because of their criminal mode of business.

I used them to relocate from GA to MN. They gave me an estimate and promised to call me for a final walk-through of exactly what I have to be shipped; they never did. The final call determines how much I'll ultimately pay, and if I still wish to work with them or not base on the price. Reached out to them and no one answered their phone They delayed my pickup day by a whole day, which caused me serious hardship on my job and my family. They finally came the following day and added $2000 plus on top our initial estimate for a mere 2 bedroom. At this point they know I and my family desperately need to leave GA.

Like I said this is an intro interview. I don't have my property yet. I am still waiting for them to just simply review the inventory list after 3 days of moving. That's a long time!
