Please do not go through this company. I have been told multiple lies and I am afraid that I will never receive my refund. The first lie I was told is that 3 people in their billing department have covid and they are short staffed which is why I haven’t received my refund. I was skeptical but decided to wait two days before calling back then I was told the second lie which is everything has been delayed and even though I have already waited 16 days I will have to wait another 2-3 weeks before receiving my refund. I then ask if I can be transferred to their HR department and the worker replied that he cannot transfer me but he can put in a request for me to receive a call from the supervisor. I denied and asked for the supervisors office number and the worker replied that they are not allowed to give out numbers…. This company seemed like a great fit when they first contacted me. However, now it is starting to feel more like a scam. Everyone please be aware before committing.

I strongly suggest not to believe these guys. They quoted me less to get my business. I want to rate 0 star but it is not accepting it so given 1 star. I was not sure of the number of boxes but I clearly told them that boxes were kept in one 10X15 and two 10X5 Uhaul storage. Scott gave a quote and confirmed that this is the final number and it will not change but when the movers came into my storage unit they told that this will cost $10,700. This is more than double what Scott quoted me. Eventhough they commit for earlier time in day the movers came after 6pm EST because that is the time the office will be closed and no one will pickup the call. Even Scott has given his direct number and that voice message is full and does not accept any message. I am not ready to pay $10700 and refused it. Now when I spoke to the company customer care said I refused the service and they will not refund the initial amount that I paid(that is $1555). Don't go by the feedback of others who are writing positive review. I am planning to put a case against them now but don't even thinking of going with them anymore please.

Your company did not for fill your end of the agreement

Pick-up was to be made between 14 Aug 2021 and 16 Aug 2021. Did not show up until 18 Aug 2021 . Customer service was horrible. Third party you hired horrible. I ask to speak with a member of management or owner , your Rep. stated there was no one I could speak with. Basically your company stole our money.

The third party tried to charge us a additional $3000 dollar at pick-up . This is the way you get around the contract. If customer doesn't pay up , then you say they refused service.

I hope the whole world reads this and see the type of Company you are running!!!

I reached out to Gold Standard Moving about hiring them for an upcoming move from IL to OH and paid a deposit of over a thousand dollars. I later cancelled the reservation within their refund period and my refund was approved on July 5th. According to their email, I should have received the refund within 9-12 business days. This did not happen and I still haven't received it as of August 20th. They have given a variety of excuses during this period and I don't know if I'll see that money again.

WARNING!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!! This Company is a FAKE and will run your deposit as "check/cash" so they can keep $ even if you do not receive any services!!! MULTIPLE Business Bureau Complaints! MULTIPLE FMCSA/DOT Complaints. DO NOT GET FOOLED by them!!!!! SCAM Salesman gone after 2 weeks. Customer Service says whole sales department out with Covid. Hour and half wait on hold when calling. Can't get address where your belongings will be stored to buy insurance. Gold Standard brokers Trucking company with nightmare reviews of people never getting their belongings and want CASH in your driveway!!!! GS pick up email says must pay Trucking company on the spot and they will not take Credit? The only way to dispute fraudulant charges is via CC. This company covers their tracks if you know what I mean. The cancellation department will try to bully you and threaten by saying "so you are committing wirefraud over a recorded line" when you tell them you will be alerting your bank. List goes on and on. STAY AWAY!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

I recently tried to do business with them they went to go pick up my storage unit I responded to a call and ask them to reschedule the time frame they said OK but the truck still went when they wanted to and the lock could not be opened it was broken so and it was broken so tried to reschedule they said OK Afterwards they never called me back or sent me an email I called them multiple times Try to reschedule they said no we tried to call you and email you which I have no emails or calls And then told me we will not be doing business with you and we will not give you a refund .

I cannot even begin to list the horribly unethical and unprofessional actions of this company. The initial person I spoke to lied and manipulated me into signing a contract and pressured me into it without giving me time to read it (he literally told me I either sign it right away or they’ll charge me ~$500 more). I was promised my items would arrive before starting work on a specific date. I called several times and offered to have them come as early as needed to ensure it was all there before that day (which, at the time of signing the contract was almost 3 months in advance). I was repeatedly told it wouldn’t be a problem.

They assigned a carrier to move my things, which was a company I looked into and had horrible reviews, several complaints against them through the BBB, and a clear history of damaging property. I had no choice and was never able to get a hold of the person I initially spoke to (who promised me I could call him “any time”).

It’s been over a month and they keep telling me they’re well within their window (they’re not) and just keep ignoring my requests for information. I don’t even have a copy of the contract (they will not provide me with one- this should be illegal). Customer service takes 1 hour + to get a hold of and they sign at me, basically tell me I’m stupid for signing the contract, and don’t care. I could lose my job because the documents I need still aren’t here and I can’t even tell work when I’ll get them. They also charged me hundreds of dollars more than they said they would (despite my having significantly fewer items than I was contracted to- and yes I measured squared footage and called several times to make sure I wouldn’t be overcharged).

They’re very careful with their wording to avoid lawsuits, but I will do everything in my power to ensure no one else is exploited by this horribly unethical company. No one deserves to have someone pressure them into a contract and then have customer service representatives be condescending towards them. No one should be unemployed during a pandemic because a moving company gave them false information. They also do not take credit card payments, because if they did people could file a claim to be refunded since their business practices are unethical and what they say and what you sign are two completely different things.

This company is morally bankrupt and I encourage any interested party to go in another direction. I chose this company because I thought the cost was fair, but how I’ve been treated and my self worth, my job, and dignity are worth more. My advice: run away from the predators at Gold Standard Movers.

On June 6th, I called Gold standard moving company. Olivia, told me they are a 5 star moving company, BBB accredited and they are not a broker and that other companies are scamming me and they are an actual moving crew. Later I saw that all the reviews were fake on Google as they are here. My pick up date we scheduled for June 18th to 20th and she said she will be available anytime via her direct line and text. Right after that, she became unreachable. Everyone in the company were. First, they told me my electronic check that they forced me to pay the down payment with has bounced. I called my bank and they said no such thing has happened. I called gold standard back and they said I should give them a new check. I refused and the guy on the phone yelled at me. I said I am not giving you a new check until you void the previous one. Guess what, the check magically went through after than. Very big red flag. But just the beginning. They called the day of my move for me to be ready, and I realize they contracted another moving company, East Freight. I was so angry specially since I literally flew into the city for the move. They ghosted me the entire window until the contractor called 30 mins before they were arriving. Delivery date was supposed to be July 16th. On July 15th I get a call that my stuff has not moved at all in the last 4weeks but they will have it here in a week. She apologized a lot and said I will get partial reimbursement. East freight has no customer service and send all my calls to voicemail. and now I have been blocked. And 6 weeks later I don't know where my stuff is or when it will arrive. Gold standard keeps saying another week after having me on hold for an hour and said it is not their problem and there is no guarantee date. I made a complaint on BBB and they say it is not their concern and I should take it with the contactor. I am looking to take legal action.

Avoid this company at any cost. I had a terrible experience with this mover. Initially they sent me a quote which I accepted & paid advance for the same. Then just before few days from the actual move they gave me a call & started asking double money for no reason. I gave then complete inventory list on 1st day; I gave them a complete inventory list with actual pictures of all my belongings & then had a video call to make sure we are on the same page. After doing all these they started claiming double money for the same inventory started behaving very rudely. Finally, they cancelled my move few days before my actual move date & still didn’t refunded my initial deposit. At the time of cancelation, they told me that they will refund within 9 to 12 business days in written. Now they are saying it may take several months due COVID. I am consulting with authorities to take legal steps against this company & wanted to aware others to avoid harassment with their upcoming move.
