East Coast Moving & Storage

1) Original estimate included all the same items as pickup (289 cubic feet estimated), I am not a moving expert nor do I claim to know how many cubic feet my items occupy. This could all depend on how the movers packed the items in the truck, therefore since the items were same at pickup as described in the estimate I do not feel responsible for this additional charge of 111 cubic feet.
 
2) During pickup the movers claimed my items occupied 400 cubic feet however would not allow us to verify. They were "anxious to return home" and advised "disputes are to be made with corporate".
 
3) The cubic footage rate charged on final paperwork was handwritten at $4.15 instead of $3.50 listed on the estimate contract. This in turn increased fuel charge by $70.
 
4) Charged for bed covering $80 not listed in contract or mentioned by sales associate when asked if there were any additional charges not covered in estimate.
 
5) Charged additional fee due to paying with credit card, not advised by sales associate and differs from the contract. I paid first 30% with an American Express which contractually they do not accept (inconsistent). The movers advised credit cards are a 3% increase, the office stated 3.5% increase and the forms state up to 7% increase (inconsistent). My credit card was charged $373.77 instead of $359 listed on the estimate (which is not consistent with any of their increases).
 
6) Sales associate advised I should receive a call 24/48 hours prior to move to secure date/time. I wasn't called by the company until the 5/25/15 at 7pm EST. I emailed the sales associate that morning to request an update. This was the day I had requested to move and the mover asked if he could come pick up my items at 10:30 pm EST, he then advised to disregard the other voicemail I received stating 8-10am pickup and they would arrive at 7am EST. They did not arrive until 9am EST on 5/26/15.
 
7) The movers were unprofessional, the foreman was on the phone with his significant other stating that he would be home soon. He complained the whole time that he was on site stating he had not been home in a month. He also stated they are contracted out to a variety of moving companies, however East Coast states they are employees not contractors. The foreman kept acting as though he was doing me favors or that most people at that company keep things from the customer, insinuating there were many more "hidden" fees than what I was being charged.
 
8) The foreman was a large 350 pound 6'4 man who intimidated me to fill out customer satisfaction form while he watched. I was determined to dispute the charges before he left however he stated that he was in a hurry to get home and I would need to "contact HQ". 
 
9) Advised on 5/28/15 that there is a minimum of $1,200 moving however it is not on the estimate forms or anywhere in the paperwork.

I have booked my home belongings on 3rd May 15 and till 29th I was only following up on their call center number and after long hold they say 'we are trying to contact driver and get back to you'. No calls received.  After long time they come with HUGE HUGE truck and then called me said Truck is not going inside apartment area and you need to pay for Shuttle service ($450 extra). When I pushed back they immediately returned without delivery and no call nothing after then. When I started following up again, now they are saying you need to pay for Shuttle Re delivery charges.
I got frustrated with this moving service company.Once they got full payment from customer they have no care of customer goods/belongings.
I really need help and I am still stuggling with this company for my belongings.

I recently moved from Tallassee, Florida to Michigan and I just have to say I was surprised with how polite and professional the staff was at East Coast Moving and Storage. They showed up at my apartment in a timely fashion and were extremely efficient. When they arrived early at my new house in Michigan I was extremely grateful that nothing was damaged or stolen. If at any point in the future I have to move across the state I will definitely be using this company again the pricing was fair and affordable.

I hate moving, even if it's just a few miles away. Imagine moving to a whole new state!! My family had to move from Pennsylvania to Ohio for my husband's job. I had never used a moving service, but my friend recommended East Coast Moving and Storage. The planning was quick and easy. On moving day, the workers showed up. They were friendly, courteous and ready to work. All of my property arrived in perfect condition and I could not be happier with the results!! I would recommend East Coast Moving and Storage to anyone who needs to do a move, whether it's down the road or across the country!! .

Moving has always been a pain for my family. The kids never want to pack their things. Personally, I don't blame them. But the actual moving part gets exhausting.We moved from Florida to Colorado and East Coast Moving & Storage were some real life savers. On the day of our move, the movers showed up early(which was awesome). They were careful and proffesional; never once did my family have a problem with them. When we finally got to our new home, they were there waiting for us with all of our possessions intact. Our final bill was quoted at around $3000. Definetley the best way to go!!

My daughter and her two children were coming back home to Florida and had a house-full of furniture, clothes, toys and personal effects. I have a friend who lives near her who had recently moved from Florida to Texas. When I asked who moved him, he recommended East Coast Moving and Storage. I'm glad I took the recommendation. The quoted "estimate" was exactly what we paid. Everything was loaded with care, and the driver and loaders were great with the kids who wanted to "help". Everything arrived in one piece. They unloaded and placed all of the cartons and furniture where my daughter asked them to, and they took extra care to protect the doors and walls. They even wiped their feet every time they entered the house. This is a professional moving company and I highly recommend them to anyone.
