Very fast.

This team was excellent and professional on the telephone and also in person. From packaging and loading into the truck, this crew coped during Two hours that is great. I did not have lots of stuff; even so, another movers estimated my moving for more than 2 hrs.. They performed a wonderfully. Absolutely nothing was broken. Simply great. Thank you very much.

Long-distance move from Maine to Michigan

Couldn't have gone better!

I had my move planned out for at least a month prior to the big day, however that changed when my dad got admitted to the hospital the day before he was going to help me. He had appendicitis and therefore would not be able to help me move, and I was forced to look at a second option to move.
I looked no further when I had found East Coast Moving & Storage. They met all of my needs and took care of all my goods while moving with extreme caution. The staff made me feel as if I was their only concern and that's all I could ask for, they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of, and my move went as smooth as possible. It didn't take more than a week to complete my move and I had everything the way it was supposed to be before leaving.
I rate this 5 stars because not only is the service top notch but you can't argue with the price either, I couldn't have asked for a better experience in a rough time of my life.

Long-distance move from Ohio to North Carolina

Never Showed up - Kept Deposit!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!
I hired East Coast Moving and Storage to help me move from Ohio to North Carolina. To complete my reservation with East Coast Moving and Storage, I had to put down a $705 deposit.
On the moving date (Saturday 9/19/15), THE MOVERS NEVER SHOWED UP!! Customer service does not work on the weekends, so I could not reach anyone to let me know why the movers did not show.
I asked for a refund of my deposit early the following week. They apologized, stated they would send a check, but THE REFUND NEVER CAME!
I followed up on 10/9/15. They stated they would send another check. THE REFUND NEVER CAME!
I followed up again on 10/16/15. They said no check had been mailed out and a check would be mailed by the end of business. I asked for a tracking number and they refused. THE REFUND NEVER CAME!
I have been fighting for this refund for over 6 months! East Coast Moving and Storage RIPPED ME OFF! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!

Long-distance move from South Carolina to Florida

Loved it.

Moving can be such a pain, but this company really made it so much less painful. They arrived ten minutes early, were very polite and respectful, and were very clear about the price. There were no surprises, no changes, just straightforward affordable, quality service. Nothing was damaged and the whole process was as good as moving can get. I would undoubtedly recommend this service.

Long-distance move from Florida to California

Great Experience.

When I found out my husband was moving us from Florida to California I had no clue where to start. A friend of mine recomended East Coast Moving & Storage and i'm glad she did. I always dread moving. Moving into a new house in a different neighborhood is stressful and hard enough. Moving across the country is monumental. They were so nice and very professional. They made packing up a 4 bedroom house almost seem fun, and for only a little over $3000-a lot less money than I expected. They arrived on time and worked hard doing everything they could to get us packed up and moved on time. Once in California, I couldn't help wondering what condition our "house" would be in once it arrived. How much damage would there be? To my surprise though, the only thing damaged in the move was a vase that my son accidently knocked off a shelf. They arrived on time as promised and we received the same professional service we got in Florida. I would deffinately recommend East Coast Moving & Storage to anyone and everyone in need of a moving company they can trust.

Never showed, never called, won't refund.

My experience with East Coast Moving & Storage was deceptively good, right up until the point I paid a non-refundable deposit. After that, the company stopped making any kind of effort to serve me and I had to keep calling them with questions like, "Exactly when will my movers arrive?" I was finally told to expect movers "either Saturday or Sunday, we'll call you 24 hours ahead of time to let you know."

On Sunday I received a call from a dispatcher saying the movers were delayed until Monday morning because the original drivers had just had their licenses revoked by the Department of Transportation. How can you trust a company who admits their drivers were caught breaking the law?! I then literally never heard from East Coast again until I called 5 days later to tell them I had already rented my own truck and driven the 1000 miles myself. At this point East Coast claimed that the team assigned my move had apparently gone AWOL and not done any of their scheduled work for the past week. Weirdly, no one from East Coast felt the need to contact me at any point to let me know about this or to try to make alternate arrangements for my move. They took a deposit of over $600 for a quote of about $2000 for the move that they never actually did, and since they won't accept credit card payments I had to pay by direct debit and I have no way of disputing this charge for zero services rendered. I have, of course, never heard from them again. I have no doubt that this company (which claims to not be a broker, but definitely is a broker) sometimes works with reputable drivers who actually do their jobs, but this did not happen in my case. I would have rather lit $600 on fire. AVOID.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Colorado

Dont do it.

East Coast Moving has treated me terribly at every step of the process. My items were picked up late. The people who showed up were not aware my quote included them packing my 1-bedroom apartment into boxes. After the items were placed on the truck (at 9 PM) I was told I owed more than twice the binding estimate. It took 6 weeks for my items to arrive, despite my binding estimate saying they would be delivered in 10-14 days. At one point, I was told my items were in route. I called a week later, and was told they were still in my state of origin - my packing slip was sent with someone else's goods. They cashed one of my checks twice, and I got an angry phone call when I cancelled one of the transactions through my bank. 9 of my 69 items were missing when they arrived. 2 pieces of furniture were broken, one beyond repair. I filed an insurance claim. 150 days later (well after the 120 days the movers are legally allowed to complete the claim) I received an email from the insurance carrier saying my claim was being referred back to the moving company. I called East Coast Moving to determine why my claim has not been resolved. They say the claim is not their responsibility, because my goods were moved by their subsidiary company. This is despite the fact that I received a quote from East Coast Moving directly, and it was their employees with whom I interacted at every step. I cannot imagine a worse experience with a moving company. Please save yourself the headache and use someone else.

Great Moving Company.

Moved from my vacation home in Florida to my primary home in Texas and was taking a fare amount of furniture with me. These guys were great. They treated my furniture like it was their own. No dings. No scuffs. Arrived on time. Gentle with furniture. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to move or going to move in the future.

Long-distance move from Texas to North Carolina

I won´t repeat.

I sent all the information (telephone and mail) about all my stuff and furniture to move. I told them that the pick up apartment was in a 3rd floor without elevator and that the delivery apartment was also a 3rd floor without elevator. I told them that I also wanted someone to come to my apartment to have a very accurate estimate (they told me that they were not going to come and that I did not have to worry because with all the information provided was enough not to have any surprises the pick up day). I wanted my furniture 3 days later and this was one of our agreements..they were commited to achieve this goal. They sent me an estimate and make clear that I could pay the pick up day with my credit card, so everything looked like it was going to be ok and smooth. This was the reasons why I contracted them. Well, everything was completely different. At the pick up date the company that came was a sub of East Coas Moving (so they sold the job, also at delivery with a 3rd company and this is why they are brokers). They only accepted the payment in cash so I had to run to the bank, they increased the bid because of the stair and long hauling (so, they lied when they made the estimate to get the job), then, at delivery (and having payed everything in full) they arrived 5 days later than our agreement so I had to spend a good amount of money in hotels and meal. During weekends nobody is in their office so you can not talk with them and they don´t care because what they wanted is the money and the job. At delivery they also wanted to charge me again for the stairs (I told them that I was not going to pay any more), and last thing..they lose my TV I don´t know where and a lamp. They also damaged my table and some boxes. With this experience I won´t contract this company never again and I wanted to share this with people that need a moving company. My advise is stay far from East Coast Moving and Storage.

You can't find better service anywhere!

On my recent move from Florida to North Carolina I contacted East Coast Moving and Storage to help me out. I am so glad I did! They were professional and friendly and helped me and my family so much with our move. Moving is so stressful, and we move around a lot and in the past I have had horrible experiences with moving companies breaking my stuff, charging ridiculous prices or just beg rude. But not East Coast Moving and Storage! Everything arrived undamaged and the price was very reasonable. I will make sure to recommend this company to all my friends and family who are moving.

Never Use East Coast Moving And Storage.

Quoted an amount and ended up paying double.

Pickup date was changed without my knowledge.

90% of my furniture was damaged when delivered.

Filed claim form for damages, did all that was required by company for refund and I'm still waiting for the refund check after 10 months.

Customer service is rude, obnoxious and degrading..when they actually answer the phone.

No one documents anything you tell them in your file, so they are all unable and unwilling to help you.

Lies, passing the buck, hidden charges and damaged goods are this company's claim to fame.

Outstanding Service!

The company's service was amazing to say the least. The staff was very professional and friendly. They moved fast and handle all our belongings with care. They were punctual with pick-up and delivery, and all our stuff was delivered with no damages which surprised me due to my previous experiences with moving companies. They brought our stuff in a days time and were in and out before I knew it for a very reasonable price compared to the other local competitors. I was more than pleased with the professionalism and overall service they provided to me and family on such short notice. It was worth every penny for their wonderful service. I highly recommend that if you're looking for a tier A moving price for the right price, then look no further. From my experience with them compared to my past experiences with moving companies, they EASILY beat out the competition with their upstanding professionalism, outstanding service, and price.

Lost an item & never answers the phone.

You can't call their number. They never answer or return calls. They "lost" my 60" tv and never processed my claim. They only responded by email after I contacted the Better Business Bureau. Still no word on what they plan to do about my claim. Awful. Just plain awful.

They were supposed to be cheaper but after adding a bunch of other costs, it was too much.. They said they could have my things in California by a certain day but when I scheduled with them they said they needed time for their truck to unload in California, drive back to Texas, grab my things out of storage (should have never been there!), and then deliver to California.

Had to call the cops and kept increasing the price.

This is not a legitimate company and I was verbally assaulted to the point of calling the cops. First we were given one quote of 2400 and then they quoted 3200 when they arrived. They were confrontational and then they stated that the 3200 was without the initial deposit we made of 700. This basically doubled the price. They only said this when the truck was almost completely packed. They also told us that if we did not pay in cash, it would take 14 days to get to our new home. The contact person I had told me an estimated 3-6 business days and never said it had to be cash. This was not on any of the paperwork. The sales person said it would be fine to add our washer and dryer. When I inquired about when they were going to load it, the mover lost it and started screaming in my face. I told him to take our stuff off and he refused unless I paid him a thousand dollars. He continued getting in my face and screaming. I told him if he did not stop screaming at me I would call the cops so I did. Mangers at the company stepped in and had him keep 100 feet away from us. Rather than finding another mover and to avoid the charge of unpacking the truck, we let them continue. Once they finished packing and left the managers ignored any further contact from us except via text to confirm drop off. When they came they were hesitant to take furniture upstairs or put it together. The mattresses were stained black. The shelves in the bookcase were not taken out so they fell and got scuffed. They never inventoried our dining room chairs so they are now gone. They still still not respond to and phone calls. Basically they threatened me, held our belongings hostage unless we paid cash, and committed theft by keeping our chairs. I have reported them to multiple agencies.

Long-distance move from Milwaukee, WI to Green Cove Springs, FL

Horrible Company - Stay Away.

Horrible Company! Pick up in WI was on October 21st. During pick up, I was asked when they could deliver. I told them the following Friday would be fine. Not a peep from them until I started putting foot in their butts.

Best part, I was first told $1690 for 500 cu. ft. Then at the time of pick up, $2227.50 for 600 cu. ft. My thought, ok fine I had more then expected. I'd given them $1660 from the time I signed with them to the day of pick up.
After pick up happended, they kept telling me my balance is $1717.50.

Today was my delivery day, 6 weeks later. I received a call from Jeremy and he was still sing the song of $1717 for the remaining balance. He told me to send proof of the 3 deposits I made, and he'd have it resolved at the end of the day. However ,the driver who called just 2 hours before he showed up was already at my house. I left work after being there just 2 hours. I was missing out on money while trying to get the delivery taken care of and the driver couldn't do anything until I paid $1717.50 or the deposits were found on the companies end. Funny after I couldn't hold my tongue anymore and sent them copies of documents I kept, they found both deposits and "approved them".

East Coast Movers are the Worst.

Please DO NOT USE EAST COAST MOVERS! They quoted me a price of one thing and when they finished loading items on the truck the quote went up by $600.00. They took my stuff from Florida to Texas it took them 15 days and they told me that it would be three days..NOT! When they finally arrived to deliver my items they wanted to the money order upfront without going through my inventory with me. Then they wanted an extra $140.00 dollars! After I refuse to pay them they left my stuff in the streets. As I was taking my items inside they took off with two unsigned money orders and some of my items!
Please spread the word and don't ever use this company!

Horrible Experience.

They issued me a binding estimate. They were late to pick-up so I changed the date, they demanded another $100 for doing so. There contract clearly states "We will not penalize you for date changes". They are currently pulling the "Hold your stuff hostage and demand more money" common scam routine on me. The owner is one of the most foul language, nasty, rude human beings Ive ever interacted with. The sales reps lie to you and provide false delivery dates in order to gain your business.

Long-distance move from Miami, FL to Portland, OR

Stay far away from this company.

I have had nothing but problems with this company. American Eagle (who later contracted my move out to East Coast Moving) picked-up my goods on Oct 19. It is now Nov 14 and they are still sitting in a warehouse. Don't believe the contract when it says they will deliver 21 business days (at the latest). That is 2 days from now and it has not even been put on a truck. I have called several times per week and each time am told that it will be going out in 2 or 3 days. I am constantly told I will receive a call back and do not receive them. Then, last week on Thursday, I was told that it went out on Tuesday (two days prior: 11/7). When I called today, Tues 11/14 I was told that it actually did not go out and was still sitting in the same warehouse. I've attached my notes from my conversations below so you can see the wildly frustrating time I have had.. American Eagle is who I contracted with, East Coast Moving is who they outsourced it to.

10/19 – Was picked-up. Driver told us it would go out the next day if I called tomorrow.
10/20 – Called Lainey at American Eagle and made the second payment and released the delivery.
10/23 11:50am – Called American Eagle for a status, they could not give me one. Sat on hold for 15 minutes and then they hung up. Called back and talked to someone who said they’d have to research and get back to me.
10/23 12:28 – East Coast Moving called to confirm that I am “ready for my shipment” – I said yes… there was no reason to wait.
10/24 11:48am – East Coast Moving called and asked about the second payment; told her the second payment was made with Lainey on Friday. She said she would check on it and call me back if there is a problem.
10/27 8:40am – Called and spoke to Sarah and East Coast Moving… their systems are down, she said she would call me back today. (May have called back on the 971 number but I cannot get into vm) No call back received.
10/30 7:51am – Left a VM (East Coast Moving) as no one answered.
10/30 7:54am – Talked to Sasha (American Eagle)… she will contact East Coast Moving. (Sasha’s direct number: 844-239-8463 x618)
10/30 – received an email back from Sasha that it is still in storage and has not been assigned to a driver, yet. Then, a later email that it will go out in the next 2-3 days.
11/3 12:06 – called American Eagle Moving… no one available. Called East Coast (Chuck Torrez)… 1879.17 is the balance to pay when they arrive. They will call on Monday to let me know what the plan is. Driver is assigned.
11/6 8:31am – East Coast Moving, no one available. American Eagle, no on available. Tried East Coast Moving… (Chuck Torrez answered this time – runs customer service for both groups). He says they are telling him that it will arrive by the 16th or 17th. Asked for him to have a manager call. Chuck said he or a manager would call me back today.
11/6 pm – Chuck called back to say that it would leave on Wed and arrive by the 15th or 16th.
11/9 10am – East Coast moving customer serv -> no one available… East Coast moving dispatch -> no one available… American Eagle Moving Dispatch -> Aaron… he tried for 20 minutes to get someone who could give me an answer but it looks like the dispatcher is out to lunch. He said he’d have them contact me directly.
11/9 1pm – East Coast customer service -> Spoke to Chuck … swears he saw it loading on the truck. It left on Tuesday at 1:03pm. Estimated in five days… 3 drivers… coming to me and then on to Hillsboro. He’ll call me back today or in the morning to give me the estimated delivery.
11/14 9:25am – East Coast customer serv: no one available. American Eagle dispatch: talked to ??.. he said he was going to call dispatch then call dropped (after waiting on hold for 10 min. Waited 7 min, no call back… called again. Talked to Sasha (9:45am)… she said she would find out and call me back.
114/14 1:23pm left a vm for Sasha. Then called American Eagle customer service – spoke to Harry who claimed to be a manager. He said “7-10 days for delivery”. Said it was leaving today and would be 7-10 days. Asked to speak to the general manager… Derek. Derek confirmed the above information but flat out refused to provide any financial break or guarantee that it would go out. He also refused to let me come take possession there and ship it out. He said the driver would call me after he is on his way. He was very offended that I suggested that they are in breach. He said Dept of Transportation says they have 30 days (which would be Saturday) to get the stuff to me. I told him it would be delivered beyond those 30 days and he said there was nothing he could do. He refused to let me speak to anyone above him and was just angry.

Long-distance move from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Los Alamitos, CA

Made my move easy!

First of all I have to thank East Coast Move on their flawless execution, from initial scheduling to pickup and delivery, they were with me every step of the way. My move with East Coast came on short notice, yet their quality and expertise far surpassed my wishes and expectations. I had just gotten a new job in California but only had two weeks to be there and had no idea how I would be able to accomplish moving my family, household and myself in such a small time-frame. My moving coordinator, John was especially helpful in keeping my stress levels down as he gave me his word that they would be able to accomplish this with maximum precision, an agreement which he and East Coast definitely delivered on. I was given great tips on how our items and furniture should be packed, so what I thought would be entirely difficult was actually fairly easy thanks to this amazing moving company. I found staying in contact with John proved to be a valuable affair. I was quoted a much lower price than the two companies I previously contacted and saw some pretty good reviews on this company so of course I decided to use them as my valuables are very important to me, some of which belonged to my grandparents so the nostalgia I get from them (like grandma's old coffee table) were worth a lot more to me than their actual price. I put down a pretty small deposit and when moving day came John called me to ensure he alleviated any anxiety I was feeling (thanks John!) to keep things running smoothly. Once the moving guys loaded my things onto the truck I got my family together and we set off on our journey across the country to California. We arrived at our new residence in California just before our stuff got there so we could make sure all of our things were still in good condition (they were) as they came off the moving truck. Lo and behold, not one thing was broken which we could easily tell by the way the boxes still looked new and freshly packed as the movers unloaded the truck in an expeditious manner. I cannot say how pleased I was that none of grandma and grandpa's old things were broken or misplaced and as for all the other items, they were in A+ condition. I would definitely use East Coast Move again and recommend them to any friends or family that consult me on which moving company they should use to make sure everything gets from point A to point B, carefully. Thanks again John and East Coast Move for such a great moving experience. I start work on Monday, so wish me luck!

Liars, cheats and scam artist.

**DO NOT BELIEVE THE 5 STAR REVIEW USING MY NAME** At least get the cities right, wow. I have my lawyer on that one. Little do they know they are trying to scam the wrong people. Lucky for my wife and I, we are well connected with South Florida law enforcement who have taken an aggressive approach to assure we will not be scammed further. From BSO sheriffs and Sargents, Broward County Detectives, Hallandale PD, FDLE, Inspector General, Lawyer and attorney friends, A very high powered Judge in South Florida, and the kicker which makes them extra stupid, my wife's father is in the Secret Service Miami Branch in the fraud and counterfeit department. How do you think that is going to end for you? Honestly. There is no need to write anymore because the same thing that has happened to all the 1 star reviews is happening to us now. Don't do like me and fall for the fake BBB rating page where they gave themselves an A+ ratings, scroll further down the page. Read all reviews sites on them, even facebook page comments. Do your homework and stay away. I'm in the logistics business, I know when jobs like this are brokered out which they claim to not do.
I got the old bait of a 6-7 day transit and it is now day 24 and it is still sitting in South Florida - Pembroke Park to be exact, with every excuse from, it'll be there at the beginning of next week, to it's in route but the truck broke down and needs to be fixed, but it will be an extra 3 days once it is fixed but we also don't know when it will be fixed to, the driver we had going there had a family tragedy and know we are looking for a new driver. So wait, were is our stuff? It's in a storage unit in Hallandale, FL. So it has never left FL this whole time? no it's safe at our storage. Man, good luck to them if any of our stuff is stolen or damaged, it'll get real ugly.

Dave.

These people are predatory scammers. I signed a contract to have my belongings moved from Michigan to Virginia Beach. I put a $550.00 deposit down via electronic check. We set the moving date and it was confirmed the day before the move. They did not show. I called multiple times and there was no answer. I left multiple messages and received no return call. They took the money and ran. I lost thousands of dollars as I had to get a new company to drive overnight from Roanoke VA to pick my shipment up. Repeated efforts of trying to contact East Coast Moving and Storage left me with nothing. They are rip off artists. I spoke with Anthony and Jeremy. I think they are made up names. I have my attorney pursuing this case and I'm prepared to go the distance just to have them locked up. Stay away from these people!

Worst expirience ever. Look them up on Facebook.

We got a lowball quote which included a motorcycle, a 14 foot diameter trampoline, 2 full sized bed sets 6 dressers, a couch, a love seat and two arm chairs, and a 12 seat dinning room set, among many other things. The quote was for less the 4,000. The day they showed up they said the quote was wrong and it would 10,000 even though we no longer needed them to take the motorcycle, or dinning room set and quite a few other things. They were supposed to include a year of storage its in the quote (but ended up trying to charge us for 2 months of storage). We ended up spending over 13,000 to get our stuff back. They held it hostage until we paid. When it was finally delivered, half of our stuff was missing or broken, including the kids bicycles, our end tables, barstools, many plates and bowls and glassware. We were told to file an insurance claim with the company, its been 4 months and nothing. We also recieved two boxes of kids toys that are not ours, we have tried to contact the company and even have joined a Facebook page against these scammers ( East Coast Movers Are Scammers!! ) Trying to find the rightful owners of the things that were delivered by mistake. Have been told by many people that a lawsuit would be pointless, cost more than we would get back, and if we won, they could close up shop before paying us and we would be out the money.

Thank You.

We recently made a move to Florida and wanted to thank the professionals at East Coast Moving. I had done research on several moving comanies and My husband and I are very pleased with the service and price. In addition to a very large china cabinet there were several heavy antiques. All of our items arrived on time and without damage. The men did a great job and we would recommend them.
