East Coast Moving & Storage

I had recently moved with east coast moving from IL to NJ. When they started the move they charged me for more cubic feet, even though I had provided almost exact items for my inventory. That jacked up my prices to almost $900 bucks (that include hidden costs like flight of stairs) When I talked to sales agent I told him that I live on 3rd floor and he should consider charges for flight stairs. He did not consider well enough with this and that jacked up the prices. The real trouble is not pricing, this may very well can happen. But jacking up to $900 is something. To me real problem was delivery. They delivered my items with damages. My queen bed is completly shattered (although frames are intact, but all frame connector screws and other parts are missing, that make my bed completly unfuctional) Delivery guys were in real hurry, they did not even fix my TV and left it for me to fix it.  After reading few reviews, I thought my experience would be decent with these movers, but on contras it was exaclty opposite.

I hired East Coast Moving and Storage to take care of my move and I couldn't be happier. After reading all the horrible things that had happened to people I was thinking about just moving myself. But after I spoke to Kate she put my mind at ease. The movers were polite and very professional. They kept in contact with me updated me along the way. When they delivered everything was in one piece and they did a great job. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable REAL moving company. Thank you East Coast for taking great care of me and my family. Moving is stressful enough but by far this has been the smoothest experience thus far.

East Coast Moving and Storage took care of my move for me from Texas to California this past weekend. I move a lot for work and usually the company handles it but thus time I had to. It's not easy trusting a stranger with your most prized possessions. Rich my rep I booked the move with was great. He was honest about all the charges and gave me the real price of the move. In the end I paid exactly what he said I would. They delivered my stuff in 4 days and everything went very smoothly. I couldn't of asked for a better company. If your moving save yourself the stress hire these guy. Thank you Rich and East Coast crew!

The following review is of the awesome experience that I had with the East Coast Moving & Storage. At first, like most people I know, I wasn't too sure about them. I am just that way with most companies that I have little to no experience with, and for good reason I won't get into here. So after deciding to pursue their services, I made THE call. This first impression is always the most important to me. This would make or break the my decision to go with them. I was surprisingly pleased and impressed with how fast I talked to a real person when I called. Not the usual overloaded menu system everyone seems to be using these days. I connected quickly to Earl and he was so wonderful and so helpful. I was actually pretty surprised with how easy it was to make the appointment with the movers. Earl was super nice and very efficient at getting me setup with my move. He definitely knew what he was doing. I thanked him and waited for moving day. When moving day arrived I eagerly watched to see what time the movers would actually arrive. To my surprise the movers were on time! That in itself was a huge surprise! They showed such care and respect when loading all of my items and they were some of the most courteous people I have ever met. I really liked talking to them. They were very efficient at getting all my stuff ready to go as well, I liked that a lot. The cross country drive time was right on the money for arriving at my new home in sunny CA. They made real good time. When they arrived at my new place they showed the same care and respect for my belongings as when they loaded it up in FL. I was able to to get my stuff off the truck and in my new place all before dinner. I was happy I had the rest of the night to settle from the move. I really like the company and I would definitely use them again in the future for ANY moving needs. Thanks guys!

To begin, I would like to state that I couldn't have went with a better company. The efficiency, kindness, and professionalism of the salesmen was unbelievable. The circumstances under which I was working with weren't very negotiable, but they surely did their best to move my belongings within a decent time range. 
I am an IT professional and recently transferred my home and office location from Florida to California. This means moving a lot of electronic devices, file cabinets for storage, desks, chairs, along with my personal belongings. I also have a 7 month old, which meant ensuring that his belongings weren't damaged during the move. The pick up day was on a Wednesday, and I had to be in California by that following Monday. I'm sure you can understand the amount of pressure I was under; not having faith in my own ability to get all of my things from one state to the next. So on that Wednesday my things were carefully loaded onto a large truck and I was informed that I could expect my belongings to be delivered by Sunday. 
Thursday my infant and I boarded a plane for California. We arrived,  settled in, and got familiar with the area in which we now reside. On Saturday my things were delivered. I couldn't believe how quickly they arrived. Everything was in the same condition and I couldn't have been more thankful for how considerate the men were. This allowed me time to comfortably organize things. 
If you are moving from one state to another, I highly suggest going with this company! They are considerate, kind, and very reliable. Great Customer Service, Ultimate Experience! Thank You!! .

Moving was stressful enough without worrying about whether or not our stuff would make it to the other end. The employees and movers made it less stressful for us by being attentive, friendly, and professional from first contact to the very end. The anxiety I experienced in trusting someone with our families most precious things was set to ease when I talked with employees. Upon arrival they treated out possessions with the care and respect I was promised. At the end of the long journey our things were just as they had been before. Great customer service from one end of the trip to the other. Hopefully I don't move again, but if I do I will call these guys!! .

So I've heard some negative reviews about this company but they seemed like they were thrown way out of proportion. I decided to try them anyway to see how bad they supposedly were. I sent them an email with my inventory list and we agreed on the movers arriving to the house at 10 am. They showed up at 9:58 and three guys. I was careful to tell them which items were fragile because I didn't want them breaking anything. However, I found out that this was unnecessary as they were extremely careful with everything. (This was very noticeable when I looked over my stuff when I arrived; there was only a cracked photo in one of the boxes, but that was undoubtedly because I dropped the box while I was rearranging some of the stuff around) They arrived at the time that we arranged over email and and were just as careful unloading as they were loading. As for the cost,  we agreed on around $3000, which I found to be completely reasonable considering the amount I had to move and the service I received. I've recommended this to another of my friends who was considering moving and they were equally please with the service.

These guys are awesome. Helped us move my 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom house. Super efficient and professional. Covered all furniture with protective sheets and tightly wrapped each one. Nothing was damaged in the process. They disassembled and reassembled our furniture. No hidden fees, no surprises. We will be keeping them in mind for our next move and will certainly refer our friends and family to them. Highly recommended. The cost of the move was about $4000 coming from Miami, Fl to Richmond, CA, which took 12 days, which is great under these special circumstances.

I am extremely disgusted with the service of this company. I dealt with this company almost 2 and half MONTHS ago and I am still dealing with this company with the BBB. They were unprofessional the entire time after they received my down payment and I wish I would have backed out then. I went from being quoted 1440 to over 2100 as soon as one of the "helpers" walked through. He didn't really look at anything just walked through my home and said "oh I see right off that you will be taking up more space than quoted for". I tried to talk to my sales rep multiple times and they would not let me. The same woman and guy kept answering the phone. My sales rep, Mark, finally answered my emails a few days later about my items. I was told I would receive a delivery date right after they picked my things up and I didn't get a date till 14 DAYS later!! Who does that?! Surely not a professional company. How do you expect a family to be without their household items for 15 days?! And not know anything at all till 14 days later?! They were so RUDE to me when I would call asking about MY things. Like seriously?! I paid money for those things. Of course I have the right to know where they are and when they would be delivered. Especially after paying more. If you want to be cheated choose this company!! If you want your things delivered 2 weeks later after moving to your home, choose this company!! If you what your valuables to be stored in a NON East Coast moving truck and items BROKEN, choose this company!! If you want rude customer service reps talking to you like you're an idiot, choose this company. I tried to settle with this company telling them if our original quote could be accepted basically we would be okay but no they are money hungry and didn't agree. We want the money to pay for our broken items they WILL not pay for. I mean 120 days to finish a claim? What a joke. This company shouldn't even be allowed to service anybody!! Bunch of brokers!!
