Centennial Moving

Avoid using this moving company. They give you lover rate in the beginning and then you end up paying double. They do not care about you or your stuff just about your money. They do not take any responsibility for the damage caused by their crew and are not going to reimburse you. Their "claims department" is a joke. All they do is sending you ridiculous email explaining why they are not going to pay you. We had damage for $1000 and they offered us $50 expecting to avoid negative review. We were very disappointed.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8300

My family and I just moved from Ontario to Alberta. I researched endlessly looking for a great moving company that was not only reputable but took pride in what they do! We had such an amazing experience from beginning until the end. Warren is a top notch associate there. He was super friendly, and went out of his way to make sure that we were satisfied! They were such a transparent company. There price was a bit different, but so was the quantity of our stuff. No dispute there. Warren let me know if there was a difference in the weight what it would be by the pound if over 2000 lbs it would be .49lb plus scale fee plus the delivery fee + tax. He even offered for us to go see the truck get weighed before and after. Which was nice to know that they gave us that kind of transparency. We did not end up going because we had to much going on that day.

They gave us 5 weeks of storage which was included in the price that was quoted to us. We did end up storing our stuff for 2.5 weeks which was included. When our stuff arrived, everything was there. NOTHING WAS MISSING OR BROKEN! A plastic bin or 2 was cracked but they were already cracked when I packed our stuff. The guys who packed the truck in Ontario were very fast and friendly, and so were the guys who unloaded our stuff in Alberta. I will definitely use this company in the future 100%!

I researched several companies before choosing Centennial Moving, their initial quote was comfortable for openers but they "claimed" my actual weight of goods exceeded the quote estimate and added a surcharge of $600.00 to the end amount. When I repeatedly requested "John" to provide me a final statement, and way scale document he refused to comply. So I suspect the final bill was inflated, and I will be taking further action against them through CBC Investigative "Go Public".

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1800

The price seems to be low at the beginning compared to other companies. But, they have their own way of doubling the price at the end. And since your items are in their hands and you need your items asap, you cannot do anything to prevent them from adding to the final price.
Firstly, they almost add 1000lb to the actual weight of the items (extra $600). The unfortunate part is you cannot prove that they are wrong once they have picked up your items and did the scaling.
Second, their movers are completely unprofessional giving you wrong information. I asked the movers whether it is possible to witness the scaling which they told that it is not. So, they picked up my items and scaled it later and provided the weight 1000lb more than what I have scaled myself.
Third, if you want the rescaling, they ask for an additional $400 and delay in the delivery of the items. Again, if the movers did not give the wrong information I could be present at the time of scaling in the first place. Although I tried to talk to their agent and the manager, none of them took responsibility for their mistake!
Forth, they add extra $300-400 for the shuttle services.
Fifth, they add an extra $120 if you have stairs.
Sixth, none of this information is indicated in the contract nor on their website. So you would think they give a reasonable price by signing the contract and making the deposit. But, in reality, you end up paying double the amount that you calculated based on the signed contract.
Be careful with them or you will lose your money if you only rely on the contract! I was expecting $1600 at max based on the contract, ended up paying $2800 based on hidden fees (their dirty way of business)!

We moved from a large home in Kingston to a home half as big in Vancouver. Needless to say, this was very stressful and a complicated long distance move. It was also complicated because we needed to coordinate the move to our new home a week after we closed on our old home in Winnipeg. From start tom finish Centennial made the move easier. We even hired them to pack up our Kingston home and deliver into our new home in Vancouver. We unpacked ourselves. Centennial was very accommodating and understanding at all times, even under the pressure of getting us packed and loaded in the same day. And the prices were reasonably competitive for the work done. Highly recommended!

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3100

I needed to move last minute long distance during the busiest moving season, not only were they able to get the load done in a half a day, they got all of my stuff on the truck and delivered in a week. Great business took great care of my stuff and the customer care was excellent. I am extremely impressed with the company and how they do business. Between the very fair cost (that was not jacked up after packing up the truck like most movers seem to do) but they were timely, friendly, respectful and very nice good hearted people. A huge 5 stars from me. I highly recommend them.

This experience was painless! The arrangements were made for my long distance move by my daughter and I received the services outlined.They did everything they said they would! They took extra care and protection of all of my belongings. The three men completed the task in what I deem as record time and kept all of the items separated. One set going into a pod. The other going into their trailer. There was no confusion. They were congenial and a pleasure to work with. So glad we were referred and the price was reasonable.

This is my third long-distance move. I had a nightmare experience Uhaul with my last move. After inquiring different companies and reading several reviews, I decided to use Centennial Moving to move from Winnipeg to Toronto. They offered a competitive price; there were no hidden fees. You pay for a base rate, plus 10 cents/lb for each lb exceeded. Compared to other companies that I've used, their customer service is excellent. They are super responsive by email. They left Winnipeg on a Friday and arrived to Toronto by Tuesday, which blew my expectations (was expecting 1-2 weeks). All larger furniture items were appropriately wrapped in furniture cloths. Vitaly (?) and Thomas were the movers who met me in Toronto. They were professional and efficient; they even offered to help re-assemble some of the larger furniture items that were taken apart for the move. From what I can see so far, nothing is damaged. Will recommend and use Centennial Moving again in the future.

Great experience. Moving to a new home after many years with many cherished possessions was a daunting task. My team was utterly professional, extremely helpful and met or exceeded every expectation. The office set the groundwork for a successful move and stayed in touch from initial inventory to Final delivery. My movers were professional but friendly, extremely helpful and thorough and treated my possessions with a great deal of care.Their coordinated, efficient effort resulted in a surprisingly rapid load and unload time. I strongly recommend Centennial.

Xavier was extremely caring and kept in touch with me every step of the way before my move. He even called me the day after my move to see how I was doing. The team of Juan, Luis and Dominic worked very diligently, did not waste my time and took great care with my items. I chose them because they offered storage and my new home will not be completed for another 3 months. I'm glad I chose them for their great customer service from the owners to the professional moving team. They arrived on time, completed loading and worked very hard in the heat. It's rare to encounter great customer service in today's world and this team excelled.

I booked a move from Toronto to Vancouver. The date was all set and I had friends and family schedule their day to assist us. Late in the arrival window I received a call advising that due to an event in Toronto, the truck would not come. They insisted that roads were closed from Vaughn which was strange as that's where my parents drove in from. Anyway they rescheduled for the next day. Although I requested them to accommodate my work schedule, they called in the morning with a 2-5pm window to arrive. At about 5:30 I received a call informing that the movers wouldn't be coming because their earlier move went late. My partner had to take the day off work to accommodate. When asked to make things right they offered the equivalent of $15 off.

TLDR; Terrible dispatch - I don't think they've head of Google or Google Maps. Terrible communication. Insulting remediation.

This is a trustworthy company and very professional. After researching several companies, I decided to use this company. The estimate was based on weight , and I was told that if the weight was over then the cost would be more. I was emailed and contacted on occasions with regards to the cost (after all I paid like 2100$). Everything was clearly explained. When the driver Nick arrived at my residence, he professional, he was careful to pack a few items that were not in boxes and carefully made sure that everything was loaded up properly. They were very considerate of my belongings and after my belongings were on the truck, he took a picture to show me. My belongings arrived and I have nearly unpacked everything, and so far not one piece is broken, and no scratches on any furniture. I would definitely recommend this company and its movers to anyone that is considering a long distance move. With all the bad moving companies out there, this one is truly a standout.

I moved from Ontario to Manitoba and I had back & forth communication with the team. Everything went smooth, the pickup guys in Ontario were on time and gave me a call 30 min before arrival as I advised them to do so. All the things were moved carefully from my apartment on 7th floor and loaded properly. Things arrived quite fast, within a week in Manitoba and was again unloaded properly and delivered to my apartment. The moving guys were great and polite. No damage to any of my belongings & everything arrived in perfect condition.

My only concern was the change of date. We decided to make the move on 9th but they changed it to 5th so we had to pack things very fast. Also, I told them to inform me 30 min before arrival, but they didn't call me and they had to wait for 20 min as I was not at home.

Apart from these, my moving experience with Centennial Moving was awesome.

Going from my experience, the reviews on this site are valid. Contact with the office was concise and their response times were carried out quickly. The pick up in Toronto was done as outlined and the drop off was made within my requirements. The men worked with skill and were careful with my stuff. As previously stated I can only go by my experience and that was a good one. So I will use them again if needed and will only speak positively about Centennial Moving services to others.

I moved from Richmond Hill to Saskatoon. My experience with Centennial was positive and they really exceeded my expectations. It was my first long distance move and with so many negative reviews of movers, I wasn't sure what to expect. I checked out several companies and chose Centennial based on reviews. I am very pleased with my experience. They gave me a most competitive estimate, they were in contact will me all the time, and the movers on site made sure that all my stuff was picked up. Delivery in Saskatoon was on time and completed efficiently. Nothing was damaged or missed. I am very satisfied with the services Centennial provided and recommend them to others.

We moved from Scarborough up to Timmins. It was a major undertaking for us and Gary at Centennial made sure everything was perfect. It started with our in house estimate. The representative showed up on time and was fully prepared. We received a complete and detailed estimate. And it was accurate! Then, they showed us exactly how to do our part in packing and to prepare . On moving day our driver Phillip showed up on time and did an outstanding job of packing the truck. We had a number of antiques and fragile items that he carefully wrapped and protected throughout the journey. It took longer to load up than he planned but it was the work of a "true master" who would rather do it right, than fast. They arrived in Timmins exactly as promised. Everything was perfect. Absolutely nothing damaged. Nothing was lost and the really important fragile stuff was as good as it was when it left Toronto. We've heard all the horror stories about moving, but we found the right moving team and were blessed with a completely favorable experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
