Still have not recieved a dime from this company, total loss of 3 bedroom home and wood working business 75k loss. At there warehouse fire on July 12 2018 at Londious St.Check Los Angelos News for video.

Filed claim within 9 months. Anthem Claims says they have not paid any of the claims and refuse to.

They keep claiming under new management and still training employees for the last year. They will get to it.

BAIT AND SWITCH.

These people are crooks.

1. I sent a detailed spreadsheet with measurements of each item so they could provide and accurate quote. They quoted $2200 to move me from CA to CT in 10-14 days door to door.

2. On moving day, the foreman realized they made a mistake and quoted someone else's items (a dresser and an ATV? Which I don't have). He told me the price would be $4300. On moving day, I can't do anything, I can't sell items or give stuff away because ITS MOVING DAY and everything is packed. They have u by the balls and they know it. (I'm hind sight, the fake quote they provided is a scam, they give everyone that quote).

3. Customer service is a bunch of Neanderthals. Every email takes 5 days to get an answer, which they never provide an answer.

4. I have been asking for a detailed invoice of all charges for 2 weeks and they still have not provided it. Only a crook would avoid putting charges on paper!

5. They're demanding I pay in cash? Who has $5300 in cash lying around? Are u kidding me? And who would pay $5300 with no insurance from these bandits?

6. They picked up my items on 10/17 and said 10-14 days to deliver. Its now11/9 and I still don't have my stuff. They are saying MAYBE by 11/15. I have paid rent for this entire month on apartment I cannot occupy. I have had to pay for a hotel for each night these incompetent a-holes are f&cking around somewhere in the middle of the country.

7. Now they are telling me they are charging me an additional $995 for a shuttle fee. Totaling this move at over $5300!! Note: I am moving back into a house I lived at in 2014. I moved in and out of here with 2 moving companies who did not need a shuttle!!

8. I offered to meet them 1/2 way on price, which I should not have to do because it's there mistake, but I offered to pay $3k for the move, $800 over my quote.. and they then threatened to keep my belongings.

I've had to threaten to call the police. I've had to contact them over 15 times to get zero information on the location of my belongings. Terrible terrible.

Moved from IN to CA they made us rush two days before the scheduled pickup date. We waited over three months for our things. Than they call us less than 12 hours ahead and said they were adding on 250$ because they had to get a smaller truck to deliver our stuff. So we contacted the main guy and he said just give them 500$ and I’ll cover the rest. We had already paid 1200$. But the delivery people didn’t like that so they took 400$ and left with over half of our things. Told their boss we were mean to them and lied. We let the use the bathroom and charge their tools that aren’t needed for this job. The boss Ben called and threatened us saying they are just going to throw it away. Than called and is hold our things hostage saying we have to pay 350$ more for them to come back and deliver the rest of our things. Instead of working with us they left because they had other deliveries. Everything we had planned for today is being put on hold because these people only care about scamming money out of people.

Moving is such a stressful ordeal, but after dealing with United, I can honestly say my mind has been changed. Family members have told me horror stories of their stuff not arriving on time, things missing it broken, and rude movers. The movers that came to pack my stuff went thru my inventory 1 by 1, and everything was there when I unpacked. The movers who brought my stuff put the furniture and boxes in the rooms I asked them. They also put my bed, and my kids needs together too.
I did wait 2 more days longer than what I was told, but the driver, Mere Schmidt, stayed in contact with me, which I appreciate, so I won't take points off for that. And the prices were within reason, which is perfect for a single mom. They were the best option of all the places I had contacted.

United Transportation Moving & Storage has truly earned every 5 stars review they receive. My husband and were online looking for movers. We put together the list of movers and I looked at everyone’s yelp and saw reviews including damages, extra charges and delivery. But I also saw a lot of the good reviews which were mainly about the service, professionalism and hard workers.

After reading the reviews and speaking with the nice lady named Tamara, I knew I wanted to hire United Transportation. After speaking with Tamara, she emailed me the moving price and paid the deposit next day. I was worried my inventory list was not accurate and told Tamara my concerns, she suggested we did a video chat instead. There was an increase as suspected, but she did everything to keep the move affordable. This was my error, not a bait and switch tactic by them, and to be honest they could have pushed the price way up, but she talked with the supervisor and he agree to give us a good price.

My husband work requires us to move often. We have moved more than 10 x in the last 10 years. The day before Anna called me to confirm the pick-up time, I was nervous, and I ask Anna to please send a hardworking, honest, and courteous crew. They were some of the best crew and company we have ever dealt with and we have done this 10 x many times.

Moving day, we loved how every team member was hands on extremely hard working. Not one of them was slacking, there was hustle and caution. They had all the necessary equipment to move any large items. My husband has a Grand Piano, they packed it and moved it without hesitation.

Our move was long distance across the country and loved that we had a dedicated truck only for us.

Delivery went smooth, they help me with the furniture placing which was a big plus for me.

We had some damages to a cheap cabinet, they showed us the damaged item and then offered a very fair price compensation. Our last mover did not show us the damage thinking you won't bother to call the claim, most of the time I don’t. United Transportation Moving & Storage exceed all my expectations, Tamara made my move easy.

BOX STOLEN!! We had a box with spare antibiotics in it that rattled loudly when you moved it around. United people must have thought that there were pain killers inside and kept it. USE OTHER MOVERS. Other unpleasantries that happened with this company:

I am relieved and satisfied, we have moved everything with great help of United Transportation. We moved from Los Angeles to New York. The move was great and fast as promised. We were very concerned because we own lots of unique furniture. The guys were amazing; they wrapped and cardboard crates every item in our house. Upon delivery, our belongings found to be perfect, with no sign to any damages. Thank you everyone! we are very pleased. Highly recommended to anyone in moving need!

I dont write reviews, but this one was needed. I would give zero stars if possible.

To start, we were quoted 4000 and once the items were loaded we were told 8000. If we said no and unload we would have lost our 2000 dollar deposit.The entire experience with this company has been terrible. Our first date of delivery was December 30th. In the contract they say they can deliver within 21 days of that date for any reason. We lived in an empty house for 18 days till Jan 17th. Communication with office workers was terrible. Asking them questions was terrible, and trying to figure out where our stuff was located or could be delivered seemed like we were bothering them. When we finally got a delivery date and time we were warned by the company to take a picture of the check and send it to the office, and if the driver tried to up charge us or ask for cash call the office. I said "It sounds like youre worried about this guy stealing your money" Silence on the other end. The driver called my wife the day of delivery and said that he wasnt going to come that day and would be there the next day, my wife tried to get him to come that day and explained we had been sleeping on air matresses for a month his reply? "One more night wont kill you". That same night the office called to ask how the delivery went. They had no idea the driver didnt complete it. The communication is so poor. DELIVERY DAY. The first thing you must do is give them a check and sign the paper you later find out that is says you received all your items, how could you know that since everything is on the truck? This is how they get you, and why the things we are missing we will never get. Including all of out wedding photos and photo albums that are unreplacable. They dont care, you signed the paper. WE STILL HAVE 7-10 BOXES MISSING The driver had picked two guys up from home depot and was very rude to them. He also told them to not accept a cash tip and to only let him get the money. (I spoke with the two men after and tipped them individually.) After they had unloaded the items which I helped them do, the driver told me that they normally charge 185 to set up and move the items into the rooms, but he would waive it if I gave him a BIG CASH TIP. I said no way, put the stuff together and leave. Now for the worst parts. Once we had unpacked we noticed we had a box of large paintings that are not ours. I called the office and let them know and sent pictures of the items. WE STILL HAVE THEM! I want to send them to the owner but dont know who. My wife called the office to ask and they said "oh someone did call about missing paintings, but I lost the postit i wrote the customers name on" Sweet. That is the same fate of our missing items. I have called and email the office many times, and have recieved maybe 2-3 calls back in total in the experience. This company isnt in the buisiness of service, they want to get your money with the least possible output of energy in return.

I have to be completely honest here, I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with United Moving Inc. There have been so many issues that I'm just going to start from the beginning. I was extremely thorough when I packed my belongings. I used sterilite containers so that I could get the exact measurements, I had a list of all of my items with sizes, I had everything already broken down and organized so that I could give the correct information to potential moving companies.

When I got the initial quote from Kim, she came back to me with a bid of around $1400. I knew from all of the other bids from different companies, that this had to be inaccurate. I called her back and told her so, and asked her to double the amount she had initially quoted me at the very least because I did not think it was accurate. She came back with $3k, which seemed more in line with what other companies told me.

I explained to her that we were leaving the state on 4/12 as we had to be in Wyoming on the 14th to take possession of our property. I paid the $600 deposit and set a pick up time for 8-10 am on Saturday 4/10. We had multiple family plans that weekend, for us, since we were moving so far from everyone.

I received a call from Anna on Thursday 4/8 explaining that our pick up tie would have to be moved to Sunday, and that she would call me back on Friday 4/9 to let me know the time. During that conversation I told her that I needed the pickup time to stay the same. I never heard from her Friday, even though I called her direct line and the company line.There was no voicemail set up. I called and sent emails multiple times over the weekend. I never heard from her at all. The driver finally called me on Sunday morning at nearly 10 saying he was on his way. I was unable to be at the house, but my 74 year old grandmother offered to be there with the other half of my order amount in cash.

She called me in a PANIC. The driver told her that the size on the initial work order was incorrect. She asked him to calculate the difference, and it came back as $2200 MORE than the already adjusted quote. We had budgeted in a possible $500 dollar difference, just in case there was an issue, but $2200? That was astronomically different to what was explained. My mother had to drive over to help my grandmother deal with this.

The drivers ended up only taking what was written on the 'Quote', and even after stacking our cars to the absolute limit while still being able to fit our children and pets in the cars, we had to leave behind items. It has been over a week since our items were picked up by this company and there is still no delivery date in sight. My children are sleeping on air mattresses on the floor, asking me where their toys are. We had to go out and purchase over a thousand dollars worth of household goods just to keep our home running. I have had bare minimum responses to my inquiries, and I am trying to be as civil in this matter as possible, but I am honestly at my limit.

The amount of unprofessionalism and communication with this company makes me wonder they are even in business. On the website they claim to be "courteous and knowledgeable", but I have found this to be completely incorrect from my experience. Apparently, according to their site, they can be reached 7days a week, which at this point we all know is completely false.

On a move from California to Texas, an essential part for an adjustable chair was lost. The company really gave us the run around, and after we have provided all requested information, they stopped responding. On the last call to them, they were quite rude. The lady on the phone said she never received our information, she was not our contact anyway but when we asked her name so we could also send it to her, SHE WOULD NOT GIVE HER NAME even though she said the information should go to her! We paid for added coverage for lost/damaged items, but they will not honor the claim. We have been trying for about 5 months to get this resolved. TERRIBLE customer service!

USDOT 778030- BEWARE, SCAM, THIEVES, AND MAY BE USING MORE THAN ONE NAME, NUMBER AND ADDRESS!

I spoke with Jasmin to book a move for the 26th-27th of May from Florida to Kansas. Nobody called me to tell me when the driver would be coming. Finally on the 26th when I called them they said the driver would be there on the 27th. When the driver didn't show up on the 27th I was told that he had a move that took up 3/4 of the truck when it was supposed to only take up half the space and that he could come at 10 PM that night or on the 28th in the morning. I opted for the morning. The driver did show up in the morning. After he fully packed the truck, he said that he had to take pictures of my items on the truck to show the office and they would tell him if I would be charged more money. READ YOUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES GUYS (I'll share the link below). On page 6 it says: If the mover does not give you a new binding estimate in writing, or agree in writing to convert the binding estimate to a non-binding estimate before your goods are loaded, the original binding estimate is reaffirmed. Under these circumstances, your mover should not charge or collect more than the amount of the original binding estimate at delivery for the quantities and services included in the estimate.

Anyway, the driver said that my price of $1,250 is now going to change to $1,650. I told him that's insane and I would give him $1,000 via zelle and dispute the rest with the company. With that, he drove off with my stuff and said that my items should be delivered within the week.

According to the attached contract, the company legally has 2-12 business days to deliver my goods based on the mileage of my move. However, Adam and Alex continue to say that they legally have 21 business days to deliver said items.

As of today, June 24th, my household goods still haven't showed up and after reading the reviews for these people this seems to be very common for them. If you look at the links below you'll see that they are not BBB accredited and on the transportation website they already have 22 complaints this year.

Three days ago, Adam said they don't want my things because they wouldn't get that much money for it, he even explained the process he would have to go through to sell it (which tells me he does this often). We have no idea where my things are. I've been told a bogus address in Miami by Alex, and Adam told me it's in some warehouse in Georgia but he won't tell me the address. We even told him that we'll go pick the items up from Georgia ourselves and Adam said he can't do that because there's nobody at the warehouse to open up for us. He said that he's working on getting my stuff to me and he'll call me back to let me know if we can pick it up or if he'll be able to deliver it soon. He never called back (it's been 3 days since that conversation). Pray that these people get caught, and are prosecuted, and never do this to anyone else. Also pray that we get our things back. I hardly ever write a review, and no one at this company asked for one or suggested it. I just want to show my appreciation for their high level of professionalism and service.

I don't think anyone likes moving, I was dreading this day, we had a tuck full o items from storage and it was complicated. Plus I booked them for the move at the last minute.

Everything went so much smoother than I thought

you arranged it exactly as I asked, and his crew were amazing from the moment they arrived--on time. They had great attitudes, were fast, careful with our possessions, and highly skilled at fitting more than I thought could possibly fit into the space we had.

I will never look forward to moving but I will feel differently next time and will definitely use this company again. Thank you.

Tommy, delivery estimator, was responsive and helpful and the movers at both pick-up and delivery were efficient and professional and all items arrived undamaged. Communication with office and dispatch was terrible and it took almost 4 weeks with little information that I didn’t have to pester to receive. We got notice at 4pm that movers would arrive between 8-11am the NEXT day (after 25 days waiting) Movers arrived 4pm and again, no communication that wasn’t me pestering. No efforts to reduce paperwork in processing payments until final delivery when I was not near a printer or computer. Hugely frustrating that could have been mitigated by phone calls or emails with reliable updates.

Horrible Experience overall. Generally, I don’t write negative reviews, but I felt I needed to share my story of this painful experience.

To start off with the positives, the movers at pick up were nice and on time. Then it all went down hill from there.

The quote that United Transport and Moving provides does not include additional fees upon their arrival. Fees include and are charged at both pick up and drop off:

- $75 if the movers must walk greater than 75 feet and $75 for each additional 75 feet

- $75 dollars if the movers must use an elevator

- $75 dollars if the movers must use more than one flight of stairs and $75 for each additional flight

- If your home cannot accept an 18-wheeler moving truck, you will be charged a shuttle fee of $350 plus the rental truck (Uhaul or equivalent).

- Miscellaneous fees for packaging and wrapping material are not included either.

- If the movers are waiting for you its $95/ hour or $750 for a whole day.

Once your belongings are picked up, United Transport reserves the right to have your belongings delivered to your destination anytime 21 BUSINESS days (30 calendar days) after your requested delivery date. After multiple attempts to find out where my items were no one could tell me including dispatch. The company does not actually know where your belongings are located during the moving process. They missed my delivery date by 26 days and had my belongings in their possession for 40 days. United Transport and Moving cannot tell you a delivery date until 24 hours prior to delivery which makes it very difficult to plan. Upon delivery, most of the larger pieces of a furniture were damaged and/or missing. You must pay in cash or certified check before they open the truck to show you if your belongings made it or not.

Lesson learned here is that you pay for what you get. The company really does a very poor job at treating its customers right. When you call them or email them, they rarely respond or provide any insightful detail on your process. They don’t follow their own documents as they state they will keep you informed during the entire moving process, they don’t, and you won’t hear from them unless you call them. United Transport and Moving struggle to provide any idea of where your belongings are located or when they will be delivered. When you ask to speak to anyone that has any decision-making ability, they hid and refuse to answer questions. Lastly, beware of giving your credit card information to them, they will charge your card without contacting you for any authorization.

I placed a claim in March of 2020 for damaged goods and have yet to receive payment as of early December. The company in my opinion has no problem taking money but will not pay for their damages. When trying to call the company I have been hung up on numerous time by a gentleman named Alex W.

I am sure there are some good stories out there, but this was my bad one.

.It’s been 21 days since my move in (April 28th) 2 weeks since y’all “finally discovered the table was delivered at the stop before” and 2 weeks since I’ve heard anything at all.

From the start I did everything as a good customer should I scheduled over a month in advance (and the delivery date still was not met), paid my deposit, made sure I did the best I could to ensure a smooth transition from the date of pick up to the date of drop off.

And all I’ve got in return is unprofessionalism the scheduled delivery date was missed (wasn’t even notified until the scheduled time was missed), the inventory list wasn’t even made available until the driver arrived (i would’ve caught the missing items then, I said I’d file an insurance claim and was told since it wasn’t on the inventory list I can’t (that really took the cake), I was charged $700 more than the quote for “additional space” and I didn’t even get all my stuff, there were several items missing that I have since replaced and all I want is my kitchen table. I haven’t been able to sit down and eat with my kids as a family in 21 days! This is ridiculous I call and they tell me they’ll have the person handling it call back she still has not. I was already made to feel as if I was lying about the table even being in the unit by the delivery driver his words “are you sure you had a table” no I just go buying dinning room chairs as collector items. I have the original receipt from the purchase and I will go to my insurance and your insurance by the end of the week….shoot I’ll come get it just give me my table. PLEASE.
