I went with this company to avoid the name brand high priced movers. I had time flexibility so that was not an issue for me.  The contract listed clearly all the possible extra charges and I was of course concerned regarding what those charges would be by the end of the move. Ron worked with me even on his days off to answer my questions. I had some pieces of sculpture that needed special packing and care. Even paying extra for these services, I paid less than what I would have paid than if I had gone with a big brand name mover. I was very grateful to be saving so much money! Yes, they do work differently than name brand movers, and I am glad I took the time to shop around and ask questions. I spoke with other people at different times in addition to Ron in the company with other questions, and everyone responded well to my questions and requests. They got the job done well and I paid a lot less. I was also happy when the job was over that there were no additional charges. Just the tip that I had prepared in advance, that the movers well deserved. .

This company is either out-and-out crooked, or just in need of coplete re-staffing. To begin, the dispatcher called us one night and asked if we'd be ready for pickup the next morning. This was TEN DAYS before the pick-up date we had settled on.  We were quoted $800, of course ended up paying over $2,000, and I had to go back and forth again and again with everybody at the company since they apparently have ZERO communication with each other.  The dispatcher even had the nerve to make ME call his divers to sort out THEIR mess. Then we get a call the day we are leaving, and they inform us that they are AT OUR NEW PLACE ALREADY! Then the dispatcher threatented to put out stuff in a storage unit somewhere until we got there and we'd have to pay for it, and on top of that, we would've had no way to get our desk home if they did put it in storage. Also, we got rid of everything and had only around 35 or so boxes that were 1.5 cubic feet, from Uhaul. Those boxes, along with a single roll top desk, took these movers 4 HOURS to move. You read correctly..4 HOURS. I used to deliver move furniture and me and co-worker could have done the pickup in like HALF AN HOUR. Some of my very important music files came up missing as well as a few other things. Okay, so, the final insult..our credit card was charged for 2 deposits or $200, neither of which were subtracted from the total, then some sort of "estimate" which was another $919.27, THEN ANOTHER $2,015.20. So they basically charged us around $3,400 for the move. When I confronted them with the bill, they had to "check it out" which took a week and I had to speak with people that were clearly passing me off onto one another and offered no answers.  They finally told me it was an honest mistake, but I'm still waiting for our refund!!  A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE STAY AWAY.

I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a moving company. I needed to move from California to South Carolina and needed help. I was looking for affordable and reliable honest people to make this move easy since I had alot of stuff to haul. I called for a quote and spoke with Natalie. She asked a couple questions and instantly quoted me the best rate compared to other companies I called. On the day of the move, the guys arrived with a truck and immediately started packing and kept track of all the packed items. They were two days early with the delivery and all furniture was unpacked and set up in my new home in South Carolina. Natalie kept in touch with me from the beginning to the end of my move and made my move very pleasant.  If you're looking for an honest and reliable company, you can count on United Transportation Moving and Storage.      .

I had checked out several places for a big move. United was given the exact same information as the other companies. They came out under 1000-2000 under the competitors. So I went with them. I was to be picked up on February 6 2015 but they changed it to the 7th. Which I didn't mind. Was told it would be delivered between the 12-21 of this month. When they packed up things and had it on the truck it went up another 2400.00..Now mind you others had the same info. They assured me that my things will be delivered as promised since I had an address to go to. Had no choice at that moment. My daughters and I drove across to our destination on the 13th of this month and figured it would be another few days before they caught up to us. Each day I called and they would change the date.Each time I would call and they handed the call to the DISPATCHER ROGER, he is the most unprofessional person and bully. He kept putting me on hold and I would start to say something then he would put me on hold again. Said I lied about how much stuff I had and that they needed to wait for another truck..No ONE notified me of any delays that was happening. I am a single Mom with two of my girls and a granddaughter with me. No beds, dishes, furniture, in a house. I do not have the extra money to go out and get new things due to the budget of the moving truck. My granddaughter who is 2 has a difficult time sleeping , my 14 year old doesn't have the clothes that is needed for school, I have spinal stenosis and it's been hell on the floor. We now have been told that it won't be here till between 4-6 of March. Was told our stuff on truck with someone else going to Florida..That was two weeks ago..I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. I will do a follow up review when and IF my stuff arrives.  By the way NO ONE never came out ahead of time assess the total contents.

United Transportation was great! They made my move from Seattle to Texas easy and seamless. They were very professional, helpful, gave me constant updates as to where my shipment was. Our move went smoothly with them and the customer service was always very courteous. They were just a pleasure to deal with.   All of my packages arrived in perfect condition and they kept everything safe, in great condition. It was a great experience to deal with them and they really took the worry out of moving. I am completely satisfied with their services. Highly recommended.  .

Can I just say united transportation. First of all Moving is such a pain anyway and this one was just pure stress. We had a date set and everything in motion except movers. We had called, emailed a bunch of places, and honestly I had had enough I wasn't comfortable with anyone and they all seemed shady. My girlfriend then took over and within minutes sent me this link. I called and Spoke to Beatrice and immediately was at ease. She was so nice and informed me of everything you would hope a company would tell you even the "hidden" fees as you would say. Which they didn't have any. They were Very honest.

We had an apartment set to move and the date then we lost the first place due to someone not wanting to leave and had to "settle" for another one. This pushed our move up 2 weeks, I called Beatrice freaking out nearly crying worried we would have to pay an extra fee because we had moved up our move, She told me not to worry they would work it out. She put me on hold for a few moments got on the line and assured me they could have 3 guys for me on the day and it WOULD NOT COST EXTRA!! What!?

The moving day came and we had 3 guys Christian, Christo, and Jaime. Let me tell you these poor guys had stairs everywhere. Not one complaint out of there mouth! They smiled and were even joking with me throughout the process. They were all very nice and moved fast! We had them for 4 hours and I knew it would be longer we had a ton of stuff and Heavy stuff at that. All in all it took about 7 hours and it costs us under $700. Honestly It was well beyond worth it! I can't imagine moving ourselves and united tranportation made the "MOVING" Part so easy and painless. Thank you so much. I am beyond grateful. Thank God m girlfriend found you guys I will so use you agan when we move next time and 1000% Recommend you! Thank you for Working with us and making the move easy.. You're the best!

So glad I choose this company! I was really stressed about moving from Van Nuys to San Diego on a budget. The owner was very friendly and understood my situation. He was able to get me a great deal. Not only did I receive a great deal, I got to do no heavy lifting or driving a huge truck by myself. They were able to all of my stuff on time and there was no damnages to my personal items. I would would highly recomend this company to people who are looking for great services and a deal.
