U Pack

Generally U Pack is a good option for your move. We used a 26 ft truck and used 15 ft (we estimated 14). The only disappointment was that the truck that was dropped off had no "pins" used to lock down the horizontal bars that keep the internal wall secure. That allowed the contents to move and that resulted in some furniture damage. We learned from ABF employees that almost no truck has pins - even though the written instructions describe that they are to be used. You need to insist that the driver who drops your truck provides these and shows you where they are. I gave an Unsatisfactory rating because they should do what they say they do. You will find similar comments on the internet about horizontal bar failures. My guess is that they will be mostly related to this missing pin.

Our experience with U-Pack was simply amazing. From the first telephone exchange in New Jersey to schedule my ReloCube drop off to the delivery and pick up in a remote area of Puerto Rico, everything was seamless! Their customer service is second to none in every step of the process. Our cube arrived earlier than expected, and they were able to deliver on a Saturday before a pending tropical storm. This gave us the time we needed to unload before the rain. Everything was in perfect condition when we opened up the cube. I would definitely recommend U-Pack for anyone moving, It was a great experience!

I recently moved from California to Texas. I researched every possible way of moving my 1 bedroom apartment, my two cats, varied houseplants, my car and myself to our new home. After reading horror stories about lost and broken items or moving companies who demanded more money before they delivered your belongings, I was pretty concerned.

I found U-Pack and saw wonderful reviews. I'm so so glad I chose them. The customer service reps and the guys who dropped off and picked up the relocation cube were friendly, helpful, and professional. I had to change my plans several times (different dates, switch from part of a big truck to a cube, etc) and they were always very accommodating. When they took the cube away, I felt confident that my belongings were safe and would reach me in Texas. When it arrived, the cube was locked securely, just the way I left it. Things shifted in transit but nothing was broken!! How amazing is that?

I will recommend these folks to EVERYONE I KNOW and will definitely use them when I move again.

I moved from Indiana to Georgia my pick up date for delivery was October 18 2024. It is now the 28 and still no trailer. I was told it was a flat rate of $2,211. I was charged $106 a foot for using more than11ft. of space which made my payment $3,483 they did know of $106. My mistake was not reading the contract live and learn. They never called me or texted me to let me know my trailer has been in there yard since the 22nd. I GPS their location they are literally 10 mn from my house. I would never recommend this service to anyone.

Nothing went wrong; everything went right with this move.

My first contact with U-Pack was a phone call to request information. I had already gotten quotes from two other moving companies, one of which was a "nickel and dime you to death" quote that was well over $4000. When Caroline answered the phone and explained how they operated, she gave me a quote, but I waited for a listing of additional charges. When there were no other numbers I asked her outright about delivery charges or mileage charges. Everything was included in that one charge. Specific address to address added a little more but the number she quoted was $2244. And, at the end of it all, that's exactly what we paid. This was for one ReloCube from Tucson, Arizona to Loveland, Ohio.

The delivery of the ReloCube in Tucson was scheduled for sometime between 8-Noon on a Wednesday. When it hadn't shown up at noon, I called the local number that had been given to me and received an apology and an explanation that it was being loaded onto the flatbed as we spoke and would be delivered soon. It arrived within 20 minutes.

The gentleman delivering the ReloCube was very efficient with the use of the forklift and the positioning of the "cube" in a parking space next to my son's car in the apartment complex parking lot.

We locked the cube then proceeded to load it over the next six days.

The videos and written packing/shipping instructions provided by U-Pack were super helpful. We also self ordered a dolly, bungee cords, and rope/clothesline to help secure everything into place. And, we bought two new locks, one for each door, for added security. We also used empty packing boxes, garbage bags full of empty plastic recyclable bottles and pillows/blankets to help cushion around items to minimize movement during transport.

We left the cube behind as we started the drive back to Ohio the night before the scheduled pick-up of the cube. The next day, I received a text that the cube was "on its way" and they gave me a range of dates when it would arrive in Ohio. We could track the cube as it traveled eastward.

In less than a week, I received a text asking me to schedule a delivery date the following week (there was a holiday to work around).

The local delivery driver was Gene. He called shortly before he was to deliver. Then, he placed the cube exactly as we requested, doors facing the garage to cut down on wind as we unloaded. I told him that we would have it unloaded in a couple of hours. He said that he would check in on our progress after his last delivery to see if we were ready for him to pick up the emptied cube. Turned out that he finished just as we were unloading the last items. He came back and picked up the container about 2 1/2 hours after drop-off.

This whole process couldn't have gone any more smoothly. And the people with whom we worked were like "friends", sharing stories and congratulations along with details of the packing and shipping process.

They accidentally sent my truck all the way from Salt Lake City, Utah back to Georgia instead to Nevada where it was supposed to go. So all my belongings crossed the country three times instead of once. No one updated me with any information, and when I called, they would transfer me between people over and over. It took me hours to find out what had happened and no one seemed very concerned or sorry. The drivers I met were professional and helpful, but the organization was awful, my stuff was lost, had more damage and wear and tear from crossing the entire country two extra times, and there was no communication or effort to make it right. I will never use U Pack again unfortunately.
