EXCELLENT SERVICE

It’s my first time using Safe Ship and was honestly impressed from the initial phone call, all the way through the moving process. The movers were on time, gave me texts updates of their arrival, and were very nice and easy to work with.. They got everything done so quickly and with highest level of attention and care.

Overall great experience!

Overall had a good experience. Booking was easy and fast. I needed movers at a fairly short notice and was worried I wouldn’t find anyone or it would be crazy expensive but it was a lot smoother of a process than I expected. My only complaint is I didn’t get a call telling me when the movers would be there until 10:30pm the day before the move so that was a little annoying. I was told they would call the day before, but expected it to be earlier than that. But the actual day of the move went great. The movers showed up around 1pm, packed everything up nicely, and got all my stuff to the new place and unloaded by 9pm. Overall, very happy I booked these movers and saved myself time and sanity!

Wish We'd Never Used Safe Ship Moving

We are working with Safe Ship as broker for daughter's interstate move from Texas to Virginia, and its been an absolute nightmare.

We had immediate delivery date of August 1 in estimate, and importance was repeatedly confirmed by the Safe Ship sales rep. Long story short - items picked up in Houston, Texas at noon on Saturday, July 27th, and as of late afternoon on Friday, August 2nd, they were still sitting in a warehouse a few miles away.

I have no idea if/when delivery will occur. All Safe Ship will says is that it should be there at some point point on or before August 13th. They have been shockingly ambivalent to our frustrations, unprofessional and unresponsive.

My daughter starts classes as first year med student this week. I've put her up in a hotel for the time being. I will probably have her buy sleeping bag and an air mattress in otherwise empty apartment, and some business casual close for beginning of school. When I raised these out-of-pocket expenses with Safe Ship, they were insultingly dismissive.

Terrible experience, and still not over. Cannot imagine why anyone would use Safe Ship, or how they stay in business. Wish we had done more diligence on front end, and used someone reputable.

DONT EVEN BOOK THEM. FIND SOMEONE ELSE. THIS IS A BROKER COMPANY. GO DIRECTLY TO A MOVING COMPANY AND BOOK THROUGH THEM. They will come upon here and defend themselves but honestly, trust me, please go with anyone else! Let them say what they want but the money trail we are about to lay out for you everything you need to know. They originally quoted us about $6000 for our move from Texas to Colorado, I chose them because they were the least expensive out of all of the companies but that was my mistake. They did it by “cubic feet”.

After the quality assurance call we were increased to $13000. Because APPARENTLY our cubic feet needs went from 700 to 1500 cubic feet. WHO THE HEK HAS THAT MUCH MONEY LAYING AROUND FOR A MOVE? I was sobbing so much every day. My husband and I were extremely stressed out, we were losing our hair! How are we able to come up with that much money and WE CANT CHARGE IT. 4 DAYS before our move and we had NO time to find another company and they had required us to put down a non refundable $5900 deposit. They contract the move out to some random companies that are all monopolized by Russians. YOU CAN ONLY PAY WITH DEBIT CARD. DELIVERY is CASH. If you want to go with them, accurate count of everything BEFORE YOU PACK UP AND MOVE because not only will they screw you, they will screw you several times. Because after that $13000 jump increase we were not able to buy ANYTHING ANYMORE and on top of that, after the guys loaded everything into our truck they had to increase it to $15000 because our things filled up the truck (Perfectly Fast Moving Co). After this fiasco, I called other moving companies and I found out it probably would have been cheaper to be charged the whole entire truck instead VS just PER CUBIC feet. WE FEEL SO CHEATED. BAIT AND SWITCH COMPANY 100%. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS COMPANY IS THEIR SWEET CUSTOMER SERVICE, I CRIED SO MANY TIMES TO THEM BECAUSE WHO THE HELL HAS $8000 OUT OF THEIR POCKET TO PAY THESE PEOPLE?? I hope the people and owners of this company have karma come back to them because they screwed my little family. ALSO SOME OF OUR STUFF IS BROKEN & THEY DAMAGED MY NEW WALLS.

I would recommend these guys to others. They showed up on time and got right to work. They were very quick with the process while also making sure to take the extra time to properly wrapped all my items with both blankets and plastic. Good moving company

When they picked up, there was clear evidence of miscommunication between what we thought we were paying for and how they ended up charging. We did end up paying, I would say, substantially more. But maybe that is just how the cost of services were initially communicated.

However, the people we dealt with both with management and with the actual movers were polite and did a great job with our belongings. I would still give a good recommendation to others considering using their services. We were very happy with the delivery and their professionalism.

Terrible experience

Words cannot begin to describe the disappointment I have with this company. It was a disaster from start to finish. I was originally quoted $12,000 for the move over the phone, and on the day of, I was told $23,000. What are you supposed to do when half of your items are already on the truck?! It was very frustrating. By way of background, no one at Safe Ship explained to me that they were using subcontractors. Also, they told me I could pay with credit card. I did upon initial deposit and at pick-up. Upon delivery, I get a call late afternoon Sunday that they were coming with my stuff the next morning at 9am, and I needed $8k cash. It was infuriating.

As for the quality of their subcontractor, the packers did not label any of the boxes, so it was total chaos when the boxes arrived because it was impossible to tell what went where. At the end of packing, the driver literally made me write a positive review on BBB for Safe Ship. He told me what to write and even typed part himself. I felt so uncomfortable. He then said that my items would be arriving by the following Thursday (one week from pickup). They showed up two and half weeks later. Of course, they demanded payment in full in cash before unloading, but what they did not tell me is that half my items were not there and would be coming by separate delivery. The next delivery did not take place until almost a full month after pickup! Mind you, I moved two bedrooms, a living room, dining room and study. After the first delivery, I had one bedroom with no footboard or mattress, one bedroom entirely missing and no dining room table or hutch. Living a whole month without these things after paying $23,000 felt like highway robbery. Also, for both deliveries, the driver hired guys off Crgslist, which made me feel super uncomfortable, as they had no background checks or qualifications for moving expensive furniture, nor were they likely insured. As for the second delivery, he said he would arrive next day at 9am. 11am, I texted him, and he said he would be there shortly. He did not show up until almost 7pm, demanded full payment again (despite having already paid), and he had no help until one guy from Crgslist showed up 30 minutes later. Tons of damage to furniture, missing pieces, including original artwork done by my deceased mother. Stay far away from this company! When I reported all of this to them, they just kept saying they were the middle-man and not responsible. I did not hire their subcontrator; they did! I wanted to deal with the company that sold me their services and that I had been able to research; not strangers!

Expensive, unapologetic, substandard, lack of accountability

Unprofessional, Disrespectful, Borderline scam, Extremely expensive for substandard service. Lack of promised support and communication for military as was promised.

The sales pitch is understandable and straight forward. A little expensive but I am paying white glove, so proceed. I set up my move more than a month prior so relatively radio silent.

The week prior they confirm date range and review inventory determining that cost of the move is now 2k more... So i decide to leave some things behind but still roughly 10 k now in cost. 24 hrs prior they confirm address and movers are dispatched and i am given a time and date. However, noone comes, no calls and i cant get a hold of customer service for hours. Turns out they sent them to NC while i am waiting in TN on a specific timeline now that was confirmed 24 hrs prior. They refuse to give deposit back or offer any compensation when they dispatch an inexperienced crew (promised experienced) to a different state outside of the date window. I could have packed my small stuff myself and abandoned my large items for less grief and mental stress. I am out 5k for the deposit, so I am committed to the sinking ship.

I finally get pickup scheduled outside of dates window and 2 hrs after the NEW promised time window of the day. Customer service does not answer or call back or leaves on hold for over an hour. On day of the move my crew had no packing or padding materials materials and was 2 of the 4 men promised. The specialty boxes for paintings mirrors, wardrobe or lamps were not there despite the high cost of deposit of the itemized list. The movers have a verbal argument for most of the move and then they get in a fight with 2 other movers that were dispatched to help them so they left. Customer service yet again does not pickup or answer or check in on me during this ordeal. This is despite a confirmed direct line with a verbal promise that she would be available should anything go wrong during the moving day. My glassware is broken immediately. Glass pictures just placed loosely together in a box. I paid for a white glove and had to step in and help pack. It was chaos, they did not know how to organize boxes, left things that were supposed to be packed. Packed things that were supposed to be left (and told to leave them).Chaos. They left glass and trash strewn about the front of my house and the stoop for me to deal with afterwards.

Customer service continues to be unapologetic and at times defensive. For the most part they simply do not call or check in on you at all. They have your money and expect you to now communicate with the movers despite prior instruction. I paid 5k dollar deposit on a 10k service that was not rendered nor delivered. They hang up on me, do not call me back, and gaslight me as if I was supposed to have organized the "experienced" movers or packed things differently.

I am awaiting drop off now and hoping for minimal damage, but considering I watched boxes be dropped and kicked and items broken, my hopes are not high. They have told me that they are my strong advocate, I am hoping for them to pull through because it is 0% right now.

Compensation so far was 300$ off the pickup for being an entire day outside a confirmed time window under 24 hrs. Hoping for a big improvement and money back in the next week with pending meetings with management.

I cannot believe this is a recommended company. Veteran-run company with a promise to look after active service member? The work done at this company is nothing to be proud of so far.

I would love to amend this review if someone would please reach out and we can get some answers and real customer service and compensation back my way. This has been abysmal.

They didn’t mark the boxes of what was in the box, so on delivery you end up with a pile of unmarked boxes. They give no indication of what was inside or where it goes. A disaster!!!!! What should be quick and efficient process became a laborious and a weeks long effort. They said they aren’t required to mark the boxes. REAL moving companies do!!!

Our experience with Safe Ship was nothing short of a nightmare

We are utterly disappointed and disgusted by the appalling service provided by Safe Ship Moving Services. Two weeks have passed since I sent a detailed email outlining the traumatic experience my family endured during our cross-country move, and yet, we have not received a single response from the company. It's evident that they couldn't care less about their customers, and their disregard for our concerns is beyond infuriating.

From start to finish, our experience with Safe Ship was nothing short of a nightmare. We were promised professionalism and reliability, but what we got was the complete opposite. The misrepresentation during booking, the unprofessional behavior of the moving crew, the false promises, delayed delivery, and the damage to our belongings—all of it has left us feeling robbed and betrayed.

What adds insult to injury is the lack of accountability and responsiveness from Safe Ship. Despite reaching out to them in hopes of resolving the matter, they have chosen to ignore our pleas for help. It's as if they think they can get away with scamming their customers and leaving them to deal with the aftermath alone.

I cannot emphasize enough how frustrated and helpless we feel as victims of this scam. Safe Ship Moving Services has shown their true colors, and it's clear that they prioritize their profits over the well-being of their customers. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all costs. They do not deserve your business.

Fast and professional

You never realize how much stuff you have until it's time to move! My apartment was a bit of a mess when the movers arrived but they where helpful, quick, and efficient. They clearly communicated their fees upon assessing the volume of stuff I needed to move, along with the additional costs associated with stairs/long walks from truck to apartment.

I was originally estimated ~$2000 but the total came to ~$3000. This was explained in detail , which again, was from stairs, more volume than I expected, and the long walks. Be a as precise as you can with your situation for an accurate estimate!

When things were settled, All of the large furniture were carefully covered in blankets and swifty moved to the van. And they were accomodsting with some last minute panic packing and disassembly.

From then on, it was time to drive across Texas, and they made a beeline for the destination. They were able to arrive just as fast in their large truck as my compact car!

Absolute Worse

Ive moved across the country 4 times, its stressful. Its even worse when you accidentally hire a shit hole company that screws you over at every turn.

They doubled the price - i had to pay an additional $7k on top of the $6k i had already given them. There were four guys that came to pack and move my furniture. None could speak well enough English and they ended up leaving so many of my items behind, i had to ask neighbors to ship my remaining things. “Perfectly Fine Moving” was the name of the idiots they sent. Some Russian guy who was a complete dick.

ZERO COMMUNICATION on what time the move was happening prior to. I had to call them and email them for 3 days to get a response. I feel like every person there just flat out lies about everything.

I went through the list of my items TWICE. The first time was with this guy named Dustin & the second time with Tim. Then the Russian guy gets to my house and says all the things i have on my list “aren’t on his” so they charge me extra, SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS EXTRA. Mind you, I’m LEAVING to move right then.

They said they were going to be at my house at 11:00 AM to move & unpack. They showed up at 5:30 with ONE PERSON to help them move me. So on top of having to pay all that extra money I also had to UNLOAD my own stuff.

They left all of their garbage here for-me to clean up AND didn’t set anything up but the beds.

Soo many broken items… a 1920s antique desk of my grandmothers, ruined. My coffee maker, ruined. I’m sure there’s more, I’m still unpacking.

And what kind of company doesn’t take CREDIT CARDS???? Venmo or Cashiers check and they charged me 3.5% in Venmo.

These guys are the WORST I’ve even encountered. Don’t use this company!!!!

Terrible Experience

I had a terrible experience with Safe Ship Moving Services Company. The movers were unprofessional and careless with my belongings, leading to several damaged items. Communication was poor, and they were late on the moving day, causing unnecessary stress. The final cost was also much higher than the initial estimate, with hidden fees that were never mentioned upfront. I do not recommend Safe Ship Moving Services to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy movers. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company.

Frustrating and Unreliable

My experience with Safe Ship Moving Services on July 15th was incredibly disappointing. The movers showed up hours later than scheduled, causing a major disruption to my day. Once they arrived, they seemed rushed and unfocused, leading to careless handling of my belongings. Several boxes were improperly packed, resulting in damaged items, including a cherished piece of artwork. Communication with their customer service was equally frustrating; I struggled to get a response to my concerns about the damage. This lack of professionalism and accountability left me feeling frustrated and let down. I would not recommend Safe Ship Moving Services to anyone looking for a reliable moving company.

Terrible Experience

I recently hired Safe Ship Moving Services for a move, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. First, the movers arrived hours late without any communication, leaving us anxiously waiting and causing a huge delay in our plans. When they finally arrived, their attitude was dismissive, and they handled our belongings with no care whatsoever. Several of our boxes were damaged, and worse, some items were missing when we unpacked!

Safe Ship Moving Services

SafeShip will try to seem friendly on the initial inquiry, but once you pay your deposit, they do not respond to your calls. They also are very loose with their ETA times. I was misled, and I feel as though I wasted my money. I booked them for a Aug 29 delivery with a 1-10 day window, and it was not met. Not only did they not abide by the window but they refused to give me any update, unless I called the,. DO NOT BOOK THEM. Kevin Rogel proved to be a vague broker as well. Beware of his sales pitch.

Perfectly fast moving company

Rudy, Carlos and Ilia were the sweetest and most helpful movers I have ever had the pleasure of conducting business with. Even when we hit a bump in the road and I got emotional they were very patient with me and worked with me to resolve the issue. They were even helpful and sweet enough to help me pack my car and take out the trash which they didn’t have to do.

The guys from perfectly fast moving, Rudy and Ilia were fast, on time and had no issue moving all my stuff from my apartment to my house. Delivery was fast and they were very helpful and professional by communicating with me where they are at (location) and how many hours they are away from my new location to drop my stuff off. Would recommend 100%

DO NOT USE

Terrible moving company and terrible customer service. They are a third party moving company that hires shitty companies to move your stuff. Our stuff was loaded nicely in a truck in front of us during pick up. We were told we would get a call 24 hours ahead of time letting us know time of delivery. We never recieved that call, we had to call them multiple times to get and update and we wouldn’t get a straight answer. We were also told that the delivery would be anywhere between 2-12 days they showed up on the 16th day. A different truck shows up at drop off (mind you we weren’t informed that a different truck will be dropping our stuff off). They demanded the rest of the money first before they even opened the truck to show us that all of the stuff was ours. When they finally open the truck up my husband and I were horrified by the way our stuff was packed. Our totes holding fragile things were upside down or sideways. Our mattress was black. Our brand new 75 inch TV screen was completely shattered. We had stuff missing and when we called to complain we never got a call back. The customer service woman was horrible. She was cursing my husband out saying he sounded like a “woman” for complaining and hung up on him multiple times. They were charging up an extra $500 at drop off that they over calculated and thankfully my husband caught and we were able to get the money back. Just all in all a terrible company that has no care for your valuable belongings. And don’t respect their customers at all.

Terrible company, will try to scam you out of more money.

Not a real moving company, they are a broker that contracts with the lowest bidder. Was given an initial estimate and told they would meet any competitors price, so when I got a lower price they agreed to it. They also claim to be veteran owned and operated, since I’m a veteran myself I chose to go with them. About 2 weeks before my move I asked for the date to be moved up, they said they would take care of it, day before the move I called and found out they never changed the date. But they claimed to be doing me a favor by getting a crew to be there the next day. However, then they said the original estimate was wrong and wanted $5k more, I had no choice since the move was supposed to be the next day, however after arguing my point with them they did come down some, but I’m still ending up paying $2k more than expected. Movers was supposed to be at my house between 12 and 6, they didn’t show up until nearly 8 and only 2 guys, and he tried to say I was going to have to pay more, I refused due to the already debacle we had. Now today, the same 2 guys arrived 2 hours late, still no big crew like I’ve been told would be here, I have little confidence they will get the job done today and I’m supposed to close on the sale tomorrow. This company is a total shakedown and should be ashamed of using veterans as a way to scam money. It’s ending up costing just as much as a real moving company such as Mayflower, stay away from this terrible lying scamming company and go with the professionals. Hopefully I actually get everything moved in 1 piece but I honestly have no confidence and no other options. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!

First Time with Safe Ship (TX to CA)

I was able to meet with Rudy and Alejandro with Perfectly Fast Moving Company through Safe Ship. The two were very professional, fast, and communicative. Rudy made sure the keep in contact with me for when they were arriving, arrived on time and within the time frame I suggested. The two did a great job of packing all of my belongings and explaining it all to me very well. I would gladly let them handle my moves for me again in the future.

Also, this was my first time using Safe Ship and I absolutely enjoyed my experience with them. Everyone that I encountered was very kind and professional. Safe Ship made my move from TX to CA very simple, easy, and stress free. All for a great price too!
