I gave them a check for $700.00. I worked with them for 4 months coordinating my life. I told them I was flying in and out and had to have a definitive date I could depend on. Over and over I asked to ensure there would be no issues. I was not given any contact information to call the movers. The office is closed over the weekend with no emergency contact number. I was left stranded no phone no movers showed up. No it wasn't the weather. I got no call to make sure everything went well. I tried to call first thing the Monday after and no answer. I sent an email, no answer. I tried Monday afternoon and got through. Was told they would call me right back. I got no call. I called again on Tuesday and Nicole started with an attitude. Was told they have not heard back from their movers. And when I asked about who was going to reimburse me for 2 days of work $500 for airline tickets, 3 nights in a hotel and a rental car. Not to mention my $700 deposit, I was told they never guaranteed the dates they were only tentative dates. Now, I had asked at least 10 times over 4 months about the dates being locked in and was told yes every time. Now, I am out $1700 and my belongings have still not been picked up and Moving Central inc will not call me. They tell me that because I could not make arrangements to fly back 5 days later the contract is voided. I am out over $2500.00 and because I paid by check I cannot have my credit card company reimburse me for services not received.

I just cancelled my move with Moving Central LLC, forfeiting my $1,200 deposit. They promised a full service direct move with a dedicated truck to get a signed contract, and the day before my move "can't understand why the sales team would do that" and claim it will be a standard move on the transit system taking up to the allowed 21 days. At which point I was offered expedited delivery service for another additional charge. A fully disagreeable logistics team and unprofessional customer service and sales.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1200

Justin sold me the contract initially. I specifically called him out and asked if it went on a truck with other orders and would take a few weeks to get. He bold face lied and said I will have my own dedicated vehicle and will receive my belongings same day or the next day at the latest. Fast-forward I was supposed to be given a moving time the day before. I contacted them 3x and each time was told "they don't know". Finally they said "we will wake you up in the morning if we have to." Super unprofessional. Then they finally said late afternoon when they called me day of and I asked if I mean that I would receive my belongings the following day and was told no that they would go sit in a warehouse and it would probably be a truck and they do not have dedicated trucks and will take a month to get potentially. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me I was a liar that was ever told to me. I told her to pull the call and that Justin is a slimy salesman and bait and switched me but the manager told me I was SOL and it was too late to cancel day of then she hung up on me. They asked for my routing and accounting number initially which set red flags off. I was going to walk on the deal but Justin said he would "eat the cost" of using a debit card instead. Luckily I did not provide them the account info,so I immediately cancelled my card and called the bank and reported their deposit as fraud so I can get that back too since they are running a fraudulent business. I hired a reputable and honest company instead so after reading reviews on here that they do this to a LOT of people I called back and said I saw the reviews, cancelled my card, reported their deposit as fraud, and hired another company so don't send anyone because you aren't getting shit from me. Then they hung up on me and it was a day! So long story short. Save yourself a headache and don't listen to Justin's little dick energy sales pitch nor let the manager bully you into bullshit and just go find an HONEST, REPUTABLE company with integrity!!!! :)

If you are looking to have your items moved safely and on time do not use this company. This has been the worst experience for me. My stuff was picked up in January and I have yet to receive any of it.

The staff is extremely unprofessional they have hung up the phone on me on numerous occasions. The owner Eli made extremely disrespectful comments as well. There are not enough words to describe what a horrific experience I have had with this company.

I am still waiting on my items and continue to be ignored and lied to in the process.

I used them on February 12th after being given a rate of $1754 placing a deposit and movers came with a completely different estimate and i was told they would not store my things in storage in georgia as I was promised. I was charged $1000 more. Once i called Spence back who i booked them through on moving central he hung up on me and would not answer my calls. I tried to call the main number numerous times no answer. DO NOT USE THEM!! The are a broker and just want your money so they will tell you anything. Save yourself the headache.

Would give zero stars - Initially provided the information for a move from the West coast

To the East coast. The Quality check increased the amount. Move pick up scheduled for 2/26 and got a call in 2/25 they were picking up on 2/25 in the afternoon no call and no one showed up. Friday finally someone responds and they changed to 2/28 - putting us behind schedule and they didn’t show up on 2/28 very un reliable and lacking communication. Disregard for customer commitments and the need to move timely. Refund requested and they said I was refusing service when the call stated they would try to get a truck 3/1 or maybe 3/2 and the house has to be vacated by 2/28. Will refuse to refund because verbal and written cancellation occurred after 48 hours and of course there was no service nor accountability on their part. My move date turned for them into a maybe disregarding needs and pocketing 3546 deposit and 1200 from the quality check increase.

I will accept some responsibility for the poor outcome I had; I did not do my due diligence. This company is not a moving company, they are a broker. I felt under pressure to move my items, and I let the sales rep push me into the contract. The Welcome Letter indicates someone would call me a few days prior to my move. I did not receive a call. I left a message but did not get a call back. The day of my move came without any contact from the company or any movers. No call no show. After reading some more reviews, I took a loss and hired a truck to make the move myself. The companies response to me canceling was that I could reschedule my move any time within the next year. They didn’t seem to care that I wasn’t satisfied

I would suggest not using this company!

Don't believe anything the agent says, read your contract completely. They will tell you they will negotiate the price - they will not.

They might tell you we will let you cancel until x date to get you to sign if you are unsure - they will not.

Finally after taking your money they will say the move is handled by a third party company so take your problems up with them, and while they just keep your deposit.

The third party company will try to get you to pay even more than the agreed upon price.

My mover tried to negotiate more money "in case I have more items" before pickup, I said no as I knew I had less items than the allotted amount. Then, he didn't show up for the pickup, asked me to reschedule with the office and the office stopped responding to my calls. Also their insurance expired in 2020 (my move is on 2021) which I found out about when my new building asked for their insurance.

They are frauds, don't waste your money unless you want to lose it.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2900

This company is a broker, not the movers. Read the contract carefully. For me, their salesman told me they will be the movers. They own the trucks and their employees will be responsible for shipping. On the day of shipping, some other company showed up. Later I found that the moving company had terrible reviews. I had to file a complaint with BBB to get them to deliver my items. In the meantime, Moving Central basically told me they are not responsible for delivering the item.

These people are the worst scammers in the industry. Run, don't walk away. They lie, cheat, and are rude.( that's you Ben and Jonah.) Once they get your deposit - which they hustle like the sleaziest of used car salesmen, just try to get any straight answers. They never tell you that they will broker your job out to the only company that actually has worse reviews than them. When you complain - Ashley says "she's never heard of this thing happening.".....Honestly, I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror.

Don't want to give even a 1 star. They should be out of business.

I had a move scheduled from Minnesota to Oregon for 6\29\2021

I was supposed to get a call a few weeks before hand to get a full inventory list, that never happened. I called them to make sure they'd arrive on the scheduled day. I was told yes. Well the day came and went, no one showed up. Anytime I'd call they say "we dont have that information in this department but I'll get it and call you back" they never called me back. Now it's the day after, I'm supposed to get on a plane to Portland and I cant get a hold of anyone at moving central.

These people will constantly move the date further and further back and when you finally get tired of their endless excuses and decide to go with someone else, they will REFUSE to give you back your deposit that they previously said was refundable! When you all got your money back due to their gross incompetence, they will COMPLETELY change the story and tell you that it was non-refundable all along (total lie)!

If you value your money and your time, you will NOT do business with these liars and thieves!

American National Moving/ Moving Central LLC

On 8/19/20 I spoke with Brian Akron, Moving Consultant. I provided him with an inventory list that I had used in my previous move. That inventory list contained approx. 6200 LBS. He originally quoted me a price of approx. $6600 which I told him was out of my budget and that I was continuing to get other quotes from additional movers. He asked what my price point was and I told him $4000. He then asked if he could get the estimate down to $4000 if I would use them. I agreed. I also asked him if American National Moving was a broker and he said that they would be handling the move personally. It would’t be passed on to another company. After discussing in detail my move I signed a contract and provided a deposit of $784.

On 8/26 I was contacted by David Smith to set up a call with their operations person to go over the details of my move. I was told Jonah would be contacting met at 12 pm MST. No one called and then at 12:52 MST Jonah tried calling me. We finally connected at 1:19 pm MST. Jonah instructed me to review the top portion of my contract which showed I would be using approx. 730 cu ft. In parentheses next to this was a weight of 4300 LBS. Almost 2000 LBS difference between my inventory list. I started to question this and Jonah became frustrated and condescending asking me why I was even bringing it up. I was trying to explain my concern in the difference in LBS and likely needing additional cubic feet and it costing more than originally quoted. He started telling me to be quiet and listen and not interrupt. He was extremely rude, unprofessional and threatening. I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. After I was allowed to speak I informed Jonah that 730 cu ft. would not be enough he said it would likely cost me double. I was so disgusted by the conversation that I decided to cancel my move.

Upon calling customer service to cancel my move I spoke with a representative who wanted to me to talk with the QA manager. I then talked to David Smith to whom I explained the situation. He asked if he could go over everything with me to keep the business and I agreed to give him the opportunity. We agreed to speak on Saturday 8/28 at 12 pm MST. David did not call. I called him 3 times between 12-1:20 pm MST when David informed me had an emergency. We then agreed to talk on Monday. David did not out and I had to track him down again. At this point I was extremely disgusted and disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of client service by the company that I no longer trusted them to move my household.

Upon finally connecting with David I explained the trust had been broken and I did not want to move forward with my move. I asked that an exception be made to refund my deposit as I believe the circumstances warranted an exception. He said he would have to talk to the owner of the company. I then contacted the finance department and explained the situation. She agreed that there was a large discrepancy between the original estimate and the amount of space I would likely need. She would still not refund my deposit. I tried to give them the opportunity to make it right but they declined. Therefore this is my old option to get my money back. The $784 means a lot more to me than it does them and I feel that I gave them the opportunity to right any wrongs and advanced notice of my cancellation that a refund will not cause them the financial strain it will me to lose $784.

Scheduled a move for a relative moving from Louisiana to Ohio. Part of the the issue with this business model is that they do not move your belongings. They hire another company and therefore have no accountability for what they originally quote you. Their estimate/quote was based on an inventory of every item that was moved, but when the company that actually did show up to do the move (PackRight), 2 days late, their estimate was 3 times as much. We have issues with how PackRight handled the move after they were hired as well (they are all shady), but that is for a different review. Long story short, Moving Central takes advantage of the process and the situation (the fact that most people don't do moves like this more than once or twice a lifetime). Their associates know what they are doing and should be ashamed of themselves. What goes around comes around.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND ENERGY WITH THIS COMPANY!! PLEASE FIND SOMEONE ELSE!! PERIOD.

WE SCHEDULED WITH THEM 1 MONTH AHEAD OF TIME!!

They NEVER kept scheduled dates as agreed upon (05/31 and 06/01). NO ONE called us "24 hours ahead of time" to confirm anything. Driver called us on 05/31 to make arrangements for delivery and when we asked him (JAMALL) if he'll be here on 06/01, he said that he was coming up from LA and running late and would be in Concord to help us on 06/01, and that he'll call us at 8AM on 06/01 to confirm. On 06/01, when we talked to him he said that he will be here on 06/02. He NEVER called us at all either on 06/01 or 06/02 at 8AM as he said that he would, and we had to get in touch with him instead. When we talked to him on 06/01, he said that he'll be here to help us on 06/02 between 9AM and 10AM. On 06/02, when we texted him at 8:15AM (since there was no call from him at all) and asked him when he'll be here, he said that he's in Oakland and that he'll be going to Fremont to help someone else and then he'll be in Concord between 2PM and 4PM on 06/02.

What kind of answer is that?!!! How can someone working in the moving business have such poor practices and have zero common sense in business to operate for as long as they have?!! We had to find someone ASAP to help us move out of State. We were told that Moving Central LLC WAS "FOUNDED" 9 MONTHS AGO AND THEY HAVE "F" FOR THE SERVICE RATINGS AND THAT THE COMPANY HAS A LOT OF COMPLAINTS AGAINST IT!!! How is this business not shut down for so many complaints and so many issues?!!

WE ARE $1,200 OUT OF MONEY BECAUSE WHEN WE CANCELLED WITH THEM AT 11AM WE WERE BEYOND "5 DAY WINDOW FOR CANCELLATIONS" AND THERE IS NO WAY TO GET THE MONEY BACK.

WHEN WE CANCELLED HE CALLED AT 11:25AM ON 06/02 AND SAID THAT HE WAS 10 MINUTES OUT AND THAT HE'LL BE THERE WITH 5 GUYS TO HELP US. DO YOU THINK THAT WE'LL BE GOING WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN FOR DOING THIS?!! NO ONE HAS UNLIMITED AMOUNT OF MONEY AND RESOURCES WHEN THEY'RE MOVING. NO ONE HAS MONEY TO WASTE. PERIOD.

THIS IS COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!! THEY'RE SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY AND THEY NEVER HELP!! CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT SAID THAT THEY ONLY HAVE 1 TRUCK AND THAT THEY ARE SWAMPED WITH REQUESTS TO MOVE. AT THE GOING RATE, WITH SO MANY ISSUES, AND SO MANY COMPLAINTS THIS COMPANY HAS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND NOT ALLOWED TO OPERATE AT ALL IN ANY STATE OF THE UNION!! HOW LONG WILL THIS CONTINUE AND HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS BEFORE SOMEONE WILL DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS COMPANY?!!
