I am hoping this review catches someone's eye, to learn from the mistakes I made. Please, for your sake, for your family's sake, do not book with this company. Like many people here. I have been swindled at every step of this process. The initial valuation, the price that was quoted to me was $3,300. I told by James Coleman, that if I switched my days they would be willing to do the move for $2,800. I agreed and booked the service. On the call done 3 days prior to the move, the new person Thomas Muzzio now quotes me the price of $3,600. I ask why there is almost a 1k difference. He tells me that it is because I added more thing; which I did, 4 gym bags and 2 back packs. When I asked him to go over the list with me, he was exasperated telling me that would mean going through every item on the list. I told him to email me the list and we will go through it together. After a painstaking process, we got down to $2900. I paid and the pick up day was set.

Fast forward and the movers arrive. The company was "Move-with-a-pro". With them came additional fees; $50 distance fee per person ($100 total), additional packing fees of $200. There is nothing I can do at this stage of the game so I pay it. I ask the movers, when he thinks it can be there, he tells me the following Monday. Too good to be true, and it was. Monday comes, and no one with "Move-with-a-pro" is picking up my phone call. So I call safe ship moving and speak to a representative named Xavier. He tells me that I signed for 1-10 business days and that he would send an "urgent" email and get back to me with an update.

I am writing this review on day 10. I called safe ship moving again as Xavier instructed me to do if I had not received my items in 10 business days. I got transferred to Xavier again, who is now telling me they have 30 days to bring my items. I ask him what the plan is as this is the second time now the plan has changed. He tells me he will send an "urgent" email. I told him to transfer me to a manager as he did nothing to help me for 9 business days. I speak to the manager who once again told me they will send an urgent email. I told him, that it is ridiculous that an email is the only way to reach the moving companies they hire and that I was able to reach the moving company not 10 minutes before I called safe ship moving customer service. As a side note, Move-with-a-pro told me "no one will deliver your things for $1,000", so maybe avoid them too. After I told the manager at safeship this, he finally called the moving company. Where it stands now, is that they will ship my things the following Monday, and to give 3-4 days after to get my things. God only knows if any of that is true and who knows what condition my belongings will arrive in if they arrive at all.

The bottom line is this. People at this company will blatantly lie to you multiple times. On top of this, there is no accountability and the people that this company hires are really terrible. If you, like me, have you hands full with family, starting a new job and multiple other stressors, this company is the absolute last thing you need to further complicate your life.

My experience with this company was great just had things picked up, now I have to receive my goods at the other end so hopefully the unpackers will be as professional efficient and get the job done as fast and friendly as the two gentlemen I had!

Word of advise if you have a positive attitude in this life things like moving, the company, the movers everything will be great, if you are looking for the negative don’t know what to tell you!

This wasn’t my first across country move and this company put the last movers to Shame!

So Yes I would use this company again!

Try them you just might like them!

I wish there was an option for zero stars. The price I put on this is from my original estimate, I’m not sure about the numbers it ended up being but it was definitely more than two times of what I was originally told it would be. When I first contacted safe ship moving everyone was great. Very kind and helpful. I got a quote (which ended up being much higher) and decided to book with them. When my items were picked up (by BOD and US) they arrived on time and were fast and efficient (thank you Eric). Im glad I waited til delivery to write a review because everything went downhill from there. They said it would take 2-12 days to arrive with my items and it ended up taking 14 days (not counting weekends). I had to keep calling to check and on Wednesday they said they would be here in 2-3 days. 3 days later I called to check and they said it would be another 2-3 days. I got a call the day after they told me that saying that they would be there that night (only an 8 hour warning. I was told they would let me know when they were 24 hours out). When the movers finally arrived they were slow and unprofessional, screaming and arguing with each other the whole time. They just threw everything in the apartment and didn’t put any of my furniture back together except for my bed, which when I moved it just a little bit, completely fell apart (it would have been dangerous if I had tried to lay on it first). I am still sleeping on the floor until I can figure out how to put my bed together and I most likely will have to hire someone to do it. The unwrapping of everything was left to me (even though many were wrapped in their blankets). Some of my items were damaged and some were missing. They also brought in 3 items that were not mine (one of which was a hospital bed, which would have been left here had I not unwrapped it). They charged me 400 more dollars than I was told I would have to pay at dropoff just a couple days before. I realized once they got here that it was different moving companies that had packed up my stuff vs. dropping it off (drop off was by Tust Moving). I wish I had done more research before I hired them. Overall I had an extremely horrible experience with this moving company (broker) and would not recommend them to even my worst enemy.

Every item was carefully wrapped and labeled, which gave us peace of mind while waiting for delivery. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly attitude made the stressful process of moving much easier. We’re confident our things are in good hands and look forward to a smooth delivery. Highly recommend their packing services so far!

I used Safe Ship Moving Services for a cross-state move from Charlotte to Nashville for my 2-bedroom place. The movers were polite, efficient, and very careful with my belongings. They handled the bigger items like my couch and dresser with no issues, and I didn’t have to worry about damage during the trip. Communication was clear the entire time, and they gave me updates as they were on the way. It felt like they genuinely cared about doing a good job, and I’d definitely call them again if I need to move.

I've moved over a dozen times in my life, and this was by far the best moving experience I've had, from the initial estimate, which was very thorough, through the final item being loaded to the truck. Service was top notch, both from the movers themselves and through everyone I dealt with throughout the process.

On the day of the move, the movers arrived early in the morning, which was unexpected, as I typically end up waiting around for movers to show up. Our moving crew showed up smiling, energetic, and eager to make us feel comfortable and help us get the move done quickly and efficiently.

I had a great experience with Cobra Van Lines. José Ruiz and his team were extremely polite, professional, and efficient throughout the entire move. They treated every piece of furniture with care, carefully wrapping items in blankets and even re-taping some of my less-than-perfect packing. I was especially impressed with how skillfully they maneuvered the large truck into some very tight spaces. I would gladly hire José and his team again in the future — highly recommended!

Getting the quote is easy they go with you item by item, for an accurate pricing no hidden fee, an top of that they explain the process until you feel satisfied.

The moving day the same our movers Vlad, Dima, Dima and Oleg the moving team, very professional. They packed what needs to be packed and always ask first for the moving of our belonging. Everything went as scheduled.

I had a great experience with SafeShip movers, just know that they are brokers, which is fine with me. Their customer service folks were so nice and made me feel comfortable about my move. In fact, they were so nice and helpful I thought I was being scammed. LOL. They answered all my questions and explained everything to me in great detail. The communication up to the time the local movers came was flawless. The local movers, Rushmore Van Lines, where just as caring and kind. This says a lot about the partners that SafeShip works with. Tony and Max from Rushmore were super pleasant. When I say they explained every little thing in detail, I am not exaggerating. I have dealt with movers before and I did not have as pleasant of an experience as I did with Rushmore. If I have friends making a local move within Los Angeles area I would definitely refer them. All in all so far, things are great. My items just left LA for NC so hopefully things will go smoothly during the trip, If not, I will be revising this review :).

Safe Ship Moving Services recently moved me from Tampa, FL to Dallas, TX, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The team was punctual, polite, and worked efficiently while still taking great care of my furniture and boxes.

The communication throughout the process was reassuring, they confirmed pickup and delivery times, kept me updated on the route, and everything arrived exactly as promised. Not a single item was damaged, which was a huge relief for a long distance move like this.

The pricing was competitive, and I appreciated that there were no surprise charges. For a 2 bedroom move, they made the entire process stress-free and straightforward. I highly recommend Safe Ship to anyone planning a move across state lines.

My experience for CA to CO move:

Started with a phone call I wish I never made. First call to get a quote, spent like an hour to get a quote and detailed everything in the move. Was quoted higher than any other movers I had already been quoted by. When I stated my ideal budget the service rep went “to go talk to the owner” which should’ve been the first red flag as this is an obvious tactic.

They then gave me a quote which was close to what I asked for. Turns out in order to give me this quote they intentionally massively under rated the volume of my belongings. After the cancelation period, they called again to get the actual volume via video call, then proceeded to raise the rate by 50%. I wish I had just charged back my credit card because this was a textbook bait and switch scam.

Fast forward to when the movers come, they again want to raise the price even though I took a lot of stuff out of my move from when I had the call. They said they wouldn’t raise the rate if I left them a positive review on this website. So I did as I was coerced, but as of this morning I removed it.

Fast forward again to delivery. One person showed up late on a Sunday evening. He was nice and apparently was supposed to have a second guy who didn’t show up. His dispatcher calls me to try to tell me I owe even more money than what I was supposed to pay on delivery and proceeded to argue with me. Entirely unprofessional. Following this, I proceeded to help the one delivery driver move everything into my apartment.

Part of the deal was they were supposed to pad and blanket wrap all of my furniture. Let’s talk about that.

Coffee table - damaged badly. Media console - damaged badly. 2 night stands - broken surface. Several dishes packed by movers - broken. They didn’t wrap my rugs, so after watching several LARGE spiders crawl out of other things, I just threw them away for fear of what would be living in them. Boxes that said fragile were crushed. Some boxes were wet and smelled like they had been sitting in water.

The cherry on top of all of this—discovering that they lost the legs to my desk. So now I have the top of a very expensive desk, with no legs. And of course you cannot buy replacement legs.

This company runs a scam operation and completely takes advantage of people and will add on thousands of dollars to provide an AWFUL service. Please do yourself a favor and use a different company. I would have been far better off renting a truck and moving myself.

My father passed away recently and we had to up and leave our home of 15 years and move across the country. I was so worried about getting all the house hold things packed and moved I almost forgot about my only vehicle! It was about 10:30 at night and I panicked, thankfully when I called Mr Jerry was working late and got everything set up and handled for me without a hassle. Would not recommend any other company and please ask for Jerry W! Thank you again for being so kind and patient with me during this hard time!!

Abdul and Evan arrived on time and did an amazing job packing my belongings with the greatest care. They were courteous, fast, conscientious, and never even stopped to take a break! I nagged them to take a few minutes to rest, but they refused—they were like packing machines! I really enjoyed them and was impressed by their incredible work ethic. They made what might have been a stressful event much more bearable for me, and I’m grateful to have had my furniture in their care.
