Bad company and experience. My wife hired them in May without doing her homework on reviews. She asked flat out if they were brokers and they lied to her and said no. They are brokers. For our move they hired another badly reviewed company SH Movers out of Hoboken, NJ. Very difficult to communicate with either company. You either get voice mail or someone totally useless. Our move happened a day later than promised and cost twice as much as the quote. Avoid at all costs. When the movers delivered our stuff two days later than quoted, they had transferred everything from the original truck to a different one. Several boxes were crushed, and two floor standing lamps broken. SH never returned my email or call. Hey, they already had our money.

This was the worst experience. I worked with Michael who was very persistent in beating anyone's price to get our business. We were supposed to have a direct 26' truck for a 1500 mile move. Once the movers finally arrived several days late, I was told it was not direct, Michael was no where to be found and the main number took a message (two different times) with no return call. Once I got the move straightened out with the actual truck company, he made me pay 75% in cash or venmo(I had to pay his processing fee), which is more then the contract stated in order for him to leave with the already loaded truck. His driver (one guy only) then drove straight through by what he told me. He was at my new home early then planned, which was great but I was not yet there. When I arrived, he said I had to pay him in full before he unloaded. There was only one guy there to unload a 26' truck and he could not find help. He told me they hire their help from locals off Craigslist! I asked him to unloaded the truck in the morning as it was late and dark, but his boss said no as he had to get the truck back.. He finally got one helper at 9pm. They finished unloading after 1am. My contract included putting the furniture and desk back together. The driver told be he was too tired and left. Because I had to pay in full before they unloaded the truck I have no recourse. I have damaged furniture and furniture unassembled. The company, Michael and truck company will not return my calls and are nowhere to be found. AVOID THIS COMPANY

I scheduled this moving company for a long distance move and they cancelled on me the day before because they said they did not service the area I was moving to (ND). I gave them the area I was moving to in the beginning and there was no mention that this would be an issue. I am dumbfounded that they would accept over $900 as a security deposit and then tell me they cannot move me the day before the scheduled move. The deposit was refunded but now I have no movers and am under time constraints to get to my next job.

This company contracted a mover that showed up in a small U-Haul. After loading most of our stuff, the mover, without measuring anything, tries to claim that there is more being moved than there actually is and wants to charge ~$8,600 for a cross country move when the initial quoted price was around $4800 based on square footage of stuff being moved. He wants this paid in cash and doesn't provide any documentation/contract to sign. When I confront him and offer to measure everything, he starts to tell me that "You can't just measure the dimensions of boxes." He makes a claim that objects that can't be stacked have to be measured all the way to the roof of the truck. He says I can take the price offered or they can unload the truck, and I'll have to find a mover last minute which will be very difficult. I tell the guy to unload all my stuff and then they tell me they can only unload my stuff in the street. I tell them to unload anyway and they begin to try and haggle with me to lower the price by $200. At this point, I'm done with the assholes and tell them I want my stuff out off the truck. The guy then tells me that they will lose money if they do a cross country move for less than $7,000 and they can't go lower than that. Why accept a contract if you won't do it for that price?

They rudely drop our stuff causing damage while unloading and refuse to bring it inside. When I called Fidelity Van Lines telling them about what happened, they refused to refund the deposit since I didn't let the movers take my stuff. They claimed that breached the contract. They avoid phone calls and are very difficult to get in touch with. If you have had issues with this company, don't let them off the hook for scamming people out of money. File complaints here:

On May 24th 2021 I hire the services of fidelity Vanlines to move my household goods from California to Atlantic City, NJ. I am a federal employee that is being transfer to another agency, reason why these services were required. The representative of this company used deceiving practices to obtain a deposit and try to get away with retaining my money. First, he said that I should use a bank account to avoid extra fees. While he is correct about the fees, this will also make it very difficult in the event the service was not provided and now I have to explain to the bank and hopefully get my money from this company. This is exactly what happened, one day prior to the scheduled pick up, he cancels the order. I had one day to rent a U-Haul truck, rent a storage area, and load all my household goods and take them to a storage, causing me time, effort, and money. Throughout the whole process since the day that I hire this company and representative reassure me that they were going to perform the services for which he collected a deposit from my credit card company. My last conversation with this person was on Friday 25th, after I told him that one of his associates told me that my order was cancel. During our conversation on that Friday, he said that he would call me the next day (Saturday) to give me an update. He never called, I called him numerous time on Monday 28th, the day of the pick up and he never answer the phone, or responded to any of my emails. These people are giving a bad name to the moving industry and should be heavily sanction for their fraudulent and deceiving practices.

I wish I'd read the reviews before I scheduled my move with Fidelity.

Like others on here, I scheduled a cross-country move, paid my deposit. The movers seemed friendly and professional on the phone. They showed up on time on my move date and started loading up the truck. Once half my furniture was on the truck, they informed me that the move would actually cost *double* what they had originally estimated. When I refused to pay the price, which was not what we had agreed upon, they dumped my furniture in my driveway and drove off with the deposit. They have been ignoring my calls asking them to please return the deposit. I am not only shocked that a company like Fidelity would contract with such unprofessional movers but also angry that they are unwilling to follow up with the movers regarding this incident and help me recover my $900 deposit.

They give you a great price over the phone then Michael the Coordinator goes over your contents volume and more than doubles the price you balk and they send “John” in long distance moves outs within hours to lie and save the deal. Then they broker your move to a shyster that shows up from another company and they re pack and stage half your contents and then he gives you a song and dance and raised the move to triple of the first estimate so now your at 35k. You argue with him about his calculations of cubic feet in the van which he is totally wrong about and now that they have you in a vulnerable position as we are 76 years old and cannot do this ourselves we are forced to pay 29k instead of the original 13k. Now the kicker. They scratched our wood flooring which intern we have to pay to have refinished for the buyers we get one call that John in long-distance answers because he didn’t recognize my number he states that he will get it all handled he will call me give me the moving companies information the driver all that stuff, never heard from again I’ve left messages every day I’ve text I’ve called corporate I get nothing from them and to this day right now we still do not have our furniture or our lifelong belongings which they said would be here 5 days ago. We hauled tail across the United States to be here by their date and nothing. I will probably never get my lifelong belongings and memories and they have the 7500$ deposit and the mover has 12k the said they had to collect at loading and then pay cash or money order of the balance to the delivery person. Run away don’t walk.

Save yourself a ton of aggravation and find a reputable moving company.

Worst experience of my life in dealing with any company. Cost was 3 times the estimate but to be fair, the load was based on cubic feet and we had more than the the original estimate but when the truck arrived, my calculated number based on truck size and how full it was came far short of what they charged. They would not give a delivery date which ended up to be 18 days. Called the wrong number to notify us when they arrived.

They didn't return phone calls.

This company seems to have good reviews on the east coast, but I would not recommend them if moving to anywhere from California. Also, be aware from the beginning that Fidelity is a broker and you will be dealing with several sub-contractors after they set you up and get your initial payment. On June 5th, I was informed that the movers would not be coming because their truck broke down, so they would have to come the next day. They gave me a window of 11am-1pm. At 3pm, I texted and asked when they would be coming. They finally showed up at 5:30 pm, in a Uhaul truck, which made me uneasy. It was totally chaotic - Armin started the inventory and claimed I had more stuff (I might have had a couple more boxes, but the furniture was right on), so he re-worked my estimate for several hundred dollars (nearly $1,000) more than the original. I could not afford it, so I started taking things off. And there was a woman with them named Hannah who was frenetic, excitedly talking non-stop, marking my boxes...she bought a beautiful piece of furniture in perfect condition from me (that I had to take off original inventory because of the expense), then tried to drag it out of the house by herself, breaking one of the legs. After the truck was loaded, Armin presented me with an inventory, written on a piece of paper torn out of a notebook, which I had to sign(after which my original contract disappeared from the system-luckily I had saved it for comparison). I looked at the way my things were loaded in the truck and was very distressed, but decided to just pray it would all turn out alright. After 6 weeks of anxiety, many unanswered phone calls and messages, and finally threatening to report my property to the Pasadena Police Department as stolen, it was finally delivered on July 16th. Let me reiterate, it was picked up in Pasadena on June 6th. There was a very nice women named Barbara who is their main customer service person and I spoke to her about 3or4 times during the 6 week period (the last two after my threat), but she could never tell me where my stuff was or give me an anticipated date of when I would get it. I was only told, "The next time they have another load going to Colorado". This is unacceptable as a practice. So, besides Barbara, the only bright lights in this entire experience were Christian and his brother (Efraim?) who finally delivered my belongings. They had truck problems, too, and we lost some communication (not their fault), but were very sweet and did a terrific job once they finally got to our house and unloaded. It should be mentioned that there were also items marked for me that were not mine on the truck (I hope they found the owner) and that two of my items were significantly damaged, even though I was promised everything would be wrapped in blankets or bubble wrap. They do not have the supplies necessary to do that, so make sure all your furniture is protected before you send it out with them. Michael's (the broker) last words to me when I committed were, "We're going to take good care of you...". That did not end up being my experience, unfortunately. I'm being generous with two stars, really.

Fidelity Van Lines is Fraudulent and will Scam you so be very wary if you use them to BROKER your move. They are only responsive until they receive your deposit. The mover they hired for me was also a scam mover and I was not given a choice of movers, however, once I found out who, I would not let them load my items. At this point Fidelity was non-communicative and refused to refund my deposit. My story is very much the same as many other complaints on here - same tactics - lowballed the quote; movers, when they finally did call me with less than a days notice to confirm move date, wanted to charge me double what Fidelity quoted, etc. I've made my complaints to the property authorities and anyone scammed by Fidelity, I would advise you to reach out to ALL appropriate local/state/federal authorities with your complaints and evidence. Until you do, nothing will be done about them and more will continue to be scammed. Also -- they claim in their contract that they are part of an arbitration program, they are not. They are also not part of some of the bigger moving organizations that most professional movers are. They have no arbitration or mediation - you can sue them outright. Be wary of the 5 star reviews, most are paid for and not real.

Fidelity Van Lines managed to squeeze me in last minute and work within the timing constraints my condo building had put in place. The entire process with Fidelity Van Lines from start to finish was smooth, easy, and professional. It was a competitive price, and my movers were on time and extremely friendly. They took excellent care of my furniture and belongings during the move. Everything was taped and wrapped up in blankets. I would strongly recommend them! Nothing was ruined in the move, and they were highly efficient too.

From the beginning of the virtual survey to the last bed being put together at our new location, our entire moving process with Fidelity Van Lines was outstanding. Every person we dealt with was top-notch. Our coordinator and was in touch with us every step. He answered every question we had. Our driver, was fantastic to work with and couldn't have been more personable and professional. Every packer/mover/loader we had with us throughout the process was respectful, hardworking, and took excellent care of our belongings. Moving is difficult, but we had no worries with this crew.

We decided to relocate from San Diego, Cali to Apopka florida in 2021, I spoke to a Mike and he was very friendly, and guided me through the move, gave me a quote and then was changed after everything had been scheduled. The move was scheduled and what showed up was a totally different company (Hermes moving). My wife had packed 2 months prior to the move so it wasn’t like the movers were packing. They came put everything on a truck and we were told that prior to the long distance travel that our stuff would be transfer to another truck a long distance truck. It took a couple of weeks for the arrival, we received the move with boxes broken, we started looking through all the boxes and expensive chinaware, electronic items, mens clothes, lawnmower were broken or stolen, I place a claim with the company and got a email from a CSI claim adjusters this was back in December 2021 after several weeks I contacted the company and was told that I was number 750 on the list that the adjusters would get to me, months passed and heard nothing, again I called and was told I was number 350, this was constant, finally March 2022 I get an email that a settlement was made, the broke a bed that cost us 2 thousands, endless mens clothes, chinaware, computer, tablet, blender, baking items and we were told that they were settling for $ 111.00 dollars we lost all of that and they had the audacity to give us 111.00, they had the nerve. people needs to watch who they are dealing with, if they tell you they will move you, make sure they do not contract out like fidelity did with us. They are a scam, don’t use these people. It seems moving companies have become a bunch of scammers, no ethics, no morals. FOLKS BE AWARE WHO YOU USE FOR YOUR LONG DISTANCE MOVERS, in Los Angeles these people open our boxes and supposedly consolidated, what they did was stole our property, I blame fidelity and Hermes moving. Unfortunately i have to give them a start, they don;;t deserve anything

Don’t ever do business with this company Michael is a very shady individual who will write up a contract that won’t fit your move. He wrote us up a contract for our house but there wasn’t enough space so the movers tried to muscle more money for space after holding our furniture hostage. Then Michael stopped answering the phone, on top of the fact that our pickup was more than 3 days late. If I ever find Michael I’m going to beat his ass he needs to learn a lesson and stop lying and stealing from people. I stg I’m going to find him I will fly all the way to Florida just to let him know he needs to stop this fucking shit I stg I’m gone beat the fuck out of him if I find him. I don’t play that stupid shit

Do not book with this company! This is a moving broker not a moving company (read the fine print at the bottom of their website). We booked in April 2022 for a moving date of July 25, 2022. We gave them a deposit at time of booking after we received a price quote. The agent we spoke to was Matt and he was very nice however, after he took the deposit you can never reach him again. We tried several times to reach him as well as customer service. Up until the day we were supposed to have pick up, we were told by customer service they did not have a driver for us. We had to scramble to rent a moving truck and do the move on our own which was totally unexpected. The company breached the contract the day the actual move was supposed to happen. I submitted a claim to BBB and if you do your homework which I wish I would have, there are 18 complaints on the BBB website for this 2 year old company. I mistakenly read all the “good reviews” on Google which I do not believe now are legit.
