If I could rate this company as a negative I would. This has been the worst moving experience of my life! And I'm 62 years old. Been around the block a couple of times. My husband contacted Quality Express Van Lines thinking they were a valid company. They quoted us $5500 total to move our home furnishings for us. My husband detailed the items over the phone while I listened. We were told that we needed to pay a $2200 down payment. a $2100 payment at loading and $1200 payment upon delivery.

I got a verification call a couple of days before the pick-up from another salesman who called himself the "quality assurance agent". He went over the list he got from the salesman. This didn't match what my husband told them we had for furnishings. He also kept asking about other items. For instance did you include bicycles, lawn mowers, typical things that may be forgotten and I said yes we will need to add those items. I also had a freezer to add and a couple of other furniture items. He repeatedly stated "don't worry, our estimating system overestimates everything so you will probably get money back at delivery. He then came back and told me the total price had gone up to over $8000 and that I needed to make a $2400 downpayment today. With 2 days until move I felt as I had no choice. I argued with him about him basically doubling the price for a few extra pieces. He then got into how he estimated 1380 Sq ft and that would be enough to take everything we have. Not knowing better, I paid the additional 2400. We had now paid out almost $4600 and they hadn't picked up the furniture yet,.

They arrived on the day they we agreed to -- the only positive thing I can say. We discovered we were dealing with an entirely different company that was.based in Ohio -- S&M Relo llc. The first thing they did was a walk through video taping my entire home. This made me feel horribly uncomfortable. They then came back and said we would have to talk to their boss "Steve". Steve informed me that we would have to pay an additional fee if we wanted to get all of our furniture on the truck, because we clearly had at least 1700 sq ft. They showed me how much space 1380 sq. ft took up inn the truck. I tried calling Quality Xpress. and S&M Relo,. I told Steve I wasn't paying any more money than what was agreed upon. The movers refused to talk about money, contracts, or scamming. They said we are just here to load the furniture. I called Quality Xpress and talked to their customer service agent who sounded completely helpful and she gave me 3 options. Refuse to let them load and lose the nearly $5000 you have paid down. Let them load the 1380 sq ft only. Or 3, pay for a new updated quote. She suggested I talk to Steve and try to negotiate something. At this point I was so distraught I couldn't talk to Steve.

My daughter who was very upset at what was going on talked to Steve. Steve actually got angry, yelling at her that "I would not get one more stick of furniture on that truck." So much for negotiating.

Feeling abused, humiliated and totally frustrated, I decided to move the rest of the furniture through Uhaul. So they started loading my furniture and stopped when they reached 1380 sq ft. I coudn''t believe my eyes. My home was still full of furniture and boxes. then they sent me the email for the loading bill. It was $3000. They had added additional charges for stairs or for carrying anything over 100 ft from the truck. They charged us for wrapping mattresses and TVs. I was in tears as I looked at the invoice payable immediately. They hadn't even finished loading. All I wanted was to be moved so I paid the invoice and thought about how nice it would be in my new home. That's when I noticed they hadn't even taken the tvs on the truck.

Now, here I am on September 17 and I haven't been able to reach either company after frequently calling and leaving messages and emailing them. I have no idea if I will ever see my furniture and possessions again.

Of course they took the Refrigerator, Freezer, washer/dryers, antiques, etc. Both of these companies are deceitful and scamming.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12000

On 9/9 I got a quote from a moving company to ship my boxes and furniture from Chandler, AZ to Dallas, GA. After they assured me they were not like other movers who had given me a quote they would pick up my items and have them delivered within 3-5 days base on the number of miles they are allowed to drive daily my US-Dot law. Which is why they claimed their rates were on the higher end. After applying military family discounts and several other discounts they were able to get me down to $2500 which I had to pay $1600 while on the phone with their “supervisor” Vernon to lock in the rates. By the way this company was Quality Express. They advised me they would call on 9/16 to take final inventory, I would also pay a portion of the balance at pick up and the remaining in cash upon delivery. They called on 9/16 as promised and I had additional items that I didn’t want to get rid of and decided to keep so they charged me an additional $689 for those. They gave me a pick up window between 9/19-9/22; on 9/21 I got a call from a man Carlos stating he was my driver coming to pick up tomorrow and he wanted to make sure I’m aware that everything needs to be boxed else the can’t take them and also that they will box them for me at an additional cost ( which I’m now thinking he called me at like 6pm the day before pick up wanting to make sure I could not get the pillows etc boxed so I had to pay them for that; I had some extra boxes and I stuffed everything in so that plan didn’t work on me) on the morning of 9/22 @7am Carlos call saying his truck had broken down and it will take him a few hours to get to me. I know he was probably trying to find a second to help him load my stuff. He finally arrived with one other guy and did a walk through he then said “my” company will require me to pay an additional amount for them to pick up my stuff because this was not the number of items they got from Quality Express. At that point is when I actually found out that Quality Express was a brokerage who subbed my moving out to S&M Relo LLC...you can imagine how livid I am finding this out on the day I need to give up my apartment and the day they are picking up. Carlos then had me talk to his “supervisor” Steven who apologized for the miscommunication and that my extra $1300 now is because of miscommunication from Quality to them. To make matters worst they could not get my shipment to Dallas, GA within the 5 days but said the fastest they could would be 9/28-10/23 which is the delivery window they gave me. I again was frantic because I was already scheduled to leave AZ and thought I would have my items for work, my baby’s stuff and my diabetic mother’s stuff. Steven said to me he had a base here in ATL and they travel to here weekly so he’s certain I would get the items long before the 21 days. It’s now 11/3 and I still have not received my items. I’ve called S&M practically every day and for the past 2 weeks they have been telling me my items are assigned to a driver. Yesterday when I called the rude person Jackie or whatever her name is who answered told me there’s nothing she can do. The shipment is assigned and the driver will not be loading them onto his truck until he has 2 other shipments coming this route. This situation was never advised, I asked her why my shipment is held hostage until someone else gets trapped by their scams and lies, I asked her if her 2 year old baby was sleeping on the floor or if her diabetic mom was without her personal care items. She said no is there anything else I can help you with?! This is unacceptable and this company needs to be shut down and a class action lawsuit filed. I just want my items, I am supposed to pay them a balance of $1500 cash upon delivery and they claim they take off $25 for each day after the 21 day that they don’t deliver. $25!??? Like seriously I have heard of shipment nightmares but never would I though I would be victim to one. Very poor customer service, delivery service and high way robbers! I would NEVER recommend this place they need to be shut down.

And don’t get trapped by these fake profiles they have giving themselves 5 stars. Absolutely the worst and they re scammers.

If you are on this website, most likely it is after you get scammed.

If you have paid for additional fees with credit card, file a dispute to the bank. MAKE SURETHAT you try to resolve the case with this scamming company (which they won't be cooperative.). The investigation team from your bank will ask this question, which plays a key role in getting your money back. These scammers will always say "We are working on it" or threaten you to stop contacting them. Don't let the BS get to you. Leave everything in record and provide the proof to the bank. You will win.

Don't let them get away with things they do, and don't feel bad about being scammed. You are smart. It's just what they do is beyond our common sense (e.g., keep changing words. Never follow up on what they promised.)

Lesson learned. Always use CC for any kinds of transactions.

This company was hired by a broker we used so we were unaware of who was performing our move until 24 hours before they showed up. The movers were very friendly and helpful day of but that was our only good experience with this company. As they were counting the items, they somehow came up with two extra items that were not listed. They said it would be an extra $1300 on top of the already hefty sum of money we were paying them(how two extra items could cost $1300 blows my mind). The lady, I believe her name was Deb, took a liking to me and worked it out so that on paper it looked like the correct number. After they left, I did some recounting and discovered that we had exactly what was on their list of items to take. We in fact were not over but they wanted to think that we were in order to charge extra money day of. They knew that we needed them to take our stuff and so they use that to their advantage. After that I tried to remain calm about getting our stuff. It took 4 full weeks to get delivered. We found out our stuff was sitting in a warehouse waiting to get picked up for multiple weeks. After multiple attempts to get an update, they finally told us that it would be delivered within a week. A week later and it is no where to be found. So we called again and turns out it's still in the warehouse. We finally got it later that week but we were without anything for four full weeks, which is absurd. When the things were delivered, the crew was great. However, the bedframe was damaged upon arrival and we were told the company would reach out with how to proceed but we have not heard anything. At this point it doesn't really matter because I don't want anything to do with this company anymore. Overall, do not recommend.

I'm still dealing with my move fiasco from MN to WA. I didn't have a lot of stuff but from damages to my things it came out to be around $400. They are providing a "good faith" settlement of $50. Mind you my stuff was picked up in April, finally delivered in June and it's November and I'm still working with these clowns. There's a lot of unnecessary headache and it feels almost purposeful by the company. They want to stress you out to the point of giving up. Don't use them, or any moving company if possible (unless a corporate company is paying for something halfway decent).

From the broker to the movers. Rip off con artists that need to be shut down! Believe every single bad review on here. Like others said, they will pull you in for your money then double the amount or triple the amount by end of delivery. From all the reviews i have read, i cannot believe nobody has stated that they were going to take this company to court and sue the hell out of them! I KNOW THEY READ THESE REVIEWS SO I WANT TO MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR THAT I WILL TAKE THEM TO COURT AND SUE FOR DAMAGES, LIABLE, AND ALL THE GOOD STUFF. THEN MAKE IT MY GOAL TO SHUT YOU DOWN.

I scheduled a last minute move with S & M Relo LLC. They were quick and helpful when setting everything up for the time and date. Jorge and his team worked faster than I've ever seen a moving team work, were very accommodating and respectful, and the move from start to finish had zero complications. As a result, they took less time than we had anticipated. They also took great care of every single item we had. I will be using this company for all of my future moves, specifically requesting Jorge. I highly recommend anybody to work with S & M Relo LLC if they are able.

I have been extremely impressed with S & M Relo LLC with their professionalism, honesty and follow up throughout my move process. They are honest when they commit to their estimates and the fact that they are more than happy to bring it down if the move is not as intense as we thought - I ended up doing some packing on my own to help expedite things and they were more than happy to recognize that in their overall cost - as well as they were more than happy to use some of my supplies to box things vs charging me based on what they brought. I am extremely pleased with the experience and the reviewers are completely accurate in their positive views. I would highly recommend them.

I honestly believe that all the positive reviews here are written by employees or associates. I have done a lot of moving in my life, but none as bad as this. This has to be the most unprofessional, dishonest and ridiculous company ever. Do not get tricked into their seemingly cheap rates. What started out as $1,600 ended up being $3,000. They will overestimate your cubic feet, try to charge you all kinds of ridiculous charges. I was tricked into this company by a broker who will not take any of my phone calls now. I will be contacting my bank on that soon, because the contract to move the goods was not with this garbage, S&M Relo LLC

I worked with Bryan in scheduling my move to Seattle. I was looking for a complete moving solution that would fit my budget. He was able to bring down packing to $1,200 and the move to $3,800. My job on the move was simply to separate things and point where everything was and where everything went on the new place. I had 2 chairs scratched during the move, but everything else was delivered in perfect condition by the movers. Based on this experience I'd certainly use them in the future for a relocation job.

Hands down the best moving experience I've ever had. This company is truly professional. The prices are more than reasonable, the movers work hard, are efficient, and they care for your stuff as if it's their own. Everything is covered with blankets and shrink-wrap- they even place blankets on the corners of the walls where they move in and out. I have never felt so comfortable having my things moved. The pricing was exactly as quoted and they took a lot of the stress out of a normally stressful situation. Thank you for a great experience.

Moving is such a headache, which is why we decided to use S & M Relo LLC when we moved from Kansas to Toronto. They were extremely professional from the beginning and cost efficient as it only cost us $4500. They made sure all of our belongings were secure, and the movers made us feel very comfortable the entire time. Each person moved everything efficiently and quickly, much faster than we could have ever done on our own. Moving can be a stressful time for everyone involved, including the kids. But with us not having to worry about our belongings, we could focus on our kids and make sure they were comfortable throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend S & M Relo LLC to anyone moving.

For the last two moves I have been using S & M Relo LLC. All the persons have been very professional and active. I learned many things from them. They showed punctuality in every moment of my moves. Quite economical than others. Friendly, helpful and careful. Always active. They packed our all stuffs. Took special steps to pack my aquarium! I have an extensive saltwater fish tank setup and was worried if there was any problem but no, they efficiently handled them throughout the move. All the fish, coral, and alike were alive! And all of things were delivered without any scratches or marks. It was a great relief.

S & M Relo LLC helped us to relocate to Jacksonville, FL from Houston, TX in October. Their email response to my initial enquiry was prompt, detailed and their quote was exceptionally competitive. They patiently listened to all our queries and accommodated several unusual requests! Their foreman and other crew members turned up on time and were very professional and helpful on the day. The work was completed very accurately and in excellent time, all of which made the day much less worrisome as it might have been otherwise. All in all we are delighted with the service and I would recommend S & M Relo LLC.

I have been using their service for 2 years. A few weeks ago I contacted with them and got a business moving service. It was not high rate. Was affordable for my office. I went to their office to renew my membership. They are very active. Every time they fulfilled my all request. On move day, they started packing office furniture from half past nine. They also applied wrapper and boxes. Numbered all of the boxes. Carrying and loading was hard task but they did it an innovative way. They dropped all stuffs in timely fashion. Helped us to fix the furniture in right place at new premises. I always recommend S & M Relo LLC to my all customers and relatives. Please keep it up.

This company was the worst! We moved from Michigan to Arizona. They were late two days which made us have to pile all of our belongings into the garage as the new people were moving in. My furniture arrived busted up and broken .Most all the boxes were ripped and broken items inside. I am missing at least three boxes that I know of including a whole set of brand new dish sets. I am so distraught over this - can't believe I trusted these people with my things. Plus it took three weeks for my things to arrive! Then I was told that my things were shipped from Michigan to California and sent to someone in California who said these were not his. My things got tossed into a warehouse until a new driver could come and get them. Honestly it feels like I just got robbed!! Please people do not use this company! I sure hope I get reimbursed for my missing things!!

They were hired by the company (or brokerage) that my grandma had originally signed and estimate with. But when these people showed up, they wanted $1400 extra dollars than what was agreed upon. When asked why the price was changing, all they simply said was because the broker didn't get the estimate right. He did not explain what exactly had changed since everything we had packed was on the original quote. They also didn't bother to mention what all had changed in this new contract before getting my grandmother to sign it. The man that showed up with his son was bereding his son the entire time. They claim that they provide you with free storage for 30 days if you don't have your place ready...lies. The next day the same sketchy moving place called my grandmother saying they loaded up the truck and they were ready to drop off. Another thing they changed in the contract the day of. Even the increase in price wasn't listed as to why it increased. Steve the manager is the most disrespectful man. He said he didn't care that the contract was completely different and that his guy didn't mention any of the changes. He said that she should have read it before signing it. An 80 year old woman that needed to be out of her home that day and had already been waiting on these guys that were 2 hours late, outside of the window they provided.

All in all, completely unprofessional, mismanaged, and dishonest. Please do not make the same mistake.

This company is a bunch blood sucking leaches lowest scum of life. If you don't mind paying cash monies for nothing to a bunch of crooks them use them. No one other than there for lack of better word customer service center bodies will even speak to you. Biggest bunch of rip of people that breath. I'm going on 2 months and still have no idea when I will be allowed to have my household goods. I even told them I would come and get it my self and, was told I could not. This is a theft of services and unlawful taking. Sad part is no one cares about S&M Relo doing this.
