The broker gave us a quote but this company arrived the day we had to move and more than doubled the previous quote while they already had part of the things in the truck. The men picking up told us they wouldn't charge storage until the date that we asked for the furniture but then charged $700 for one month of storage. The delivery people told us they were the 4th truck that had handled the move, it went from truck to truck 4 times. We were told we were required to pay the final balance in cash or a post office money order but the delivery men called and said they needed it in cash, and it was about $2,700 - in cash. Several things were broken or dirty. No exaggerations here, facts are just stated.

We recently used S & M Relo LLC and had a great experience. S & M Relo LLC crews were very professional and very careful with all of our furniture and boxes. They put pads on the floors and padding on the doors for extra protection of our things being moved. They also put blankets over the furniture to ensure safe traveling. There was not one thing damaged. They moved our entire house full of things in a timely manner. I spoke with at least 5 different moving companies before choosing this company and I am so glad we did. We would definitely use them for our next move!

We used S & M Relo LLC for move from our 6,600 square foot house in Atlanta for a move into temporary living quarters in Roswell. From the beginning, they were above the other moving companies with which I have used in the past. They provided a real personal touch that made us feel as though our valued items would be in good hands. They were on time, professional, moved the goods with great care. No damage, no mistakes, courteous and professional throughout. Everything you would want from a moving company and more.

I hired S&M Relo LLC to move me from Minneapolis, MN to New York City. I was charged ~$5,000 in total, and the experience was awful.

1.) I was misquoted. I was told initially that the total price would be closer to $3,500. But, when the movers arrived at my building in Minneapolis, they increased the price due to a "long walk".

2. S&M Relo lost many of my possessions including the base to an antique couch. I do understand losing small items, but losing big items, such as a couch, does not make sense.

3. The total value of the items that S&M lost was about $1,200. In the insurance settlement, I was offered $65.

It was a very disappointing experience and I would recommend that you find a different company.

I used a broker and they had S & M Relo come and pick up my items. They lost several of my items which totaled over $4000 and I was offered $50 as my settlement. I was never offered full insurance. I was pressured into using them!!!

The driver brought our items and had an inventory checklist which was not complete. How do you leave a warehouse without all the items!!!

They lost My brand new $2900 king size mattress, a midcentury modern mirror valued at $1000 ( belonging to my parents' bedroom set and is priceless to me) and I had to stay in a hotel for an additional 10 days $700 while they confirmed my items were lost.

My only complaint is that they were late picking up my items. But they had great communication with what was going on! Explained to me that their previous job ran longer than expected, and kept me up to date on the new pick up window as well as gave me the number for the driver and dispatcher in case I needed to reach out/had additional questions.

When the guys showed up, they were extremely professional and handled my items with care! We had two pick up locations, and they worked so quickly/efficiently. Since I did not want to pay extra for a specific drop off date, the lead was super nice about letting me know the options and what kind of timeframe for drop off I was looking at. When an opportunity to get my items dropped off earlier than expected came up, they reached out and we were able to get that handled!

This was my first time having a long distance move by myself, and they took away alot of my stress! If I have to move again, then I will definitely be using them again!

So I signed a contract with a different company for moving. They then gave me this company for my moving. I guess first my fault for not knowing they contract it out. Well the movers came when they were suppose to. But I had to wait for over two hours to get a new contract and be able for them to even move our things. Then I had my things in storage and I want them release. Well instead of honoring my 47 cents per cubic feet they put the price up to a dollar. So now it’s 2.5 times more expensive than what I was quoted. The owner is a huge jerk and I would never use this company ever again. Go to a big corporation that is up front and doesn’t try to swindle you after making you wait hours and put it up. Even the mover who I sat with for two hours gave me a quote how it was only gonna be $400 for storage...now it’s almost $800 for one month of storage!! Again never use this horribly ran company who doesn’t care about the consumer only money.

We recently hired S & M Relo LLC to help us move our stuff out before the renovations started. From the very beginning their staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and reassured me that, even though many companies were shutting down because of COVID-19, the movers would be there. The guys showed up on time, were fast, efficient, friendly, and extremely professional. We couldn't be happier and will certainly call them again when it's time to move back in. I highly recommend S & M Relo LLC!

The first point of contact with S & M Relo LLC is wonderful. Never having worked with professional movers previously he walked me through everything they would need to know to assist us best and made a wonderful first impression. On the day of the move our movers made the move seamless. They called to say they'd arrived, were super respectful of our condo building and made for good company while moving our furniture. Having a few special wood pieces, they were diligent on protecting everything from any potential damage during transfer. The whole move happened quickly thanks to Sam and Ty working efficiently. My husband and I kept saying after the move was complete that it was the best money we'd ever spent. S & M Relo LLC is excellent!

This company was a third party to my moving company and shipped my items across the country. There was horrible miscommunication with the primary company, Top Country Moving, where not only was I overcharged but was assured a specific period for delivery time that was not accurate causing me a huge inconvenience leaving me about 10 days without any of my items. S&M Relo showed up and was very kind initially helping me move my items inside my new apartment. I paid extra in tip because I sympathized with their business during covid times and appreciated their work. I communicated with the driver after my things were delivered about missing items. I have text and phone conversation with the driver who confirmed these items still on the truck and would deliver them the following day after another job. We communicated the following day to determine a time the truck would be by to bring me the rest of my items, however the driver Isaiah stopped responding to calls and text and essentially "ghosted". I followed up with Top Country in regards to this and it seemed they were handling the problem and found that my items were delivered to a warehouse in a different state and that I would receive them within 2 weeks time - we even confirmed the item missing with a photo on my end. I checked in and each time I was given the same response - that the truck will be on its way to me at anytime. Two weeks go by and the company then says I should check with S&M (never did they mention this earlier). I call S&M and they tell me my things were never brought to a warehouse and i was lied to. I was very frustrated and disrespected with my time spent waiting patiently for my items. They told me I had to file a claim. I filed a claim against them reporting my missing items and damage to my sofa upon delivery. File goes through and I only receive $50 for my pain and suffering and missing items and damaged sofa that should be closer to $500. I even purchased insurance through the company prior to my move! I am furious with them and attempting to dispute this claim and still have not heard back from the company. I also made a complaint to customer service of Top County and they do not respond and their reps are extremely disrespectful and unsympathetic. I HOPE THIS REACHES MANY OF YOU TO NEVER USE TOP COUNTRY OR S&M RELO FOR THEIR AWFUL SERVICE.

This is by far the worst moving company in the world. Steve the owner is a first class jerk, liar, bully , and I could go on. He was brokered from the main company I hired. Took 30 days to deliver my stuff. Most furniture was broken and even more was missing. He told me and I quote tough shit. His grandson was the one who showed up to load my stuff. He had hired 2 other people to help and they showed up and quit within 15 minutes. He was dumb as a box of rocks. Steve the owner was just as dumb and I have no clue how he's lasted in business. A year later I'm still out my stuff and no recourse. Steve you are a pos. If it was legal I'd bust you in your mouth. Since it's not I'll cost you all The business I can. If any of you get these bunch of clowns to move you I'd suggest firing them on the spot. Nothing but thieves liars and horrible people. Please I beg you all not to use this company

Used Gold Standard Moving in Florida to set up a move from Tennessee to Illinois. The team went through all of my inventory which was less than 40 items and each item was listed clearly on the inventory. Double checked the list two days before the move. The estimate was for 460 cubic feet. Not a lot of stuff at all. Friday before the move I staged it all and did not deviate at all from that list. The employee from S & M Relo came to the house over 3 hours after my pick up window because of truck problems but didn’t call until after my window. She took pictures and video and made the inventory list. Nothing changed. Then I get a call from John with the company telling me that Gold Standard did a poor job on the estimate and tried to say that I had 1100 cubic feet of stuff. That is more than double my move estimate and told me that it would now cost $6000 instead of $3000 to move. I was shocked. Even the laborers said that there was no way I was even close to that amount. The paperwork he emailed me said that I had 63 miscellaneous furniture items. Not even close. My inventory contained 37 items and I did not deviate from that at all. I was forced to cancel the move as I was not going to be scammed or cheated out of $3000. John wasn’t even going to pay his own employee or the laborers. I had to pay the laborers $400 from my own pocket. This was my very first time using a moving company and cannot believe that this is how S & M Relo does business and treats a customer. I was clearly being taken advantage of and hope they aren’t doing this to others.

It’s been almost a month without receiving my items. I had a 3 hour move distance with so little stuff that I had to be upcharged to a minimum rate for a move. I was given a pickup range of 2-5. I had 3 movers show up at 10:00 pm and then tell me that the truck was full, so I had to rework my out of state move to account for the movers needing to come back out a different day.

It has now been 3 weeks today and I still have not received my items that were picked up.

In contacting the company multiple times, all I keep hearing is that they have 30 days to get my stuff to me. They are dismissive and after 30 days I get a compensation of... $25 a day after that.

Avoid Top Country Moving and S & M Relo at all costs.

This is the most dishonest company ever! Anything more than one star in the reviews is fake or they are putting friends & family to enhance their review score! As we were reading how S&M Relo LLC handled previous customers, we realized it is a copy/paste scenario which enfolds like this : They quote the lowest price via a broker, who never informs that they are a broker company. We had Jake from Diamond Pro catering us, who promised everything we wished and more.  After closing the deal and receiving the down payment, he disappeared and never replied to any message/call/email, only to come back one week after the moving saying a lousy excuse such as his friend died and that's why he didn't respond to us.

Moving day happens and the scenario is Good Cop & Bad Cop, meaning the driver plays nice and Steve Coburn from S&M Relo LLC (who goes by tons of other aliases) is the "bad cop" who keeps raising the price every time "good cop" calls him to say we have more stuff than we were quoted (from his partner Jake/ Diamond Pro). It is clearly a well executed theatrical play where they manipulate and extort the customer. They ended up charging us 30% more of the initial offer for a move from IL to TX, blaming us for adding more stuff when in reality, we never added anything. They threatened us that they would stop uploading unless we paid more.

Another important note is that at first, they estimated the delivery date within two weeks... and we ended up getting our stuff after a month!!! Just right before they had to start paying for being late, almost like it was intentional.  At the end, we got our stuff but we lost a couple of boxes and some of the items arrived broken but we didn't have the strength to go back to Steve - or whatever his real name is - to argue.

Our best advice to all... Do it yourself! Or find a respectful company who honors their promises and their clientele.

Little did I know that the broker, Express Moving out of Florida brokered my shipment to S & M Relo.

Tried to extort $350 out of me at pick up for boxing 5 bundles of art.....which were already blanketed & wrapped. These were the exact instructions from Express Moving. Phone call from Steve, apparently an owner of S & L was pushy & rude because I wouldn't pay.

4 weeks & 1 day after pick up, the semi shows up....after the 2 local men hired to help unload had to go find the driver an hour and a half after he was supposed to be at my house. He was still asleep in the semi. Driver was filthy dirty, smelled so bad and was beyond rude.

Missing items, majorly damaged items and everything was mixed up with someone else's items. The driver was crawling and jumping on top of other furniture to try and retrieve some of my items.

I've never witnessed such poor communication, literal extortion, and pathetic service.

Filing my claim today.

Do not use this company. They did not separate people's inventory on the truck, as they claim to do. They kept asking, "Is this yours?" They brought someone else's items into the garage. Even offered him someone else's step ladder since they couldn't find his. They claim to look for them at the warehouse. We continue to call checking on whether they have been found, they say the warehouse will call if they find them. We were charged more money at pickup due to what they called more items. This is wrong to do this to anyone, let alone an elderly man. The driver was more concerned about him signing the papers in the end and never took the time to count the items or show any kind of customer respect or care to the paying customer. The brokers from Venture Van Lines handed us over to S & M Relo. Before writing the review we gave them a chance to help us. They say they understand and then nothing. Keep saying file a claim. BEWARE!
