Long-distance move from Farmland, IN to Welaka, FL

Re: Out of state move

On July 23rd, 2021 I had S and M Relo LLC move my home from Indiana to Florida. The company that contracted the move had assured me that my home items and business furniture would be safe. It took until September for truck to come. When boxes were delivered items were broken, boxes had missing items, my palm tree it’s leaves were broken on off, my brand new queen mattress was missing, the 2 Jamaican boys tried to deliver junk that wasn’t mine , my elliptical was broken, refused to take my church pew that was family memoir. I called numerous times , tried to follow claim, rude customer service, refuse to return call. Paid more than I contract stated. Contracting company Lee and Steve refused to answer or reimbursement for missing bed , lost items and broken items. Do not use this company, they have thieves working for them.

Now it has been going on 3 years and still no reimbursement. The company does not pay face value of merchandise unless you add extra costly insurance. When they loaded my bed they spoke in foreign language while holding mattress. I ask what they said one Tony said he was trying to use mattress to hold everything from falling. Already my heart told me not intention. I have several Jamaican friends who are honest not thieves.

Long-distance move from Atlanta, GA to Haverhill, MA

Most fraudulent, rude, dishonest company and owner ever.

When I booked my moving company I booked Colonial Moving(I will be writing them a review as well) who told me they were not a broker. When the truck driver showed up on May 16th to move my things, I was informed they were with S&M.No one informed me that this had been brokered out.My initial inventory list is attached but you can see I included a ton of furniture. The quote I got was for $1,578.42 for 363cf.The week of the move I contacted Colonial to inform them that I sold the sectional couch, armoire, dresser, computer chair, and TV stand and the 5 suitcases were going in my car and to update my quote. They never got back to me.When S&M came to pick up my things they said they needed to show the owner Steve my items to confirm the quote is correct. He called me to inform me that the quote was now going to be $2,431.28 for now 500cf.This made NO sense considering I sold all the big furniture that was on the initial quote. He was the most unprofessional owner of a company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. After a very long argument of trying to understand how this made sense and asking if he would give me some sort of discount or break since this seemed absurd, he sent me a new quote and told me I had to sign and use a credit card for the $790.99 or else he was telling his movers to leave. They already had my deposit so I didn’t have much of a choice and my hands were tied as I wasn’t going to be able to get my deposit back or another moving company there. He kept yelling at me and telling me I was out of line, yet all I was trying to understand is how I could have less on my inventory yet the quote be this much more.He didn’t want to hear it, nor help me out, nor have good customer service, and also told me to never call him again. He was the one who gave me his number and told me to call if I had questions. They charged me for 2 staircases and 3 long carries yet when I informed the company when I originally booked how my apartment was set up and such they said I shouldn’t have any of those additional charges.Steve told me he was actually helping me by not charging me more than he already was.He told me I had to sign the new contract and I told him it was the smallest print and I didn’t have a laptop and all I had was my phone. He said I could sign on my phone but I told him I couldn’t read half of it.He told me I had to hurry or he was telling his movers to leave. He was rude and arrogant. He had awful customer service yet somehow he is the owner of the company. He would interrupt me constantly. When his secretary called me to take my credit card she told me the total was $830.54.I said, on the quote it says $790.99, she said well we have to charge you a 5% fee for using a card since you aren’t using a money order.I had already gone to the store to purchase the money order of what I thought I was going to owe of $538.14 and couldn’t void that nor could I leave them at my apartment alone to go get them a new money order.Steve said I could use a credit card, NEVER informing me of the 5% fee they were going to charge. When I asked if he could help me out even a little by waiving that, he said absolutely not, that isn’t how this works. When I called the office to get an update on where my things were, they told me they would look into it and get back to me.They never did.So I called back, they didn’t answer my call. I tried again the next day and they didn’t answer my call.So I decided to immediately use my boyfriend’s phone and they answered, which showed they were screening my calls and purposely not answering my number.Every time I called to get an update, the response I would get is either “it’s still in Atlanta and we are trying to find you a driver” or “it is in route and you’ll get a call in the next 2 business days”.That didn’t happen.Again, I had to use someone else’s phone for them to answer until I finally told them I noticed they weren’t answering my personal number, and then they started to again.Steve and his company of S&M, nickel and dimed me the entire time and it took almost 4 WEEKS to get my things and to receive my desk broken.Steve and his company are unprofessional, an absolute joke, thieves, and just take advantage of their customers and do NOT care whatsoever about customer service.I provided an accurate inventory list.I tried to update the inventory list to take MANY things off, yet the quote went up.I tried to get the Steve to assist in helping me with the price, he wouldn’t budge and instead was SOO rude and quite frankly just a mean individual. They wouldn’t answer my phone calls. They gave me inaccurate delivery time frames and when I finally got my things I realized it had been brokered out to third company for delivery. They were amazing to deal with! They also informed me Steve ripped me off because they used only about 375cf when Steve decided to charge me for 500cf. S&M Relo LLC and Steve are the most fraudulent company I have ever dealt with and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Long-distance move from Kentucky to North Dakota

Nervous at 1st, but better than I expected.

Hi! I had a move from KY to ND. It took a little while, but when my stuff showed up, it was exactly as I packed it. It seemed like they treated my things with respect. My dog's beds still smelled like him. My couch too. (Btw~he passed just b4 the move) it took a little time, but I got everything back & perfect condition. I'm so thankful to John, the phone gals & Jesus. I know they catch a lot of heat from some kind of slow deliveries, but you'll get your belongings. Thank you so much S & M. You actually have a soft spot in my heart. Wishing you all at S & M wonderful business ventures for years to come.

Long-distance move from Youngstown, OH to Foley, AL

Most dishonest business I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

The owner Steve Coburn of S and M Relo is the most heartless, hateful, dishonest business man, ever!! What started out being a $1797 move turned into $3345 move, and some of my stuff is missing. I was brokered into using this company, unfortunately. Did not pick them.

He made me pay $1600 on top of the rate I was quoted, because "out of the goodness of his heart" he was bringing me my stuff alone to Alabama because I was so stressed out, and tired of waiting for it. The driver shows up with this huge truck with someone else's stuff on it. So the special truck, just for me, with the $1600 price tag on it was a total lie!! Then I get to see the drivers phone, and there are text messages between he and Steve saying, "they need to get their story straight..the smaller Penskie truck broke down on the way down south." So basically I was charged an expediting fee, for a truck that was already heading south!! The driver was coming this way anyways from Nashville to Texas, but Steve made me believe he rented that truck, and paid a driver just for my shipment. When the driver got here, he informed me it would be an additional $225 for the stairs to my apartment. I had a complete meltdown and told them to take my stuff back to Ohio, burn it, sell it, put it in storage, they were not getting another dime from me.

After that, the driver said he was going to eat the $225 himself, and just bring me my stuff. Then I had to wait for Steve to email me another contract with the $225 fee taken off. I was not signing anything until the stair fee was waived!! Glad now that I did have that meltdown, because the driver seemed to be in on the lie about how such a big truck was needed for my little bit of stuff.

Steve refused to take a credit card from me, because his word was not good enough that he would in fact have my truck here on friday morning as promised, so I put a hold on my card. He accused me of "playing games", so now he would only accept cash from me. I drained my bank acct for this man, and then he wanted more. All I wanted was something in writing, and he refused. He said he would not give me anything in writing, that his word was good enough..huh!! I don't trust that guy any farther than I can throw him!! He is dishonest, greedy, and will make you sign stuff in a hurry, or that is cut off of the page, and then tell you, "you should have read your contract.." My 86 year old mother was the one signing for me when they picked up my stuff in Ohio. They rushed her through signing and initialing 3 pages of tiny print, because they were in a hurry..she had no idea she had just sold her soul to the devil himself, by signing those pages.

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I would not use this company, if they ended up being the only one left in the country!! I would carry my stuff on my back from Ohio to Alabama, before I used them, again!! If I could do it all over again, I would do my research. Make sure you are not dealing with a broker. Ignore all those "too good to be true" quotes, because they don't exist!! In the long run you will pay double, maybe more, if you don't use a reputible company!! I found out the hard way, but sure learned my lesson!!

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to San Francisco, CA

Unprofessional Movers; Overcharged; Uncomfortable Experience.

The guys came into my place looking for percocet and vicodin. I am a consultant not a drug dealer. They then tried to overcharge me for cubic feet utilized but I went and got a measuring tape and I was 100 cubic feet below the estimate provided by Quality Express Van Lines (the broker that overcharged me 2x on my estimate so they could make more money). The driver flicked a pen knife at me and at 2 other residents within the building in the elevator. I over heard them talking about checking out a strip club before they left. I assume the extra money they tried to get from me was for the narcotics they outrageously asked me for and that. I wanted a partial reimbursement from Quality Express Van Lines and S&M Relo and was met with rude customer service and unanswered phone calls. Please steer clear.

Long-distance move from Galva, IA to Greenville, SC

Avoid company at all cost!

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! If by some chance you get brokered into it ( what happened to me ) back out immediately!! So where do I start.. so we moved out from our house in Iowa to head to SC on May 31st our items didn't get delivered till July 18th.. they told us 9 days .. but they have 21 by contract.. The entire time they could give us no update on when or where my stuff was .. Jackie the from office manager kept telling me she didn't have that information on hand at her desk.. the first manager I talked to argued with me telling me I had no clue what I was talking about and I was not looking at my contract when I had it in front of me.. my glass table was shattered my 1,000 dollar tv was not on the truck .. my 300 dollar sound bar as also missing.. all the boxes were in very bad condition with my high value collectables damaged.. the driver told me he would be there at 8 am .. I had to call him twice .. and both times you could clearly tell I had just woke him up after he said he was on the way .. had to contact his boss to get anywhere .. as they arrived they were putting belongings in my yard ( like my 2,000 dollar matresses!! ) they have little regard for you or your belonging.. was charged 250 cubic feet.. for 80 cubic feet . Moved an studio apartment for about 2,500.. worst experience ever!

Do Not Use This Company.

I'm in the process of filing a claim, but I had a terrible experience with this company. I went through All Pro Moving and they contracted out S & M Relo. All of my furniture was damaged or didn't show up at all (yes, an entire bed frame and desk were delivered in pieces and only some showed up..). Nothing aside from my mattress was wrapped and anything taken apart was left disassembled in my garage (my parents accepted the delivery). I am still fuming thinking about what a waste of money and total scam this company is running. I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Moving.

The delivery took a month. Missing tons of boxes, ladders, tons of damage. Website to file claim is not even working. My boxes arrived smashed so matter how well you packed or bubble wrapped can’t survive smashed boxes. The delivery driver even felt bad and agreed it was terrible. Lesson learned for sure. I would give no stars. Don’t use these guys they are terrible and can’t even return calls or communicate.

Long-distance move from Covington, KY to Port Charlotte, FL

Crooks & Scam Artists!

Experienced great customer service with Quality Express Van Lines who never informed us they were a broker. "Kyle" said our moving crew was "his favorite crew" coming to move our family 1,000 miles from Northern KY to Central Florida. Once he had our 30% deposit from an initial $7,000.00 quote, we never heard from him again and to this date, he has never returned multiple phone calls.

A moving company showed up at my house at 6:30 p.m. after confirming an arrival time of noon. Walked through our house, talked to his "boss" who then called me to say the broker "grossly underestimated" our move and it was going to cost us another $2400.00 (1/2 of which had to be paid to the movers at the time of pick-up). Our closing was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. the next day and the "boss", Ryan, knew we were under duress. Our hands were tied! We had already paid over $2,000.00 to the broker that disappeared and now we had two movers on our driveway who wouldn't load anything until we got a contract from S & M emailed to me and I signed it.

Once signed, the crew opened their truck which was already HALF FULL of someone else's belongings "from Utah". Wehad just signed a contract for a 26 foot truck and a half! Ryan said, "the empty truck is on its way" only to call back an hour later to say he couldn't get a truck "until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning". The crew of two loaded what they could in the half emtpy truck, left after midnight and promised to be back with an empty 26 foot truck at 7:30 the next morning. They showed up at 9:00 a.m. knowing we had to be out and clean the house with our closing scheduled at 2:00 p.m.

We did not make the 2:00 p.m. closing. Movers finally left our house at 4:30 p.m. with our belongings. I gave items away, threw items out, to make my belongings fit into this quote that was provided to me. We were asked what was the soonest date they could deliver our items to us at our new home. It was June 27. We received our belongings on July 17. We went 3 weeks sleeping on air mattresses living with only the items we had fit into our cars!

Ryan lied to us mutiple times about when the truck was coming. We were told over and over that our stuff was still in the warehouse in Atlanta. He wouldn't return phone calls. He eventually stopped answering our calls altogether. We resorted to calling from friends' telephone numbers so he couldn't recognize our calls. Then he answered! Don't bother calling the "home office" because they are the left hand of this operation that has no idea what the right hand is doing! Ryan told us he would check with his boss, who, by the way, is Steve Coburn, to try to expedite our move, which would cost another $1600.00. I had not intentions of paying them another dime. We were held hostage by them! Ryan relayed to me that his boss told him to stop answering our calls and we would get our stuff within 30 business days.

When our belongings arrived, we were given items that didn't even belong to us. ALL of our items were jam packed into one 26 foot moving truck (even though we were charged and paid for a truck and a half). MULTIPLE items were broken, some damaged beyond repair. An entertainment center with built in fireplace was completely shattered such that the driver had me walk outside to see it bc it wasn't even worth carrying it, or its pieces, inside. My heirloom piano was missing its wheels which were found in the "Atlanta warehouse". I was told the wheels were being Fed Exed to me the next day..I've never received them. We had too many damaged items to mention here. The movers who came to our new home to unload the truck told me directly, "they treated your stuff like garbage. I've never seen a move like this before". I've filed a claim with their so-called moving claims company but I certainly don't expect anything in return.

This company is a joke. They take advantage of peoples' situations and rob them! They lie from the moment they step on your property. When they do finally deliver your items, they will be trashed, broken and some missing. DO NOT BE SUCKERED INTO THIS SCAM LIKE MY FAMILY WAS!

I'm doing my best to write as many reviews as I can on these two companies to try to save another family the grief and expense that we endured. Even the Ohio Attorney General has been contacted! Good luck to you with your move!

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Ohio

Move from Mn. to Ohio.

First my move was scheduled for the 20th of August. I had to call to find out they were not coming until the 21st. They came late around 5 PM and were not done loading until around 10 PM. Said they would deliver on Monday in Ohio. Called Monday to see when it would be arriving and they told me my things were in a climate controlled storage locker in Iowa. I would get my things whenever they found a driver to deliver them. They called me Wednesday the 26th and said they would deliver on Thursday. They showed around 3 PM that day in a Penske truck with my mattress strapped on the back outside of the truck. They did not bring 4 of my shelving units and a ladder. They were delivering two other customers also from that truck. They chose not to load my shelving because they had no room. My pricing was changed three times on me. I ended up paying close to $10,000.00 for my move from Minnesota to Ohio. They are very unprofessional and rude. I was not informed that they were Brokers. They were not upfront with anything. It was a real nightmare for me. They have still not delivered my book cases nor called me about the loss. They took items apart to have more space on the truck and never put them back together for me. Some of my furniture was scratched. Boxes were smashed. Very poor service for the price. Thinking about getting an attorney.

Long-distance move from Olathe, KS to Buckeye, AZ

Worse experience ever

The crew was 2 days late, had no packing tape or plastic to put down on the floors. I had all boxes packed and in my garage, the beds were apart, mattresses and box springs wrapped in plastic and by the front door. Dining room table was disassembled so basically all they had to do was move an armoire up 15 stairs and outside and a 5 piece sectional. Needless to say 4 hours into it they hadn't done anything except track mud in our house. Once they started they never wrapped anything until after it was on the truck. Once they got going they realized the truck didn't have enough room on it and had to go get another truck. when they did this they left some of the our furniture and the other peoples furniture in our yard in the rain. 2 hours later they show up and finish loading damaging our walls, hardwood floor and carpet. During this 8 hour fiasco I was on the phone with Steve and he promised they would take

care of everything and let me say he has avoided every call and text message I have sent him. Delivery was on time but when they began unloading it was obvious there was a lot of damage. All 4 kitchen chairs and bench seat were broken to and are unusable. The driver could not believe all the damages and was on the phone with the owner of S & M RELO, LLC (Steve) and his comment was have them file a claim. Have you tried filling out a claim? They make it impossible. You can never speak to a human and everything is via email. BE WARNED DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. To make matters worse they charged me $3000 more than I was estimated from the broker. A real man (Steve if you read this) will be true to your word and replace the broken furniture, fix the damaged furniture, clean our carpets and fix the damages to our walls and hardwood floors.

Long-distance move from Rapid City, SD to Marina, CA

S & M RELO LLC (DOT 3253956) Trinity Relocation Services (DOT 3218709)

I am writing to report several problems and concerns that need to be addressed with our recent move from SD to CA.

First there were several issues with the timing of delivery and the delivery movers were unaware of their obligation to show up at a second delivery address. They first told us they were coming at noon on Friday 12th March, then called and told us they had a mechanical failure and would show up at 7pm. When they arrived around 7 pm they demanded that we sign paperwork documenting that the furniture was in acceptable condition prior to beginning to unload. Since we needed our furniture, we could not refuse. When they found out they would be going to a second address they complained they were “too tired” and tried to reschedule the delivery. They repeatedly denied knowing about a second address, refused to unload and left. We were unable to reach any customer support at Trinity. On Saturday the 13th of March, after we paid them additional money and the furniture was finally unloaded. Eventually, we incurred additional charges of $550.00 that totaled to $3,025.00 for two extra flights of stairs and for both delivery locations on March 13th. (Total Bill was $9,025.00 in CASH as a suggestion to save money (NEVER AGAIN) for 1425 SQ CU FT)

The driver, Zam, repeatedly told us that he does not load or unload. He apparently believed that his job was solely to drive the truck. Unloading was apparently our problem. They arrived with no equipment to lift furniture, but stolen IKEA cart and asked us for a knife to cut the tape to unpack. When they began unloading, they complained multiple times that our furniture was “too heavy” and asked our family members to help. The lack of professionalism and skill was very apparent. Bluntly, these movers did not know what they were doing. They confirmed that by saying that they are just delivery drivers not movers. They scratched and caused “dings” on walls, doorways and staircases with furniture. They did not reassemble many items, lost the hardware, and left blankets on the furniture. In addition, Zam, the foreman of the delivery movers did not wear a mask which we find unacceptable during this Covid pandemic.

Zam refused to provide any sort of work identification number or DOT number upon my request. He said that they are self-employed, had to rent “Penski” truck and received the load from a warehouse in Idaho. Zam said he did not know who M&S RELO LLC or Trinity Relocation Services and confirmed that he got the job from the guy who knows “John”.

Overall, we are outraged at our experience with your company. We had picked Trinity because you claim to be a professional company but we had no support when we needed it. We were extorted by the driver of the delivery vehicle who refused to unload unless we paid for anything and everything he wanted. Then, to our horror we found that you could not protect us from this hoodlum. We feel that Trinity sold us out to unskilled, unprofessional and rude delivery movers who not only ruined our things but demanded additional ransom, put our physical safety and health at risk and cost us additional time.

Last of all, there were multiple damages to our furniture and the property.

Specifically, the driver emphasized that we were at his mercy and would have to pay whatever he demanded or he could hold our furniture indefinitely. He repeatedly stated that the entities we hired to move our furniture were unknown to him, had no control over him, and were irrelevant to him and us in resolving our impasse with him. We believed that when we hired Trinity that we were dealing with regulated professionals. Then we find that we are dealing with an extortionist who has no need to abide by the agreements we arrived at and paid for with Trinity. If in fact this is correct Trinity has damaged us. We were led to believe that you were a professional company and would use reputable companies/individuals to complete our move. I can assure you that this did not happen.

Steve, the owner of S&M Relo LLC, told me on the phone that I have been offered replacement insurance and declined, now all what we can get is 0.60 cents/lb per damaged item and that people like us are never satisfied. In few weeks both companies wrote standardized email, stating one sentence of apology and link to their “NUTRAL” subscription third party claim partner. At the end please remember, you have no back up but small claims court and reviews. We would never recommend these two companies to anyone!!! The lesson is to goes with Big Van Lines that own their vehicles and pay their hired W2 drivers, also pay with Credit Cards, never cash!!!

Long-distance move from Hudson, NC to West Warwick, RI

Unproffessional

If I could give them a minus zero I would. This company wasn't hired by me but by Allegiance. They were not supposed to store my furniture but did. It took me a month to get my furniture back and when I did, boxes were missing, the boxes that made it were all crushed and destroyed some of the contents. In one case the box was so badly crushed that it exploded a can good full of tomato sauce. My computer was damaged beyond repair as well as my router, lamp, and some glass figurines. I bubble wrapped everything and it was still damaged. My keurig didn't make it, nor did my glass pan lids, glass bowls, my expensive shredder was also missing but I found pieces of it in my driveway. I also didn't get the box with my two books of antique coins. All, and when I say all I mean every piece of wood furniture was gouged, nicked, scratched bad enough so that I had to hire a furniture repair person. My furniture is only 1 - 2 years old. My leather love seat made it in but with damage to the structure of the interior walls and door frame. They refused to bring in my leather sofa and said if they tried to get it in and couldn't they would not put it back on the truck, so I had to put it in storage.

I was pressured into signing the contract with them after I had already signed a contract with

Allegiance. I tried several times to not sign certain things in the contract but they said if I didn't sign everything they would not take my furniture. I felt as though I had no other choice. I wouldn't be able to get another moving company on such short notice. I know because I tried. I thought I paid for professional movers and opted for the basic insurance, which was 60 cents on the pound. I was so wrong. This entire fiasco cost me a total of $5800. I tried to settle the losses through the moving claims department because after speaking to an attorney, I was told I had a case but would have to go to OHIO courts to file, I am in RI. The moving claims finally sent me a settlement offer of $38. Couldn't do anything but cry. What a joke. This company needs to have it's license taken away. They hold you over a barrel and take your money but do not deliver professional service.

Horrible move

Cross country move from iowa to florida. They give you a new contract at pickup and if you do not sign you are out the deposit (in my case 1200$) you can only select insurance of .60/LB. It arrives 3 weeks after projected date. Items were stolen, some were broken, hired Ed a full service move for nearly $5000. My items were not reassembled and they offered a settlement of $112 dollars. They stole a $900 dollar snowboard. You don’t lose a custom ocean print blue snowboard going to florida.

How is this company still in business???

Total mess! Over $5000 in lost and damaged items on a move from AZ to Illinois. Spent hours on a claim and they are giving me $110 which I have to get notarized before I get the check! A $1400 soft top to my jeep wrangler is missing, but found and never returned to me. That contact no longer works for the company or her phone # has been changed.

Top Country Movers was the broker and they used S &R Relo, which I had no idea!! Do not use either company for your move. I actually give it a ZERO rating!

Long-distance move from Grimes, IA to Palm City, FL

Horrible Move Experience, save yourself the aggravation!

My move was brokered to S & M in Nov. of 2021 and my experience was a nightmare. My things were loaded and the price was increased from $1200 to $2890 or I would have to pay to have the truck unloaded. I was asked when I would be available to receive my belongings in Florida from Iowa and I gave them a date of Nov. 15 which was 3 days later. I was told they would deliver in 5-10 days but had until Dec. 30th, first I had ever heard of that. I also thought my things would be headed to Florida from my apartment only to find out they were going to a warehouse in Des Moines. The end of the communication...I called the broker weekly for my updates only to hear there is no driver available I am sorry! They didn’t know they didn’t have a driver when they agreed to take the job? Then I was told it was loaded, it was on a trailer waiting for a driver, in transit, not loaded, on a trailer, waiting for a driver, etc. etc. I finally had enough and contacted the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Admin. and filed a complaint, filed a complaint with the Ohio Atty. General, contacted the Iowa DOT for help, reported my things stolen with the sheriff when out of the contract date and not knowing where they were, filed a complaint with the Florida Agriculture Dept. Only then did I get my things delivered January 17th but like everyone else, damaged and broken. I am owed several hundred dollars for late fees and damages but we will see if I get anything. The Ohio Atty. General is following my case so with a little luck they will do the right thing!

When my things were delivered I was expected to pay the balance due of 1200.00 in cash before the doors would be opened on the truck. Beware because you don’t know if your stuff is in the truck or the condition of your things but they get their money first. They want you to sign stating your things are all there and in good condition as well. I didn’t get a receipt showing I paid the money and my things weren’t all there nor in good condition. If you pay the money and your stuff isn’t in the truck they can close the door and drive off according to the deputy that I called. Only you stand to lose on the deal so take my advice and move yourself. I could have hired the seven dwarfs and blindfolded them and gotten a better job then this.

***Warning !!! Do not use this company!**

Do not use this company or any other company owned or operated by Steve Coburn. ( S & M Relo LLC , Afordable Moving Systems , Affordable Moving Systems Business Management) These are a few of his current company names. They change so ensure you do not use ANY company associated with Steve Coburn.. I am dealing with the warehouse out of Radnor, OH. I think. They have a few and are in the process of opening another one.

They have a BBB rating of an F in the state of Ohio… Look them up !!!!

There are 134 listed complaints in last 3 years however this business name is only 2 years old. These are public facts .

They were subcontracted by the company I hired . Almighty Relocation Llc out of Florida) . Ensure you state you will not conduct business with them.

My property was picked up on Oct 22, 2021 and I still do not have all my property after 2 deliveries. . Today is 1/13/22. My furniture was damaged excessively , mattress was muddy and wet, paid extra for 3 clothes hanging boxes and used one to stuff dry cleaned clothes in and still charged me for 3, they were paid to put bed and dresser together and still have not as they lost all pieces to do so, and the only answer you will get is to “file a claim”….

I’ve also received someone else’s property . I have notified S & M Relo LLC by phone and email with pics of this persons property. I gave them permission in writing to give out my contact information and I would and will send at my expense to the owner… I’ve gotten no response ..

****MISSING ???****

Anyone missing a 16” x 22” clear container with Green Sterilite top containing kitchen items/ pottery please contact me .. 412-889-6411

The inside customer service people have basically told me this happens all the time and the management John Chaverri - Operations and the owner John Coburn instructs employees to just say “File a claim.”

Feel free to reach out to me as I want to warn as many people as I can and will continue to do so.

Long-distance move from Rochester, MI to Austin, TX

Worst experience ever

Do NOT use Nationwide Moving of America or S & M relo. I provided very accurate description of all my belongings (moving from studio apartment). They show up and demand I pay $1200 more. I had no choice because I already paid non refundable deposit. They were screaming at me to sign the 30 page contract or they would start charging me per minute I didn’t sign. I was promised my stuff would arrive in 20 days. It took 2 months. I emailed numerous times asking where it was and no response. One day I got a call and they said it would arrive the next day less than 24 hours. Each day they delayed until the next day. They delayed 3 days. Then on the day it arrives I get no warning they are on their way. I get a call the mover is there. He states he cannot enter my apartment with no reason. I had called before saying to please confirm it would not be an issue to enter where I was moving from or too and they reassured me it was no issue and no cost additional. The dispatch office calls and says the driver will not enter the apartment complex and I can pay them to store my stuff for one day $1k and still get all of my stuff out of storage and into my apartment or get a uhaul for them to transfer in and I am responsible to get it into my apartment. I had to scramble to find a uhaul. They threatened they would charge me by the minute of them arriving until I figured out what I was going to do. When I got the uhaul to the moving truck I found out there was only ONE mover. This is not professional. That is why they would not move my belongings because one person cannot move a couch, dresser, table ect up stairs. I asked why my boxes were damaged and he said because I packed them they can throw them around how ever they want and they are not responsible. He literally was throwing my stuff in front of my eyes. DO NOT USE THEM. Very stressful and expensive situation. Upon unboxing my stuff was damaged. Several items broken and I packed everything extremely well.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Florida

Awful moving experience

Torn upholstery, filthy storage conditions, broken items. Even though our damages were around $1500, we were offered $35. Company arrived 2.5 hours late and then sat in the driveway for 2 more hours because they had the incorrect loading information. The 2 movers had no idea where our items would be stored. We were originally told they would be stored at a facility in Florida near our new home and we later found out this was a lie. It never left Ohio.

My review was too many characters for this site. I would give zero stars if it were possible. Dont hire them, horrible from start to finish, charged double of what was quoted, move out and move in date changed 8 different times all the night before. Tried giving me other peoples belongings on move in, missing items from my move in as well as damaged furniture and items. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Long-distance move from Madelia, MN to Verona, KY

You could not pay me enough to hire them again!

We were quoted for $13,400 for 2400 sq.ft, by Priority Home Relocation, and guy said it is the most we will pay, we did not know they were brokers, they have charged 1/3 of the price just to book the move, I had to call where the movers are at the day of pick up and they have showed up late, went to the house, talked to the boss they have told us we need 4000sq ft that we were under quoted, so the whole picture is to get you under quoted but at the end your price will almost double, we had to move so we did it and there is a catch your first quote with your broker does not mean anything, you just signed new quote with them and there are other charges included. We ended up paying addtitional $3780 just for four more days of storage and $2200 for shuttle fee which is determined by driver not to mention additional charge for 1600 sq ft. We have called almost every day about delivery because they never reply to your email, on Saturday morning we called and we were told driver was assigned but we do not have the date yet maybe - 5-7 days, that same day at 11:45am we get the call that driver be there next day till 1pm, like ok?? They accept only cash or postal money order or they will not open the truck when they deliver, like everything is closed at noon on Saturday, they were late again and did not show up till 3:30pm on Sunday and we were told we need to pay additional shuttle service and they will be there next morning, they did not show up till 4 pm, delivered 1 load and went for the second load but weather got bad so they said they will be back at 8am but did not show up till 9am, we always helped unload and load, we just wanted to be done, they do not put anything on the carpets, andIpaidforafullglove servvice!! Two night stands are totalled, my new fridge is scratched and danged up, one box was wet and frozen so pillows in it as well, plastic shelving had broken corners, just a night mare!! If they would at least say they are sorry but if you point it out they act like they do not hear you, I have dealt with proffesionals before, THIS IS NOT IT! Before they unload they make you sign and pay for everything, when I asked for receipt they said I will get it by mail which I have never got. . They have told me web address where I should claim damage which does not exist. Do not use these guys!! You save yourselves a big headache!

Long distance move from Iowa to Arizona Oct. 2020

This company was a subcontractor for prime line logistics. Prime line quoted cost of just a little over $10,000. S&M Reloc LLC came on day of my move and told us it would cost us over $17,000. My husband is 76 and I am 74 they took advantage of us. They knew we had to be out of our house that day because it was sold. They then charged us another $1,700 for extra month of storage. We got our belongings in mid December with new 55” smart TV broken, a back leg broken off my curio cabinet nicks and hard rubs on my Ashely king size bed. Our clothes were chewed up by mice and while mover was opening a packing blanket lots mouse poison and dog food fell out on my floor we found more signs of mice as we unpacked more things. These people are dishonest they offer cross country moves for less then $4,000 that gets them in your door then it’s down hill from there. They took advantage of an elderly couple in stressful times, they knew we had no choice but to take what they offer. We would never recommend Prime line logistics or S&M Reloc LLC to anyone they are both the worse companies we have ever had the bad luck to meet. Stay clear of these two companies.

A scumbag runs this company

Literally the most scumbag awful people I have ever worked with. Not only did they send someone who was sick with a respiratory infection to my house to touch and move my things in the middle of covid but they lost multiple boxes with wedding gifts in them. Damaged my TV, desk and walls of my house but they also just don’t care at all for their customers. I called multiple times over the last few months asking if they had found my missing boxes and I get same excuse “oh we will look soon”. Garbage company, garbage management, garbage employees for the most part. They forgot to bring boxes I paid for and the reason my TV was damaged is because they didn’t bring the TV box I paid for.

Terrible company. Do Not Use!!!!!

Terrible service. Would not respond in a timely manner. Most times took over 2 weeks after I would leave multiple messages. They subcontract the move out to lowest priced mover. After going over my inventory twice with sales person, when movers showed up they loaded 1/4 of what was quoted and company did not take any responsibility for mistake other than we told them wrong. We told moving company to only pack what was quoted and it was 1/4 of inventory on quoted list. Later found out movers did not even fill truck up to allowed square foot allowed and would not reimburse me for their mistake. Ended up loading a 101"x26' enclosed trailer packed from nose of trailer to rear that was already quoted to be picked up by moving company. Original cost was $4800. Ended up paying over $13,000 for total move. Response I got from moving company was "What does it mater the cost, you have to move it any ways." When movers showed up with few things they held it ransom. I paid upfront like asked so no money was needed when they dropped off my stuff. They made me pay again. They also made me sign a document saying that I looked at my belongings and were ok before they would unlock truck for me to verify. I told them I would not sign until I saw my stuff as the document stated. Their response to both issues was they would come back and charge me another $3000. So I was forced to sign a paper and pay again in order to get my stuff and not get another $3000 bill. Tried this company because it has good reviews. They are fake. I ended up paying what a brand name moving company was going to charge me but I paid same amount with tons of headaches. Definitely do not use this cut rate company. I left multiple messages over 4 months ago and still have not got a response.
