We usually move our medical supplies from the manufacturer through Roadrunner Moving and Storage Company. They have always delivered all our supplies and health equipment in great condition and shape. Not once have they been late. They make moving right on time. I also see them as an inexpensive option, given that they go through a lot just to make sure that they never fail you as a client. I’m a distraught mother right now and I just don’t know what to do. My husband has chronic lung disease so I can’t even be truthful to him about what I’m dealing with right now with Roadrunners moving and storage. Here’s my story:

My son graduated from Florida A & M in Tallahassee, FL with a Masters of Architecture on May 4, 2019. He received a job offer in Atlanta. Because my husband was ill, I knew it would be difficult for us to try and relocate my son so I had him checking into moving companies. My husband is on so much specialty medicine my funds are limited but I didn’t see any other options. My son called 3 companies and got the lowest quote from Roadrunner. I told him to read the reviews on the company. He said there were all good reviews (now realize they are fake).

My son (Anthony) was quoted $1485 to move a 1 bedroom, 800 square foot apt. He was told the entire process would take 3-5 days. I used my American Express to put down a 20% deposit ($451). He would need a personal check on the day they showed up to pack for $705 and the balance would be due (money order only) when furniture was delivered. His pick up window was May 13-15. After following up, Anthony was told they would be to his apartment between 9am-12 noon, Monday, May 13. They showed up around 1:00pm and that’s when our nightmare began. Was Quoted $1485 but after truck was completely loaded the driver said it was over the estimated cubic feet quoted and charged an additional $1900. Anthony told them to take his boxes off he would try to get them to Atlanta another way. They put boxes in first, then furniture so they told him they would have to charge him to take boxes off and reload furniture. I was at home in Louisiana so I told Anthony they had us over a barrel and we had no options but to pay. The driver told Anthony they would deliver furniture next day to Atlanta, early afternoon. Anthony got up early and drove from Tallahassee to Atlanta to be there when they arrived. No one showed up. Anthony was given driver’s phone number by Michelle (person who finally answered phone at Roadrunners office). Anthony had to call several times before she finally answered. Anthony left the driver several messages and he never received a call. Anthony has been calling the office several times a day before Michelle picks up. She tells him the same thing, they are in Georgia making deliveries and would be to him soon. May 16, my son called and asked Michelle for Manager. Regional Manager finally returned call late today and was told the 1-3 day guaranteed delivery didn’t apply to him because he didn’t pay $9000 and rent the entire truck. He couldn’t give him a date of delivery, possibly next week. This was not ideal since Anthony starts his new job Monday. Everything he couldn’t bring in his car was put in Roadrunners truck. He has no clothes to start work Monday. He has been sleeping on an air mattress without any pillows or sheets in an empty apartment. The Manager couldn’t even tell him where his furniture is because he wanted to go and retrieve some of his belongings. The guy was the worst, offering no solutions and didn’t care that my child had nothing in a city away from his family. I just don’t know what to do. I’m not even concerned about all the money at this point, my child needs his belongings. Please read the reviews, you will see a pattern with the fake ones. All the negative reviews say the same thing but they are buried within the fake ones. I have a call in to 60 minutes and I’m waiting for a return call. I want these con artists be put on the National stage so they can’t continue to take advantage of honest people. I will do everything in my power to expose this SCAM.
Since they indicate they have zero-tolerance for fake reviews, I’m sure this true and accurate review may never be posted. However, I’m taking advantage of ever available medium out there.

You should choose another moving company . . . any other moving company. They have cleverly figured out a formula that sets you up perfectly for additional charges that are completely unwarranted. They apply an arbitrary weight to your possessions based on some imaginary items that may exist somewhere but have no connection to reality. Then, it's very easy for them to say you are over your weight allowance and have to pay more. In my case, another $800. They're holding your belongings hostage until you pay so you have to pretty much cave. Afterword, I called to complain and they said they would have their manager call me. Who wants to put money on whether or not he or she called. Yeah, you guessed it. They don't give a [EDIT]. They got their money. That's why they make you pay in cash on receipt. They know most people would stop payment any way they could after being completely ripped off.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $2200

I am a car dealer and I sometimes use Roadrunner Moving and Storage to move new inventories to customers all over the country. This enormous task requires a very trustworthy moving company and after years of using their services, they have an excellent work record. They have large trucks that can ship almost anything and they have the most professional loading and offloading crew I have ever seen. I sent a car to my client last week and she told me that the car came without even a cat scratch on it. The paint job was excellent. Thank you Roadrunner Moving!

My motorbike came in without any damage. Thank you Roadrunner. I was expecting it very late but it came in sooner than I had expected. The offloading was even the most interesting part. The crew handled it with the kind of care I only see in very rare occasions. They put down my bike gently and even took it inside my garage. They talked to me nicely and wished me a great day after they finished their work and then left. They were not rude to me at all. Their warm treatment and high level of professionalism made me to like them even more. I am happy with Roadrunner Moving and Storage Company, and Thank you very much for helping me out.

It was a wonderful experience that I cannot forget for many years. Road runner moving and storage have the best packing procedure in that they pack the sensitive features together and the less sensitive ones together this helps a lot because there is no damage on the property no matter the distance. Recently I got a bigger music studio and I had to move my instruments. I was kind of afraid because some of the instruments are very delicate. So I went on to research the best moving company and came across many companies, but one of them stood out. I am not afraid to buy in bulk because I can always trust the road runner for storage. The staff members are friendly and their charges are moderate. Jake and Austin were a pleasure to work with. They were careful and communicative throughout the entire process. We lived in a high-rise with relatively small hallways, so moving things in-and-out weren't necessarily easy. All our furniture was meticulously wrapped and moved into our new home without a scratch. Road runner moving and storage are the best moving guys in the rown. Their team leader Ryan introduced me to his colleagues and assigned them into their respective rooms. They made the sitting room their work station from which they would assemble the boxes. In less than 2 hours, the whole house was fully packed and they loaded the trucks ready to go. There is the theoretical “stress free moving” we hear a lot then there is the real deal. We as a company are very pleased with an excellent job that was done by Road Runner Moving And Storage!! We are a big company and had to move as fast as possible because we had gotten a better space and we still had deliver some orders but our track broke down so we had to look for an alternative and roadrunner moving and storage were the best to help us get out from this dilemma. Let me first start off by saying Sean the driver who delivered 30 boxes to 505 W 161st ST Apt 62 New York, NY 10032 was a poor representation of your company. Sean was rude and very disrespectful. Per my conversation with both Janie and Michelle, the $75 charge was to include the delivery of the boxes to the 6th floor. I confirmed with both on many occasions. I was very upfront about the stairs in my apartment and about not having an elevator.

I spoke with Sean about 5 minutes before he arrived at my apartment. I advised him that the code to my building so he could be buzzed in. He began to tell me he was not coming up and stairs unless I agreed to pay more money. I advised him that the stairs were apart of my contract he began to yell at me over the phone. We exchange words and I advised him I would meet him downstairs. While waiting from him to arrive I called the customer service number. The woman I spoke with was very patient I was very upset.

When Sean arrived I told him not to worry about the steps I advised I would speak with Janie and Michelle about the matter. Sean then request the money to pay the balance he quotes me $272.57 I advise him I have an email from Michelle with my final balance which was $262.57 he begins to yell again. Telling me I need to give him $272.57 or I will not be able to obtain my things. What upsets me the most about this whole situation is the fact he tried to cheat me out of $10 this is completely disgusting. I attached below both the email from Michelle and a copy of the receipt from the pickup which Gabriel Lewis signed from Sean showing my ending balance.

After the dispatcher was able to convince Sean of my ending balance. I gave Sean one money order with the full balance. Then he refused to take the money order stating he wasn’t taking it from anywhere else but the post office or a bank. This seems weird because when picking the boxes up the money orders came from Publix, not the bank or post office. I threaten to call the police but at this point, I wanted my things. I paid an additional $5 to cash in the money order for cash. Sean had me sign a document he never gave me a copy of the document or a receipt for payment.

My things were per my request left in the lobby. At the end with his back turned me he said " That's it no more" and walked away. What can I say excellent customer service?

The driver I had the displeasure of meeting really made a happy situation very difficult for no reason. The one good thing out of this whole situation is I will never have to deal with Sean again. I hope he doesn't ruin another customer's day the way he attempted to ruin mine.

Roadrunner moving was determined to minimize costs with the help of packing our large wide variety of books and frequent family objects ourselves and hire a transferring truck from budget. We requested Roadrunner moving for help. They visited our residence and furnished an estimate. On loading day, the staff arrived quickly and did a remarkable job loading the truck carefully and effectively in order to get the whole thing onboard. They remarked favorably about how properly the truck had been loaded with very little transferring and no injury for the duration of the drive. I would quite endorse the moving staff services. Good Work!

Where to begin.. We were lied to regarding the entire process from the sales person. It took the movers more than one month to move our belongings to our new location. Very little and unclear communication the entire time regarding ETA. The movers themselves were on social media while they were moving our belongings and not focusing on the job at hand. It took them over 8 hours to move out of our small town home, we don't even have that much stuff (and we packed everything already). They were supposed to give us a 24 hour warning before they arrive, and they called us and told us they were going to be at our house in an hour (on a work day). Then they had the audacity to ask for a $1,500 tip. DO NOT choose this company. You will save yourself many headaches.

We are undergoing a very bad experience with Road Runner Moving and Storage company. The items were picked up on 25th May 2019 and the folks intimated that they would send out the stuffs on the immediate available 1st trucks that will start to CA. But in actuals, there were no response from the customer support team or the person who provided the initial estimate. Each time when I call, the call goes to a voice mail and you will never receive any updates after that. Infact I did not receive my stuffs till today 06/27/2019. The stuffs were loaded in a truck on 06/23 and stated that he will deliver on 06/25, on 06/25 driver said he will deliver on 06/26, on 06/26 he said between 8 AM-1PM, but till now he did not deliver the stuffs. Got a message now @ 8.40 PM PST timings that the driver is is heading to my place which would take another 40 minutes - 1 hour. I will not recommend this moving company to any one.

I had them move me in Sept 18, suppose to store in Atlanta, Miami was where it ended up.started out as $7,000. ended up as over $11,000, truck was too small, had to rent a Uhaul, Storage was over $900. a month. Had it delivered to Storage company here, Expressly stated NO TRUCK LARGER THAN 40Ft. 55Ft tractor trailer, $600. more to rent a smaller uhaul to move to storage bend. Got it move into new home in July 19, gun safe handles broken off, scaring and dents, Dropped I am sure inside a disarray. 25cuft chest freezer top crushed in as well as motor plating, all legs broken off nice Wooden Secretary desk, family keepsake table smashed, Classic oriental screen torn, items taken from desks drawls were just DUMPED into boxes 4ft tall, weights from Gym Pack system stacked on top of plastic cases from sewing room (broken) Box full of PERSONAL PAPERS / Military as well College certificate for a Ms. Killian Worthy from Key West to Ft. Gordon, Table top for a Ms. Julie Stiles from FF,Fl to Green,SC. If you know either of these people ask them to go to Robert Francis Hyatt on face book. But whatever you do Don't use this company! Whit out Great Insurance Plan.
