Hmm, lets see here. 5 hours late on the pick up, both people get out of the truck REEKING of weed (marijuana). Both men ask me individually for tips, one of them even says "since work is giving you some money for this move, ill just charge you materials so we can get tips". He picked up my knife, opened it up and looked at it.. and I still cannot find it.. On drop off, ONLY ONE PERSON arrives 4 hours late, and says "so, you are going to help me move your stuff into your apartment, right?" When moving all of the items into the apartment, I asked to see the list (of items moved) and he says "why would you need to see this list? is there something you don't recognize?" After he RELUCTANTLY got the list for my review, I noticed that there was no guitar, which he replied "i hope it is on the truck.." and it took him over 5 minutes to get (it was hiding in the back, hoping I would forget about it?) During payment, he asked if I "knew any weed dealers in the area".
Absolutely inexcusable to pay a moving company to then have to move myself and put up with this crap. I have tried to contact their management for a month now, and they area blatantly ignoring me and not getting back to me. I would NOT recommend this moving company to anyone.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2255

Tldr: The moving company is either a scam or utterly incompetent and it seems like there is zero communication between their sales, customer service, and dispatch teams. They never showed up for pickup and already took my deposit.

The moving company was supposed to come on 7/17 Friday at 8:00am. The movers failed to show up and I called customer service repeatedly, who only responded at 10:00am that their dispatch doesn't open until 11:00am and would give me a call back, but never did. I also tried calling my sales rep David, who has not picked up his phone or called me back since the date of the pickup. I got through once in the call and some other guy picked up and immediately hung up and it went straight back to David's voice mail which is highly suspicious. I kept trying to call them and was only able to reach them again on 7/21 Tuesday, in which the customer service rep Stephanie promised that she would check with her operations manager about the issue with dispatch having to reschedule and give me a call back. Again, I never got the call back, and got in touch with Kerry, another customer service rep, on 7/22 Wednesday, who also promised he would follow up and give me a call. Now it is 7/24 Friday and the moving company is still not responding to calls after I've been on hold for an hour and I highly suspect fraud. It is absolutely unacceptable for the movers to never show up and their team to not give me any concrete dates since I have had to buy many items temporarily to even have something to sleep on (and now I am unable to return my air mattress to Target because they don't allow returns on opened air mattresses), among many other items. I already gave them the benefit of the doubt throughout the whole week as their customer service team repeatedly promised to call me back to update but they never did and I am out of patience. I paid 442.20 for the initial deposit which I hope can be claimed or refunded in some way. This behavior from the company is absolutely unacceptable, please be careful when dealing with this company as they have had a large load of recent complaints and most of their positive reviews seem to copy the same format.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1340

Road Runner passed my daughter's move onto another company. When they showed up that company loaded the truck and doubled the price. When she contacted RR no one returned her call or the several emails she sent relaying the difficulties she was having. The reason she selected the company was that the sales guy was helpful and responsive but this changed when they brokered it to another company. The complete lack of concern and follow up is unforgivable and consumers should be ware of this company. It took over a month to receive her goods and the dining room glass table top was broken, coffee table and end tables were missing and the truck turned out to be another mover! That means the good were loaded and unloaded several times.

Also, pay with a money order and not cash. The driver counted the money and told her she was short $200.00. They were not wearing masks so my daughter did not stay close to them while they were counting the money. Certainly she learned a big lesson and paid with a money order when the goods were finally delivered. The company made up the $200 difference and lower the price to move her goods but the price was $1300.00 over the original

"binding" bid. The moving company blamed it on inexperienced movers. I would recommend that any single lady have a male present for the move because I feel they took advantage of her. By the time the truck was loaded and the higher bill was presented it was dark, she had a long drive ahead of her and nowhere to stay. She was also upset because the cost of the move had been approved by her company and now that was over budget. This was an interstate move so she will place a federal fraud claim but that involves time to write and time to settle. Do yourself a favor and select a different company.

Absolutely horrible. Customer service is non existent, tried to charge me extra. Came 2 days later than promised which was a major problem because I had a flight back to NYC which I had to rebook. Picked up my late uncles belongings over a month ago, didn't hear from anyone, would call and wait on hold at least an hour to speak to someone who had no idea where my uncles stuff was. Finally got a call that they were ready to deliver, was told I'd get an email with all pertinent info, instead got an email wanting me to pay about $200 for storage with no info and yet again no one will answer the phone. Stay away, absolutely horrible service.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1900

First of all, what RoadRunner did well: they were extremely thorough in helping me calculate how much space I would need and pricing was transparent. In addition, the people who came to pick up and drop off my things were quite professional and only one item broken on an 800 mile move.

Why I can't recommend them: when I signed up for the service, I was asked if I had flexibility on the date. I explained that I did and they promised that someone would contact me that week to confirm a moving date. When that didn't happen and I pressed as it turned out I only got 24 hours notice and they had a 3-day period to come and get our stuff creating much stress.

On the other end, similar story. I asked if they were a broker, they said they were not but on moving day-when that came- a different company showed up to pick up my things and a third company came to deliver them. On the phone, Lexy quoted about four days from pick up to delivery, but in reality when they picked up the things, up to 21 days with the same 24 hour notice. As it turned out took almost two weeks and we had to do the final payment in cash.

When I read the contract, it did state that they have 30 business days from start of pick up window to delivery. They met their obligations but I cannot recommend a company which is not honest about their services.

Their customer service manager was anything but helpful. He was outright rude. I was given one price and that price almost tripled. They lost my microwave oven, toaster, coffee pot and moving dolly. They damaged my bedroom dresser and file cabinet. I spoke to them 3 days ago and was told that they would email me a claim form shortly. Nothing. Tried calling them over the past 2 days (several times) and no one answers the phone. I email them and get no reply.

Go elsewhere. These guys are a joke.

I have moved numerous times in my life and this, by far, is the WORST experience. Not even close to satisfying!

My furniture was packed in eastern Washington state on Sept. 30 for a cross country move to western North Carolina. I now sit in my completely empty newly purchased home 9-weeks later wondering where my furniture is. And I'm left wondering because in my numerous attempts to reach out to Roadrunner I've only gotten 2 responses..one by phone and one email. Both were short and sweet..your furniture is en route to the east coast!!! That was it, end of conversation. They wouldn't tell me where exactly my furniture was or when I might expect it. Only, that it was en route!!! Which is what I expected the day I left Washington for North Carolina!

On the off chance someone from Roadrunner reads this my job # is RS7397722. It would be great if you would reach out to me and give me an update..like that's going to happen!!

Bottom line..I would AVOID ROADRUNNER like the PLAGUE!!! I only gave them a 1-star review because I can't give them a NEGATIVE-10.

As week-9 of waiting in an empty house approaches week-10 I can only hope for a Christmas surprise!! Which, of course, would end a 4-month ordeal of never answered phone calls and emails.

Do not use this company. They quoted me a price for long distance moving, in which Rachel informed me they will be using their own truck. Instead I was robbed. I paid a deposit of almost $700 dollars, on day of pick up I was contacted by a trucker who quoted me a different amount to move my stuff. I refused as this was not the agreement. I have been trying to get in contact with someone at Roadrunner since.....and to this day!

This had been 2 months now. I was supposed to be moved Halloween weekend, it’s now almost the end of December and still no contact fromRoadrunner or Rachel.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2100

Furniture pickup was supposed to be split between two delivery locations. All pieces sent to one of the locations along with property from a third party. Some damaged.

When we told the driver the third party property did not belong to us, he said too bad and left it on the driveway exposed to the elements. When we contacted the owner of the property he told us it been missing for six months. Called Roadrunner many, many times with no call back. Short story: these guys use random contractors, take no responsibility and do, not, care about customer service. Oh and by the way they also use a third party for claims. Don't make the same mistake I did. This "company" is barely a bookie.

The company showed up 24 hours before they scheduled, then wanted to charge us double the original estimate.

Then after they missed the 10 day promised delivery date, they could not promise when our items be delivered

It is so irresponsible that your company would notify us on Friday, 12/18 at 3:56 pm that they are delivering our items on Sunday, 12/20. We were told they would notify us when they left CA so we would have 4-5 days notice. Now they want to charge us $600+ additional for redelivery.

This have been the most unsatisfactory and unprofessional experience I have ever had with a company. I have moved many times and this is the worst!

I will make sure as people as possible know so they do not have to go through the stress and trouble you have caused us.

I wish it could be great review but not I'm really disappointed whit these company is worth nothing how you explain these they didn't deliver my stuff at my house I had to drive 98 miles. To go get my stuff because the driver dint feel comfortable driver that's not my problem he should not got it the job at first and I still had to paid the delivery fees wow you guys are a rip off some people make sure you never used these company for nothing read the comments before everything is true here really disappointed whit these plus I had to rent a truck to go get my stuff wow hopefully nothing gets broked

After messing up our paperwork with the wrong moving date, I informed our POC that the move date was incorrect. They assured me over and over that this would not be a problem. They called 4 days before the move to tell me our date would be fine. They called the day before the move date and said they would be at our house in a few hours to move! I cancelled. They then would not refund me my deposit as they have a 5 day cancelation policy. On top of that, we were informed by the movers on the phone on the move day that we would not have our stuff dropped off on the same day that it was picked up, but 3-5 days later! We called another company, and they moved us the next day, dropped off the same day, and did it all cheaper anyway. Stay away from these fraudsters.

Used Road Runner Moving to move my mom from Florida to Pennsylvania. Pick-up was uneventful exept for the increase in cost due to the quote saying we could place items in drawers and pick up people saying no. Increase of 1,200.00. Delivery to PA only had the driver who smelled of body odor. One person unloading a tractor trailer filled. Multiple items damaged and they settled with me for $55.00, yes $55.00. Had a dresser, nightstand, table, chair and statue damaged and I got $55.00 navoid this company at all costs!! TERRIBLE!!!

Where shall we start? I got a quote to ship two vehicles from Long Island to Pennsylvania. The quote was lower compared to the others. Not much to raise a red flag. That should have been my first clue. I tried to schedule a pickup and was told it was a 2 day window. Tuesday and Wednesday it is. I was never called to set a time. I called and left close to 15 messages asking for a call back to set up a time. I only got someone on the phone when I called acting like a new customer. When finally called back, my Tuesday and Wednesday was long gone and I was told Thursday between 5 and 6 PM. Not a problem as I had friends that had the blank money order for the driver. Yes, blank as they didn't have a driver assigned for the job. I finally get my cars picked up at 915PM. Yes, that late. I was still reassured my delivery would be Friday. I am typing this at 9:29 PM and no cars. I talked to the driver and found out that he was only contracted to do the job at 8:30 PM Thursday night and was told it was a delivery for Saturday. Thankfully the driver called me directly and explained to me what happened. He cannot get me my cars tonight as I was promised but will have them here first thing in the morning. He also got screwed in this deal. I will leave a review for him and his company on their link and I don't want to mention their name here to sadly have them be associated with this horror show of a company.

I am still awaiting for my refund from my vehicle and transport. I arranged my vehicle to be transported to Atlanta, GA back on February 18, no one showed. I have called and email several times but they have told me that the refund was already sent to the billing department for processing. This was on 3/15 and was told that it should be done anytime this week which was 2 weeks ago. Would like this resolved since your company failed to meet the deadline of the transportation.

If I could I'd give them a 0. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This was one of the worst moving experiences of my life. They were hard to get in contact with, changed the date of my pick up 3 times, assured me they'd do what they referred to as a "live load" so my stuff would be expedited and promised 3-5 days. But once 3 days rolled around and I tried to reach out they screened all of my calls and texts then eventually brokered my move to some random company if it was even an actual company, because I still haven't heard from them since they picked up my stuff. There were broken items and damaged things with stains. Thinking they may try to pull something with price, they tried to say I owed more because they only recorded the amount I paid at pick up not the deposits. Thankfully I saved everything and had proof. Save yourself the hassle as all moving companies are sketchy and just sell anything you can fit in a uhaul van or your car

This is the 2nd time I have used them and honestly the first time went pretty well so we called them again. It. started out OK because we knew what to expect and I don't blame them for not getting the exact move amount if your just walking through the move items over the phone but expect when they come out it will cost you more than the quote. However what went wrong is just before the move we got a call from the 3rd party mover they contracted with saying we needed to pay our next deposit to lock down the actual date, they called Saturday afternoon before the week we need to move. We paid them 1800 plus dollars and they said they would be here Tuesday for the pickup. When Tuesday came and went we called them back and they said they never got the money and asked me to send again. This time I called RR moving and they started asking me who I paid because they didn't show it either. In the meantime we got an email from RR moving that Greater Purpose moving would be our moving company and we would owe them the balance. After many calls to RR it was discovered that their system was breached and several people got these calls and paid a fraudalent company. At this point we were going to close on our house and had to move out before Friday. RR said they would send their own guys out and we would work out the payment made to the Fraudalent company but they started hinting that it really wasn't their fault they got hacked but they would do what they could to help us get our money back. Right! So they did show up, loaded up our items and then asked for that same deposit we had already paid. Essentially then they had us because all our items were already loaded up. I talked to the owner or GM again and he basically said sorry, it was our fault we paid the wrong company but we paid Greater Purpose moving, the very company they said would be there to move us. How would we know some company breached them and pretended to be them. So our only recourse was to dispute the amount we paid on our CC. But they declined this telling the CC company they executed the move, they lied about the breach and some other things as they claimed they asked us for the details of the payment and we never supplied them but we had records of doing this. So essentially our 5K move costs us 7K. Did they do the move, finally yes. But this company is awful and I would suggest just finding someone else to move you.

Moved from Florida to Michigan. Items picked up may 25, 2021. Was promised delivery date of June 1,2021. Almost 4 weeks later and still no delivery. I have sent an email every other day and no response. I have called 2 to 3 times a week. And can not get any answers. When I do talk to someone they can not give me any info except our stuff is in storage. I did not pay for my stuff to be in storage. We need our clothes and belongings. Tired of wearing the same clothes. Last week I was told our stuff was loaded on a truck and would receive a call the next day to schedule delivery. As usual. NO CALL. When I call customer service I am on hold 2 to 3 hours then get hung up on. HOW DO I GET THRU TO THEM. Our booking agent PETER P. Is not helpful at all. He does not return calls or emails. They have over $1000 of our money and we do not have our belongings. Do I need to get attorney involved.
