If zero star was an option, they earned it. Scummy sales tactics. Ridiculous cancellation policy. Was told I could cancel by today - turns out that was a complete lie. This company appears great and friendly at first, but once they get your money they turn into a literal pieces of shit. Worst business experience I’ve ever had. If you’re like me, you come to the reviews before committing to a moving company. I did that this time; told the salesperson I didn’t like the shitty reviews I read, he assured me the ratio of good reviews far exceeded the bad reviews (he completely lied on multiple occasions). Shady people running these types of businesses. If I were you, I would literally book ANY other company to handle this for you. Even a toddler could run a business better. Sad to see crappy people and businesses taking advantage of the average consumer. Shallow people, even shallower business model. Go elsewhere and save stress, time, money, and your own personal pride. This place sucks. Don’t try it.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $750

I didn’t know this company farmed out the move to the cheapest bidder or I wouldn’t have used them. They hired Easy Movers from the Chicago area who damaged or lost over $5,000 of my property. The worst is they lost an artwork box with a painting my deceased mother did. When I contacted Relocation Nation they said my only recourse was with Easy Movers. I didn’t hire Easy Movers, I hired Relocation Nation. I’ve gotten nothing from Easy Movers and nothing from Relocation Nation. Neither company has made any effort to recover my missing property. You’re much better off hiring a known, reputable moving company. Sure wish I had!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4000

In early July, we contacted Relocation Nation about a long move to another state. We spoke to Jordan McDonald. Jordan, was very nice on the phone, did an inventory and he gave us a quote that was a good bit less than other movers. One thing he did not tell us, and we did not realize, is that this is not a moving company, it is a broker. Their website states that they are “a fully licensed, bonded and insured moving company.” Jordan was not clear about that on the phone and spoke as if his company were doing the moving. We were told to call when a firm date for leaving had been made and they would put together the specifics to have the furniture picked up and delivered. Again, at this point, we were not told that the actual move would be done by another company or companies, as it was long distance. This move was for a job and the new employer had to know the date that we would arrive. When we contacted Jordan about scheduling, he began to backtrack on the information previously given. His demeanor changed and he was rude. At this point, we were given a five day window for pick up and were NOW informed that a company called Carefree Movers would be doing the actual move. When Carefree Movers arrived to load the furniture, they were surprised to see that we were on the third floor of an apartment building, even though that had been communicated to Jordan when the original inventory and arrangements were made. They suddenly needed more money to go up and down stairs. At this point, there’s no option other than to pay more. The young men who were loading had to call to ask about loading a small – SMALL – piece of furniture that was not on the inventory. They spent four hours trying to contact someone about adding this one item, all the while doing nothing because they had not been given permission. At the end of this four hours – which no doubt held up other pickups – they loaded the furniture – for an additional charge. The movers – none of whom spoke English – were unable to communicate a date or even a time frame when it would arrive at the destination, but it would be at least two weeks. This length of time was not communicated in the previous conversaions. While we knew that other loads would be picked up along the way, there was never an indication that it would be that long to receive our furniture. Again, nothing could be done, so we delayed our start for a few days. We called the day we were leaving and were told the truck had not left our city yet. Drove across country and arrived four days later and called – truck had not left it’s origin city yet. At this point, getting through to Relocation Nation was next to impossible and when we did speak to Jordan and another young lady who works there, they were rude and openly hostile. Then they just stopped answering the calls at all. When the furniture finally arrived a week after we did, the movers called with an ETA and were surprised to hear that they would be unloading into an apartment and had to go upstairs. Even though that had been communicated with Jordan when the contract was negotiated. Additional charge. At this point, you just want this nightmare to end and these people to get out of your life. The movers arrived, having left one piece of furniture in the origin city and with another piece broken. A piece of furniture that had belonged to a deceased family member and was a special item. The original quote ended up being $1K less than what was actually paid at delivery. And the payments to the movers have to be cash, they won’t take credit cards or debit cards. Moving is hard enough, using this “service” makes it an actual nightmare. Save yourself the misery of Relocation Nation and use a reputable moving company and pay a little more, you’ll be glad you did. Lesson learned. Avoid Relocation Nation at all costs. Carefree Movers aren’t so great, either.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3500

DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT PAY SECURITY DEPOSIT. They will not show up on committed dates and they will not return security deposit. also, week before Quality person will ask for more deposit money. If you don't pay, they will threaten to cancel your move a week before and not return initial deposit money, so you feel like you don't have a choice to pay more deposit and then still they will not show up on committed dates. We paid more than $2800 deposit. and move ourselves using UHaul from Wisconsin to Arkansas in July. Also, Attorney will not take your case, due to their contract language.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2800

We paid Relocation to move us from Texas to California. It was a nightmare. We didn't receive our furniture and household goods for for nearly 7 weeks. We would call for updates and be given the run around, or a bad attitude. They outsourced part of our move(which we didn't know was going to happen). When we did finally receive our stuff, one could tell it hadn't been handled with care. Boxes broken and bent. Horrible experience. Suggest you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

My wife and I found out we needed to move to Florida with about a five day notice. We found RELOCATION Nation website and contacted them. We dealt with Michael Deluca one of their representatives….He explained to us how because of the short notice our move would not be cheap ( not exactly what you want to hear but it was expected). Then Michael put together our list of inventory asked us many questions about the items so that he could get a good idea of the size I guess. We came to an agreement on price and their crew was at our door in 72 hours…… They took great care of our belongings and we had our delivery in Florida all the way from Pittsburgh, Pa in less than 4 days….I strongly recommend this company and if you call ask for Michael Deluca. Thanks guys for listening

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4800

The movers took great care of all my personal items, showed up on time and were very easy to work with and helpful. There was no damage done to either house or to any furniture. Will definitely recommend to anyone moving, it takes so much stress off knowing all your belongings are being transported safely and effectively!

Again. I want to thank relocation nation moving and storage for the awesome communication and execution. I would highly recommend this company to my family and friends

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $10000

I paid this broker a deposit of $1,466 for a long distance move and after reading all the bad reviews cancelled the move within 24 hours. The Contracts states you can cancel within 48 hours and get your money back minus their "10% processing fees". After I cancelled the move they have ignored all my many requests for them to answer how and when my refund will be issued. I have received no response of any kind. The broker was completely rude and unprofessional about my cancellation.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2963

Crews were great and very friendly. That said, I felt lied to on price as I was originally quoted a number and then it went up $2700. This was a move for a 1 bedroom apartment. First off, with the original quote the saleswoman was so pushy she wouldn't let me get off the phone without telling me that price went away if I got other quotes, and she told me the price would not go up based on the amount of stuff I was moving. Then I get a call a few days later to confirm what I was moving and all of a sudden it was $1800 more than I was told, and once again I was told we were overestimating so the price did not go any higher. They today they get here and as luck would have it, the guy on the phone underestimated and it was $1100 more than anticipated. All this to say, be careful of calling Budget Van Lines or Relocation Nation when it comes to moves. The crew was great, but the price is a mystery till they actually pick up.

The salesperson lied to me to get me to choose their company over others, and then they ran a bait and switch after it was too late for me to back out or choose another company. I'm moving from Brooklyn to Denver, and the salesperson promised me that my stuff would be stored in Denver, so it could be delivered to my eventual destination within 2 days, once I find an apartment there. But then 4 days before my move, they called and told me my stuff would be stored in the tri-state area and would take up to 14 days to be delivered to Denver. (But what if I find an apartment with a move in date only a few days away?) The only reason I chose this company over other better quotes was that they promised storage near my destination and a 2-day turnaround to deliver to my selected address, and now it's too late to go with a better option that would have saved me hundreds of dollars. The customer service manager who heard my complaint refused to honor the salesperson's promise and refused to do anything to make the situation right. She told me that she has the authority to give a discount but that a discount "was not available" for my situation. She seemed unsurprised that the salesperson had lied to me to get me to sign up with them and was unwilling to do anything to remedy it.

Are you interested in lies, deceit, miscommunication, missing & damaged furniture? If so, this is the company for you! Anthony was my moving specialist. He claimed to be high up in the company and provided so much misinformation, it was too late to do anything when our furniture was already loaded on the truck. We were assessed an additional $1000 on pickup when our items fit in the truck. We were told that as long as they fit, our quote was solid and we wouldn’t pay any additional. This was on a supposed recorded line mind you.

I was promised a credit of $300 that would go back to my credit card for misquoting the storage cost. Any time I ask about it over the phone or via email, it’s ignored. When it was delivered with less than 24 hours notice at our destination, we have missing items and a good majority of our items were broken. All of our bedroom furniture was less than 6 months old and our paperwork shows “No Damage”. Well now, our items look years old. It was a disappointing experience and I would hope no one ever has to go through what we did.

BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS! Called and spoke to a representative from this company named Shawn Williams and received a quote for moving. Stated I needed to sign and pay deposit to hold price. Was told there was a 48 hour cancellation policy. Signed and paid $1700 deposit but tried to cancel 5 MINUTES later. Their cancelation policy states that they have a 48 hour cancelation policy, but where they scam you is the sentence that states that if they assign a moving company within that 48 hours it is considered "services rendered" and you lose on deposit if you try and cancel. When I tried to cancel 5 MINUTES after paying deposit they said that they had already assigned my move to a mover and therefore I was unable to get my money back. How TF you assign a carrier in 5 minutes? When I asked for proof of this assignment (because they did not notify me that the move had been assigned) they gave me a company name and customer service number. I called this number and they did not have any information on me or my move. When I called back to customer service at Relocation Nation, they said "they had a signature and everything" of the assignment to this company but would not email me proof of said signature/assignment. I am now out $1700 and they have no remorse for what they are doing to people.

Unfortunately, I decided to go with this company to move across country from Las Vegas to Houston. During the scheduling and collection of my initial deposit, I was completely lied to by Brandon Johnson. I was not informed that the company was a broker for other moving companies. Through the process I was assigned two different companies who did not abide by the terms and conditions of my initial contract with Relocation Nation. First, Brandon based my quote off of the wrong square footage even after I provided the inventory list of my item. Because of that the first company sent to me requested an additional payment of $1000 when they arrived for pick up (after arriving 4 hours after the scheduled time). The first company was Familiar Movers out of Las Vegas. When I tried to call Relocation Nation and Brandon to tell them what was going on I received NO ANSWERED. After being bullied by the first company, they left without picking up my items. When I got ahold of Relocation Nation the next day, Brandon did not want to talk and I sent around the company to get rescheduled through the second company, Alpha Moving Services LLC. This company also sent someone who was 3-4 hours late. Once my items got back to their warehouse I was told that it could take 30 BUSINESS DAYS to deliver my items, even though I requested an immediate delivery. This company stated that I should've selected "Expedited Shipping" at the time of pick up and it would have cost an additional $3000. They continued to say hat they did not know when my items would be delivered because they did not have a driver or a crew. I told them I was willing to forfeit all the money I had paid (deposit to Relocation Nation and the pick up fee) to travel back and pick up my items to drive them across country myself. Miraculously, I received a call from them over the weekend saying my items would depart the next day to be delivered within 3-5 days. I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY ITEMS!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2050

Buyer Beware. If you cancel after 48 hours, this company does not reimburse your down payment even though a bill of lading was not signed, you have a floating date until confirmed and the service is 3-4 months out. So they got $640 to do nothing other than make a reservation. I looked at the reviews after the fact (mistake) and they had 52 complaints in a short period of time. I did not want to use a company with a bad reputation. I could understand no reimbursement if I cancelled 15-30 days before the service date because of planning, but 3 months and no providers assigned is just a way for this business to take your money. Hence all the complaints. Use a reliable and reputable moving company.

Do not hire this company. They are scammers. I hired this company to move me. They quoted me a price of $2,990. A few days before my move They jacked up the price to $5,700. I Paid a deposit back in November of $1197.43. I was told I could get a refund at anytime. Well guess what the scammers won't refund my money. Do not hire this company. We should all get together and sue this company. I have hired an attorney and I've been in touch with the Better Business Bureau.

DO NOT USE!!!On March 16 I contacted Relocation Nation and gave them the items that I needed moved from NY to Tampa FL, I was quoted $1958.56 dollars and was required to pay an 825.00 dollars deposit to secure the move. I gave them my debit number and somehow, they created a FAKE Navy Federal Credit Union Check and got the deposit that way, not through my debit card. The move date was going to be 4/12 or 4/13. I originally told the company Items, 17 Pieces Items 1 ARMOIRE, LARGE 1 ART WORK LARGE 5 BOX, MED. PBO Qty Items 6 CHAIR, DINING 1 DINING TABLE Qty Items 2 TABLE, COFFEE 1 WINE RACK, SMALL However, on the day of the move I realized I had LESS items than originally stated. I had everything except it was only 2 boxes (not 5) and 1 coffee table (not 2) When the movers came, the FIRST words out of his mouth were "Oh no this is not a minimal move like they told me." I need to call my boss- The next thing I know they want another $1,000 dollars from me, FOR A SMALLER MOVE THAN ORIGIANALLY QUOTED!!! I said this was BS and the driver got in his truck and left. I contacted Relocation Nation and was told by the women on the phone that my case was closed, and that accounting will get back to me regarding $825.00 dollar deposit back. I was told the accounting department only communicates through email and I could not speak to anyone directly. I have called the man named Anthony who quoted me, his number is no longer in service. I have reached out and left messages for a man named Scott, who called me twice to confirm the move and the items. I have emailed and called customer service 3 times. NO ONE GETS BACK TO ME, AND THEY HAVE NOT REFUNDED MY 825 DOLLARS - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
