Why bother?

Items came with others people stuff in ours, too many broken and missing items and only 2 guys to unload a 4bdr 3bath house. Was the worst experience ever. Oh the guy who drove the truck couldn't wait to throw politics in while talking to the wrong affiliation, don't talk politics to ppl you don't know.

Unhappy and dissatisfied

The original conversations are helpful and positive but as soon as they pick up your items (Poorly) with many problems and attitudes from the driver, Relocation Nation staff is Missing in Action. All of the phone numbers that you have been contacted by are all going to voice mail with no response back. Very poor customer service. My quote was doubled the original price even though I gave them exact items and measurements. The moving company states that it is only an estimate and not a price! WHO KNEW!!!!

So I have to believe they undercount square footage in order to get your business and then you are stuck with your items on the truck and the movers give you their great news, BAD news for us.(Double the quote) With the attitude if we didn't like it, He will put all of my items in the Storage Place Parking Lot at 11 pm at night. NICE.

I personally would never recommend this outfit because of the unprofessional and terrible service. Do your homework and don't rely on reviews alone (obviously not real). Check BBB. My next stop to put my complaint on this company.

Terrible Movers

Relocation Nation connected us with movers who came a day late, charged us extra money when they showed up, required us to help them move items at delivery, completely lost one of our boxes, and refused to communicate with us about the loss. We assumed that as brokers, Relocation Nation vetted the movers they work with and hired reputable companies. If you want certainty that you will have professional movers, use a different broker.

Worst experience of my life

Horrible experience! Do not use this company. I scheduled a move out of state. Moving day arrive no shows. The truck allegedly got a flat. On the third rescheduled date. 1 mover showed up I was confused since I had large items scheduled to move. He didn’t bring wardrobe boxes I paid for and said all the large items Weren’t on the list. He could take them for $500 additional. I called the company she said sometimes that happens $500 is not a big deal to pay. I asked for a refund of course the deposit is non refundable but she would see what she could do about the wardrobe boxes I paid for. Now I’m out $750. This company needs to be held accountable for giving false quotes. They even called me the day before to confirm the items I was moving. How does this happen ? I want answers and a refund! They did not hold up their end of the agreement.

Long-distance move from Portland, OR to Newton, MA

Unprofessional scamming brokers

Horrible people. They will do anything to get your deposit and move on. I was passed off to Schwino Transport who barely looked at my boxes and decided my things took up much more space than quoted and gave a number that made no sense given the square footage of my apartment.

I'm a small young woman. The man they sent was large,

intimidating, and posturing on me. He yelled at my 70 year old mother for not having cash on hand or using apps to transfer the cash we did not have because I had confirmed my amount with Relocation Nation the day before. He also threatened to leave several times rather than discuss the issue. Eventually I gave in because my apartment had been rented and I needed to be out.

I told the mover multiple times to leave my couch because it had been sold and he took it, very clearly to fill the space he made up that I had. He also left the only item I had paid for packing for. I was not reimbursed for my couch nor the packing materials that were not used.

After much back and forth with Schwino Transport in which I needed to threaten legal action ST reduced my price by $450.

I worked with Olivia Reese and contacted her multiple times about this issue and she did absolutely nothing. She was dismissive and rude. It took her 10 days to respond to my request for Relocation Nation's corporate information, and I was given a 1800 number.

Don't use them!

All did well

Alex was an excellent resource during our move. The video review of our contents went smoothly, and Alex's experience helped guide us to a smooth cross-country move. We had several questions after the original video, and he answered our calls quickly and comprehensively. He made the very stressful move across the country a much less stressful event.

Terrible customer service

I asked for a moving quote and spoke to Brandon Michaels. He acted like he was doing me a favor. I wanted to compare quotes like any person would do, but was met with pushy sales tactics and threats of last truck, blah blah blah. I went with a company whose rep was professional, courteous and didn't push at all. These qualities still matter! Considering, I might be helping to pay your salary, do you actually think I'm going to do business with someone who calls me a liar? Train your employees if you want to stay in business.

Long-distance move from Illinois to Washington DC

The worst!

Relocation Nation is the worst moving company ever. First they promised me they did not subcontract to other movers. They do. A U-Haul truck pulled up two days after the promised pick up date. I had to beg and plead for the subcontracted unprofessional Movers to show up, as my home was sold and had closed on it the day before. Now here I sit in my new home, waiting for them to deliver all of my possessions, and they say it will take 21 days. I was promised 5 to 7 business days after my move-in date. This is a scam. The Better Business Bureau should shut this company down.

Holds Goods Hostage while doubling there rates

I moved from MA to IN. On 7/18 I spoke with a sales rep. I made a deposit. On 7/22 a logistics person called me and raised the quote and asked for an additional deposit. On 7/23 a truck from Luxury Van Lines pulls up and loads my goods. Then they raise the rate due at pickup and delivery. At delivery I pay the amount and then they try to raise it more because of "long carry", greater than 200 ft from the truck. From the beginning they did not follow their own contract and continually re-wrote the contract after they had possession of my goods. When I called the company, no one answered. There are multiple reviews just like this one. I suspect the good reviews are fake!

Stop Now, Book somewhere else

I like so many others have the same issues with Relocation Nation, My belongings were picked up on June 29th and it's Aug 7th and I have yet to receive them. They booked a subcontractor that was without license or authority to hire back in May. They keep telling me that they have documentation to show the company is licensed and yes they are now, At 1st they told me it was a sister company and the sister company was Tacoma Movers, This is not accurate as the company was always Tacoma Movers. I was not privi to the company they chose as everything about them says they are the moving company not an agent, They let you know that they sub contract your move in the welcome letter / Cancellation policy *After you sign.

The company they chose on my behalf, Had only applied for their license 5 days prior on May 2nd, with 1 truck and 1 driver.

This company was based out of Washington my pick up in Kansas and drop off in FL, this company was not capable of handling my move nor at the time with authority.

The sales rep PROMISED that securing my Tvs and wrapping up my breakable was in the fee and that I could be charged NO MORE He even pointed it out in the contract, On Inventory day they tried to charge me an extra 2000, I had to remove items from my original inventory along with items I added at booking that I was promised were placed in inventory, to only pay an extra 538. And at 4$ per Sq Ft I only received an extra 20 Sq ft for 538.

Then on Moving day Tacoma Movers shows up and states that they need an additional 2200 to take my belongings as Relocation Nation did not account for the Sq ft that the boxes of TVs and other items costs. They completely undershot my bid and on moving day I had to leave more items. Then the movers Refused to take items they initially agreed to take. I lost items I'll never be able to replace had to leave them in the trash.

I was assured the timeline was 5-14 Days by Relocation Nation even after my load was picked up. On moving day I was assured in the contract I was forced to sign that it was 14 Business days. NO THEY HIDE 30 BUSINESS DAYS in the contract. When I asked what if I didn't sign the 2nd contract I was told they wouldn't be able to deliver my belongings after I had already paid and was 90% Loaded, my monies and items would be held until I did sign.

THEY LIED about the insurance - Sales rep internationally left out .60c per LB. Only said up to 10,000 Per item. I was under the impression that this was accurate as Movers said the same. I was not allowed to see my weight they placed in a "estimated wt" and if they fail to deliver I'll only get .60c per lb of their estimate.

I am not provided with Updates, Unless I call ALOT, and leave messages, Send Formal grievances only to be told that I signed the Contract. The company that was contacted keeps disconnecting their phone numbers and my update has always been the same, Waiting on a route They made themselves out to be the best in the business, The moment you sign they lie, Hang up on you, Yell at you, and absolutely do not care about your move, Concerns or belongings. My advice like so many others, Go somewhere else.

I was screwed and charged double.

After giving my deposit to RELOCATION NATION, every conversation there after, I was asked for more money. The sizes of my furniture and the amount to ship, never changed from the first conversation.

When the mover showed up, it was a sub contracted company. He looked over the contents and decided that I would have to pay an additional $3000. He knew he had me over a barrel. I was moving my 80 year old mother and they took advantage.

AVOID RELOCATION NATION!!!!!

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Total Bait and switch. Ended up costing up almost double from the initial quote. It took 30 days for our stuff to arrive and when it did it every box was smashed (even the plastic bins) and every piece of furniture was damaged. They over charged us big time and then said we had to pay an additional 1300.00 to shuttle our furniture because an 18-wheeler would be able to unload on our street. (?). The lack of communication was extremely irritating and stressful. I hope I can save another family from going through something like this. If I had it to do over, I would have gone with a reputable moving company. This company does not care about your possessions. It was brokered out to R&M Transporters and there isn't enough room to write what I think about them.

Avoid For Peace Of Mind

Scammers and Fraudulent. Use a different company. This is how the game works with these trash companies. Sale rep(Theodore Green) lies, undervalue your possessions, on everything being moved, when movers/brokers arrived, they oversell and measure everything by cubic ft, go from 2k request from sales rep to make sale to 7k at the day of move , now you’re stuck, you have to go with them or you lose your refund. Movers decides to leave and now my initial payment of $923.23 gone. Non refundable. Accounting department does not talk to customers on the phone, only by email, takes them several days to reply. Will be filing a police report soon!

Tripled my price

The movers came and told us we had to repack everything and then tripled the price. We had asked the company specific questions on how we should pack and the company had approved how we had packed before hand. Now the company is trying to steal $4,000+ from us because we had to cancel our move because of all the misinformation relocation nation moving gave us and the extremely inaccurate quote they gave us. There seems to be no communication between relocation nation and the movers they higher. The movers also requested money from us when everything was supposed to be handled through relocation nation. If you are looking at using this company, save yourself some time and money and call the companies directly for your move because all they do is outsource to other companies anyways. Just to reidierate: Relocation Nation Moving is horrible at communication and giving you the accurate and correct information you need for your move and to prepare for your move. Then they will keep all the money they tricked you into spending with them because they will triple the price on you when the movers are there to pick up your stuff and force you to cancel because of their horrible communication.

Brokerage for movers

They were awful to deal with. The labors were fantastic and worked hard to get me moved. Relocation was rude over the phone, didn’t listen to me when I said I needed a bigger truck. This incurred 2 trips which lead to more hours of labor and more money out of my pocket. They used profanity on the phone. Very unprofessional and when I asked to speak with the CEO, I was told that he was the CEO and then he hung up on me. Do not deal with this so called company. Not worth the hassle or the money.

Furniture still not delivered 8/22 - 9/4

My husband and I hired Relocation Nation to pick up our furniture from New Orleans to deliver it to us in Maryland on August 22. We paid the delivery driver via Zelle his name was Andres Laca. We we’re given the price of $674.50 initially then it quickly rose to another $237.50 (supposedly based on the square ft of the furniture.) We we’re told we would get our furniture in 4 days. When the four days passed we called to find out when it would be delivered and was told two more days or by the end of the week (of the four days). We still had not received our furniture by that time. We called after seven days and was told the driver went to Baltimore, MD and missed our city all together and was headed to NY. We we’re assured our furniture would be delivered on their way back from NY. It was not!!!! From pickup Aug 22 - today Sept 4, we do NOT have our furniture. Every time we call they tell us a different story, however no one is offering us a refund or telling us anything they can do besides telling us lies about new dates of when we would have our furniture. We believe we we’re scammed and intend to seek additional recourse.

I BEG you please Don’t use this company let’s put them out of business. We will report them under their DOT number. I hope this review will get us our furniture. Otherwise we’re out of the money we paid for the furniture and the exorbitant delivery fees. We’ll be sure to do better research of delivery companies next time.

Move from Las Vegas to Chicago

Frustrating. First, it took the movers (Superior Van Lines) five weeks to deliver our goods. Secondly, our contract with Relocation Nation stated that the movers were to reassemble the furniture they disassembled when packing up in Las Vegas. They did not, other than a bed in our bedroom. Thirdly, they used our personal dolly to move boxes into our house, and they kept it when they left. Finally, and most frustrating, several of our boxes did not make the trip to our new home. The boxes contained much of our clothing, electronics, and my stamp collection, personal momentos, not to mention several kitchen items. Also, we had a $1,000 patio table 6 ft in diameter that was not delivered. I would suggest anyone looking for a decent moving company to look elsewhere.

Beware

Never book with them they are not trust worthy.

Here is my story: I was googling to find a mover. Search results returned 2movers.com as one of the results. I called the number listed on their website, and I reached Relocation Nation Moving customer center. Not sure how my call ended up there.

During my call, they convinced me to pay $1200 and reserve the move and told me that I could cancel the reservation within the next 48 hrs for a full refund for any reason. They also made me digitally sign some documents.

Due to an unexpected reason, I had to cancel the reservation in the next 3 hours. And when I contacted, the rep told me that the accounting team would contact me and issue a full refund.

A day later, their accounting team emailed and told me they would not issue a refund because they had the carrier assigned for my move minutes after the payment was processed.

I agree it was my mistake, but a good business will never trick you nor charge you for a service they did not do.

Zero star treatment.

If zero star was an option, they earned it. Scummy sales tactics. Ridiculous cancellation policy. Was told I could cancel by today - turns out that was a complete lie. This company appears great and friendly at first, but once they get your money they turn into a literal pieces of shit. Worst business experience I’ve ever had. If you’re like me, you come to the reviews before committing to a moving company. I did that this time; told the salesperson I didn’t like the shitty reviews I read, he assured me the ratio of good reviews far exceeded the bad reviews (he completely lied on multiple occasions). Shady people running these types of businesses. If I were you, I would literally book ANY other company to handle this for you. Even a toddler could run a business better. Sad to see crappy people and businesses taking advantage of the average consumer. Shallow people, even shallower business model. Go elsewhere and save stress, time, money, and your own personal pride. This place sucks. Don’t try it.

Long-distance move from Birmingham, AL to Oklahoma City, OK

AWFUL

In early July, we contacted Relocation Nation about a long move to another state. We spoke to Jordan McDonald. Jordan, was very nice on the phone, did an inventory and he gave us a quote that was a good bit less than other movers. One thing he did not tell us, and we did not realize, is that this is not a moving company, it is a broker. Their website states that they are “a fully licensed, bonded and insured moving company.” Jordan was not clear about that on the phone and spoke as if his company were doing the moving. We were told to call when a firm date for leaving had been made and they would put together the specifics to have the furniture picked up and delivered. Again, at this point, we were not told that the actual move would be done by another company or companies, as it was long distance. This move was for a job and the new employer had to know the date that we would arrive. When we contacted Jordan about scheduling, he began to backtrack on the information previously given. His demeanor changed and he was rude. At this point, we were given a five day window for pick up and were NOW informed that a company called Carefree Movers would be doing the actual move. When Carefree Movers arrived to load the furniture, they were surprised to see that we were on the third floor of an apartment building, even though that had been communicated to Jordan when the original inventory and arrangements were made. They suddenly needed more money to go up and down stairs. At this point, there’s no option other than to pay more. The young men who were loading had to call to ask about loading a small – SMALL – piece of furniture that was not on the inventory. They spent four hours trying to contact someone about adding this one item, all the while doing nothing because they had not been given permission. At the end of this four hours – which no doubt held up other pickups – they loaded the furniture – for an additional charge. The movers – none of whom spoke English – were unable to communicate a date or even a time frame when it would arrive at the destination, but it would be at least two weeks. This length of time was not communicated in the previous conversaions. While we knew that other loads would be picked up along the way, there was never an indication that it would be that long to receive our furniture. Again, nothing could be done, so we delayed our start for a few days. We called the day we were leaving and were told the truck had not left our city yet. Drove across country and arrived four days later and called – truck had not left it’s origin city yet. At this point, getting through to Relocation Nation was next to impossible and when we did speak to Jordan and another young lady who works there, they were rude and openly hostile. Then they just stopped answering the calls at all. When the furniture finally arrived a week after we did, the movers called with an ETA and were surprised to hear that they would be unloading into an apartment and had to go upstairs. Even though that had been communicated with Jordan when the contract was negotiated. Additional charge. At this point, you just want this nightmare to end and these people to get out of your life. The movers arrived, having left one piece of furniture in the origin city and with another piece broken. A piece of furniture that had belonged to a deceased family member and was a special item. The original quote ended up being $1K less than what was actually paid at delivery. And the payments to the movers have to be cash, they won’t take credit cards or debit cards. Moving is hard enough, using this “service” makes it an actual nightmare. Save yourself the misery of Relocation Nation and use a reputable moving company and pay a little more, you’ll be glad you did. Lesson learned. Avoid Relocation Nation at all costs. Carefree Movers aren’t so great, either.
