      Unethical.

      We engaged LDMovers for a move from CA OK. We thought we were in good shape since they had good reviews and worked with Vets. Boy were we wrong. The movers showed up late, loaded half of our things and said that was all they could do with out a price increase! We tried calling the broker who was conveniently not available. We had to agree to the price increase because they would not unload or finish loading until we did! First Red flag!! Our contract had a delivery date for our goods to be delivered. They were 21 days late!! 2nd RED Flag! When they arrived almost every item was damaged! And we are still missing boxes. The movers tried to leave with 1/2 of art work and Harley still in the truck, tried to get US to fill missing items claims! Final RED Flag!! The insurance company for LDMOVERS and the carrier has been nonresponsive! They basically damaged or stole everything,entrusted to their care, did not honor the contract and left us with the aftermath! Choose ANYONE ELSE!!

      AWFUL! Hard to work with, tiny payout for major damage.

      This is a garbage company, do not use under any circumstances.

      They contract your move out to multiple other companies, and then each company will find ways to nickle and dime you. During the initial quote, I read off all the things in my house, and they provided a quote. Since the list was 75+ items long, I didn't realize they had listed left off a few key things, that then elevated the price considerably.

      On delivery, they showed up in a 13 foot tall, 75 foot truck (significantly bigger than the one for pickup) and then charged me for the long carry as a result of nothing being able to get close to the front door and the driver was mad about not having a dedicated space for the truck.

      - They state the first 75 feet of carry is free, but since my stuff was in the front of the truck, the 75 free feet ran out *at the end of the truck*.

      - Multiple pieces of furniture were missing, and more was damaged. My coffee tables were smashed from the weight of things put on top of them when they stacked them in the truck. Other things were scratched and cracked, but you won't get any settlement for those since they claim they are "still usable".

      - The settlement took nearly 4 months to…

      Long Distance Movers, Inc.

      This outfit is not professional. They told me that they would do the moving themselves, reneged on their binding estimate, and changed the terms of the contract whenever they felt like it. They subcontracted with Best Price Moving and Storage, and they subcontracted with Hamsa Transport, who hired people off the street on both ends. The Best Price dispatcher told me that Long Distance Movers, Inc regularly lies to their customers. The people disassembling and packing your personal belongings are not the same people who unload the truck and feign to reassemble things on the other end. The hired street people and the subcontractors don't care what they break and they are not bonded. Long Distance Movers, Inc does not intend to reassemble your things or finish the job on the other end. Again, the subcontracted subcontractor hires homeless on the other end to unload your belongings and they are forced to abandon the job because Long Distance Movers Inc subcontracts to New Jersey thugs, Hamsa Transport, who take your cash and run.       Moving Across Country.

      Poor experience, was told move would take 10-14 days and it will take more like 21 days. This is a broker not a moving company who says they have their own trucks but a completely different trucking company showed up. The trucking company was 3 hours late and we did not know when they were coming until the night before. We were supposed to get the weight of our load the same day, had to call LDM every day for 6 days before we got the final weight and final amount of delivery fee. Since they are a broker you are paying them to coordinate your move. They do a very poor job of communicating and providing acceptable customer service. I would not recommend them.

      Scam! Zero Stars!

      It’s a shame we live in a world where honest hard-working people are taken advantage of by shady companies looking to capitalize on a situation. This racket of a company sold me on countless lies that ultimately resulted in having to pay more money, significantly delayed arrival of our shipment, and multiple damaged items requiring repair, including a 65-inch TV.

      I first spoke to a salesman by the name, COHAN, who is, no doubt, employed by this sham company for his ability to tell blatant lies and make empty promises just to get a sale. I was told, “the movers are our guys, they’re all background-checked, certified, professional movers”: LIE. Long Distance (LD) is a broker who sells you a product under the guise of “affordable”, “quality”, and “personalized” service, then contracts that service out to an actual moving company, in our case, OCEAN MOVING AND STORAGE, to pick up and deliver your items. You sign a contract with LD initially and pay them a deposit; the amount of the deposit is calculated based on a percentage of the total estimate or quote, which is in turn based on weight or cubic footage of the inventory being shipped.       I still haven't received my Stuff.

      I requested delivery of my house hold goods on the 5th of June it is now the 24th of July and I still do not have a single item of mine. Long Distance Movers is just a broker company meaning they book your move but then give it to another company. You then have to deal with some random company that gets your move. I have moved all over the United states for work. This by far is the worst move I have ever made. I am glad that my company has black listed this moving company and will no longer pay for there employees to use this company.

      Cheat and Irresponsible.

      They are just brokers who hire the worst sub contractors for the move. Do not consider them as your LAST OPTION too!! Its a company run by cheaters and liars of the highest order. They lost our costliest box containing XBOX and other gadgets and the collection of our favorite books. We were worried about the movement of these items and the helper guys kept reassuring us that it will be fine but eventually they lost just this box and all other less important stuff came through. The moving process was a pain as we had to call the customer care repeatedly for our issues. The Scheduled dates of pickup were changed 4 times according to their convenience when we had actually planned to move the stuff well ahead of our departure. Our Coffee table came all broken with detached racks and screws (lost) , the mattress is stained to an unclean-able amount and the couch has scratches here and there.

      As if this wasn't enough the guy who came to drop off the items was rude and very unprofessional .We told him about the missing box and he wasn't ready to acknowledge it and kept telling that we are lying about the missing items. The moving company and sub contractor kept playing the blame game…

      Bait and switch.

      Long distance movers llc deserves 0 starts

      I contacted them to move from Michigan to Florida for $1500. They said price would not move. 3 days before moving they increased the price to $2500. Also they told us we would only be able to take 1/2 the stuff we told them we planned to take. I couldn’t back out because they had my $1000 deposit. I dreadfully agreed because we were stuck. The day of their appointment they said it would be between 8am to noon. 5pm came and they finally answered our call to let us know they could be there at 9pm. We told them to forget it and were only able to recoup $400 of the $1000 we gave them.

      Stay away and save your money.

The worst service after they take there cut of your money after that they don't care remember they are brokers,so they take your money and pass you to the next company ,trust me save yourself the headache and stress don't use this company,you will be disappointed 100% guaranteed.

Scam..scam..scammers..do not repeat use this company.

I can't even begin to start and where to start, Long Distance Movers are fake a fraud and scammers, all the reviews on this company that are bad is true and more. This company is a broker company so they say and like others they make u sign a Contract over the phone and don't even allow u to look it over or really tell u what ur signing and give the good speech about where better than other companies and we guarantee ur delivery and cheaper prices and the whole 9 yards.They feed u a bunch of bull and pretend they are their for u and promise u will have ur things on time and when u move into ur place. Nitemare for real, they took my deposit and never heard bk from them and I had to call them myself to see if the movers where still coming so that was a sign right their but once again they made a excuse and of course no refund, so on to the moving and pick up part, they showed up in a truck to small and the price changed and they quoted u on the phone and said it wouldn't change and guarantee their price well a lie, that price shot up a extra $1300 dollars and talked about weight and some more and I had no idea about weight or nothing, so moving along I called the company while the movers where their picking up and they where rude and act like they didn't know nothing and that it was in the contract and more and just lies after lies. they told me after my things were taken that the truck will arrive when I do or few days after and guess what it arrived one month and almost 2 weeks and all my belongings missing, broke and damaged and missing stickers, now how do u misplace things that are numbered and pallet together so the movers claim and how do u forget a big California king bed and twin beds and dressers and half my boxes and boxes and bins retapped and replaced with cardboards are a top for a lid on bins and how do u have brand new things in the original box from store and not see that's missing and u wasn't going to notice that..hmmmmm crazy., I called the moving company and they gave me the run around and then had the nerve to tell me to call the movers who delivered my items and I also asked where and why was they late and I called the movers weekly and everyday from the date of pick. the company told me to also call the insurance company which is through them for money for being late pass the due date when the due date should of been the first week after I left. just a nitemare and more and lies. I'm still dealing with the outcome and waiting on my lost items and stolen items and they seem to not care and I shouldn't have to contact the actual movers when they are the ones who hired them and the movers they used was Mirit Great American Inc and they are bad and thieves, never again will I ever go through them of movers and I advise u guys to follow or be sorry, just a nitemare for real and I don't know why they are still open and taking business when they should be shut down and be investigated for fraud and the movers they hired as well.

I haven't even moved yet and looking at my invoice, the lbs are so far off it's ridiculous and I feel like I was lied to. Glad I didn't make my deposit. I'm sorry all of the other people here got smashed. I wouldn't use this company either after that bogus invoice.

Very bad movers - Will never go with them.

I suggest not to go with this movers. They do not deliver what they promise. They assign to third party movers and had a bad experience. I lost one of my box worth 500 bucks, they charged me 300 more just for the storage of 5 days. They never wrapped any of my stuff and furniture. Service was very bad.

Unreliable and deceitful.

Do not use this company. The initial sales person will quote you at what sounds like a great deal and then he or she is done with you from that point on. I GUARANTEE you will pay double or triple that initial quote. And good luck working with customer service once everything is said and done - you will get nowhere. Do not trust this company.

Never trust on them.

First they will call you 100 times for booking and then will quote you a amount which they will rise just a day or two before move. For us they rose 1000$. Then while delivery one day they say truck hasn’t even started from the origin and the other day day will call we going to deliver in morning 6.30.. which is very baaaad. And theek you find you things broken badly .. you try to call them for claims and no body will respond you. Never never ever trust them . Highly irresponsible ppl.

Absolute Nightmare.

I can't even begin to describe the ways in which my experience with this company turned into a disaster. First of all, they are a broker not the actual company doing the move, which they contract out. There was little communication between then and the moving company and myself, and most of what they did relay to me was unreliable. They more than doubled the originally-agreed-upon price. They changed the delivery date (with little to no notice). They gave inaccurate information about forms of payment accepted. I had difficulty getting in touch with anyone when I had questions or issues. Just stay away. Don't use this company! In moving from Tx to Wa, I was promised delivery on 5/9 or 10. When I called to get a status, I was told it might take 3 more weeks! Their communication throughout the process was horrible.

Absolute nightmare!! They passed the job over to another company who did not even do the move. I have the local ABC 11 News trouble-shooter investigating to help get my $2000 back for a move not even done.

A complete fraud.

Firstly, they do not tell you they are a broker, rather and an actual freight company. The company they contracted to get my thngs here took three weeks to go from Memphis to San Antonio. They doubled the rates, and the customer service is non-existent. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
