Long-distance move from New York to Alabama

Horrible service and quality.

Today, our movers were supposed to be here to move our stuff. When my husband went to sign them onto the military installation they had no insurance, fake plates and DOT #, and one had a felony for insurance fraud. Needless to say, we didn't get our stuff moved the day we were scheduled and have to wait and see who we get tomorrow without a given time. Therefore, if the same instance happens tomorrow, we are not likely to have a mover in time to move our HHG during PCS season because everyone is booked. The same thing happened a few weeks ago to another couple on the military installation. Their driver couldn't get onto our military installation because of a felony and we called before hand about this to let them know about the situation so it didn't happen to us. Needless to say, it happened any way. I will never recommend this company to ANYONE!

Long-distance move from Michigan to Georgia

Once they get your money, don't expect any service.

DONT USE!! CAUTION!! WARNING!! WARNING!! the person who said that they are indifferent and uncaring to customers was completely correct. Get ready to pay way more than what you thought or were quoted. They won't tell you up front but they refuse to take items unless you pack them the way they want you to. I've never experienced a moving company like that. As long as stuff is packed, then take it. But no, you have to buy specific boxes, they won't take TV's or computers without being boxed. No bags for clothes, only boxes. Ended up costing me $1000 more than what they originally quoted. Also the communication is terrible!! The only time they will contact you is to get your money. Any issues after that, good luck. They are constantly saying we'll call you back and it never happens. No one called me even the day I was getting stuff picked up. Then they told me they were dropping off on a certain day. By afternoon, I hadn't heard from them so I called and they say they don't know where my stuff is or when it will be delivered. Horrible!! Do not use!! Use two men and a truck. Better value, better service.

Long-distance move from California to Colorado

Worst experience ever!!

They gave us a quote, and then when push came to shove to move us they kept on raising and raising the price they were rude, drinking on the job, they were disrespectful. They weren't upfront about what they wouldn't move for us.. but still kept raising the cost. They tracked food all through my carpets. All they did was argue when it came down to explaining why the price went up. Worst experience ever!!

Long-distance move from California to Washington

Bad Experience.

Leadership Logistics was the local company they hired to do my packing and moving job. However, I was overcharged on the name of special boxes, like wardrobe boxes which were just used as normal boxes! Clothes were dumped in them rather than hung! Pantry items were kept in it!Same for dishpack boxes.
Even moving was horrible because they they damaged most of our furniture and lost our dresser (we got it back after a day)
It was a bad experience.
However, after I wrote a review on Yelp I was contacted by their Senior Contractor who offered me a compensation as well as told me that they plan to cut off Leadership Logistics from their network. Im glad a step was taken. On the plus side, they were quite punctual.I used them for my car move too and that went completely fine.

Long-distance move from Batavia, IL to Austin, TX

Poor Experience.

This company has wasted enough of my time so I will be brief and concise. I was quoted a price by Thomas that I was told would not change, since it was based on weight and not the amount of boxes. Since I only had a bed and dresser as larger pieces, he said I was under their 2,000 pound minimum and even if I added boxes, the price would not change. He also told me it would be around 5 days from the pickup to the delivery and the longest it would be is 8 days. This is the first time I've used a moving company and it sounded like he knew what he was talking about. I put down the deposit that day, the next day, got a call saying the price was changed because I had more boxes than quoted. Thomas didn't even ask how many boxes I had when I talked to him. I started explaining this to the man on the phone, but he put me on hold while I was still talking. When he came back, I told him that that was very rude and he continued to tell me that he knew Tom, and it sounded like he had a bad day, that why I was misquoted. Wow. We then had the movers come a few days later, that's what the extra star is for or else I would put them at 1. The movers that loaded our things and the movers that unloaded are things were very nice, gentle with out things and were quick and efficient. Funny thing is, this company doesn't directly employee these guys, they were both from different moving companies since they contract out. The WORST part of this whole experience is out of the EIGHT times I called this company to see where our things were, all EIGHT times they couldn't tell me where our things were. Couldn't tell me if they were still at the warehouse, couldn't tell me if they were on the road, nothing. How do you not have a system where you can tell the people that the trusted you with their possessions, where they are?! How insane!! Every time I called, the lady on the phone was nice but it was extremely frustrating. I even called Tom at his extension, told him what the situation was and he put me on hold without any conversation and transferred me to the same lady I had talked to. We waited 13 days for our possession, that was 13 days of sleeping on a blow up mattress, 13 days of eating out since we had no kitchen equipment, 13 days without anything. If we would of known it was going to take this long, we would of better prepared but when someone tells you most likely 5 days and it takes 3 days to drive to our new home, that's only a few days without your things. After all of this, I never received a phone call, email or any follow up from them like normal companies do. They want their money and don't care about customer service when that is what your buisness is really all about, people and their livehood. Please don't use this company, spring for the extra customer service, tracking system and all around better morals.

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Virginia

Caution!! All about the sale not the customer.

I booked my move with Jeff. He said to move 450 miles it would take 2 to 5 business days. Perfect! Or so I thought. The moving company gave me a window of 3 to 6pm for pick up. They called and said they were running late and should be there at 7pm. They showed up at 8pm and didn't finish until 1030pm. I asked how many jobs the had for the day and they said I was the only job! The traveled from NJ to PA to get my belongings.

As instructed by Jeff, I was told to ask the drivers for a delivery date. They couldn't provide one. I called on the 5th day when my belongings never showed up. Liz answered the phone. I explained my situation and she said that my contract said up to 30 days. She called the movers and quoted me Saturday 4/8/17. I was upset that the 30 days was never explained to me. I asked if I could speak to a manager She said they were in a meeting. I asked to hold. She said she would have someone call me back. I asked to hold again Liz stated she "wasn't going to keep me on hold for God knows how long ".
I spoke with a manager Kaitlin who stated she was going to check with the movers. She too quoted me Saturday 4/8/17 and said that they would call me 24hour prior to delivery. On Friday 4/7/17 I had not received a phone call so I called to confirm my pick up. Again I speak with Kaitlyn who told me my date had now been moved to Monday 4/10/17.

I received a phone call 4/9/17 and was told to expect delivery between 8 am and 11am on Monday 4/10/17. An hour later I received a phone call that they needed to "fix" something on the truck and would not be here until Tuesday 4/11/17 between 12 to 3pm.
I never received a 24hour notice phone call on Monday. However, Tuesday 6:32 am I received a call from the driver, I was still asleep. 7:29 am another phone call and a message stating they would be here at noon. 8:03 am a 3rd phone call!

Delivery drivers arrive at 12 noon to stated that I owe $150 extra because they have to move to a 3rd apartment. I told them that I had communicated this once to Jeff and once to the pick up delivery guys. I informed them I would not be paying the extra money. To which the driver explained he would waive, but that is the only way he gets paid. At the time of delivery I told them I thought I owed around $470. He looked at the bill and said that is correct. So I gave them $470. He never gave me a receipt, he never had me sign that I received my furniture. When I got back to work the receipt that I was given at pick up stated I owed $427. So he stole $47. That was after I tipped him and the other over $60 each for moving my furniture. (One piece is damaged from the move)

Do not use if you are looking for dependable, honest company.

Long-distance move from North Carolina to Arizona

Moving Across Country.

Poor experience, was told move would take 10-14 days and it will take more like 21 days. This is a broker not a moving company who says they have their own trucks but a completely different trucking company showed up. The trucking company was 3 hours late and we did not know when they were coming until the night before. We were supposed to get the weight of our load the same day, had to call LDM every day for 6 days before we got the final weight and final amount of delivery fee. Since they are a broker you are paying them to coordinate your move. They do a very poor job of communicating and providing acceptable customer service. I would not recommend them.

Long-distance move from Florida to Colorado

Highly Professional but Very Cheap.

Honestly, I chose these movers because I had a very low budget and their quote was the only one that fit into my budget. I actually thought that the move would be a mess and I was ready to handle whatever comes out of it. However, I was pleasantly surprised with their professional attitudes, demeanors, excellent services and keen on customer satisfaction. It is easy to find out that each of these movers is highly trained and know how to pack and move stuff. Thanks a lot for the service you rendered. There were lots of bills to settle for the house I sold and I wanted to move fast to allow the occupant to pack in. These movers gave me the exact thing I want. They were there when I needed them and helped in moving my stuff. To my amazement, they charged very low and I had enough to settle my bill.

Long-distance move from Saint Louis, MO to Indianapolis, IN

Bait And Switch.

My first time using a moving company, and Long Distance had a bunch of good reviews. They were professional and polished in the early stages of our conversations, but everything was ‘too good to be true.’

My initial quote was less than 1/2 of the final cost of my move (and my inventory list SHRUNK).

They made a lot of assumptions about packing material that caused the largest uplift in my cost. Not to mention, they never mentioned ‘bulky fees’ until my items were already on the truck.

I would not recommend using this company again, unless you work directly with one of their subcontractors (who ultimately do most of the moves anyway). Long Distance becomes a middle man with no value after the quoting process.

Long-distance move from Houston, TX to Dresden, TN

Do not use Long Distance Movers Inc.!

I have contracted with Long Distance Movers Inc. (LDM) and they hired Pioneer Moving and storage to move my items from Houston, TX to Dresden, TN. Pioneer picked up my items up. It has been over our contracted 21 days and I still do not have anything!

• Pick up- items picked up (Floor scratched which was filed with LDM but have not heard back since)
• Week later: I called LDM to ask a few questions and was told that an agent would call me back, which did not happen
• Second week: I called LDM to inquire about when the items would be loaded and estimated delivery due to upcoming holiday events. I was told that it would be loaded on the 20th and would arrive 5-7 days and the driver would call 24 hours before arrival.
• 3rd week: I called LDM to inquire about when the items would be loaded and estimated delivery so I could make arrangements. The service department instructed me that they would call me back in 1-2 hours. That did not happen so I called them later that afternoon. I was told that it would be loaded on the 27th and would arrive 5-7 days and the driver would call 24 hours before arrival.
• 4th week: Called and received the same instructions. During this time I was instructed that the same man who picked it up is in charge of my delivery. I had his number in my phone from our previous communication so I texted him
• 5th week.. I did not receive any communication in return from the contractor. I called LDM who informed me that the items were not loaded and they did not know when they would arrive.

At this point in time I need to move on. I have no bed, no winter clothing, no kitchen items, and none of the gifts I had already purchased and wrapped for my family. I have lived out of a suitcase for over a month and need to move on.

I have paid close to $2000 in deposit and pick up fee been without items for over a month- living out of my suitcase. Thanks Long Distance Movers Inc. for the worst experience of my life! Inflatable sleeping mat from my camping trips has come in handy though!

LDM only says Im sorry you don't have your items it must be frustrating.. gives no reconciliation for the poor service or anytime on when I can get my stuff!!

Long-distance move from Manhattan, KS to Kansas City, MO

Company doesn't care.

Moving day was a horrible experience. The movers showed up 2 hours late, and when they finally started working, one of the 2 guys went to the bathroom for 45 minutes, which is incredibly unprofessional. The worst part was that it took the movers over 8 hours to make a 2 hour drive. I had no idea where they were because they ignored my phone calls. When I finally got in touch with them, they said they were waiting on their boss to come up with the final cost. Then I called LDM to inform them of the situation and they did absolutely nothing. Overall, I would say move with a different company. Get a company who will do an in-home quote to make it as accurate as possible so you don't end up getting charged an extra $600 like me.

Long-distance move from Germantown, MD to Sopchoppy, FL

The Staff is Friendly.

We had a lot of fun in this move and I learnt a lot about moving with Long Distance Movers. Of a special interest to me is their friendliness. The movers from this moving company are very friendly with us and with one another. Their courtesy is also remarkable and they even extended it to help us fix things in our home when we arrived. It was a great time moving with these guys and we will hire them again. I never expected anything great and wonderful in this move. I expected that the move would end up just like my past movers but it didn’t. As I watched the movers do their job in moving my stuff, I wondered where they got trained. They were so skilled that nothing slip across through them and they were so coordinated that each person seems to know what the other folk is thinking. It is a great move indeed.

Local move within Maine

I don't understand how this company got any positive reviews!

Long Distance Movers, Delray Beach, FL
Order Number L4350521
Frist let me state that this is not a paid review; I am a real customer. In the past 7 years, I have made four moves; three were long distance (greater than 2,000 miles). After reading the reviews on this site, I was very apprehensive about using this company. The reviews are horrible. However, I took some solace knowing that that 80% of a company’s customer don’t write reviews, and the ones that do are either very satisfied or very unhappy.
The Good:
1. They use weight instead of volume to calculate cost. This is by the best way to go. All the other brokers I surveyed all use cubic feet estimates.
2. They over-estimated that poundage to prevent any surprises on the delivery date. Thus, I fully expected to pay less than contracted on delivery. The concept was good, but the execution was not (see “the bad” #4).
3. They promise 24-hour customer service (however, after hours you get an answering service. I used it once and did not get a callback).
4. They seem to have a great deal of experience in the business. However, there is no way to verify their yearly volume.
5. They called a few days prior to pickup to revised the estimate. In my case, the price went up slightly.
6. They provided an estimated 2 hour pick up window (9-11) and they arrived at 8:45.
7. All furniture items were well wrapped in blankets and/or plastic.
8. The movers were very courteous and took care when loading the truck.
9. The cancellation fee is limited to the credit charge charges. If you pay in cash/debit, the fee is less.
10. There was no damage my packaged goods.
11. The delivery guys did a great job in placement and setup of my furniture but they damaged two walls within my home (see the bad #5).
The Bad:
1. Very poor communications: The sales person was very aggressive and communicated well during the customer acquisition phase, but the customer service people never called back. I called after hours and got an answering service that forwarded my concerns, but I never received a call. I had to call them to remind them that they were required to call me to confirm the contents of the move.
2. I requested delivery for the week of 18 September 2017 and was assured this would not be an issue. Once again, I had to call the customer service department and was told that my stuff was loaded on 18 September but would not arrive until the 27-28 of September. This is another example of poor communications. They should have called me prior to the 18th but I had to call them. On Monday, 25 September I got a call from the driver (Sega Transportation, Bronx) who stated he would arrive at my home on Wednesday, 27 September between the hours of 1-3PM. The called me that day at 0745 stating they were at my gate—5 hours early! Of course, this was a major disruption to my day.
3. Uninsurable? Several times I requested information about moving insurance, but I was never contacted. Even when I spoke to their “Insurance Guy,” he never provided any information. In fact, he suggested I did not need insurance. I disagreed and gave him an example where I did a local move some years ago, and the insurance covered a significant number of issues. Long Distance Movers is not listed as a provider on MovingInsurance.Com site. I have used this insurance company twice and they are the largest provider of moving insurance in the country. They list dozens of moving companies. To be listed as an “approved” moving provider, the moving company must submit an application and pass a quality review. I forwarded the necessary contact information to Long Distance Movers and they simply did not apply. No reason was provided and this issue was nearly a deal breaker for me but since the volume was so low, I decided it was acceptable risk. The question remains, “Is this company insurable?”
4. Despite what seem like over estimates on my contract, my load came in about 25% (700 pounds) over the estimate. I was so surprised, I demanded and was granted a re-weigh. The re-weigh confirmed the overage. To the company’s credit, Nicole (Long Distance Movers) was very gracious and secured a $208.80 refund.
5. I contacted (28 September) Nicole at Long Distance Movers about the damage to my walls. Once again, she was very courteous and provided the insurance company’s contact information. I called the insurance company and was told that Sega’s (the actual movers) did not have coverage for damage to building structures. I made many calls and emails about the damage to my walls. Long Distance Movers stated that they were not responsible but Sega Transport was at fault. I explained to Nicole very firmly that I did not select Sega but they did and as a broker it is Long Distance Movers responsibility to ensure the partner they select provide a quality job. As of November 18, 2017, I have not received one word from Sega or Long Distance movers. I had to pay about two hundred dollars to repair the damage. It is apparent that LDM does not care about its reputation or the satisfaction of its customers.
In summary, I would not recommend this company or its partner Sega Transport. They seldom follow-up and it appears they do not properly screen the movers they select. Also, I don’t believe they are not insurable and would not pass the basic scrutiny to be so. Fortunately, I did not have any damage or lost goods.

This company did an wonderful job! Due to an unfortunate family situation, I was having items moved to the home of a relative with whom I am not on speaking terms. Joshua F. handled a volatile situation with professionalism, compassion, & dignity. The move went off without a hitch. The driver, Yaniv, called me in advance, was on time, was very pleasant & courteous, and again, professional. Couldn't be more pleased; they are A++ in my book! Previously used Bekins - never again! This company & its employees are simply awesome.

Long-distance move from Seattle, WA to Southern Pines, NC

Move from Washington to North Carolina.

Sales portion of the move was seamless. Anthony and quality control did a great job sales and pre-move. Execution of move another story. I want to say that the execution portion of the move was NOT Long Distance Movers. The responsiveness of Anthony and Brittany saved my disaster from being a complete disaster. They were available and responsive throughout the move. Thanks for small miracles. I would give 5 stars but due to the execution portion of my move I can’t even though they were not the ones physically responsible. I think this will be my last of 14 moves and the most important lesson I’ve learned is read the contract thoroughly so you may ask the appropriate questions. Thanks again to Anthony and Brittany who, in my previous 30+ Experience working in 5star hotels as an executive chef , displayed great “hospitality” given the situations. The customer service part was stellar on their part.

Long-distance move from Lewisburg, PA to Salt Lake City, UT

Do Not Use!

Absolute disaster! They assured us that there would be no additional charges since we had a Mayflower rep inventory everything and gave us a contracted price. We also included pictures and their quote. When the movers showed up 7 hours late they wanted additional money. Not only was there a severe language barrier but they wanted cash or cashiers check upon deliver in UT. We could not get anyone to respond from Long Distance Movers after numerous calls. To this day we never heard back from the rep who guaranteed us that it was a contracted rate.We cancelled them and hired Mayflower. Long Distance movers then tried to take our deposit based on their "contract". This company uses subs and you have no idea who or what your getting. These guys will tell you anything to get your business and are total scam artist. Don't trust anything they say! Pay the extra money and use a reputable company.

Long-distance move from Kansas City, MO to Sarasota, FL

If I could give a minus 10 I would.

In case you do not want to read my story, I warn you now DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THERE ARE TOO MANY OTHER MOVING COMPANIES. Now I will tell you my story: Moving from KC Missouri to Sarasota FL and Erik with Long Distance Movers was so very nice and followed up with me all the time and the day they picked up my items it went downhill from there. A company called Empire picked up my items (had no idea Empire was involved) Was told they were headed to FL and asked my boyfriend when they could deliver, he told them a date and they said no problem and it may be sooner and was that OK, he said yes. That day came and went, and my items did not show up, so I emailed Erik and got no response, several emails later and calls later I asked for manager. I got Annie (aka as manager) and she advised me that Erik was on vacation and that is why he did not respond, of course my response to that was "why would you not have someone looking at his emails or v/m and handling his accounts because moving is pretty important." She responded by saying that was not right and someone should be handling his emails and calls, but they do not do that. Annie also advised me that my items were still in Olathe KS which technically is still KC Missouri. I was shocked, then they said they would let me know when they would be shipping. Couple days later Annie and Nicole, another manager, assured me they were loaded and would be delivered by end of week. End of week came and went and still no delivery. Called again and this time having a lot of troubles finding out where my items are. Many attempts to reach owner of Empire and owner of Long Distance Movers with no success but again Nicole assured me my items were loaded and yet on the way to FL. End of week came and NO DELIVERY. Called again to find out they were still in Olathe KS so I advised Nicole I was evacuating for Hurricane and she said no worries they were not sending anyone to Florida during the Hurricane and we would touch base after it was over. WELL to my surprise the driver of Empire drove to Florida in the Hurricane and kept calling me telling my items were here and if I did not get back they would take them back to KC and I would be charged. I kept in contact telling him I was driving back as quick as I could, but traffic was horrible and at a standstill. He seriously was calling and texting consonantly and when I was a couple hours away said they would start hauling my items up to my apartment and lined all my items down the walk way (thank goodness most of my neighbors had evacuated too). When I got home it was a total disaster. As they were bringing in my furniture I started noticing damages. Broken scrolling on headboard to bed, rip in mattress, reclining sofa was broken in several spots. They tapped the blankets to my furniture so when the tape was taken off it left marks. Destroyed my entry way by forcing my sofa through the door banging entry door into closet and taking a chunk out of my door jam. As you can guess I contacted Long Distance Movers via email, so I would have proof and I sent photos. No one would get back to me, so I had to call and s/w Nicole, she sent me an email address for Empire to send all photos to. I did and after several weeks and several f/u emails got no response, so I called her again and this time she called Empire and they sent me a form and told me to fill it out and to send pictures via mail. I did that and sent the envelope via certified mail on 11-14-17. To date after many emails, phone calls and promises of getting this resolved I still have NO resolution. I continue to contact the company and now I have decided it is time to post reviews in order to save anyone else from using this company and going through the same issues I have. The date is now 2-6-18 and my items were picked up in KC in August. This is ridiculous. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER SHIPPING COMPANY..THERE ARE MANY MORE TO CHOOSE FROM. And my long lost buddy Erik that started my quote and followed up until my pick up date..Well let’s just say he has been MIA since that day..

Long-distance move from Dover, NH to Cordova, TN

Do not use this company!

Honestly— the worst experience with a company. They are a scam so I really hope you read reviews prior to doing business with them. They guaranteed delivery by a certain date then called a few days prior to let us know it would be anywhere from 3-8 days late which I told them was unacceptable. They wouldn’t refund our 1600 we put for a down payment and also I spoke to several people who promised to called me back and never did. I spoke to a “manager” who was very unprofessional and said he would handle this for me and call me back in a few minutes—never ever called me. It was honestly laughable. I sent 3-4 emails to different people and their general email and never once did I get a response. I’m shocked they are still in business.

Please do not waste your time or money—find a local company that has good reviews—this company should be shut down.

Long-distance move from Asheville, NC to Long Beach, CA

Unorganized Scam.

This was the worst experience I've ever encountered with a company. After using Long Distance Movers, I will never used a broker company again to help me with my move. First off they were unorganized and very unprofessional when speaking to them on the phone. They would cut me off in the middle of sentences and randomly begin speaking to other people. They were very bad at hiding their obvious frustrations and stress. I hired LDM because the offer was good and my move was quick and last minute so my options were limited (they were not my first option). LDM, which is a broker, was pointless to hire. I not only had to give them ALL required information for my move and pay them, but I also received multiple calls from the moving company (a separate company that LDM hired to get my stuff) asking me the same information and had to pay them separately. What's the point of LDM as the broker if I had to do the exact same steps with the actual moving company, who picked up and delivered my items. Big waste of time and money to hire LDM. They were the over paid, undeserving middle man in my case. Due to the pointlessness and terrible quality of service I received from the LDM, my move in date was incorrect. This was due to poor communication between LDM and Rolls Trans (the shipping company). The company had to restore my stuff and deliver 3 weeks late. And of course, now I am missing large items. But I cannot talk to LDM about my missing items since they did not ship or deliver them. So what's the point of Long Distance Movers Inc.? Warning: Do NOT hire this company!!
P.S. If you do make the mistake like I did by using Long Distance Movers, then make sure you copy and print everything they send you as soon as you get it, because it will eventually disappear. Also ask and send follow up emails and save them all to save your butt from this rip off!!

Long-distance move from Pittsburgh, PA to Boston, MA

The worst part is after they pack your stuff.

They promised my packages would not go into storage, but it did.
It arrived 4 days late and my family didn't even have our beds. No apologies, of course.
Furnitures were broken on the move, which was expected. And the worst come with the claim. They use movingclaims.net to handle their claims and those people are the worst I've seen in years. First you need to submit all documents and pictures and fill in detailed information about the broken furnitures. Weeks later they'll have you sign a paper (no email confirmation allowed) that you're ok with your claims. More weeks later they will give a number so low that you'll feel embarrassed by them. It would be lower than the by pound compensation for your loss, and no details about how they calculated the number. I emailed with them at least 6 times requesting a breakdown of the settlement and each time they seem to say they don't know what I was talking about. They "offered" me to submit a "one time only" dispute if I was not satisfied! Even if you are so tired of arguing with these illiterates and just wanted to claim the dime they offered, they actually asked you to sign and "NOTERIZE" the acceptance of that dime!
Don't ever do business with this company, or anyone who try to throw you off with the movingclaims.net.

Long-distance move from Georgia to Colorado

Moving quote and movers hired awful.

I hired these people over the phone and they were nice
enough but totally screwed me over. The company they hired
to move me were a day late plus the young guys that showed up
were questionable. I called the after hours number given to me
and no response. To make a long story short, these guys
that actually moved my stuff to Denver..when my furniture was
delivered I was missing 4 oriental rugs, 2 pieces of artwork, and a bicycle. Plus I had water damage armoire, and not one
piece of my furniture was left without some kind of damage. I
contacted Long Distance Movers right away and at the time
they seemed very concerned but as weeks went by they
never did anything to recovery my missing items. They frankly
blew me off when I called. The movers they hired to move
my things frankly stole my stuff and no one has been held
responsible. This happened in August and after numerous
times to get some answers I have given up. I wish that the
networks would do a story on these moving scams because
I know I am not alone. Plus they owe me $100 that was overpayment on delivery which I have never been reimbursed.
My advice definitely have an onsite quote and even if it seems
high if movers are reputable use them. Most movers go by weight the movers I used said that didn't do that..scam I do have photos of all my missing items plus pictures of my damaged furniture. Plus urine stains on my beautiful mattress and dirt on my box springs/mattress which were bagged. I had to purchase the bags and helped put the mattress/box springs in the bag. It was obvious they had been removed from the bag.
Like I said I have pictures of everything, phone numbers, correspondence, etc.

Long-distance move from Seattle, WA to San Francisco, CA

Poor customer Service.

I wa shipping around in order to get a nice quote for my move from San Francisco to Seattle.

I assume the process means lots of e-mails with questions.

Hamilton Johnson from the sales department gave me a quote and I told him that I would consider his quote and get back to him I just needed to see around first as I was shipping around.

The answer he gave me?:

What is it that you want?
If your looking for the lowest price you’re going to get burned.
My time here is very valuable and I do have a truck I can service out to you by the morning but I don’t have time to ring around the rosy. I need to know if you are interested or not.
Please do NOT shop around with my quote

What? Does that mean either you agree on the quote without the liberty to shop around or BEAT IT?? So Rude and I can only imagine how the service and follow up with me would have been if I did consider them for my move.

Long-distance move from California to Oregon

Wonderful Moving Company.

I originally went online looking for a long distance moving company, I filled some form out and I instantly received about 10 movers calling me for my business. When Zack from long distance movers explained to me the whole process, I knew I had found the company I was going with. He was so clear on how every step was going to work. The day the movers showed up was exactly how he said it was going to be. My new furniture was delivered in 3 days to my new home. I was very impressed with the movers. They did such a great job.

Long-distance move from Washington to New York

Fantastic Experience - Thank You! :).

Recently I plugged my name in online, I figured it would be simple. I was wrong almost 2 dozen companies called my phone! I was done with the whole "shopping for movers" thing, until a friendly bubbly representative named Mitch from Long Distance Movers called. I have no clue why I stayed on the phone because I had already gathered enough quotes to make a decision. I am glad I did! The whole process from beginning to end was an absolute breeze. I had one concern that was met at 9pm west coast time which was phenomenal. I would highly recommend LD Movers.

Long-distance move from Florida to Tennessee

Nice crew.

From the time, I called them to enquire about their availability, I knew that they were movers I could depend on. The representative who answered on the other end was helpful and gave me insight as to when the vehicles and the equipment were available. We arranged for a day that I would be available and they showed up ten minutes before the quoted time. It was a nice crew and they treated my things like theirs. These guys were brought to this world just to move people!
