Real Movers Moving And Storage

This company currently has my mother’s belongings. They are almost two weeks late in delivery and still tell me that they don’t have a truck to transport her furniture. Now I call several times a day and leave messages to get an update and no one will answer the phone or return a call. Mike Miller says he owns the company and that there is no one else above him to speak with about the issues we are having. Can anyone help us with getting my mother’s belonings back? If there is someone from this company that can positively assist me I will gladly Delete this review.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3400

I WOULDN'T recommend this company to move a lawn chair. Their driver at delivery told me I should have used United (and he could tell from the damage who our pick-up crew had been). The pick-up crew dropped my baby grand piano (2 huge gouges from hitting the concrete); they didn't have a piano board, their dolly broke and they broke a leg completely off of the piano bench. My husband had to help them get the piano on the dolly, as they were clueless. The job foreman didn't even know it was a baby grand, he thought it was a full-size grand; said they had just moved one the week before. They flipped the piano upside down and laid it on its top in the living room to take the legs off of it. I paid an extra $250 for special handling of the piano; apparently that special handling was dropping the piano and laying it in the middle of the sidewalk.They taped the blankets to my sofa, and the tape pulled the color off of the back of my sofa. They charge for the tape; they used an entire roll of tape on a small chest freezer (it won't all come off of the freezer) a few strips would have been sufficient. I've called customer service 4 times, nobody has returned my call. They think that telling their customers that lawsuits have to be filed in Miami is a deterrent. If you don't care about your furniture, just give it away for move it yourself, because if you let these clowns do the job, you will be sorry. They say they aren't a brokerage, but they are, so they are misleading in representing themselves. I have pictures of everything, if you want to see an example of their work, jenback01@hotmail.com. My estimate was $2900.00; actual cost was $4800.00, not including what it will cost for a new piano bench and the repairs to my piano and sofa. I'm sorry I couldn't attach photos of the piano, or more photos. Don't let these people anywhere near your furniture.

I had never used a moving company before and had no idea who to use. Stephanie called me and was amazing! She not only made me a customer but with my different situation she gave me advise on how to find a good moving service and websites to check ratings. She wanted to make sure that I got the best service I deserved. With the actual movers I did have a few mishaps but Stephanie was there for me to make sure I was taken care of. I have never received customer service like I did from her. She understood that what I was having moved was not just home furnishings. My dad passed away and I was moving everything of his and my grandfather's from FL to MS. These things meant a lot more to me than just a lamp, vases, dishes, etc. My grandfather was in the Army and all of his army things and my family history was in the hands of her company. They have no idea how grateful I am for their care. Stephanie was with me every step of the way. She still checks on me and wants to make sure that everything is still good.
I am truly blessed that they found me and were the ones to help me through this whole process.

REAL MOVERS ARE REAL SCAMMERS.This was 1 of the most horrific experiences in my life, and it still is not over!! Everything that I will say from this point on can be backed by video and pictures. Fact 1: Once I paid them, I had not been able to reach them for 2 days. There is a series of numbers that they contact you from ie.305-479-2287 and 844-653-1407 that once you have paid you will not even be able to leave a voicemail. Once you do get through, I have video footage of being on hold for over 30 minutes, and this happen MULTIPLE times. Fact 2: When moving, I acknowledge that all estimates are just that an estimate and cubic feet typically is reasonably off. Fact 3: They will aggressively express that they are a real moving company and they conduct all their moves, which is what I was told in 16 different text messages from Jon. That is a LIE. His number is 754-666-2195 (666..yikes!)My things were unknowingly outsourced and they tacked on a boat load of fees such as, packing fees, moving fees, distance fees, stairs fees, to name a few. Mind you, in the original agreement you sign it says those things are covered, like stairs, but they try to add that to your bill and hold your things hostage until you agree to pay. Fact 4: In your agreement, there is a fine print that states you need to be able to cover a 48 or 53 foot trailer in your apartment. I was immediately told once my things arrived that I have to pay an additional $350 because their 72ft 18 WHEELER can not fit in my complex. When I asked about it, they said the trailer is 53 foot but the entire truck is larger, mind you, I never saw the imaginary truck to be able to determine it's size however I have a video of the driver stating that REAL MOVERS intentionally mislead people to thinking the truck is not the size as stated and that he frequently has this problem. Fact 5: I was originally told my things would be there in 3 days, 4 days maximum by Jon on the 26th. That is a LIE. I paid on the October 25th, my things were picked up on the 25th. I did not receive my items until November 2nd and they were DAMAGED and I had MISSING items on my actual inventory list. Scheduling was a disaster, I was told my things later would arrive by that Sunday by Isabella(rude), they never showed up. Then Monday I was told to be available at 9am, I took off of work, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!! Tuesday at 10am was the next call time and guess what? THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! I called numerous times, could not get anyone on the phone, and finally around 4pm Real Movers answered their phone and told me they could not get in touch with my driver. Felix the driver finally called at 7pm and said he would be there first thing in the morning. I specifically asked Felix would I be his first move to avoid any other scheduling issues, he assured me I would be and guess what? FELIX DID NOT SHOW UP! He ended up coming later that afternoon with broken tvs, new charges, and someone elses clothes. I have this disaster on video. My clothes did not come, so I literally have minimal clothing, and an ENTIRE table is missing, the list goes on with damages upon damages, both emotionally and physical damages to my items. FACT 6: Once my damaged things were unloaded, the agreement says they would do a basic reassemble, to which I had 1 bed to assemble, it was never assembled. In fact because I did not possess the added fees that they tacked on after they arrived, and unloaded. FELIX SNATCHED THE INVENTORY OUT OF MY HANDS WITHOUT LETTING ME CHECK IF ALL MY THINGS WERE THERE AND LEFT!! He specifically said, "another job is calling me Nikita, I need to go." I relayed ALL OF THIS to jon the operations manager, Patrice, and other managers a week ago and the only response I got was a copy pasted generic response, saying they will investigate and get back to me. It has been 8 days, and guess what, THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. I am out of money. I am out of my things. I literally had to take time off from work from the anguish this has caused. REAL RIP OFF!

This company is the biggest fraud. After lying about being able to handle a military move and the forms of payment they accept I booked our PCS from FL to IL. They movers showed up 3 hours late with 3 guys and 1 didn't have a form of ID, 1 had some kind of outstanding warrant or felony (was denied base access) they lied about how much the move would be and held out stuff hostage.they finally delivered after making us deposit cash into their bank account (suddenly they didn't take credit cards) the truck wasn't big enough and we had to throw away some of our stuff, we paid them cash to get our stuff and they kept lying about when our stuff would be on the road. Finally our stuff is on the road and its delivered by someone who didn't have a drivers license in hand. Get him on base after an hour. He opens the truck door and all we see is our stuff destroyed. Everything was moldy or destroyed. We were assured it would be taken care of through claims and that was a lie. They offered $68 for our entire house worth of items destroyed. The few boxes that weren't damaged were opened and missing items or just empty. They went through our stuff and stole what they wanted. They opened sealed military envelopes, stole items they wanted and left behind beer cans in our boxes. They lied when having me sign the paperwork and what I was signing at our original destination and then added things in front of my husband to papers I signed earlier when they got there. We had to unload the truck ourselves because they didn't send anyone and we ended up paying 3x the amount we were supposed to. I didn't think they could get any lower but I just opened our deployment homecoming box for decorations and most of that is missing as well. How do you steal items like that?!

I scheduled a move from Florida to Ohio. It was scheduled for March 28th but right up until 50 hrs of pickup I was told it would be the 28th or the 29th. I had turned off my utilities for the 28th. Getting them to commit to an exact date was ridiculous! They said I would receive my furniture anywhere from April 1st to April 5th. Again no commitment. I called almost every day to see where we were at with my move only to be told "I'll check on that and get back to you." That call never came. It wasn't here by the 5th and no one seemed to know when it was coming. It was still sitting in their warehouse, apparently waiting for another customer that was moving towards Ohio. I had to threaten that if someone did not call me about my move status that I would call the police and report it missing. Someone did call back and said the truck was being loaded now. It is April 7th and I have been staying with family and friends for 10 days!! A piece of furniture that was not mine came into the apartment. Boxes were getting pretty beat up and a couple were upside down. Several dishes were broken but no surprise considering they had been moved four times. Once at pickup, then to warehouse, then loaded again and lastly at the arrival. Moving is stressful enough. I was not told that the furniture would be going back to Miami until after pickup and could not get a committed date on delivery. What the heck!! I could not have afforded to stay at a hotel for ten days people. I'm paying rent in the new place and waited until 8th of April for delivery. Pickup was on March 28th. My scheduled help was not able to help me by then. I was told movers would call me about 1/2 hour prior to arrival. I'm staying at my sons house. I get a call "we're here!" Then they fussed about being behind and having two more scheduled moves. How is that MY problem!!? Glad its over and will never use this company again.

With all the scare that comes with moving companies such as stolen and/or damaged items, or just straight up rude customer service, I must say that all my worries were dismissed after I received all of my items in one piece. Every last one. They were very kind and understanding of all my concerns. They assured me that they would make the move a smooth a possible and that is how it went. The movers even went they extra mile to help set things up upon drop off. Thanks and would recommend them to anyone.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3000

I hired this company after reading the reviews to move my belongings from Florida to Illinois, I was phoned and given an estimate from one of their office employees after giving inventory list. I paid half $1200 upon loading the items into a Budget truck at my home, at which time the foreman stated that we wouldn't even use enough room that we had paid for, he rapidly went through the paperwork for me to sign, stating that if I took the time to read the paperwork, then I would delay the move by hours, so I signed the agreement, not reading it of course. My husband loaded his truck and filled up boat with items to decrease the amount of charges for the move, hoping for a refund for amount of space not used. They loaded my entire house in a hurry with approximately 5 additional employees wrapping my furniture with blankets and tape, of which they charged $104.00 for on final invoice. The foreman assured me that once my furniture was loaded on the Budge truck, it would be completely loaded and on the way to my home, which would take 5-7 days (same amount of days stated when given estimate). He assured me when I asked about my items going to "storage" for inventory that it would not happen and again telling me it wouldn't come off the truck until I got to destination. They damaged the doorway of home coming in breaking ceramic tile and damaging doorway they went through in the garage also. I brought this to there attention and question if this is why they charged an additional $330.00 at delivery or simply if this is what they do when they arrive to peoples homes. Subsequently my items were not delivered until 16 days later, in a semi truck after multiple phone calls to the company and driver, only to not get an answers as to where my belongings' where or when it would arrive to the destination. This company has caller ID and will not answer, hang up on you when they do answer and not return the call. I have evidence that we called 6 times from 2 different phones before they actually answered the phone in a 10 minute period only to be told they didn't know when I would receive my belongings''. They then gave the drivers phone number who did not answer for days, then when did answer tell me that he was not going from FL to Kentucky to IL, but only to stop and pick up and deliver other items in multiple states, as he works for multiple companies as a subcontractor and proceeded to state he didn't know why they give his number because he is only the driver and doing what his boss (not being the above company) and did call my husband names and use profanity to him. When the items did arrive multiple items were broken, damaged or missing. The driver did state that the company listed above is the worst one he works for due to storage area being unorganized and crowded as well as getting most complaints from customers. When I phoned the company immediately regarding broken items, missing items that were noticed over next 48 hours, I still have not received any answers about my belongings that are missing or damaged items. The caller ID they have allows them to not answer calls or return calls regarding the poor service, multiple lies, over charging and delivery practices. I did notify them that I would be filing complaints with all entities possible, they still have not rectified or attempted to locate the items.

Real movers was great while they wanted my business. After I signed the contract and paid a deposit it was a different story. After that point it was frustrating and not a good experience at all. Without going into too many details I'll just say that the sales rep would not call me back after numerous calls and emails asking her to do so. The actual movers were nice guys but they were not careful at all. They were rough with our belongings and as it turned out, by time our stuff got to the destination they had broken several dishes, chipped many more, chipped an antique dresser in numerous places and cracked the leg and then set the dresser down and scooted it across the hardwood floor putting a two foot scratch in the new hard wood floor. We had a very, very small load so it shouldn't have been hard to take care of it. Nobody called or emailed to ask what our experience was like afterward and because we had a huge $1500 deductible (which we didn't know about til moving day) we can't get anything fixed or replaced. I would never use them again.

Over the years I have switched locations quite a lot, and normally I have an average, sometimes below average experience with the moving company that I use. However, when I was moving from Miami to Orlando, FL, I chose Real Movers for my new go-to moving and storage handler. They worked around my schedule and time frame to move all my belongings, including personal and valuable ones which were handled with great care, to my new house quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Real Movers to anyone in the Florida area, as they cover a wide range of area from their base of operations.

At the time I was living in Florida and was preparing to move to Texas to start my new career. I contacted Real movers to store my belonings a few months before the move, and then take them to Texas once I found a new location to live. I found out about real movers moving through an internet search and couldn't have been more satisfied with their work. They were on time, and their work was done in smooth and efficient manner. My belongings were moved and stored without damage or loss, and arrived to my new location in a matter of a few days. I highly recommend real movers to anyone in need of moving or storing of their goods.

They loaded our things February 7th. Great crew very personable and professional. The paperwork had a delivery date of Feb 9th. Not guaranteed, said that many times, I understand. On February 9th I was told that it would be sometime next week. That the truck was on its way but there were other families things on the truck to be delivered first. Okay. Inconvenient but okay. I was given a driver's name and phone number. He did not answer when I tried calling him Tuesday 14th. Office said they had to change drivers while on the road. I was given new dlivery date of Friday Feb 17th. Received new drivers name and phone number. Called him this morning. (February 17th)
He said he hasn't even left Florida yet. So that's 10 days now. If people were honest and up front about delivery dates we would have packed differently.
Very aggravated, will update review when we receive our furniture .

I recently relocated for work from Miami to Oklahoma City. I found Real Movers during my search for an affordable and quick solution to get me moved. They were great! I got quoted so many really high amounts. Real Movers was affordable. Polite, professional and the service was worth every penny. Everything arrived as I had packed it. There was nothing lost or damaged. They took care everything so that I could focus on getting ready for my new job. I highly recommend using Real Movers.

When I was moving from Miami to Houston I was pretty worried about some delicate glassware that would be difficult to replace. I was looking for a company with experience in delicate things. Real Movers really came through for me. They were responsive to all of my concerns, and they competently moved my belongings without any damage at all. I was really impressed by their friendliness and attention to detail. I would recommend them to anyone. You can rest easy while they take care of your move.

I was in a bind, my company had relocated me from across the country, from Pensacola to Houston, and I was under the gun to find someone to help me move. Stuck with, a house full of stuff and no house at my end destination or clue as to what to do I was in a panic, to say the least. Real Movers came to rescue. They helped me pack, put my furniture in storage while I found a new apartment in Houston that was to my liking and then helped me move my belongings there. They were courteous, fast and reliable. Not looking forward to the next move, but these guys will make it easy when I do!

This company promised pristine service / condition. Once they had my money and items, I got rude movers that were 5 hours late (starting to move us at 8:30 p.m.), lots of extra charges, tons of damaged and lost items (including a table base making my patio set useless). From the moment they had my belongings this company stopped answering phone calls. 20+ calls and several e-mails went unanswered. My items were delivered at least 2 weeks after the promise date.

In my opinion be cautious of these many positive reviews. One of the review sites stated that many of their positive reviews seem to come from the same IP address. I am not surprised!

The movers came to move us. I am relocating due to my job. I would move my house but due to my disabilities from the military. So my wife chose. Them. We were going to cancel the movers and go with someone else and the manager called "RIGHT AWAY" and informed of their A rating in the BBB. So they came and got a check for 900 in the beginning after a 250 deposit. We got rid of alot of stuff and were honest with the inventory we had. The estimator gave us an estimate of 1500 or 2000. He would not give me a ball park to load the supposed rest of stuff to get my stuff there since we were supposedly over the limit. He said we have to load it and see. So a mattres ending up costing me 180 dollars? And my tvs were packed for free. Whoopty doo. You charged me 399 for boxes to wrap my stand? I could have done that myself. You hold us hostage by having my stuff on the truck and demand more money. I have called left messages and my wife also. Amazing you have my money and items but wont call back. Way to treat a Wounded Warrior Veteran.

On October 12, 2017, I booked a reservation with Real Movers. I spoke with Nikki and John. I mainly spoke with Nikki as John more so closed the transaction and passed my saIe to Nikki. I advised her that I had 12 boxes and bags with clothes. She advised me that the bags cannot be shipped separately and they would have to go in boxes. Nikki stated she’ll add 9 more boxes for the clothes. When the final contract was drawn, it included the price along with 21 boxes being inclusive to the final quote as Nikki verbally confirmed this with me after I asked her three times to be exact that I wouldn’t be charged extra for supplies and she stated “Correct.”

When the drivers completed the transaction, they presented an invoice with an additional amount of $202.50 (for the boxes that Nikki added in the quote) after I paid the first half of the move. However, they told me I had to pay for the boxes and extra cubic feet. I told them Nikki advised me she’ll add in the extra boxes to account for the clothes. I called and spoke with Isabel who stated she couldn’t help me!

I was called by the delivery driver and advised my items arrived (late). Before completing the call, the delivery driver had the audacity to rudely stare they would not release my items until I paid the extra balance of $202.50 for the extra cubic feet that they added in due to Nikki’s error. The caller/driver was extremely rude!

I advised Stephanie that I was overcharged and that Nikki made an error and I was dismissed. I even went to their office and was advised the owner was not there. They refused to give me a refund for the overcharge which was Nikki’s error. They also charged me more than 10% for the deposit! A $1200 move became $1700+!! I advised Stephanie I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and she told me to go right ahead! $400+ error on their behalf!?



BEWARE OF THIS MOVING COMPANY! If you do not want to get robbed and do not want to have your items delivered after the proposed delivery time and unprofessional movers, please choose another company!

When I was about to move, I was a bit sceptical because it is a long distance from Florida to Texas my family and I knew it was a very long drive and wanted to play it safe. A friend of mine actually recommend the Real Moving movers to me. I kid you not, when I say their service was impeccable. They were very polite, punctual and hard working. On the move date their team arrived an hour earlier, to pack the boxes and everything into the truck, so that we could leave and arrive on time. The whole trip took the whole day, that's including the pit-stops. The drivers were road worthy, careful and law abiding. All our properties arrived in the same condition as they left. Not a pin out of place.
These people are great. I would definitely use them again.

After reading these reviews, all I can say is the same exact things and extortion tactics are being used on me at this very moment. I was in a terrible accident and had my stuff put in storage until I got well enough to have them delivered from Florida to Indiana. Every single tactic that these previews written has happened to me and I have never dealt with such horrible people in my life! They have threatened my safety, they have threatened me not ever seeing my things again unless I pay their extortion rates, we have gone from a $1750 move to over $6000 which they have wittled down to a whopping $3500 + storage fees more on top of what I have already paid! I have reported this extortion and price gouging to the FMCSA & to the Attorney General of Florida. They currently have an investigator on my case and I encourage you all that this company has done you wrong, to call the Florida Attorney General's office and let them know that you were robbed and extorted by this company! Let's pray that the AG's office and DOT can shut these people down forever! I have had so many threats lashed out on me from the so called owner Joe Palnermo. My last conversation I had with him on Monday, October 16th was, unless I pay him $3400 more on top of what I have already paid $250 deposit, $748 to pick up and $748 due on delivery..my things were suppose to be delivered on 10/6/17 and I am still without my items as of today, October 22, 2017. He told me on our last conversation that he is aware of the DOT complaint I placed on them and I will NEVER SEE MY STUFF AGAIN that he will show me how to play hardball! This company is 5 states away and I have been worried about my safety and am looking over my shoulder because they have scared me with threats that have consequences. So PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU ALL THAT HAVE BEEN DONE WRONG WITH THIS COMPANY TO CALL THE FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE NOW WHILE THEY HAVE AN INVESTIGATOR ON THIS COMPANY! THE AG'S # IS 954-712-4609. PLEASE CALL ASAP! LETS PUT THESE PRICE GOUGING THIEVES OUT OF BUSINESS WHERE THEY CANT EVER DO THIS TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN!..PRICE GOUGERS, THIEVES, LIARS, EXTORTIONIST, CRIMINALS!
