They showed up on time, and worked very quickly. I was surprised at the level of care they took with my girlfriend's furniture (they wrapped everything in pads). The entire loading process only took a few hours, and they were equally fast and careful with the unloading at her new apartment. Given how little they charged for the move, I expected to have a bunch of yahoos show up and toss everything into a pickup. :)  But the movers were very professional, two loaders and a manager who kept on top of the workers to make sure that they did everything correctly. He checked that all items were properly loaded and secured in the moving truck prior to their loading the next series of things. Very impressed, and would definitely use them again.

It was easy to work with Jake's from beginning to end. We submitted our request for a quote through their website and then received a call very quickly in order to determine the full extent of our move needs. They worked with us to find the best solution to our specific situation and provided a comprehensive revised quote based on the additional information.  On move day the two trucks (yes, two)  and eight guys arrived on time, in the pouring rain, and started working right away. These guys worked hard and kept at it until the entire house was cleared. At the new house, they kept the pace, still in the pouring  rain, and got everything in, without any damage. We have a LOT of stuff, some went upstairs, some stayed on the main floor. They didn't grumble or complain, rather joked good naturedly about it. I believe we estimated 10 hours and the guys finished in somewhere between 8-9 hours.   I have already recommended Jake's to a co-worker and would gladly again. GREAT service from really nice guys!

Initially we were leery about moving companies but we found Jake's Moving & Storage a week before we were to move and the salesman (Mark) was of great assistance. He took a thorough inventory of our items and gave us a reasonable estimate. There were no hidden charges. They called us one day in advance to remind of their arrival time. The movers were great. They were professional and made sure everything that required protection was protected. They worked as scheduled. At the end the estimate turned out to be quite accurate. We have decided if we move again we will use Jake's Moving & Storage!!     .

This was a same-day move within the same apartment complex, but between two different buildings.  It required full packing and unpacking and included a lot of unfinished packing on the fly.  They were punctual, showing up exactly on time.  They were uniformed and brought with them all the necessary padding, wrap, carts, etc.  It was a long day, but everyone worked as a team and got it done.  The cost was on budget and consistent with their quote with no unexpected charges. Days later, once I had a chance to open and go through most all of the boxes, I was impressed with the thoroughness and care they took when packing and boxing.  Absolutely nothing was damaged, stolen, or dirty or wet (even though it was raining towards the end of the move).  I would be happy to recommend Jake's Moving and Storage and they will be the first I call for my future moving needs. On last thing, about six months after my move, John, from Jake's Moving gave me a call.  It was a quality check call and he asked if I would consider making a post.  Since I had a good experience with Jake's I agreed write a review but I declined his offer of a gift card. .

This is the second time we do bussines with Jake's Moving.  On time: we also got the hands up phone call half an hour before the crow arrive so we can get ready.   Moving Crew: Shimon, Manuel and Abelino are very professoinal, careful, efficient and hard working.    Furniture and boxes: carefully packed,moved,unpacked and stacked up in the basement. king size bed and dinning table: unassembled and assembled by them.   Communication: Open communication through out each of them the whole process to make sure everything goes smoothly during 7 hours process.   Moving Truck: clean and well organized.    Price: very reasonable.    Result: satisfied customers, will hire them next time.       . .

Jake's Moving was such a great choice. The flat fee was reasonable, and I certainly appreciated no hidden fees when the movers arrived and helped pack up extra miscellanous items I had forgotten to pack, or hadn't known how to pack properly. The moving team was courteous, efficient, and professional. I hate moving, but they made it a pretty painless experience, and were good-natured throughout the process. Phone calls with the management to arrange the move and follow up afterward were equally pleasant and professional (which I really value since I am usually short on time and patience). If I move again, I'll be sure to go back to Jake's!
