A fast and desperate move was required after a nightmare rainstorm collapsed our basement wall creating an "uninhabitable" home. Jake's responded quickly and had us moved out and into storage within a few days of the initial call.

The employees were knowledgeable, efficient, and very nice. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped for storage and care was taken with boxes of fragile items.

They completed the move with two hours to go and immediately issued a credit against the original estimate. Awesome!! I highly recommend using this moving company and wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Searching and finding a moving company when moving with reasonable pricing can be so stressful on anyone. I was given a suggestion to use Jake's M&S and I did. I started with speaking with Tracy and she was very
respectful and knowledgeable with addressing my concerns that I had regarding my move, items, and pricing. I wasn't sure if the cost was gong to be extremely high because I had multiple locations to have furniture picked up. The cost was affordable and the contract was placed. As moving day got closer I received a follow up call from John confirming the move. MOVING DAY: I was called by Malik (I belieive) letting me know how close there were to the arrival time agreed upon. My experience on July 27 was a team of four: Malik, Javier, and Tony from Jake's Moving and Storage was nothing less than exceptional. Used Jake's to move a house that filled 1 1/2 10 by 15 storage units. Home sale with new occupants in house in less than 3 weeks. General manager John scheduled us quickly and they packed almost everything and moved our entire outside and outside and shed items 2 1/2 hours to the storage units. They packed, hauled up long steps to street level, loaded all into truck in bitter cold and inches of snow. They unloaded at the storage and amazingly fitted the inside household furniture and items into a storage unit like a giant puzzle. A mouse would have trouble getting around in there! The three employees who carried this out had positive attitudes and worked unbelievably hard. Fifteen months later, we called Jake's again and had them load storage unit onto a truck and move us into new location. Once again, we have never seen such hard working gentlemen. If you want to support a family business, while getting professional performance for a reasonable cost, you need to call Jake's.

What a wonderful experience I had with Jake's! First, I found the office very professional, and I was impressed with how transparent the estimate process was. The charges were very reasonable, given that they went to Virginia to pick up a move and came back to the Bethesda area the same day. They were on time at both locations. They did a fantastic job in plastic wrapping furniture. When they moved a piano, they laid down protection on the hard wood floors. As they moved furniture, they took care going around corners to avoid hitting the walls. The movers were courteous at all times and worked very fast. I will use them again!

I can't express enough of the excellent service I received when working with Jake's Moving. They were responsive to our need for next day moving and provided excellent customer service in assessing our needs and providing a quotation and explaining their services. The movers were totally professional, polite, and prepared and wrapped all items in the house. The load and unload went smoothly. I cannot image that we could have done better with any other company. I will have no problems recommending Jakes Moving to any of my friends, and to my realtor contacts. Thank you, John and Jake's Moving employees. Could not have been a better job.

I hired Jakes Moving and Storage for a local move in VA. From the very beginning to the very end of the process, they were so courteous, friendly and kind. They explained to me the entire process upfront. Everything that I needed to know very straight forward, honest folks..I loved that about them!!…they haven’t “Saved” on any details! They worked efficiently and made sure all of my belongings were protected. They performed the work with the utmost professionalism. I’m very pleased with the outcome, considering the ongoing stress I’ve been through weeks prior to this move. Jake’s Moving and Storage, turned my situation around and made me feel at ease. I simply do not have enough words to describe my joy. Thank you so very much!!

My husband and I moved last week with jakes moving and storage , after we were recommended by friends to use their services , boy did they deliver , the movers were kind and respectful , worked very hard all the way threw with no breaks they carfully packed all of our belonings . and most of all we were very pleased from the final bill we recieved . Jakes movers  did not include any hidden fees and the rate did not change towards the end of the move .it was great to move  with them as they offer flat guarnteed rates , with all the moving services included in there quote , I would reccomend their services to anyone looking for a reliable and trusted mover , great services and will most likley use them again in the future.

Last month my boyfriend had to move out of his sister's house.  He knew the move date months before, but when the moving day came, he was not in the least bit ready.  Although he had some things in boxes, the majority of his stuff was unpacked.  I was freaking out and I didn't know what to expect.  Shimone and his crew arrived at 8am sharp.  I was a mess when I showed him everything that had to be moved.  The first thing he did was calm me down.  He told me not to worry becasue they were there to help, not judge.  He also assured me that they had more than enough packing materials to get the job done the right way.  Shimone and his crew not only helped us pack up Patrick's belongings (something that Patrick should have already done), but they also got everything in the truck stratigically and efficiently.  Also, even with all the work they had to do, the move was completed well before 5pm and it did not cost me an arm and a leg.  The pricing was a lot less than I thought it would be.   I could go on and on about how great of an experience I had with Jakes Moving and Storage.  In a nut shell, they were able to make my moving nightmare a pleasant expereince. and I would recomend them to anybody and everybody.  If you would like any more information about the move, please feel free to email me at jennyalamb@live.com.

This moving company was great!  From the time I scheduled the move over the phone with Jacob to the time the movers finished the job 4 hours later, they were extremely professional and careful with all of my stuff--including a big screen plasma TV and some fragile picture frames.  They were also very timely and prompt.  I was having them move my stuff from a 1-bedroom apartment to a 4-bedroom house.  These movers were very accommodating because after I had them set up the furniture and considered where I wanted each piece initially, they were ok with moving the furniture to new locations before leaving.
