Dave went out of his way to get me out of a pickle with my move as I was let down by another company last minute.  He could not do enough to keep me calm and get me moved.  He went way above and beyond the call of duty.  I used this firm a second time and they were running late due to road problems (not their fault) but they kept me posted at all times and did an excellent job. Thye took very good care of my belongings.  I will never use anyone else again they were so good and I whole heartedly recommend Friendly Van. .

Moving my company archive to storage had to happen and very quickly.
Moving 150 filing cabinets stacked on 50 pallets is no mean feat and getting a moving team flexible enough to work with the guys at the pick-up and delivery point was important to a successful move.
Without David and Anna, and the drivers @ FriendlyVan I just couldn't have done it in the time-slot I had.  They were with me every step of the way.
FriendlyVan kept to their times and everything went smoothly.

I was hugely impressed with the services from Friendly Van.  Jacob and Marc were professional, quiet, methodical and friendly.  It was a very hot day and we have some very heavy furniture so I really can't have asked for more. They arrived promptly at 11am to move our stuff from west to north london - they completed the whole job in under three hours, despite the fact that they had to wrap a sofa and there were three floors to climb at both addresses. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I had a great experience with Friendly Van. I was moving to a  block of retirement flats at the other end of the country and a bit worried about it. David, who took my enquiry, was lovely. He was helpful, kind, thoughtful and seemed to genuinely care that I had a good move.  The removal team led by Jacob really lived up to their name - throughout a long and tiring day they stayed smiling and cheerful. Even although I had more books and china than they'd realised, which meant that it took longer to pack my things than had been allowed for, even so they took the greatest care.  Not one thing got broken, and in 40 years of moving frequently, this is the only time that there wasn't even one breakage!  They were so considerate, so kind.  The van arrived at my new home at the same time I did.  Jacob and team took the time and trouble to get me settled in properly, even although it was 8pm and they faced a long drive back to London. Although the move had taken longer than scheduled, David did not even suggest increasing the already highly competitive price quoted.  He said the important thing was that I should be comfortable and he really sounded as if he meant it!  This is the best removal I have ever had, and I reccommend Friendly Van very highly to any elderly person, who like I was, may be a bit worried about moving.  The team couldn't have looked after me better if they had been my own family.

Hi we used Friendly van to move from a large 4 bedroom house inn London to Ilkley. Despite using more smaller Luton vans instead of one large van Friendly van was one of the cheapest. 
The move was well planned by David as he considered our young twin toddlers. The van was on Thursday evening whilst tht children were stauing with my inlaws. The vans were parked overnight at their depot. Then the following morning the vans were taken to our new home and unloaded. 

I found Friendly vans staff very helpful even helping me loading my car with some belongings I was dropping round to a neighbour. They were very punctual and efficient. The only slightly negative comment I have is that when it came to trying to fit our furniture into our new house (smaller than old) they didn't try lots of different permutations to try and fit things in. Maybe in their experience they knew they couldn fit or perhaps they were in a rush to get back to London.

We booked Friendly Van to move from a (packed!) one bedroom 1st floor flat to a house. Communication was excellent - after putting in a request for a quote online I was phoned on the same day, despite the fact that it was a Sunday, and then they kept in contact before and after the move. The two guys we had worked tirelessly and finished before we'd expected so we ended up paying less than we thought we would, as they charge by the hour. We'd definately use them again.

Very impressed with this company. The guys were courteous, well presented and worked cleanly and carefully. Had good pace while still working methodically when the situation required.
They disassembled and then reassembled my old furniture with care, intelligence and high expertise in order to get it into my new, smaller flat.
They also carried a (digital) baby grand piano down a steep fire escape without a word of complaint - for which they deserve a medal! They even moved the piano several times until we found the optimum position for it in its new home - some positions were of their suggestion. So don't be afraid to ask for interior advice!
Absolutely perfect service, would trust them with any job.

Fantastic work with Friendly Van once again. We used them over 5 times. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a friendly professional moving service. One recommendation would be to ask the guys to bring plenty of boxes. We had a 2 bdrm flat and the estimated number of boxes we would need turned out to be less than what we required which meant one of the guys had to go get extra boxes. The most impressive thing was how the movers meticulously packed each China plate we had and other fragile items. Very impressive and well worth the money.

Facing a choice to decide who will move all our possessions was not an easy one. On the one hand, the famous larger companies who, just because of advertising, we felt more confident to use, as if we already knew them. However, their representatives were all the same when they came to our house to quote for the job - they were showy, sharp and expensive. In contrast, David of The Friendly Van Company was pleasant and courteous but above all, natural and honest. He just gave an air of being able to do a great job for us, without all the brashness of the 'bigger boys'. Also, David's quote was much cheaper and at first this strangely worried us - would you get a better job done by paying more? Well The Friendly Van company was the one we chose and we are delighted with the choice. I strongly recommend you use them. They moved all our furniture and 129 boxes starting early at 7.30 am and finishing at about 4.30 pm the same day with all our furniture positioned exactly where we wanted it. Of course some bits needed to be repositioned in the house but nothing was too much of a problem for the team. The company showed hardworking, team effort and with polite good humoured staff - Look no further, David and his team were better than we could have ever hoped for. No damages and everything Friendly Van did made the experience of moving actually a pleasure! They collected our boxes within a day of us asking them to call back. I have called Friendly Van numerous times for last-minute deliveries across London and David has always been able to accommodate my requests. The man and van that usually arrive are clean, efficient and diligent. It makes the stress of moving large items across the city from venue to venue less of a headache. I particularly like the fact that this van has an electric platform at the back so there is less risk of our property being damaged as it is hauled into the van. Thanks again!

We moved from London to South Wales at the end of May 2014.  Friendly Van provided an efficient and professional service throughout and made the move as smooth and straight forward as possible. The company was easy to contact and communicate with by email and phone and we always received a personal and helpful reply. To begin with, David Wrona come to the flat to assess the work that was required,  which is better that getting a quote by telephone or filling in  a lengthy questionnaire. The packing team who arrived, on time, on the allocated day were professional, efficient and carefully packed our goods and belongings. They had all the necessary packing materials, miles of bubble wrap and were quite good at dismantling furniture as well. They worked hard and practically non-stop for 7 hours doing the packing and took good care with our goods, including our many plants which survived the move quite well. All boxes were carefully labelled.  When halfway through packing the team realised that we were going to need another van, David was available on his mobile and responded to the potential crisis in a calm and professional manner by organising another van and driver for the following day. He did not take advantage of this by overchrging us either. Do not underestimate the amount of stuff you may have in a one bedroom flat! The following day the team arrived at 7am and packed the vans quickly and efficiently and were quite good a maximising the available space. They were even quiet to avoid disturbing the neighbours.They were equally efficient at unloading the boxes into a double garage in Wales after a long drive. The price for the move was competitive and fair considering the amount of work that was required. Overall, Friendly Van provided a professional, efficient and honest service, and in addition they are a nice and pleasant group of people that are easy to talk to and liaise with. We received a professional but also a personal and friendly service tailored to our needs and able to respond to unforseen situations. They proved to be reliable,  honest, polite and treated us as individuals and not just another job to be done. They contributed to making the actual move a positive and stress free experience.
PS. Most of the guys like tea, but Mark appreciates good coffee!
