Friendly Van were great from start to finish. No hidden costs, they did everything that they said that they would do, they were friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. It is difficult to choose a removal company so basically you have to go on others recommendation and I would definitely recommend Friendly Van. I was a bit worried because we were moving quite a long way with a family of five but it was actually really smooth and trouble free thanks to David and his team.

2 guys and a Luton van for 4 hours (actually only 3hrs 45mins). There was confusion over the time as it was meant to be 5pm but they thought 6pm. They were then 45 mins late for 6pm due to overrunning previous job. Once they arrived they were efficient and careful. They helped put together my bed on arrival. They had 15 minutes left to work but because it was so late they needed to go home (10.30pm).
Cost was £60/hour and billed for 4 hours.
I was moving bed, big wardrobe, 2 sofas, cabinet, full kitchen stuff, clothes and books from basement flat to 1st floor flat with lift.
I did all packing myself in advance.

I did the move on a Sunday and they were very professional and friendly. They answered any questions I had and the move went very smoothly. They spread out the work between them and were happy whilst they worked. They helped me dismantle a chair that needed to be moved, and put it back together again on arrival. 
When we arrived, they put all the boxes in the right rooms and stacked them nicely. I found it easy to get to boxes that I needed to unpack. I would definitely use this removal company again, and will recommend them to my employers if we do move. I would also recommend them to my friends as they made life so much easier by taking the stress out of moving.

When I read the reviews of FV Removals before choosing them, it was a little hard to believe that a removals company could be so good. But having used them a week or so ago, I can only say: believe all the reviews!

David and his team moved us from Cambridge UK to Budapest, Hungary (the drop down menu below does not have Hungary on it, which it why I listed Cambridge again). This was a complex move, involving picking up at two locations, with difficult access at one of them. David was very helpful when we were planning the move. The pickup team, led by Jacob, did a very efficient job, with good humour and without complaint.

Two days later they delivered the stuff to Budapest, again in a street with difficult access, to a 3rd floor apartment on a warm day. Again, they didi it efficiently and cheerfully. They were polite with some difficult neighbours. They took special care of some fragile and precious things. Nothing was too much trouble. And they charged just over half the price of one of the other quotes we received.

Moving house is a very stressful event, as everyone knows, but David and his team made our experience so much less stressful than it would otherwise have been. This was by far the best experience of a removal company that I have had, by a long way. I recommend FV Removals to everyone -- you will be lucky to get them.

The guys were completely professional from start to finish. We were rather anxious with our first major move but they answerd all of our questions and were nothing but patient and polite. They give of a freindly vibe which is a bonus. The driver, Mark arrived on the dot and helped load our stuff into the van which they had picked out for us. Spot on with the van size which was great. He protected things which could be bumped during the journey too. Upon arrival, he was kind enough to wait for us to grab the keys from the agency and then he help unload everything. Nothing was damaged, not even scratched.
We will definitely use Friendly Van's services again and recommend them to everyone. Don't spend hundreds of pounds for a company without character. Choose these guys, cheap and friendly!

I have received a number of quotes to compare prices and services and Friendly Van was more or less on par with quotes I've received from larger national and/or bigger local companies. I know that I will just get what I pay for so I went on to removalreviews and Friendly Van had been the one with the best reviews.
I highly recommend Friendly Van - from the start of the process David has been helpful, always responded to queries immediately, and had to reassure me lots of time as he knew I was nervous with the move! I had read lots of nightmare reviews of removal men not turning up but it turned out I had nothing to be nervous about at all - the guys arrived early, moved very efficiently, always cheerful, never complaining, and was very accommodating. All our stuff got moved safely, they helped with the reassembling where needed, placed the furniture in the right places, and always assured us to just let them know if we need furniture moved into another position. And the house we have moved into are on 3 floors! I have already told David that the guys were excellent and are an asset to his company, and will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family as well (I already have!). Booked 6 weeks in advance and was provided with a quote within a couple of days to move from Abbots Langley, Herts to Morden in Surrey.
Called week before to confirm and everything was still on track but was advised that they would be later than originally agreed due to another job - I challenged this and they then provided one person to start packing on my packing day which did concern me as by the end of the day not even half the house had been done (due to volume of my stuff rather than competency of the packer, he was really good). However David and another 4 guys came back sharp the following morning as agreed and whizzed through the rest of the house, got everything packed and on the road by the time they said they would and worked relentlessly. Great friendly team. Unpacked truck and took everything to the various rooms at the other end  - nothing was broken and most things were well labelled. I would totally recommend using Friendly Van, David and his team are friendly, efficicent and organised and managed to get my 3 bed house packed and unpacked in good time.

We have looked at several removal companies in St Albans area, compared prices, read reviews, and finally decided to choose Friendly Van. They were great from start to finish, and I would choose them again, if need it. No hidden costs, they did everything that they said that they would do, they were friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. Moving went smooth and faster than we expected. We were worried for our heavy and bulky furniture, but they managed to move it with no damage to it or other items.

It was my second move, the first move was an year ago. The first move went very well, so I decided to engage them again. Both times, the staff were very polite, courteous and quietly efficient, quick and careful! Their packing service is excellent and they Packed everything patiently and carefully including crockery and fragile items, and loaded and unloaded all my belongings properly. Their price is competitive too. I sincerely thank FV for their help and I thoroughly recommend them to my friends and family if they need to move.

Having booked FV Removals based on their reviews on this very website I was not disappointed that the reviews were genuine and accurate.

The booking was very short-notice and the packing had to be done the same day as the move.

The property suffers from very narrow staircases and poor access + peculiar neighbours. We have had a number of different delivery teams fail to deliver items to the property, damage walls, etc so were very stressed about the move, especially considering it would have been done in a single day.

Worry we did not as the team showed up at 7am as promised and have had the place packed up in boxes in just over 2 hours. We were out of the property by 12am, 1 hour ahead of schedule.

The packing service was better than if we had done it ourselves. Nothing was broken or even scratched. Items were boxed up in a very easy-to-unpack manner and labelled clearly.

All in all a surprisingly stress-free experience when we had prepared for the opposite.

I am not one to write reviews online but I felt compelled to join the other customers of this business who have had a very good experience.

We moved from a 3rd floor to 3rd floor with no lifts. The team of three arrived on time and worked methodically through the job, loading the van carefully to ensure everything was packed efficiently. We had packed the boxes but didn't have protection for the furntiure but the friendly van team had all the required equipement to ensure the furniture got there safely. It took four hours in total to move a two bedroom flat and this was solely due to the tireless efforts of the movers up and down the stairs.  Having previously attempted to move without professional help I can say using friendly van was worth every penny. Not just highly recommended but essential!

We had very positive experience with Friendly Van.  Their job was to move a set of (rather pricy) Gaggenau  cooling applainces  from one place in London to another in rush hours. The Items were not only delicate but also had to be transported in an upright position all the time as per manufaturer instructions. The boys at Friendly Van were on time and very proffessional looking, took care of the items very well and were not rushing it (as many other companies often do). The important factor to mention is that they have full insurance for the items in transit, so one less think to worry about while your possesions are in hands of other people (!!). Fair price too.
I can highly recommend them for proffessional transportation services, will use them again for delivering high end furniture and applianes. .

We would strongly recommend using Friendly Van if you're moving house. We have now used their services twice and both times have been very impressed. The first time we used them we only moved a bed which was £50 from Earlsfield to Putney (on a Saturday). The second time we moved the contents of two (very full) bedrooms plus various furniture from different stops around the Putney and Wandsworth area. The move took over 3 hours and ended up costing around £110 (again on a Saturday). Both times we helped the removallist (first time Sylvester, second time David). They were very fast, prompt, helpful and of course friendly. Both times they were early - but were happy to wait if we weren't ready to start. Friendly Van was recommended to me from a friend at work and I would recommend their services.

The team were lighting fast in organising and packing the van and the journey across London took no time at all.
What makes these guys stand out is their strength of communication - they are totally transparent about how long things will take, where different items should go, and how much it will cost.
The professional, clean-cut appearance is also a welcome surprise compared to most removal teams.

Friendly Van are to be congratulated for the excellent service they gave us during a recent move from London to Buckinghamshire. The service was prompt, punctual and efficient, both in terms of the move itself and in terms of response to emails and phone calls. I would recommend Friendly Van without reservation and intend using them again for a forthcoming move. They are outstandlingly good value for money and extremely pleasant to deal with - an excellent experience all round.

I would happily recommend Friendly Van to anyone moving house.
The guys from Friendly Van worked tirelessly for my recent move from a 2 bed flat to a 4 bed house.  They were well presented upon arrival and got stuck in straight away with a real sense of purpose.
At the other end, the guys unloaded the items and carried everything to the top floor of the house (which is 3 storeys) as we were about to start decorating.
Helpfully, they also disassembled and re-assembled my son's cot in a fraction of the time it would have taken me.
I don't plan on moving again anytime soon, but if I do I will definitely use Friendly Van again.

I'd definitely recommend Friendly Van. I've used them twice in the past few weeks, one for a job with work and one for moving house. Both jobs were done really well, very efficient, nothing was too much of a problem and the price quoted was great. David, Monika and Anna were really helpful in the office to co-ordinate payments etc. On the second job the guys were 20minutes late arriving as they were stuck in traffic, but Monika phoned me up to let me know what was going on so that's fine and traffic always happens in London!

My husband and I have moved 6 times in the last 6 years (not all of them good experiences) internationally and locally, and when we finally found somewhere we could put some roots down we realised with a sinking heart that we would have to move 'again'.  The very thought made us feel ill, even though we were only moving locally within North London.  A friend recommended 'Friendly Van' and when David came around to give us a quote we immediately felt we could trust him and that he would do a good job.  On the day we didn't need to do anything at all.  David and his team packed everything for us, disassembled our big furniture and reassembled it at the other end.  He took extra care with our precious items of wooden furniture, wrapping everything and looking after the entire process.  We didn't have to lift a finger.  They worked so hard, not even stopping for lunch, so that we could get it all done in one day.  We can't recommend them highly enough if you want a trustworthy removalist with a caring and friendly team.  We hope we don't have to move again for a very long time, but when we do, we'll definitely be using Friendly Van.  .
