Christian Brothers Moving and Storage

I recently used Christian Brothers Moving & Storage for a major cross-country move from Colorado, and they made what could have been a stressful experience completely smooth and worry-free. From loading to delivery, the service was top-notch, and everything arrived in perfect condition, just as it was packed.

A huge shout-out to the incredible crew who made this possible:

- Oscar Lopez (lead mover) was absolutely phenomenal. He was incredibly polite, respectful, and an absolute hustler (in the best way possible). He worked tirelessly with energy and care the entire time. When his helper at the unload never showed up, Oscar single-handedly unloaded an entire 3-bedroom house worth of items almost completely by himself and never once slowed down or complained. I can't say enough positive things about him. He's a true professional and a standout!

- The three other loaders Cesar, Edvin, and Yojan were equally impressive. They were very respectful, worked efficiently, and hustled throughout the entire loading process without any shortcuts.

Thanks to their careful handling and attention to detail, not a single item was damaged. All my belongings arrived exactly as they were when packed.

If you're planning a move (local or long-distance), I highly recommend Christian Brothers Moving & Storage, especially if you get this crew! They truly went above and beyond, and they deserve every bit of recognition.

I’m highly DISAPPOINTED with Christian Brothers Moving and Storage.  I chose Christian Brothers because they claimed to be a Christian Company, their rating with the BBB, and I wanted to support local businesses.  John, the sales person at Christian Brothers assured me my possessions would be in the best of hands if I chose them to do my move.  Unfortunately, this turned out to be the WORST moving experience ever!  Every piece of furniture was damaged due to Christian Brother’s gross negligence, recklessness, unprofessionalism, and complete disregard for my possessions.
When I called the local office to express my concerns for the way my belongings were packed and handled during the move, John, the sales person, became very defensive and rude and offered no solution. 

When I called the corporate office, I received the same attitude.  Doug, the Operations Manager, and Zack, the Regional Manager, told me it sounded as if I was having a case of “buyer’s remorse” and wanted my money back.  Each individual I spoke to, locally and corporate, claimed to be the highest level of management and that the decision was made and they would hear nothing more. 
I filed a claim with Christian Brother’s Insurance Company, Claims Adjusting Firm, along with photos of all the damage, and an estimate I received from a leather and wood craftsman to repair the damages (which was almost $3000), and waited patiently for a response.  6 months later, this was their response:

Dirty items.  Company is not responsible to clean any dirty furniture. Not covered under the carrier liability insurance.

NWT: normal wear and tear of a move, minor scratches. Not covered under the carrier liability insurance.
Item was picked up with previews conditions. Please refer to your inventory list {condition at origin} cannot pay for this item. 

Pressed wood- company is not responsible for pressed wood/formica items not covered under the carrier liability insurance, the reason is furniture made from pressed wood participles are easily broken when transported.
Unbelievable!  I have pictures from my Realtor to prove that there was No pre-existing damage to any of my furniture, my furniture was not dirty, and definitely was not made of pressed wood!  And the excuse of normal wear and tear of a move is totally unacceptable!  After disputing this, 2 months later, I received yet a completely different reason they were denying my claim:  The damaged items were wrap and packed PBO. Packed by the owner.  Yet another lie.  If I so called packed everything myself, then what did I pay Christian Brothers to do?!  Clearly, Christian Brothers will stop at nothing to get out of doing what’s right.

I would not recommend Christian Brothers Moving and Storage to anyone!  And I will do everything I can to get the word out that their business should not be used in any way for moving and storage. They cannot be trusted and could care less about your belongings.

Christian Brothers Moving and Storage provided us with an exceptional moving experience. From the very first call, I was impressed with how efficient and thorough their intake process was. They asked all the right questions to assess our moving needs and ensure they were fully prepared for the size and scope of our move.

The moving team was phenomenal—friendly, kind, and incredibly hardworking. Despite a full nine hours of moving, they maintained a positive, outgoing, and friendly attitude the entire time. Their professionalism and efficiency made the process smooth and stress-free.

Since our move involved downsizing, they seamlessly handled two separate stops—one to storage and one to our new home. This added convenience made a big difference for us. I would absolutely use Christian Brothers Moving and Storage for every move from here on out. Highly recommended!

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. Jimmy, Leo, Reinier, Christ and Henry were outstanding. They are polite, friendly, professional and organized. Although this was a tough move with some really heavy items, and access to my walk-out basement over loose rocks, they never complained. They worked together as an efficient team with great leadership.

The office is attentive and professional, and made sure I was fully informed of every aspect of the process. Sabrina and Mary are friendly and organized.

We had two trucks, with five movers for eight hours. I was skeptical that this would be enough. The team exceeded my expectations and were finished ahead of schedule. All of our belongings were protected, and there was no damage to my home, and it was kept clean.

I strongly recommend Christian Brothers. If I ever move again, they will be the only company I call. Thank you for a stress-free move.

After over a decade in our beautiful Colorado mountain home, we moved out of state. Based on the recommendation of two friends who had used Christian Brothers for their in-state moves, we contacted them. The communication back and forth was superb. They answered our questions promptly and efficiently. They sent an estimator out to our house to assess the move and recommended a solution that would best fit our needs at a fair price. They stayed in touch with us, and on the day of our move, October 15th, they were there on time with a truck and crew. Chris was the lead on the load-up and managed the crew to load our household goods into their truck. Joel and Remiel were the other loading crewmembers. They also expertly wrapped our fragile items and padded them in their truck. It took them about six hours to complete the load out, and they were polite, professional, and thorough. One of the loading crewmembers, Joel Blanco, drove the van to our new house in Texas. We arranged to meet him on October 18th for delivery. Joel stayed in touch with us by phone and text and was ready to unload at our new house as promised. David Vincent and Mario Perez helped him. All our household goods arrived in good condition. Joel directed his team expertly in unloading and placing our furniture and other items where we asked. Joel was professional, polite, and sincere in his efforts to give us a great move on the delivery of our items — just as he did when loading them earlier in the week. His positive “can do” approach made the move both successful and easy for us. We have the utmost respect for Christian Brothers Moving and Storage Company, and they have earned our highest praise and endorsement. We recommend you ask for Chris and Joel to be the ones on your moving crew. They are quite simply the best, and you will be happy with your move.

Memorial Day Heartbreak: My story is only that, my story.  This year on Memorial Day I was reminded of the unprofessional lack of integrity shown us by Christian Brothers Moving and Storage from our move in July '12. They misplaced 5 boxes of personal items which included the only tangible memory of my deceased father, his WWII uniform.  Besides the that were damaged items which all totaled over $4,000.  We bought the insurance for the delivery, but CB says unless we can prove we owned these items, we are out of luck. Their response, after 6 months, from the insurance included .60 per for 100 pounds, plus a gag order to keep us from saying anything to any press outlet.  We rejected their silly offer. Run fast from these movers.  People like manager Doug, and owner Brian will treat you with more disrespect than you can imagine and you will never see your items like the photo attached again.. Very, Very sad..

My wife and I contracted Christian Brothers for a local move in Texas. We were quoted a price of $2979.00 to move our belongings approx. 10 miles. Not the lowest price we recieved, but with the name Christian Brothers, we felt them to be trustworthly. First they were late arriving to pack. The next day the arrived late to pick up. The guys they sent to move us were not in neat clean uniforms as shown on thier website. Tattered jeans and T-shirts is what they wore. They took multible smoke breaks leaving cigarette butts in the drive at both houses. Finally, the price went up an additional $1082.50 (36%) over the quoted price. When we complained about the additional cost, the manager told us he would get back to us. He did not. They did charge our credit card for the additional amount. Do not be fooled by thier name, there is nothing Christian about this organization.

To start with the packers did not mark any of the boxes as in kitchen, master bedroom - none of the boxes were marked in any way. They caused over 1500.00 in damages- lost all the screws to make master bed and lost most of the rollers on my formal furniture. They also failed to pack 2 drawers and 1 cabinet in my kitchen. We had to drive to our old home with less than 12 hours before hurricane Harvey hit. Most of our furniture was damaged in some way. We have attempted to contact them and they basically refuse to help us. They even taped a screw to the top of my formal table and then proceeded to pile boxes on top of it. Needless to say I have a medium side screw indication on the top of my table.

I loved the guys who came and moved us out of our house they were fast and supper carful with our belongings However we stored our furniture and when I called they reassured me that the same guys would come and unfortunately it was a totally different team THEY WERE AWFUL!! I am not sure how you can go from one extreme to the next but it was!! I had so many issues they broke fountains broke the glass on my china hutch, snow blower handle ripped off, chunks of wood missing off my dresser, missing side rails to our master bed that is king size so very large pice of wood! Later they did find it however we had to go get it they always keep rescheduling. also lost our dolly, fountain piece, tent, and hose real. They also put huge scratches on walls moving my furniture in! I would not recommend they at all!!

The best thing I can say for them is they were fast. I should have known when they showed up at my door smelling like they just left a Grateful Dead concert. They took little care of our possessions. We even marked the boxes we packed and the items we did not pack, and they still ended up wherever they put them. Food and dishes in the garage, office supplies and files in the kitchen, and we are still trying to find some of the bedding and linens. We have moved our household a few times, and they were without a doubt the worst experience we have had. Avoid at all costs.

Worst moving company ever! I hired them, November 2022 and got a completely different attitude than they had when they were trying to selling me on their services. I paid for 3 men and only 2 showed up. Therefore the “contract” is void. They didn’t even bother to call me,

They just had the working movers tell me. When I called Jackie at the front desk, I learned real quickly what low EQ looks like. Beyond rude, said she charged my credit card anyways, zero conversation just her way. Then Kristin was just as bad mentioning “we have so much business we don’t even need your business- 100% factual quote. I actually Told her I started recording her because the bullying of me not doing a service I never signed off on to begin with. We were on the phone for at least 1 hour before she actually realized me being pregnant and sick that it was too much. 1 full hour and the worst company in denver. Can’t wait to spread the word to everyone! Stay away from their contracts- charge you upfront Before any work done.

The movers said the usually move “celebrities of luxury properties” which is odd that I’ve never even heard of them before. Definitely think they can do whatever and treat whoever the way they want.

Oh and did I mention On my “trip charge” they decided to just go back to the office and charge me for it? They had to pick up the 3rd driver and materials that they failed to bring on the 1st hour long trip charge they charged me.

Unbelievably rude, tried to blame everything on me, and are completely the worst customer service company in the state! Facts.

This company started out to be great, but when it came down to packing and moving and compensating lost and broken items, this company fails miserably!

They left a terrible mess in the house we were moving from, mud everywhere. When we asked them to keep our new house clean we were moving into we were told to buy our own blankets and things for the new house.

We gave an itemized list of what needed to be moved and this company was still unprepared and we had to pay extra because the movers didn’t look at the list.

We have missing items and several broken items which cannot be replaced. This company now will not return my call and emails. Before the move, they were extremely prompt.

This company is far from honest and certainly doesn’t display “Christian” morals like their name leads you to believe.

They were also the MOST expensive company there was even after

TWO discount codes were supposedly applied.

DO NOT ever use Christian Brothers Moving and Storage. Everything that could go wrong with a move went wrong with this company. For starters, I moved 3 blocks, less than 1/2 of a mile, and yet it took 2 days for the truck to deliver my possessions. The 2 movers stopped for lunch between the two locations and for some unknown reason decided to check the load. Yes - just 2 blocks from the original destination they decided to open the truck in a Safeway lot. When lowering the lift, the hydraulic broke and the lift fell to the ground so the truck was essentially stuck. There are only 2 reasons the movers would check the load after 2 blocks - either they heard something fall or they were planning on taking something. So, they had to move the furniture to a new truck and deliver my items the next day. No apologies from the company. Once the items came off the new truck the next day, nearly every piece of furniture was damaged. The mattresses were not covered as they promised, resulting in the delivery of dirty and torn corners on every mattress. Boxes were damaged with holes, plastic containers were scratched. Furniture was scratched and/or broken. Kitchen goods were shattered. They clearly did not load the truck in a professional manner.
Further, I had received a coupon for $500 off boxes after I booked the appointment. Despite this, and having an email to prove it, the movers continued to try and charge me for each box and told me there was no way I would get $500 off as that would be enough boxes to move an entire neighborhood. They eventually gave up after reading the email and discussing with management. This is the type of attitude I dealt with all day both days. A 3rd mover showed up the morning of the second day who gave me even more attitude when I requested that he not walk on the new carpet with his shoes. He left immediately and took off running through the neighborhood which was quite strange. I have no clue where he ran off to without a car. As I had to monitor what was going on inside my new place, I had friends and family come over to watch the truck outside to ensure he did not come back to steal anything.
I discussed the many issues with the office manager, Sabrina, the following Monday and she offered me a lousy 2 hours off the move. Again, no apologies. Not wanting to deal with the headache of litigation, I suggested 4 hours despite the fact that this did not come anywhere near the additional cost I incurred from the delayed delivery and negligence of the movers. I never heard back regarding this generous settlement which means I now have to pursue with litigation.
Lastly, I was never given a claim form for all the damage after requesting on numerous occasions. All claims must be submitted within 10 days and they likely were hoping I would fail to submit within the proper time frame without the form. I could go on, but I'm sure the point is made by now. This is the absolute WORST moving company I have ever dealt with and I highly recommend avoiding them at ALL COSTS.
