When crew arrived on the first day we saw how they worked as a team, took care of our items and were very good at what they did. We were very impressed and after moving around for the last 12 years, that was hard to do..... The packing job was done very well, on time and with no problems. Less than two weeks later the container arrived at our door, not one box was torn or opened and not one item was damaged. Nothing is missing, all the furniture is back together. I’m going to be fair, and tell you the pros and cons. Everything started great with Centennial for my move from Calgary to Toronto. I was provided a good quote, and my move coordinator Dave was excellent. He was very responsive, and gave very detailed responses to all my issues. The move was coordinated easily, and was scheduled for 24june21. Note, I heavily underestimated the weight, and the actual weight was substantially more. I was told it would be a big trailer coming which I assume would take my stuff from Calgary to Toronto, with minimal moving between trucks, but when a small truck arrived i knew my stuff would get handled twice as much. We have all travelled on airplanes with boxes, regular boxes packed in a regular way, and as we know these boxes arrive pretty beat up – same concept applies to movers, and this had me a bit worried knowing they would handle my stuff yet again. The crew who came to pick up the furniture were not very professional, but they did their job and didn’t damage anything – but I was expecting more of a professional service from “such a professional” moving company. My stuff was delayed beyond the 4 week estimate, but arrived in 7 weeks – not too bad, and the contract stated there are no guarantees so I cant place blame.

Then our stuff arrived. Very unprofessional movers – no masks, no booties. They had to be asked to put protective covers when taking large items upstairs as to not damage the house. They questioned us on why we used “such big boxes” – doesn’t matter, we don’t need to hear your opinion on how we packed. All the boxes had clear labels as to where they were to go. Yet they would still ask where things went, and huffed and puffed if something has to go upstairs. Also, they placed a bunch of stuff just in the garage instead of where it belonged – must be nice to just do whatever you want to reduce your workload. I had to then move a lot of these heavy boxes myself throughout the house over the next several weeks. And at the end they even asked for a tip…now lets talk about our stuff. Out of 6 pieces of bigger furniture, they broke/lost 3 pieces – that’s 50% of my large items broken or missing! The TV stand was literally crushed (not cheap Ikea stuff), and a custom bench was broken. We had a HUGE king size bed headboard size 8’x5’, which weighed over 200lbs – this was lost and never recovered. How does a moving company loose such a huge piece of furniture? Did they break it and just dump it? Did they decide it was too big and just didn’t care enough to move it? I have moved full family homes over 10 times, and have never broken anything like this, because I used common sense and cared. So we filed a claim on 16Aug, pretty angry that half of my furniture was broken by this super professional moving company who I paid over $7000 to. They responded 2 months later, and stated that I denied additional insurance (which I did, because im a regular person with regular stuff (not garbage), and none if it was super expensive that I needed extra insurance. I also didn’t think any of my stuff was easily breakable), therefore I would be only entitled to the basic insurance payout of 0.60c/lb. Also, there was a $300 deductible (per contract), so they ever so graciously offered me $145 to close the issue, with a stipulation that I cannot post negative reviews anywhere. After losing $3500 worth of stuff, and getting offered $145, it was a slap in my face. So I write this review which cost me $145, to tell you all about my experience. Note, Centennial did in no way breach the contract, so legally I have no recourse. I don’t believe breaking half of someone’s furniture is even remotely acceptable for a professional moving company, regardless of the insurance payouts. For Centennial who I’m sure will respond to this, yes you asked me 3 times if I needed extra insurance, and yes I declined.

Centennial did a very professional job of picking up the furniture in Edmonton and delivering it in Newmarket. It was a long distance move done in the middle of winter. The pickup and delivery staff were very good. The only issue was the timing with short notices given for the pick up times and delivery times. We had to make last minute plans around Christmas to be present for the pick up and short term plans to fly out for the delivery. The flights out for the delivery were made more difficult because airlines cancelled flights due to covid.

This company helped move my belongings across country. They were very accommodating from the get go which helped the process and the movers were very careful and the price was right. Unfortunately, there was a big snow storm so the truck arrived much later than expected. It would have been nice if I was called to be alerted however, when I called them they were apologetic and available to report back to me on the whereabouts of the truck. Overall, I think this is a good moving company.

This company is wonderful. I have never moved before, let alone across multiple provinces. My move from Ontario to Alberta was well planned out and very smooth! My items were picked up in 30mins or less (I packed them myself ahead of time) and when I received all my items at my new house it took no more than 1 hour for for them to unload and everything was in perfect condition. The staff was very helpful in explaining everything throughout the whole trip. Needless to say they helped take alot of the stress and anxiety away. The price was also alot cheaper than everywhere else I had tried getting a quote from. This company was recommend to me by my significant others mom (she had moved from Ontario to British Columbia) and I would definitely recommend them to anyone else planning a move across provinces!

Good move, the guys that came to pack up were extremely efficient and friendly. The move took shorter than expected (2 weeks from AB to ON), and drop-off was smooth.

Only points of confusion were space for the truck - we needed to pay additional fees for shuttle service - and organizing the delivery was a surprise. The delivery truck arrived a week earlier than the quoted window, and we had not yet had time to assess availability to specify dates or times that we would be unable to meet the truck when the delivery was scheduled and immovable without our input. Nice to have out stuff early, but a huge scramble and surprise.

Dave and his team were excellent! As soon I submitted my request, I was promptly contacted. I submitted my details and delivery was arranged. The team arrived on time, took 2 hours and were out. Very professional. Took around a month to receive my stuff in Calgary. Delivery was smooth as well and the team were on time, patiently delivered all the stuff and left. No issues at all. Absolutely recommended and Centennial will be my go to company for any next move. 5 stars :D

I recently organized a long distance move for my mother in law from Toronto Ont. to Armstrong BC. I first dealt with Dave at Centennial Moving,who helped us navigate the whole moving process. The Centennial crew showed up on time and made sure all the rules were followed that were laid out by the management office at her condo. The crew packed her belongings and loaded the truck in a professional manor. Eric from the Centennial dispatch team made sure we were kept informed through out the pick up ,delivery and unloading at her new home. The actual price came in a little lower then the on line estimate that we had filled out. I want to thank Dave and Eric as well as the whole team at Centennial Moving. Since my wife and I are also moving we selected Centennial to do our long distance move from Schomberg Ont.. to Armstrong BC. I'm positive our move will go as smooth as my mother in laws. .Paul

Centennial Moving was extremely helpful from the get go. From Xavier helping with the paperwork and time frame of when everything will get there, to Alex and the movers hauling everything in and keeping every item safe.

The price you get is exceptional. Moving from Winnipeg to Vancouver was initially a thought of too much money but it was perfect for what we paid and brought out.

I will definitely use this company again in the future.

My daughter needed to move her bedroom furniture from Calgary to Vaughan. From my first contact with Centennial Moving Co., they were professional, gave a clear estimate, and followed up to confirm all arrangements. On moving days they were right on time, (very aware of covid restrictions), plastic wrapped the furniture, and disassembled a huge king sized bed. They made the delivery on Calgary 10 days later and moved the furniture and reassembled it at the new apartment. I highly recommended Centennial Moving for their reasonable prices, follow up, and on-time careful movers. They made the move a great experience.

We recently moved from Toronto to Kelowna, BC using Centennial. From pick up date to the delivery night, we were impressed beyond expectations. We had organized our belongings as best we could in Toronto in order to accommodate the mover’s needs, then were pleased to watch as boxes were double-checked to ensure they were securely taped. All items were diligently inventoried by the movers and items that needed extra protection were wrapped with moving blankets, then taped to keep the blankets secure. We hadn’t even thought to wrap our Chrome dining chairs - they wrapped those too. Once the initial truck was loaded, we were told because of the cross-country move, the delivery could take up to 4 weeks, possibly longer, as they had to fill the 70’ moving truck before sending it West. We understood and started our drive the next morning.

We arrived in West Kelowna and received an email that our belongings were to be delivered within 2 days. Much shorter wait than the 4 weeks previously estimated! When the movers arrived to the house, we were surprised to see one of the same fellows that packed us up in Toronto! They laid protective carpets from the front door right into the front room, where we were storing everything. We watched as they unloaded the moving truck with care and diligence, asking each time they entered with the items where we wanted it put. A final inventory check was performed, all was delivered and everything was in great condition. Our quote was relatively the same as the final bill, only fluctuated slightly because the final weight was slightly above the original estimate.

Overall, we were extremely pleased with Centennial Movers and recommended them highly. Great job!

I recently bought a house in Toronto so was moving from Montreal from an upstairs 2 bedroom apartment. I changed my move date a couple of times as refurbishment took a little longer than I had anticipated. I was told the movers would arrive between 8 .am and 8:30 a.m. They arrived early at 7:50 a.m. Mike, Martin and Serge completed the load quickly and professionally. I especially appreciated that they put the heavy items where I instructed at the delivery so I only had to unpack the boxes in the rooms where the items belonged. I will use them again.

Had a really great moving experience with Dima, Mike, and Jose. All 3 guys showed up early in the AM, on time, ready to go, and easy to work with. I was moving a long distance from Calgary to Toronto and these guys were able to pack up our furniture from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor with ease. (Well let's face it, it wasn't easy, but these guys made it look that way.) Overall the guys were efficient, fun to converse with, and didn't waste any time loading and unloading. The rates were also very reasonable.

I used Centennial Moving to move my items from Toronto to Calgary. The sales and dispatch team were really helpful and always made sure that everything went smoothly and kept me updated on what was going on.

All the items arrived in Calgary and most of them were in good condition. I did unfortunately received a broken screen for one of my items but the claims team were generous to offer me some compensation for it.

Overall, I am happy that I chose Centennial Moving to move my items

I needed to move a fair size one bedroom apartment worth of furniture from Calgary to Toronto. Centennial were the best. They arrived on time, packed everything perfectly, and finished on time. They also arrived early in Toronto. I am not quite finished unpacking but so far nothing is dented, broken, or scratched. If I ever need to move again, this is the company I would chose. Oh .. they were also the lowest priced of 5 firms who bid on the move. Perfect? I think they are as close to perfect as they get.

Do NOT deal with Centennial Moving!!!

When we signed up (in good faith!) with Centennial Moving back in June, their employee Luke (who recently left this moving company) told us "it can take up to 21 business days to receive your belongings." The 2 men arrived June 26th in Chilliwack, BC. I asked 1 of them what the chances were we'd received our items earlier than 21 business days?" He replied "You will NEVER receive your furniture in 21 business days!" My husband and I were shocked to say the least! Still, we remained hopeful that Centennial will stick to what they said. But no. So here we wait, as the latest update, after OUR numerous calls and emails, is END OF AUGUST!!! Warren, the so-called supervisor, told us our load missed the Toronto "cutoff date" of the 15th of the month by 4 days, therefore our load now sits in a Toronto warehouse, as they only have 1 truck a month to the east coast. They blamed the heat wave, they blamed a lack of manpower, the list goes on. This is what they do for a living! They're generic response to a bad review goes like this --- "We are terribly sorry for the unpleasant experience you had with us. Whilst an apology will regrettably not alter the outcome of your experience on this case, we do extend it with sincerity." Pathetic continuous copy & paste! THEY DON'T CARE ONE BIT!

This is an absolutely horrible lack of professionalism! We're both seniors, living in a home with no furniture, except for what we had to go out and purchase in the meantime (a bed, after sleeping weeks on an air mattress) What should have been a happy move to Nova Scotia to retire has turned into a nightmare! Please everyone, DO YOUR RESEARCH THOROUGHLY! We thought we did, and look where it got us. We didn't pick the least expensive mover nor the most expensive, but in hindsight, we would NEVER have chosen Centennial Moving... BEWARE!!!

The crew was fabulous - can't say enough good things about them. It was not an easy move and required a lot of planning. They were incredibly helpful and professional. They worked straight through and were willing to help with any matter - big or small. It was the most fun I've ever had moving! In particular, the head mover was incredibly helpful, with a real can-do attitude. Zero complaints - he just got on with it even when things were proving difficult (with the access at delivery). He found a solution and made it work. I was so grateful to him. The best thing for me was the way the office was on top of what was happening and making recommendations on how to handle the move. If they hadn't suggested having 3 instead of 2 movers to deliver we may not have been able to complete the move.

I used Centennial moving for a long distance move from Ottawa to Calgary. Considering the many different factors that can go wrong, and the complexity of a long distance move, I am pleased with their performance. Generally the process was smooth, the team was professional, and my stuff arrived in good condition. The communication with the staff/dispatch is great, they are quick to respond and informative. The main negative is not really having control over your pick up and drop off dates, so there needs to be some flexibility there (which, luckily, I had). Also there was no warning when the movers came to pick up the stuff (they just showed up on the date, during the window), but this was fixed very quickly and effectively for the drop off, as the dispatch team was in touch with me throughout the morning.
