Best Interstate Moving and Storage

I recently moved from Michigan to Arizona. I called Best Interstate first and then panicked when I had to pay a down payment and canceled, they returned my money immediately. As it turned out the co owner Jaqlyn Jordan of this broker called me personally. They were the only company that would store my possessions for 30 days for FREE! I was thrilled as it ended up I didn't need the storage. The pick and delivery went smoothly. We also shipped two cars and that was smooth sailing. I had Jaqlyn's cell which i'm sure she regrets but she answered every question quickly with no delay. Refunds were processed quickly. I would recommend this Broker. Best Interstate, to anyone who would like an easy move. .

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $8000

Helped me schedule a last minute move due to unforeseen circumstances and were able to provide me with a pick up an delivery that I needed. The men who picked up my furniture did a great job protecting the furniture. My initial estimate was lower than the actual price but some of this was due to underreporting of the number of boxes to be carried. The pricing is based on weight though, so it is fair. They weigh the truck before arriving, and you follow them to the weigh station after they load your stuff to see the final truck weight. The final weight determines what your remaining balance will actually be. Delivery was a little more hectic. I was given a verbal guarantee for delivery a few days later at my new home, however I found out that day as I was in my house that the carrier service dispatcher had sent the men a couple hundred miles away for another job instead and that it would be a few days. I contacted the broker service, who helped me resolve the issue. They were very polite. I also got in touch with the carrier directly to bark up the tree a bit more and was eventually told I would have my stuff delivered the next day between 2-6pm. After waiting all day the next day and talking with both companies again, I eventually was able to confirm they were intact going to deliver that day. My stuff was delivered, however the delivery truck did not arrive at my house until after 10pm. The delivery men themselves were very nice and did a good job, but I believe the actual carrier service was spreading their services pretty thin and overworking their employees. The brokerage service however, was helpful and nice the whole time. We did lose one box of kitchenware, however the broker refunded us the cost of the box without any hassle. Overall, I think the broker is an asset to help communication between the client and the carrier as well as ensuring the carrier services holds up to their end of the contract as originally agreed. They ultimately make sure the carrier service is held accountable for what they say they will do and help resolve any delays or disputes should they arise.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6654

Moving is terrible and to plan a move across the country is the worst. I regret the day I called Best Interstate Moving & Storage. My salesperson, Mike Weiss, promised me the moon. When I told him of a specific budget I had to work with, he said "no problem." They came back with a price of $9000. and I hired them. I was moving on 12/26/18 and relocating from NM to TN where my husband was already. The movers came at 9am and to my surprise, a different moving company showed up, Eden's Moving out of Denver. I was not told they hired out moving companies!! Their driver, Amir told me I was misquoted and my fee went from $9000 to $14,000!! I had to be out of my rental house, I was all alone and had to travel to TN! I had no choice. When I told the drive I could not afford that, he said, and I quote: "I don't care, I will leave now!" Disgusting. I called Mike Weiss as well as emailed him and NO response. Eden's Moving hired men in ABQ to come to pack us up and they were horrible. One of the packers even ate food that was to be for our 20-hour trip. This is the biggest "BAIT & SWITCH" scheme I've ever witnessed and had the misfortune of being a part of!!

I was promised mattress protectors, never received them. They horribly wrapped them in plastic wrap and since it was snowing the day they picked up my furniture everything got wet and was still wet when it showed up 3 weeks later!!

Like I mentioned delivery was three weeks later and when they showed up, it was a driver and a female helper who was to deliver ALL my furniture. I paid $14000 for two people?!?!?! My husband and I unwrapped ALL the furniture because we were done!! The driver showed up 2 1/2 hours after he told us and trying to reach him was a joke. To make a very long sad story short, he left ALL the boxes and furniture that had to be put together in the garage because he could not find the "Parts Box." The "Parts Box" (which is clearly marked) was buried at the bottom of the pile. I have boxes and boxes of broken pottery and furniture that is still missing parts and NO ONE from EDEN or BEST INTERSTATE MOVING & STORAGE CALLS YOU BACK!! The moving issues I am dealing with Eden's moving and they don't respond back either. It's a shame how people can be so coldhearted!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BEST INTERSTATE MOVING & STORAGE!! YOU ARE NOT SAVING ANY MONEY. GO WITH A REPUTABLE COMPANY THAT WILL COME OUT TO YOUR HOME AND WORKS WITH YOU. BEST INTERSTATE MOVING & STORAGE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING COMPANY OUT THERE!!

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $14000

I highly advise you NOT Best Interstate Moving and Storage. They start off great with customer service cause they want your business. Unfortunately, after the move, their customer service resulted to blaming the moving company they procured for me for breaking my furniture. Relo Van Lines broke my $2,000+ wooden bed frame and dress-suit valet stand. The movers actually acknowledged that it was broken because the pieces were so damaged that they could not put it together. They agreed to remove my wooden bed frame from my apartment because it was actually unsafe to sleep on. After over 6 months of emailing Best Interstate Moving Company that procured Relo Van Lines, nothing has been done. Relo Van Lines does not respond cause they don't care and Best Interstate Moving Company just points the finger at Relo Van Lines. I need to keep following up with them all they say is that they've reached out to Relo Van Lines and that the claim is in process. They obviously don't care because they made their $ and just blame someone else. My guess, they are still using Relo Van Lines to move others. I hope you all have better luck. Advise: Do not use both of them!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4300

First, they will tell you everything you want to hear upfront and not honor any of it. We booked packing and moving services. They said they would give me my worst case estimate which wasn’t even close to the worst case. 2- when reviewing the terms the agent stated it could take 21 days to move my items of which I said I can’t do that and she preceded to tell me not to worry about it bc we had a full truck and it would be delivered quickly. It is suppose to be delivered on Jan 9th! They didn’t show up like they were suppose to on dec 19th to start packing and showed up at 1pm on dec 21st the day all my stuff needed to be out of my house. Numerous times they said they would be coming and never showed up with me continuing to call them. Needless to say they didn’t get it out until dec 22nd which we had to pay for an extra day plus fees to cleaners for moving service dates last minute. The people packing were less then careful and damages my walls and baseboards numerous times and spilled RED Gatorade on my floors and never told me about any of it! They rolled my round table out on the edge, called wrapping TVs in a blanket with cardboard around it as “Crating”, drop many of our items and were not even close to be careful or respectful. This is a broker and they sub out to others which is where the problem begins. This was never communicated acted to me upfront and now I have the broker and the transportation service pointing fingers at each other for who’s fault. Now today I got a call that the earliest they can and will deliver is Jan 5th to Jan 9th. When I specifically stated on the recorded call line about my issues that I needed my delivery the following week. I have a special needs child and living like this is NOT acceptable. They said the contract said they actually have 21 days from the earliest date they can drop off which also was never communicated up front. Don’t use them at all! I asked to have the owner reach out to me and the manager said he was on vacation and she couldn’t do that. We are going to seek legal counsel due to the consistent lies being told and lack of transparency. We have moved many times and NEVER have we has the issues we have encountered.

BIMS contacted My moving reviews and had my last review removed. Funny enough, the entire review was 100% our experience with this fraudulent, unethical company. We moved from California to the east coast. First and foremost, we got uncharged on packing materials. If we had not packed 2/3 of our house with our own boxes and supplies, we would have owed thousands in extra costs. It was a nightmare from the beginning - Hardly any communication from our coordinator, didn't even know when packers would arrive. Stuff literally thrown into boxes - we found fragile lamps with bathroom scales. My iMac literally put into a box without any protection. A horseshoe of a job. Then, at arrival, one guy said he was a convicted felon, the other vomited all over my backyard. None of them with the same company that packed us- they were from the home depot parking lot (inner city). None of them had any experience assembling things and we have over 40 missing boxes. BIMS knows they were negligent, they provided the credit card company fraudulent documentation. Canceled their contract with the carrier and offered a measly settlement if I would take down my review. Pursuing legally for breach of contract and negligence. STEER CLEAR!!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $24000

I cannot speak enough praise about Best Interstate. We had our previous company fall through, and we found ourselves in need of a truck in 3 days, to move 730 miles! Mae was able to walk me through the process and get our inventory detailed. We set everything up on Friday afternoon around 3pm. Saturday we were in constant communication with Tequela. The movers (Helix) were supposed to arrive Wednesday, but the weather wasn’t ideal, so Thursday morning two Helix movers were able to pack up the entire truck in 4.5 hours. They departed at 1pm and they were professional/well mannered. The next day, the crew of 3 delivering our belongings called with a delivery time of 12:30/1:00pm. They arrived at 12:30 and began unpacking. The only hold up was Best Interstate approving the payment amount because the movers were so fast! We got them paid, and they departed at 5:30pm with everything put together in the correct rooms. Tequela, again, was in constant communication and was able to answer any questions we might have. We will be buying a house next year, and this is the moving company we will use, and recommend to others.

Everything arrived well yesterday and seems all in order.

Amir and his helper Tyrell did a great job and final fee was paid at $950 (cash) as expected.

The pickup crew two weeks ago Vincent and Tony also did a great job.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $2971

They cannot guarantee anything, since they're just connecting you to other movers- a middleman, really. They can keep your items for up to "21 business" days after pick up, and they cannot even guarantee a pickup day, even though it seems obvious people need to know that kind of "specific" information. Please don't go with them. Protect your home, your money, and your time and use a different company.
Look up their rating on Better Business Bureau and you'll known everything you need to know. Can't believe I let myself fall for their false promises.

I was referred to BIMS by another moving company when I was searching for estimates for moving my elderly parents across country. BIMS is a dispatch service that coordinates with moving companies- this keeps the normally high cost of moving, affordable!

The representatives at BIMS were helpful and very responsive. Additionally, the inventory process was painless!

The moving company that BIMS contracted with were AMAZING. I’m a retired military spouse & have never experienced the care and attention provided by the movers.

I will be recommending BIMS to everyone facing a cross country move!
