Best Interstate Moving and Storage

I had a small issue with the third party contracted to move my belongings after the move was completed, although they did deliver everything in perfect condition. It was my first move by an actual moving company & didn't know what to expect. Best Interstate called me immediately & fixed the problem even though they're in the midst of Hurricane Irma. I was very impressed with their friendliness & patience & I would recommend Best Interstate to anyone planning a move. They definitely came through for me!

I saw this company’s review on move.org and decided to place an inquiry. Within moments, I got a call back. I spoke with Frank and he walked me through the process. I was rushed because my company was relocating me from Georgia to New Jersey but they needed me there in three weeks. Frank took all the stress away from the inventory process. I was thankful to learn they could do it all over the phone. I didn’t have to have someone come out to inspect my home. Best provided me with a pick up window and delivery and while it would have been ideal to have it delivered earlier, I understood it was part of the process. They saved me a ton of money. My items arrived undamaged. I would highly recommend this company.

I wasn’t sure what to think when I heard Best Interstate was a broker. It wasn’t something I was familiar with but enjoyed speaking with Travis on the phone. I grew to understand how much time, and money they would help me save. I booked a move to New Jersey and just had my things delivered. I was able to order boxes from their website and they were delivered to my door. I priced out how much it was going to be to buy them at Home Depot and I saved at least 15% and I didn’t have to transport them all over town. If you’re in a rush to move like I was, I strongly suggest you hire Best Interstate. They made my life easier and I wanted to tell others about their business.

I hired Best Interstate Moving and Storage to ship two book cases and a dry sink from Augusta, Georgia to Junction City, Kansas. I The dispatcher called me two days before the pick-up, the driver called me the day of pick-up on April 6, 2018 to tell me he was one hour away. The driver arrived exactly one hour later, wrapped the furniture, loaded it and was on his way in about an hour. I was told the furniture should be delivered on April 8, 2018. I was skeptical about the deliver date as it was a Sunday. My brother texted me on April 10, 2018 to tell me that the three items had arrived and that the back (press board) of one of the book cases was cracked in shipment. This is cheaply and easily replaced. All in all a satisfactory, timely shipment.

As I'm sure most everyone knows, moving can be a very stressful and expensive endeavor. After calling multiple moving companies and brokers to obtain quotes for moving my 87-year-old mother from California to Colorado, it was like a breath of fresh air dealing with Best Interstate Moving and Storage. I have yet to go through the actual move, but just obtaining the quote told me I could trust this company. I was trying to get the best possible deal I could for my mom and was told that if I received a better quote from a comparably-rated company, Best would match it. I also informed David Barr, my reservation specialist, that my dad had been in the service. In light of these two facts, David worked his magic and quickly matched the better quote. The company has been such a pleasure to deal with thus far and I've communicated with at least ten other moving companies. They ARE NOT all created equal! If the rest of the moving process goes as expected, I'd be happy to write another review recommending Best and David even more emphatically. I was so happy to be able to do this for my mom without it costing her an arm and a leg. Thank you, David. You're the best!

Moved from Harrisburg, Pa to Charlotte, NC. The initial moving forecast over the phone went seamlessly. Communicated with a direct sales rep and covered all of my belongings and what materials would be necessary. The next process is working with customer service. Their main role is to broker the move with their contractors and customer. The pick-up went well as the movers showed up during the approximate time window and worked very hard.

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the delivery. Customer service confirmed a Sunday delivery date. Still living in Harrisburg, it was imperative that I had all of my ducks in with work before I drove down to meet the team. Sunday arrives and I was then quoted a Monday delivery. Monday arrives and I was then quoted a Thursday delivery. By this time it was impossible for me to stay down there and had to travel back up for work obligations.

Long story short, I needed to deviate the logistical plan and have my belongings sent back up to Harrisburg. Their team did a great job re-routing my belongings while maintaining a reasonable quote. 2 hours before the delivery (which was on time). I've had plenty of movers in my day and these guys were by far the best I've had. Extremely respectful with top notch output.

Overall, the moving business certainly isn't an easy one and this company is one of the highest regarded. Pros - very convenient inventory and quote process, responsive customer service, and great moving contractors. Cons - I wasted a 16 hour round trip because the delivery was moved from Sunday ALL the way to Thursday.

I moved from Chicago to TN after living my whole life there. The customer service at Best is outstanding. Not a day went by when they didn't contact me to see how I was doing and was there anything I needed to change on our original quote. The price was significantly lower than others I had received from other companies. I also secured this company to transport my car. Everything was moved without a hitch. Movers were polite and hard working. I moved from Chicago on a very rainy day and the movers were very careful with their shoes on the carpet. Everything arrived in the order they had quoted. I would definitely recommend them for your long distance move. Great on the details.
