This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. Multiple people at the company openly lied about their terms. This is a broker that connects you with an actual mover on both ends. The moving company they connected us with to pack our things was terrible as well. The lead mover showed up to our apartment and immediately demanded a bribe on the side so he wouldn't say that our move was overweight (even though American Plus told us we should overestimate our shipment in advance - we already overestimated how much weight and space we would need). After we told the mover that we were sure we would have enough space on the truck, he began to shout at my wife and argue with her.

Brokers who low ball with a mile-long contract and only take money in ways you can’t dispute. Contract allows them to charge thousands more to get your things. There is even a clause that states contract is binding even if a violation of Florida law. Michael locks you in then Gabby and her boss are helpful to get movers but then hang up when your stuff is picked up by an outsourced company that also has a less-than-preferred contract (like a 2k nondisputable fee). We were delayed 10 days getting our things picked up and were required to sign another contract or lose our initial deposit. We finally got all of our stuff safely and managed to not pay the $5k over the estimate that they didn’t report until the day of delivery, but we were lucky. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Start with our first experience of dealing with "Jim Brock" we HAD to make the decision that minute to go with them or loose out!.. Next day called and NO JIM BROCK working for them anymore! Price increased 3 times before move, and when we tried to get out of it all, we would loose our deposit. Promised 2 week, then told it would be maybe a month. First contract signed for a small move of 25 items that more than tripled by the time the move was done. We spent over $5000 for our items to arrive damaged and some items missing! Sure we have the insurance, which was never explained to be only .69 a pound and never offered anything else! NOW working with insurance is just as big of a nightmare! This company delivered about one third of my actual belongings. Of the two thirds that were delivered, only a portion were not broken or damaged. They delivered my piano without the legs. They altogether did not deliver my childrens bunk beds. They broke my washing machine and China cabinet, tore 2/5 mattresses, broke the glass top to my coffee table and then said they threw it away prior to arrival due to how broken it was, I did not receive the large three piece mirror for the top of our major chest of drawers- it simply didn’t arrive- just like the bunk beds and bookshelf. This is only what I’ve found so far. I would never recommend this broker or the company they hired. Save yourself money and heartache and go somewhere else with your business. Also, always get third party insurance. The insurance these companies provide is at a 60 cent per pound compensation so you are severely underpaid for your lost or damaged items. Again, save yourself frustration and money and go somewhere else.

Whatever you do, do not use this company. They are extremely unprofessional and rude. They took my deposit and when my items were picked up the disappeared off the face of the earth. Its been almost 3 months now and I still have no gotten all my stuff. they don't return calls/emails/texts, I had to call the west palm beach police department to file a report before anyone called me back. I am pursuing this further as we speak . Do not use them, its been an awful few months. I can't believe they are still in business.. They should be shut down.

I hope my experience helps others not have to go through the same. Run from this company. I just got my items 26 days later which was yesterday and was filing complaints as the movers drove away. First of all they lure you in then sell to subcontractors so no one knows what’s going on. Everything goes perfectly until the truck drives away with your things. Then no one returns calls or passes you off to someone else. I guess bc of the numerous subcontractors. I spoke with Martin- Alexis- Maria- Gabby- numerous drivers dispatch and a couple other “quality control” They the subcontractors fly in guys from Jersey who demand money to “give you less items “ or want 200 for going up my stairs plus a tip. These are just 2 items. Also took multiple breaks and left cigarettes buts in my yard! You will have to pay cash upfront at delivery and sign away your life before they unload your items while threatening to drive away with everything. Be prepared for damaged boxes damaged items. I have a video of one of my boxes being broke in front of me. No big deal right! I plan on filing claims with anyone and everyone I can. I am still unpacking still

Looking for obvious things that are missing. Do your homework. Research and stay away from big name companies who hold your items hostage until you give more money. Our quote went from 3700 to 6700. 1200 in wrapping. We sold our biggest items. Changed units on us when we were signing contracts from Weight to sq feet. They scuffed up our walls and left hand prints and now needs repainted. Photos to proves. Literally tossing boxes , are upside down. I mean literally broke! This is a person life and well-being and I am in tears for what has happened to us. They wanted to “toss” our boxes in the upstairs window to avoid the stairs. If they are willing to do this in front of the owner how were my things treated behind the scenes. First conversation was counting stairs demanding a huge tip for 3 guys and on the phone ( both parties) arguing over an hour. They tried to unload everything including bed in garage. After some very persistent contact techniques, I was finally locked into a "great rate" after another customer canceled their portion of the route. I completed the inventory summary with a gentleman named Max and explained my apartment layout relative to the garage. Both the inventory and the distance from the truck to my door were "no big deal" and approached in a very nonchalant manner.

The day prior to the move I reached out to American Plus indicating I would need a few more items added to my inventory and I wanted a better picture of the cost. The response from the Quality Assurance department was as follows "The movers will be able to assess whether you need more space or not at the pickup. There are not many items you need to add, so it should not be a big deal."

Upon the movers' arrival, they were speechless for some time which related to how poorly estimated the cubic footage was based on the inventory. The gentleman assessing the space indicated all of my items on the inventory list were present yet they were not accurately represented in size. After conferring with American Plus on the misquote, I was told the system to reconcile size relative to selected item was "not perfect." Thankfully, I anticipated the costs to be somewhat higher yet the move nearly cost me DOUBLE the original quote. I fear there are less fortunate folks spending their last penny to move who do not have the capacity to scrounge up an additional $1700 in a short amount of time. This practice of providing a narrow quote based on an antiquated system is both misleading and borderline predatory. Similarly, what if there was no space on the truck for my things because of this?

The individuals physically moving the items were very pleasant and professional, counter to my experience with American Plus.

I write this review not for any recompense, only to inform fellow consumers to request a better assessment of their belongings for a move.

Used this company for our move . Once they booked us and took the $$$ we have not been able to get in contact with anyone. Was told we would hear from someone 24hrs before the 2 day window estimate but. Finally got Apollo to pick up his phone he said he was going to find out what was going on and call me back. Now the office is closing in 15 mins still waiting. Been calling ALL DAY No answer at the customer service number, emails have not had a response and voicemail messages have not been returned. Tired the entire day until the office closed.

This is the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. Their sales person will lie to get your booking. They create a sense of urgency and tell you they can give you the best deal . My sales person told me “ your price is guaranteed, (after I gave him an itemized list ) Told me it would be picked up and delivered on specific days.

, they would wrap and cover all large items and everything was included in the price he gave me. They showed up 2 days after the scheduled pick up date, charged my card first for the 2nd payment,broke down my couches and then said that it would be another $3500 and to add insult to injury- btw, the packing tape and packing blankets are extra! AND that it could take up to 21days to get my stuff!! The salesperson confirmed a specific date that I based my airline ticket, work and rental on. Their customer service is anything about servicing the customer and there was not one person that I spoke to including a supervisor, that was helpful or the least bit concerned about the inconsistencies that were sold to me.

If you’re planning a move ... DON’T use this company- they will lie about EVERYTHING!!!!!

American Plus Moving and Storage and their subcontractor, AMM Trucking, should have their licenses revoked. My movers arrived 5 hours past the pickup window. They didn't have tools to disassemble my bed and had to leave for about 40 minutes on a Sunday night so they could buy tools. They lost one of my boxes in the move. My mattress was delivered a week later than the rest of my furniture. My furniture was badly damaged and they will pay virtually nothing for it to be repaired/replaced. The final price for the move was more than double what I was quoted. They gave misinformation about acceptable payment methods and threatened to not deliver my furniture unless I paid in cash or a money order. Do not use these moving companies!

At first, they asked me over double price, since 4100to Almost 9000, and threat me that, if I want to get my packages, I have to pay.

2,they were rude moving and destroy my wall and stairs everywhere, when I asked them doing carefully, they refused and threat me they would leave right now, and will take my stuffs on their truck.

3, the service center likes a AI robot, never give any answer and just ask client to claim by paper work.

4, delay a lot, never on time.

5, lack of labor, and ask client as a free labor to help them move.

6, they don't really control the delivery schedule , they even don't know what time your package will be delivered, they gave me the wrong date, always wrong date, whatever arrived or deposit.

7:their customer manager would hang up client's call.

All the good review on this page are fake and trap, don't believe them, don't pass your case on them. This company is a real suck asshole and jerk, all their mover's attitude looks like crime with awful attitude and behavior.

This company, in particular Joe, Andy and the rest of the pig-headed/sexist male sales agents are con artists. They will give you prices and timeframes that they know are too low. I ended up paying double, no idea where my stuff currently is, and can't get an ETA on the delivery.

I managed to contact the carrier directly and they explained that hte timeline given by the sales agents at American Plus are intentionally wrong. It can take up to 20 days to get your stuff. ALSO, apparently for a fee you can schedule your delivery for an exact day. Wish i had known that. Shame on the men in their sales offices. They hung up on me, refused to transfer me to customer service, never returned calls when they said they would. Im from NY and have thick skin, but these guys reduced me to tears. Deplorable and I will be escalating this.

This whole experience has been profoundly disappointing. American Plus Moving and its sub-contractor did not perform as contracted.

1. Despite our specifically identifying the objects to be moved, your estimate of 1,200 cu ft appears to have been too low.

2. The team that arrived at our home yesterday had little, if any, experience conducting the move. They were very young and inexperienced. They had a hard time even driving the truck, and in doing so broke two pavers pictured below. They refused to move furniture because it was “too heavy” unless we agreed to pay more. We requested a refund in on deposit and they refused.

I would not recommend using this company. Once they receive your deposit their customer service goes downhill quickly they do not ever return your call. I gave them a deposit & received only 1 call confirming the date but they couldn't give me the name of the company that would be picking my items up so I could fill out the money order. They told me I would receive another call the next day with that information never received another call. I did however receive an email saying they would be delayed & couldn't pick up my items on the scheduled day. They didn't know when they could get them picked up. I kept calling & everything goes straight to voice mail. You leave a voice mail & no return call. I finally got through so I could cancel & get my deposit refunded. I was told that the accounting department had to take care of that & they would send them an email & that I was to receive an email back from them within an hour I asked for a phone number for the accounting & was told they couldn't give me a phone number everything had to go through email to contact them. No email received. 2 days later no email for my deposit refund. I called every two hours trying to get through everything goes straight to voice mail with no return call. I am still continuing to get my refund but doubt I will ever see it. So they take your deposit & disconnect all customer service communication.

AVOID BOOKING YOUR MOVING WITH THEM! They are BROKERS, and they do not take responsibility with last minute cancellations. My move was scheduled between June 25th and 26th, from MI to OH. On June 25th, I finally got a call from Gabby at the end of the day, reporting that the move was not happening since they could not find anyone. I did not hear from them until June 28th, when Gabby told me that they could not find anyone for the week, and that MAYBE, the move could happen in a couple of weeks. As you can imagine, this is unacceptable, since I was already paying extra for extending my stay in MI. At the end, I moved with a U-Haul with the help of some local movers.

Now, American Plus Moving and Storage had already charged me around $1200. Since this company was unable to provide the service, I should be getting my full refund. I haven’t had my money back. Contacting their finance department is impossible, and customer service almost never answers. I finally got a reply when I left a review in the Better Business Bureau, but the company defends themselves stating the dates are only estimates. As a result, they practically stole my money. AGAIN, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Take a look at all the reviews. They are either 1 star or 5 stars, which is suspicious. Multiple customers have had my same experience as you can see in the reviews. For now, I just hope this company gives me back my money.

My quote was significant underquoted despite assurances from the salesman that he was including extra cubic feet to take care of me and avoid this. I ended up being charged almost double what I was quoted. They repeated pushed my pick up date back. I have called repeatedly and was informed that I would received call or email back and this has never happened. My items were picked up on June 13th with deliver between June 18th and June 23rd. It is now July 7th and I have been told that they still don't know when my items will be delivered. Again, I have called several times and never receive a straight answer.
