I am a single father with 4 kids. I took a promotion which required a quick unexpected relocation. We were moving from Seattle to Ft. Lauderdale. After going on-line and filling out an inquiry I was more stressed out with the number of responses from different moving companys than I was with the initial pre-moving jitters. After narrowing it down to 3 companys, I decided to go with United Relocation, in particular my moving coordinator James Ware who took a frazzled father of four and took this otherwise despised experience and made it not only tolerable, but rather pleasant. I made the terrible mistake of reading all the nightmare reviews that others wrote in regards their moves and am so happy to be able to report not one of them even came close to happening to me. Every promise that was given by United and James was delivered on. As im sure you can imagine, 4 kids come with enough stress, I didn't need any unfulfilled promises. My kids and I would reccomend United Relocation to Everyone! Thank you again James.

I recently moved from Nyack, New York to San Diego, California in a short period of time. Mike was extremely helpful with everything from start to finish, explained how the move would go from being to end. I was concerned with extra fee that would pop up due to a friend having that experience in the past, exactly what I was quoted is what I paid. Everything was picked up in a timely fashion just as I was told within in the 2 hour window. All my belongings showed up with nothing broken or scratched on the exact day they said it would be delivered. I was extremely nervous about moving cross country, Mike made my move absolutely wonderful. Over all I was extremly happy with United Relocation.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4700

My Husband and I retired to Kentucky from Florida, after many sleepness nights worried about animals, loading heavy items, and concerned about get personal vehicles there as well. My friend has use them and United Relocator LLC did a great job for her.
A couple more night of convincing my husband to let's just check it out. I called and spoke at length with a very courteous man by the name of Doug Dekker.
I can't say enough about the stressless moving experience we had. They packed the truck and delivered it exactly when it was expected.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1200

Never have I encountered such caring compassionate professionals. I was so comforted by my agent Alison who was so informative and genuine. We did a full inventory of the items they would be moving in and my price was based on pounds not the typical ripoff cubic feet. The price was much lower than the quotes from other companies. The movers arrived right on schedule and everything went smooth. I even took advantage of the storage they offer. The items also arrived on time and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4280

In the month of Feburary we had asked for a quote for relocation from Nashville to Boston and we paid $200 as Initial deposit {Reference No: S7842979} for a relocation May 2018 .
In the month of April 2018 we had called up the relocation company and explained them that we have postponed the movement.
They had promised me umpten no of times that the initial deposit will be refunded back .And every time we call them they state a lie stating that they have sent the cheque and it will reach my place.This has been going around for almost for 4 months and till now we haven't seen the face of cheque.
They need to be truthful in their busy dealings .This type of unethical business practices is been followed by United Relocation.Agents lie on the blink of an eyelid.In the past 4 months we have called them atleast 30 times and they have the same lie to retell.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $200

We have moved quite a bit around so I could say from experience were the worst we had. We moved from Buffalo to Memphis.
The sales pitch is perfect, but the quote changed the size of the boxes from extra large to small. When we called the customer care - they were rude and irresponsible, never made the correction. Our quote included dismantling pieces of furniture as well - they never did. They said they will cover few pieces with blankets - never did.
The most disheartening thing after all this is that when the shipment arrived - the estimate (based on the items) was b**s**t - we were charged by the number of pounds we moved and the driver threatened to take away our items with a clear message of never to bring it back if we don't pay.
I never write reviews, but I want to make sure that nobody gets ripped like we did.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2700

This is a follow-up review from a previous review I made two weeks ago. Although my moving experience did not turn out as expected I wanted to comment on how United Relocation went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I have to say that this was one of the most stressful moves in my government career and everything that could have went wrong did. I want to give the general manager kudos for reaching out to me personally during my ordeal. I didn’t feel like I was being ignored and that really says something about this company. I thank everyone for still making this move happen and I will keep them updated when my items reach my final destination. Thank you again.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $6100

At the beginning, Cameron shows nice and professional. Once you put money down, nobody take care of your moving. I should be moving today, but nobody tell me when they come. I have contacted customer service 10 times, they just transferred a message. They promised they would move today before I put money down, but after I called them today, they said nobody came today and the deposit not refundable. Tomorrow is the 2nd day for moving. So far nobody called me to confirm whether they come or not. Horrible moving company. Please do not use this company!! It is my first time to write review in USA. You may understand how bad experience I had with this company. I am a nice professional to treat people well. Please do not use this moving company.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1450

Cameron was pleasant and helpful while we itemized my furniture and created an estimate over the phone. Days later, when I told him we were going with someone else he abruptly hung up on me. I sent him an email explaining our choice was due to the negative online reviews we'd come across (BBB, Moving.com, MyMovingReviews, TrustPilot, RipoffReport, UMovers, etc.). He responded, denying the reviews were of his company and was pretty hostile. I am incredibly relieved that we didn't do business with him and his company. I can only imagine how difficult it would be trying to work with him if something went wrong during a move.

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $5250

I recently had a long distance move from Pittsburgh to Florida. Called a bunch of places that gave me a sales pitch and then an insane price for the service. Did some research online and found United Relocation. They were the only ones that actually listened to what I had to say, and took into consideration that I was on a very tight time restraint and had a lot of fragile belongings. The rep that helped me get set up, was very knowledgeable and worked with me considering my budget. They were worth every penny. Sent a crew out that packed everything, moved it, and unpacked it. The crew they used was awesome, they took their time to make sure everything was packed correctly and didn’t rush through and break anything. Was definitely worried that my things wouldn’t arrive on time, but they were right on time. Absolutely 100% recommend them and will use them again if I ever have another long distance move.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3400

Experience started out very well with Cameron, the associate I spoke to. This was my first time getting movers, and he was pleasant, reassuring, and personable. I booked this move, scheduled for May 12-13, back in February because I was graduating with my Master’s on the 11th and wanted to make sure everything was in order. I paid the deposit and Cameron assured me someone would be in contact a few days before the move to go over my inventory list a final time and to let me know the official date of the move. My husband and I planned to leave Madison on Monday morning (the 14th) and had booked a hotel at our halfway point in Nashville.

On Wednesday the 9th, Cameron did contact me and we went over the inventory list. My quote stayed the same. Cameron told me that someone would contact me the next day to let me know if the movers were coming on the 12th or the 13th. No one called me the next day. On Friday, the day of my graduation ceremony, I called in the morning to ask if they had any information, as the soonest day the movers would come would be the next day, and I needed notice. I was told that they’d have information soon and that someone would call within the hour. No one called. I got together with my family and my program, and in the middle of my graduation ceremony, I received an email telling me I needed to contact the movers ASAP or risk losing my truck. So instead of enjoying my achievement, I spent my ceremony trying to get ahold of Cameron or anyone at customer service to explain the situation. Finally was able to get ahold of Cameron and he gave me numbers to call, to which no one responded.

The next morning I was finally able to get ahold of someone and they told me the movers were set to come between 11am-1pm on Sunday. This time frame got pushed back and then the movers didn’t come until 9:30pm. My husband and I missed out on plans we had with friends and colleagues and when the movers did show up there were all these hidden fees, some of which we’ll have to pay today when the movers deliver our things. I contacted Cameron about this and never heard back from him.

All this to say, had we known the movers were contracted out, we would have found another company, one with better communication and dedication to disclosing all costs to their customers.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2109

I recently moved from New Jersey to South Florida after receiving a job offer. I received many calls but from my first phone call with Alison I was very impressed. There are no surprises or hidden fees. She went over every detail with me, she spent over 30 mind talking to me which shows how much they really care about helping with your move. My move went smoothly with no issues, all of my furniture was carefully moved and taken care of. These guys are the best in the business if you ask me. I’ve moved often and never come across such excellent customer service.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $5200

I was so nervous about moving my whole life to another state, but every staff member I talked to at United were very helpful and reassuring. They talked me through ever step of the way, giving me updates on when the movers would be coming. Everything was moved in a timely manner and arrived intact. The customer service girl answered all of my picky questions and was able to accommodate all of my needs. I am so thankful and happy that I chose to go with United Relocation!! I will definitely be recommending them to anyone I know who is moving.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $35000

AWFUL. Do NOT go through this company. I would give a negative star if I could. They fail to disclose that they are only a broker & do not actually provide any moving services. They are sales people & will promise you the world to get your business then are MIA the second you pay them. There is literally NO concern for their customers once you pay them their split. They will send you the contract to e-sign while on the phone & make you pay before having a full chance to read the small print & will tell you they will be prompt, no hidden fees, they will be your only point of contact, "this is my personal cell" etc. This was the whole reason I went w/ them because they sounded honest & like they genuinely cared but I found out the TOTAL opposite-these people are CROOKS & I don’t know how they can sleep at night. I was never informed they aren't the actual movers so I was shocked when another company showed up at my door w/ a totally different name & informed of SEVERAL additional charges. Also, I was told the move could be completed in 1-2 days due to the short distance of the move(6 hrs), however this new company stated 3-14 days, which really means 21 days because apparently that is what they are allowed by law even though they claim 3-14 days & even state on their contract. Oh & this does not include weekends, they count standard business days even though they supposedly conduct business on weekends as a "courtesy" to their customers however, do not answer the phone or actually deliver nor count that towards the 3-14 or excuse me-21 days for delivery? So you are looking at a solid month for delivery. They have no care in the world for their customers even if it is causing them a hardship. An additional $350 charge TWICE for a shuttle truck if you are moving from one apartment complex to another because their 18-wheel truck does not fit, even if your belongings only take up a THIRD of the SHUTTLE truck & you do not require the large truck. They charge for every ft they have to carry items over 75 ft when hello-how would anyone know that when moving to a new apartment complex in a new state & have not been assigned their unit until move-in day? They also charge extra if you live on any floor other than the 1st. They make it seem like the move will be timely because they give you an early pickup date, however they fail to disclose is that the ACTUAL moving company tries to pack multiple moves together which results in them packing up your stuff to take it to a storage facility in the city you're moving from until they get multiple other moves to fill their truck. Additionally, they showed up 2 days earlier than promised so I was not prepared & was w/o a bed, TV, furniture, clothes, dishes etc. for a few days all for them to put my stuff in storage in the city I was moving from & take a month to even pack the truck to drive to the city I was moving to (which mind you was only 6 hrs away). When I called Brandon (who gave me his "personal" cell & even texted me after the initial call) I received a voicemail for a Chase at that number & the other person I spoke with-Cameron who only called to up the initial estimate was also MIA & even rejected my calls as they stopped ringing & went straight to voicemail after the 1st call. When I threatened to report them to the BBB “Brandon” or Chase sent me a generic “OMG I am looking into this right away!” then I NEVER heard back from him even after 3 additional emails were sent & multiple calls. Additionally, the company that finally delivered my stuff was a totally different company based out of L.A. so in total, there are 3 companies involved AKA getting a split of the profits which probably explains all the additional expenses. Oh & when the stuff was FINALLY delivered, there were several broken dishes. Some lessons are learned the hard way-I recommend either selling your stuff & starting new or disassembling your own furniture & renting a U-HAUL if this is standard for moving companies.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1392

Everyone BEWARE. The only reason this company has anything more than 1 star is because they created fake accounts and gave themselves 5 stars. Every single REAL customer has ranked them as a 1 star. And that is only because the system doesn't allow us to give them ZERO STARS.

They are LIARS. They failed to inform my family that they were not in fact the movers, but instead that they are a broker and they contract out to other movers. They moving company they chose to contract with what happened to be some fraudulent company that ended up stealing my money and breaking my furniture. Two peas in a pod I guess.

After my horrific move (which is the moving company's fault, not United), United refused to compensate me for damage and insisted that there was no recourse for me. The moving company charged me over $7,000 dollars--which included several over-charging incidents. For example, they stated that my inventory was DOUBLE the actual size. I measured the truck myself and compared it to the moving sheet. They also charged me for a long-haul (meaning the movers had to walk a long way to get to the truck), when the truth was that the truck was parked in my driveway. I have picture proof.

After my move, I reached out to United Relocation for help. They didn't answer my phone calls, they said they couldn't do anything, and that I was lying about the movers. They also said they have no liability since the contract was not with them. THEY PUT ME IN CONTACT WITH THE MOVERS?!?!

I am in the process of working on a lawsuit against them. I have already contacted the Attorney General in the state I moved from and the state I moved to. They will get what's coming to them.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $7600

It is currently 9/25/18. I moved July 20th. Movers showed up 3 days late. Half of my furniture was not delivered. Every phone call gets punted to someone else. Messages to call back are not answered. I was told to file an inventory of my missing items with the company that United brokered my move to, that company told me to file with United.
End result : No one knows anything, no one has any answers, and I filed a complaint with the better business bureau ( who has also not been able to get a hold of anyone).
