Wonderful - Marvelous Move 5 Stars.

I scoured all moving companies for a month. In the end, seeing I did not know how much I was going to move (due to this being us closing an estate for a family member that passed away)..I was left with 'having to' either cram stuff into "A" cube or get 2 cubes. I didn't particularly like "either" idea.  When I went on-site to hold the cubes..I happened to notice something I had not seen before, there is a THIRD option..you can rent space inside a 28 foot Trailer/truck. You can use as much space of that truck as you think you might need.  I (believe) there is/was a minimum space/fee but I knew we were not going to have any problem with the minimum requirement of 5 linear feet.  I called and talked to someone before clicking to get the cubes and she was so kind/curteous and explained everything in detail without rushing through.  In the end, we ended up using 14 feet (For every 1 linear foot you use they charge approx. $120)  and I brought home things that I can now sort through at my leisure instead of having to make "on the spot" decisions about family items.  ABF gave me the quote online, the quote/terms did not change, there were no surprises. They kept their word at every occasion. They delivered the trailer on time, they picked it up to move it for shipping across the country, on time. They said it would be 3 days to get here, it was here in 3 days.  I, however was not ready in 3 days so they allowed me a couple days in their storage facility so I could get ready.  When they came to delivery at the final destination this is where they REAAALLLLY EXCEEDED all expectations.  I live on a narrow one-lane road and the truck driver needed to be extra careful/cautious AND WE had to be there because the wires  (tele) on the last 4 houses are low and we didn't want our neighbors wires ripped off..They were WONDERFUL to deal with. I called and spoke to dispatch, I talked to the Manger and the truck driver..all went very smoothly.  Same thing with picking up the trailer--getting it out of our home area..they called 20 minutes before hand, we helped get the truck out of our area and the entire experience simply could not have gone ANY Better. I highly recommend renting the space on the trailer if you don't know how much stuff you want to take, this allows YOU to manage it better and the fee is more than reasonable and 14 feet is a LOT more space than what I was going to pay for 2 cubes--my final cost for 14 feet was less than renting the 2 cubes!  Thanks So Much to ALL -- You made a sad experience of closing my Mom's estate..much easier. High Marks!! If I can give you more than 5 stars, I will !!  Thank you Thank you!  I will DEFINITELY recommend you and your company to all my friends/family.

Must have driven like a madman because a lot of my stuff was broken.

ABF was okay in that they brought a van the day I asked for it--the other broker said at the last minute that they didn't have the driver's to do the job. my only problem was that I thought we did a pretty good job of packing my furniture and almost everything was damaged by the time it got to texas. they were pretty quick in transit but they must have taken some of the turns on two wheels or something because it was obvious our stuff had really been for a wild ride. did not bother to file a damages claim with them.

Moving awesome-No Damage No Theft..

I used U-Pack twice and I am very much satisfied with their service. It would be better if they have a little less height and less length trailer available like UHaul (10' by 12' would be fine). No damage No Theft. I have lost many things in my first move with a moving company so choose U-Pack and I feel this is best. All the Best U-Pack team..

Great Experience.

I recently moved from Florida to New York and had a great experience using UPack. They were half the cost of a moving company I have used in the past. They delivered on time and the drivers on both ends were incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend this company and will use them in the future if I move again.

Move from Colorado to Washington.

I was leary at first, but I couldn't be happier with how easy and affordable renting a cube has been. The cube arrived at my destination ahead of schedule and everything was in great shape. Cube was picked up and delivered as needed due to short time allowed for it to be at my apartment complexes. Kudos!!

WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. ABF SPOTTED THE TRAILER FOR US IN SPOKANE ON SCHEDULE, THE DRIVER CALLED ME AN HOUR AHEAD TO ADVISE HIS ETA. A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE SPOKANE CREW FOR SPOT ON PERFORMANCE. THE TRAILER WAS CLEAN & ON SCHEDULE, WE LOADED THE TRAILER & ABF SPOKANE PICKED IT UP & SENT IT ON IT'S WAY. WHAT A GREAT JOB BY SCOTT, SHANE, & THE DRIVERS IN SPOKANE. THE TRAILER MOVED TO THE ABF TERMINAL IN PHOENIX AZ & WAS PUT INTO STORAGE FOR A FEW WEEKS AS PER OUR CONTRACT. I CALLED THE PHOENIX TERMINAL TO SET MY DELIVERY APPOINTMENT & SPOKE WITH KRISTIN, KIM, CHRIS, & JEREMY. THE DELIVERY DRIVER JIM ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME, WAS SO HELPFUL & PROFESSIONAL & A REALLY GREAT GUY TO WORK WITH. WE UNLAODED THE TRAILER THE NEXT MORNING, CALLED THE PHOENIX TERMINAL & THE TRAILER WAS PICKED UP THE SAME DAY, AGAIN BY JIM THE SAME DRIVER. WHAT AN AWESOME MOVING EXPERIENCE. Upack.

Truck was to be delivered on Thursday. On Tuesday they call to change to Monday. Need to be out of house by Sunday. Do not use them as they can change dates with 48 hours notice. Obviously do not care at all about contracts or customers.

Every Item Damaged.

UPack moving is very convenient! HOWEVER, everything was broken, wet, stained, or otherwise damaged. The movers I hired said that "every trailer they opened from UPack looks like this". It quite literally looks like they put it trough a crusher, soaked it all in water, and then shoveled dirt on it.

If I could give zero stars I would. The worst experience ever and will never use this company again. It took 7 days to get my belongings when they told me 2-4 days. The are unapologetic and lack any form of empathy. If you have to choose between Pods and them I would definitely go with Pods. Worst moving company ever!

Cancelled our trailer within one week of move.

UPack confirmed our reservation in early September for a November move. They then left a voicemail one week before our move and cancelled our trailer. Their stated reason was they couldn’t get a trailer due to all the people moving out of California. Was this a surprise? Aren’t you in the business? How could you not know?

They gave us no options or other ideas to move. Just dropped us. If you didn’t want the business to begin with, then don’t confirm it. If there is a risk of a lack of trailers, then tell us. Terrible customer service, no integrity, no help in finding alternatives, no financial offer to help us offset our problem which they caused. Really a terrible business.

They met every part of the contract, were on time, and when they arrived in Clearwater, went over and above to meet our schedule. We would recommend them as an excellent company to work with.

Worst moving experience with Upack

Used upack for my luggage move from MN to TX. Worst experience. Half of my items are damaged during transit. When I called Upack, they mentioned they can only claim the damage if the truck catches fire or accident. Be aware of these scammers.

Move from NY to FL

UPack was great. The trailer was dropped off on time, belongings arrived at destination on time. We tied everything to avoid items from shifting and causing damage. The drivers were helpful and courteous.

Only compliant is the heavy bulkhead doors and trying to mount them. I would use them again if needed.

Good price, but later than estimated.

Pods are a good value. However, when flying into new location, beware that their estimated arrival may be off. Ours was 3 days late and required changing air flights at a cost over $200. Minimal proactive communication about where the pod was and when it would arrive.

Great customer service

My girlfriend and I are moving out of state and needed to get a quote for the long distance move. Theresa Awtry was super helpful, friendly, and professional. More importantly, her personable personality was outstanding and made us feel like human beings.

Terrible

Paid extra money to ensure the truck to be delivered on a certain date and that didn’t happen. Their customer service is not helpful and very rude.

Lost items

Well this company was the best we used when moving from Michigan to Kentucky , but when we needed to move again we went with them again this time the truck was late and they came early to pick up trailor, The first time we could put our own lock on it ,but the second time we were unable to put our own lock on it and we finally finished sorting out all the boxes only to realize we have several items missing. to numerous to list but the one thing that meant alot to my son was his leather jacket he just purchased within that year. I do not reccomend this company unless you can put your own lock on it ..

Wonderful company

We highly recommend Upack! We paid what they quoted, no hidden fees. The customer support people are super helpful and always friendly. We had heard so many horror stories about pods etc, we were nervou. But Upack was top notch. We packed the trailer ourselves, but the do offer help, for a fee. Thank you UPack!! You are the best.
