Received a call during the middle of my originally scheduled drop off time to be informed that the drop off would occur 4-6 hours later than was originally scheduled. The reason? Another customer booked AFTER me and was in my area so they are bumping me back to drop off for the other person. This is ridiculous, I will never use this company again and trash them every chance I get. Thanks for completely screwing up my moving schedule and making me postpone my moving date.

Slow and rude!!!! Do not ever use their service! UPack made my life so much harder!!!

Customer service people are not very helpful and they delayed my shipment by almost a week. I had to call at every step to remind them and track where my items were and how I can make the shipment faster.

I submitted all needed documents for my shipment right after they picked up my stuff, and even called them to confirm whether they have received my paperwork. However, some guy from UPack still called me to ask for my paperwork after several days. This is so not acceptable and totally delayed my shipment.

When I wanted to schedule my delivery appointment for my destination address, the person on the call was so rude and unwilling to provide me with an estimated time range of when my delivery may arrive. I had to call at 7am of the actual delivery date to further confirm.

UPack made my life so much harder!!!

Great Experience - local ABF drivers were very helpful and placed cubes exactly as planned. Delivery was a window of 3-5 days - easy tracking. The secret to a good move - follow clearly written instructions from ABF - load heavy low. Tie down or stuff the container full to the doors. There is space between the plywood floor and doors on the metal sill that must be filled - I load mattresses last to stuff and cushion. Cover all mattresses, fabrics, and items with plastic to prevent water damage. ABF like U-Haul and all the moving companies I have dealt with explicitly state their moving containers, trailers, or trucks are not water proof, just water resistant. I always make sure anything near the doors is plastic covered.

I was planning on renting a U-haul to take my belongings on a cross country move. A friend heard about UPack and I did some research. The price was great but there were some bad reviews that caught my attention. I was assured by my friend that his friend had a good experience.

From the time I booked the trailer to the time it arrived at my destination, I was bowled over by the great customer service and the whole move went flawlessly. Everyone was so nice and professional. I had several changes of drop off locations and everything still went smoothly. Communication was great and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I moved a four bedroom home for about $2800. I had quotes from others from $7000-$12,000.

We are moving out of state and timing was crucial because my husband starts work in 5 days and I will be staying behind until my transfer at the end of the month. We had to be moved in by Tuesday before he started work and so that I could return to the old state to continue work. When we reserved the Upack trailer which we are paying $1,000 for we specifically asked the man and explained the situation. He said oh thats no problem. When the trailer was dropped off we asked the truck driver again. He stated that they drive and deliver 24/7.. We loaded in a couple of hours and called and called no answer, next day Saturday called and called again no answer. Finally called customer service and the lady was so rude. Well we dont service on the weekends its in your contract your things wont be delivered until possibly friday. So now I have to fly back once again,miss work and try to unlaod myself because my husband will already be at work. If we would of known they dont work on the weekend which what moving company doesnt oh them. We would of paid a little extra for Pods or Uhaul company so that we could have our belongings. Nowy husband will be in an empty home for a week with absolutely nothing. No bed, no tv, no clothes.. Nothing. Please reconsider using this company, pay the little extra for better service and make sure to read your contract and not go by the customer service reps.

I scheduled a move with another company in July for an August move from San Antonio, TX to Hopewell Jct, NY.

The other moving company never showed, and did not have the decency to let me know when they can pickup my stuff from SA. I called UPack in a panic, as I had to have my stuff out quickly. UPack was able to schedule a pod in less than a week, that we were able to pack. The pod arrived at my place in about 9 days from packing. The man who drove the pod to my place even helped me unpack the pod!

I also love how UPack allows tracking, so you can easily determine what day your belongings will arrive.

I can see how your items could get ruined using a pod. I would recommend using movers. I did not, and some of my belongings were really wet from weather, etc. However, that is on me - not UPack.

Extremely unprofessional experience. It’s difficult to understand how this company feels comfortable charging a client $2,700+ to move all of their belongings and the communication around drop off of said belongings could be so inconsistent and borderline careless.

Would not recommend to anyone who is moving. However, I would recommend paying substantially less for a UHaul and doing it on your own. Overall, more straightforward and less dependent on the people who work for this company to act in your best interest or care about your belongings as much as you do.

We were in an accident right before we were suppose to move ourselves so last minute we had to change plans. Contacted UPack and got a very reasonable quote and they were able to accommodate the dates we needed (pretty last minute) for the pods to be dropped off and picked up. They arrived right on time and placed the pods in great locations for making it easiest for us. They picked up promptly as well with no issues. Love that we had plenty of travel time before needing to be at our destination to receive the pods. When we arrived to our destination we were actually contacted three days early to say hey your pods are here IF you want them early and we said sure thing. Delivery at our ending location was great as well! Nothing damaged, no problems at all. We unloaded them and let UPack know they were empty and the next day they came to pick them up. If we ever move again this is definitely the way to do it. Thank you!!

When I had to suddenly move my parents from Puerto Rico to New York I had no idea where to start since I do not live over there. Searching on the internetin my parents area luckily I found U-pack. Right from the first phone call I received excellent service and the customer care agent was very patient with all my questions and never seemed in a hurry to rush off the phone. After putting all my cares and worries to rest I went ahead and reserved a shipping container. I found the cost to be reasonable for the distance and work involved to get it to me so far away. They offered a few alternatives for filling the container either myself or with a moving company. I chose to bring the furniture to the freight location and fill the container myself. After filling and securing the container, I locked it up and put my worries aside that they were going to ship it to me in New York. Once it arrived in New York they contacted me and I made an appointment for them to drop it off on my driveway. Two days later they came back and took the empty container away. Thank you for making the long distance move so easy for me and for having such excellent customer service! To all your team members, thank you very much. It was such a pleasure that every time I called, I didn't have to go through a bunch of prompts, somebody always picked up the phone right away and was able to help me and answer my questions. I just want to say one little thing about anybody that complains about damage to whatever they put into the container. Other than major storms at sea or accidents on the road if you don't properly pack and secure your items in the container for the possibility of being moved around inside, any damage you received is your own fault for improper securing and packaging your container. When I opened my container 3 weeks later not a single box or piece of furniture had moved. Pack it right or pay the price. I will gladly recommend your company from now on.

A month before moving, we made a reservation with UPack. They were really helpful. They confirmed that they could fit in our driveway (on a corner). Fast forward to moving day. UPack calls an hour before they were supposed to arrive and they said that they can't come. Our driveway is on a busy intersection and they aren't going to be able to drop off the cubes. If they had said that initially then we'd have made other arrangements instead of needing to find moving trucks the DAY OF. Not cheap. And they weren't willing to compensate that mistake. Very frustrating experience.

We used U Pack to move from Chicago to Northern GA. We used the 28 ft trailer, which was dropped off right on time. It does take up a lot of space, and I had it overhanging the sidewalk to make sure you are aware of the size requirements first. We packed the trailer very tightly and secure, and they came the next day after we called to pick it up. We did a month of storage in between homes, and the trailer was stored in GA waiting for us. When we got down there, we called to schedule drop off and our driver was able to navigate the trailer onto our new driveway which was not perfectly flat and on a hill. We had movers come and unload it in about 3 hours! I had called that day to schedule my trailer pickup, and the next night off it went with the driver. I can say the customer service was seamless and very responsive. The local ABF terminals were very friendly and always glad to help schedule. Compared to full service movers, we saved close to $7k by doing the labor ourselves (which I have always done anyway).

First, I contacted many other truck rentals. Prices were, what I though to be comparable.

Calling U-Pack, I assumed I was getting pods for our belongings. Was very excited when finding out it was a 28 foot trailer and not a pod. When delivered, the driver had very little room to maneuver, but executed the trailer to perfection. We loaded it, they took it away. We had the trailer delivered to our property. All contents in perfect condition, due to our securing everything.

For the price, it was extremely affordable.

Each and every call I ever made to U-Pack, the person on the other end was courteous and very explanatory.

We used UPack for our move from Oregon to Kentucky. Overall good experience.

Pros: We didn’t have to drive a moving truck across the country. The price was great compared to other companies. Customer service was easy to work with.

Cons: shipment was delayed and took 3 weeks to arrive. This was due to weather, so out of their control. My biggest complaint would be trying to get information on truck status. First, they were late dropping off the truck; no one called to tell me it would be late, and I had to call 3 different places to get an answer. I also had to call to get updates on truck status due to the weather delay.

Otherwise, it was a good experience. I would use this company again.

We ordered our cube 6 weeks before we planned to move our daughter, threedays prior to her move they sent an email saying they don't service our area. We called three different locations for them to say we called the wrong number and to call back but don't push any buttons. Finally talked to somebody and they are sorry but they don't check to make sure they can provide service until three days prior to the cube arriving. So an easy move for my daughter turned into me taking a day off work to load her stuff into a u-haul and drive 150 miles to unload it into a cube. Waited around for half an hour for them to even get the cube so we could even load it. Unorganized company and will tell everybody not to use them. Can't wait to see how it gets delivered. Hope they get the right state for dropoff. Completely disappointed.

This service is fine if you (i) have sufficient road access and parking space at loading and unloading points to accommodate a full-size semi- truck; (ii) are strong, healthy and handy enough to manhandle the cumbersome bulkheads into place after loading and removing them before unloading; (iii) have a sufficiently flexible schedule (and persons you’ve recruited to help unload with equally flexible schedules) so as not to be inconvenienced by substantial delivery delays (mine was roughly a week after the estimated date) and the inability of the “customer support” people to predict actual delivery date/time until a few hours before delivery. I will say the drivers, both at loading and unloading, were friendly and helpful.

Notwithstanding their marketing slogans (“Quick, convenient option that makes long-distance moving easy”, ”Access to exceptional customer support”, “Fast, easy service exactly how you want it”), it seems to me that their business model is to optimize the extra space on their trucks, thereby earning additional revenue without extra effort on their part. If I were to move again I would never use this organization.

I lived on the narrowest street in Lakewood, OH, the truck driver was awesome, definitely great at his job. Dave the scheduler was organized and on top things, I also hired Zooming Movers to help me load the truck, I can’t say enough about how helpful and hardworking Rain and Jordan C. Were. I would recommend these guys to everyone. Prices were extremely reasonable for the work done and would have been happy to pay double for the assistance given by Rain and Jordan C. Great Job by everyone. Very happy customer!

Never again. They managed to foul up every step of the process. The containers were at the wrong location at origin, they shipped to the wrong location at destination, they didn't tell us when our boxes arrived, so we had to book movers

to unload at last second and paid out the nose, the movers they booked for us were 2 guys is a small pickup, several items were broken including an antique dresser, and it took 12 hours to load a 2 BR apt and almost that long to unload. There are so many different layers to their business model that nothing is ever anyone's fault so when something goes wrong, it's always the customer holding the bag. And it cost about $8,000 for the privilege.

Upack never showed up, called 2 days in a row and kept being fed conflicting stories and nonsense excuses. Finally after not showing up for the 2nd day we cancelled our order and went with another moving company. Upack customer service is rude and they don't care that they are ruining your move when they don't bother showing up on the scheduled day. They also don't bother to call when you they don't plan on coming, you have to track them down. Run far far away from this company. Other companies might be more expensive but it's because they actually know what they're doing, unlike Upack

If I could give them a 10 star I would. Moved from Ca to FL. Moving is very stressful but UPack made it oh so much better. They were up front about the time line for the trailer to get here and to my surprise it came early. Everything went smooth, customer service was great!!! I cant say enough about UPack. We had no damage on anything. Pack it right and you will have no problems. Thank you UPack for everything and making this move as easy as possible. I honestly cant say enough about this company. It was very hard to put my trust in something that had everything we owned and going across country but from the beginning i was reassured that my stuff would make it. I definitely recommend UPack to everyone that is moving. They gave us more than enough time to unload the trailer it was nice seeing that it was just myself and my husband to unloaded it. Again Thank you Thank you!!! UPACK IS AWESOME!!
