Long-distance move from Ft Mitchell, KY to San Luis Obispo, CA

No solutions

I do not recommend trinity at all.The day of the call to tell us what day they were coming to load up they called said they had mechanical issues if we could move back date we said yes. The next day no call I called them before 5 and was told it was canceled because of truck issue they did not offer up any solutions to the problem for us just thanks and bye. They sound professional but they are brokers in other words middle man who don’t really care one bit. Because of it being so close to time to move unable to get a reputable company. I would trust anything they say get a van lines company. If I could zero stars I would.

Local move within Tampa, FL

Service and Quality

We negotiated with Trinity in early May 2021 to have my mothers’ apartment boxed up and moved to a storage shed about 10 miles away. We had to be out of the apartment by May 30th. Originally scheduled for a mid-May move, They twice delayed the move finally on or about May 29th. When they showed up, the contract they showed my was for one dresser, when in fact, after calling the office it was for 1 dresser and 70 boxes. They bill on volume. The packers that showed up were not aware that they had to do the packing as well and refused to move anything until this could be settled with Trinity. As we had to have my mother out by May 30th, there wasn’t enough time to reschedule and cancelled the contract. We I again called the office they confirmed it was to be 1 dresser and 70 boxes. I believe that there was not enough room on the contract copy the movers brought to show the 70 boxes.

Trinity has refused to refund my $700+ payment as they say that we cancelled within 48 hrs. of the move. After a month on back and forth conversations, the issue is still not resolved.

In additional conversations with Customer service, one of the reps indicated that they were suppose to come to the apartment and verify the volume. This never happened.

I would absolutely not use this moving company. They have been rude and do not take what the customer is implying.

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Boynton Beach, FL

Disgraceful, shameful, dishonest

Stay away from this shameful, despicable, uncredible and dishonest operation. Trinity Relocation Group ( a broker for movers) is completely dishonest and uncaring and is only interested in the sale. Shamefully, they posited themselves on their website and with their name using (since removed) religious language, shame on them!

To the owner: I was told his name is Brian Fox. Please DO NOT respond to my post unless you are prepared to make good on the original estimate which I so carefully detailed with Brian when the sale was made. How awful to put the movers in such an awkward position when they show up to complete the service. What about individuals on a strict and detailed budget?

Almost of the reviews basically say the same thing. The customer felt ripped off. However, I will give a plug to the moving company ALL-POINTS MOVING, please contact them directly and spare your self the anger. I take full responsibility for not researching more carefully during a stressful period. I was eager to get the move booked anticipating that summer is a busy season.

• Brian, a slick salesperson, abruptly removed my move from the schedule when I did not deposit quickly enough as was tirelessly working remotely from home during the pandemic.

• I moved from a 1 bedroom in NYC only boxes, an office chair and large mirror (which was subsequently removed at the last minute). No large furniture.

• Was told at the time of the SALE was that I had a lot of “wiggle room” with such a small move and they work with NYC buildings all the time.

• Was quoted $1652.74. actually paid $3522.85, $1870.00 above the quote.

• I tipped generously on pick-up and delivery. The movers deserve it.

• Periodically from the time that I booked the move with Brian, I reached out a few times and emails went unanswered, except for one.

• I called Customer Service and explained I did not want any surprises and was assured there would not be and to have a money order for 1/3 of the cost prepared which I did. The move was calculated in thirds deposit, pick-up, delivery.

• Prior to the move I was in Florida where they are based and drove to a non-existent office. I wanted to go over and last details. When I arrived at their address, I did not see any office, so I called and spoke to Daniel who kept putting me on hold. They would not allow me in using COVID as an excuse. Florida is a state where everything has been open for months.

• 3 movers showed on moving day and I was immediately told there would be a $500.00 long carry fee, this was never explained/reviewed during the SALE. I was only told how familiar they are with NYC apartment buildings.

• Was also immediately told by the lead mover that the move was going to cost more.

• The movers were through in under 1 hour. Only 2 at a time worked since one watched the truck.

• After much back-and forth with the ALL-POINTS Moving company, they agreed to take a personal check. They would not take AMEX.

• I called Trinity’s customer service immediately as this was unfolding and one agent (did not get her name) hung up on my husband.

• I called back and went through sales to get to customer service. A woman named Sadie was helpful and patient and told me she would review the tapes since all calls are recorded. I followed up with an email and got no response.

• I called again and spoke to Caleb, he was snide and rude. It was apparent from our discussion that my emails were read. I requested at least a refund for the $500.00. I asked again about the tapes and was not given a response.

• I have since emailed 3 requests to listen to the sales and customer service calls, my emails have been completely ignored and unanswered.

Stay away from these thieves!! This operation preys on people during a stressful time. They take advantage and place the movers in a terrible situation, how sinful.

Long-distance move from Brooklyn, NY to Tucson, AZ

Awful company

One star is generous. Trinity is not a moving company They are broker who subs out your move to moving companies who then hire another company that drives the truck so there is no accountability if something goes wrong. To be fair I had a complicated move, an apartment and 2 storage units being moved across country but they assured me that they do that sort of thing all the time. The agent who I spoke with Neil Greco told me that he is one of the managers and not just a sales person which made me feel more confident. Neil gave me a quote for $10,800 told me that this amount was binding not to exceed. Well, my move did exceed that, it came out to $16,500. The mover , Top Notch movers out of Hackensack New Jersey told me that it was more because the broker Trinity underestimated the amount of stuff that we had, fair enough- I would be willing to pay more but it seemed excessive. To add insult to injury at least 2 of our boxes are still missing , 6 weeks after our move. The mover, top notch, told me that it’s impossible for something to be missing that my stuff never went to a warehouse that it went straight to the truck. 2 other people’s stuff shared the same semi truck- the company that operated the truck is Haul Ways moving, but the mover assured me that the other families didn’t get my stuff.

Email to Neil Greco at Trinity delineating all these issues went unanswered and telephone calls to him always go straight to voicemail.

My advice:Hire an actual moving company who operates their own trucks and has their own drivers and is solely responsible. Stay away from Trinity.

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Massachusetts

Don't let them ruin any other lives

I've been close to tears all day. I booked TRG in May 2021 for a move from Minneapolis to Boston July 23rd to August 1st. We paid our deposit, picked up the cashier's checks for pick-up and delivery as instructed and confirmed our final pack list by email. Then as the days grew closer to our pick-up, there was silence from TRG and when I called, no one picked up and no one returned my messages. Finally they told us today they cancelled us. No explanation except there just aren't enough trucks. Some of you may recall the Seinfeld skit where he says, "See you know how to Take a reservation, you just don't know how to Hold a reservation...and isn't that the Most Important Part!" We are now in a crisis, struggling to figure out how to safely get from here to there. It is true in life that sometimes you cross paths with evil people. This company should not be allowed to ruin any other lives.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

Do not for any reason work with this company.

We have been waiting on our items for over 7 weeks with no definite word from the moving company when it will be here (dates change with every update). Trinity will do nothing with the leverage they have as the broker.

With a family of six we have been living off of inflatable mattresses and fold down chairs.

Save yourself this heartache by going with another company. This is a nightmare for anyone with family to experience, and you will get no backing from Trinity once they are paid.

Long-distance move from Laguna Hills, CA to Plainfield, IL

The worst company out there

Stay away from this company if you don't want to be scammed. I was first given initial estimated cost for my moving of 4300 $, after I spend 15 min on the phone, explaining to one of their employees how many and what items exactly I need to be moved.

Next day I realized I have forgotten some items, and I took photos of everything, including the items described in our initial conversation. I asked for updated new estimated moving quote over a dozen times in the next few days. On July 1, someone named Bruce Richards finally sends me an email, in which he assures me, and I quote “The diver can adjust the estimate on pickup with minor changes “

My emails and phone calls were either ignored, or I was told over the phone that someone will get back at me. Someone from trinity called me at 9:30 pm and told me the movers are coming next day, Wednesday, possibly in the morning , even though i was told i will be given a call that would give me time to prepare. I asked for the pick up date to be moved to Thursday and i was told that will cost me 750 $. No movers showed up on Thursday or the following day, no explanation was ever given, no one tried to contact me to tell me what is going on

On Saturday, the movers from Jet moving and storage finally showed up and the driver after looking at my items at home, gave me a new estimated quote of 11 222 $. He told me that he doesn’t have the refrigerator, the patio chairs and few more items on his list. I showed him the email with the attached photos of all those items that I send on July 1. According to the initial estimated cost, my estimated cubic feet space was calculated at 360, but the driver said that would actually be over 1300 cubic feet. How adding a few items that he did not have on his list and should have had can take up more than triple room in the truck?

How is going from 4300 $ to 11222 $ a minor change?? Why all my voicemails and emails repeatedly asking for updated moving quote were ignored. Well according to the electronic agreement you have to sign with Trinity relocation group, you lose your right for refund if you have to cancel 48 hours before the moving date. So I was given absolutely intentionally unrealistic moving quote, with inaccurate numbers of how much cubic feet space my items would take in the mover’s truck. In an email received on 11 of July, someone from Trinity relocation group customer service has the audacity of actually asking me “What is the difference? You would have paid for all of the additional items you had, whether you gave them to Bruce initially or the driver”. This is so absurd and that I am lost for words. Trinity employees deliberately did not update their estimated moving cost so I can miss the time frame to ask for a refund according to their electronic agreement

Thank you for taking away my moving stress!

If you need to move this company is outstanding. From my initial phone call with Kevin walking me through the process to the actual move I cannot say enough good things. David, Joseph, Justin were so kind and efficient they moved me in less than the estimated time, were careful with my items, and set everything up to make unpacking easy. I will be using them again in the future.

DO NOT USE. 33% MORE than estimate.

Every review here that says Trinity overcharges you above the estimate is telling you the truth! I had the same bad experience. I was given a reasonable estimate by Trinity.Trinity was very nice to secure my business. And when Trinity called to confirm my estimate, I shared that I had more boxes. So my estimate went up. Completely reasonable. But when the 3rd party moving company arrived and loaded my materials, my final amount went from $6K to $9K — most of which they demanded be in cash, money order, or Zelle. What reputable business doesn’t accept credit? (In fairness, Trinity told this prior to pickup, but I didn’t expect the estimate to be off by so much. I should have answered my own question and go with another company.) How is the estimate off by $3000?!! I said that I had the equivalent of a 3 bedroom home. I have a lot of items. But no living furniture, no dining room furniture, no bedroom dressers, and no kitchen table! Outrageous!

The 3rd party moving company sent an experienced driver but an inexperienced crew who inadvertently banged my furniture into walls. They worked hard otherwise and they were nice.

I would never use this low quality broker company again. Call Two Men and a Truck. I will!!

Long-distance move from Plano, TX to Smyrna, GA

Bait and switch

The sales person conducted a video estimate of my move from TX to GA and claimed that the estimate of $14,000 was safe because it already over-estimated by 7%. He also committed to me that it will be a direct-ship, i.e. no storage required so the delivery would be just the truck travel time. When the movers showed up, they said my move will cost about $22,000 and will not load unless I agree. I had a final estimate details with the Trinity so-called quality assurance team 2 days before the move, and the number of boxes and furnitures were adjusted to exactly what it will be. I called them but there is no help. I am stuck with having to pay a lot more or reduce my items. I ended up removing 1/3 of the furnitures, and still having to pay $20,000. Also the move is not direct, the items will be sent to storage until a trucker will pick-up, and will be loaded with other clients. I called and emailed Trinity afterwards but no one return any of my calls or email. This is a scam. Don't use them. I had estimates from more reputable nationwide van lines and their estimate was $18,000 and will not depend on space. Never use these brokers as they bears no responsibilities. I am going to also file a federal complaint of their business practice.

This company is truly not ethical

They provide you with an estimate with a very accurate list then reviewed it with you just days before the moving day and then on moving day the price is 40% higher and they claim your furniture is bulky. Pretty amazing when the furniture is nothing special and a sofa a love seat and a two piece China cabinet was removed that was on that list the day of the move that should have reduced the price . They provide a lower price to lure you, then when you get the final price it's $3400.00 more. They try to tell us now that we had a choice not to use them and you can turn them away when you are closing on your house that day. Stay away I do not recommend you use them. I should have listen to the reviews myself. If anyone wants to see photo's of my furniture and the boxes please let me know. The bulky reference is what they say to try to justify there model to lure you and then change the price

They make moving easy!!

First let me say there was no hidden costs what they quote is what you pay. You pay exactly the amount. I have a 1-bedroom apartment and was moving across town, I had never hired movers before, so I was a little anxious. Two guys pulled up with a massive truck exactly on time. I showed them the apartment quickly, one of the guys had me fill out paperwork as the other guy got right to work!! These guys were hilarious, courteous and QUICK! I was moved across town with all my stuff within 2 hours and 20 minutes. Not only were these guys super quick, but they kept me fully entertained and took the anxiety away and were just awesome guys! I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to everyone!!

My team made things so easy

I've never used movers before and have I been missing out.My team made things so easy. I felt like my apartment was almost empty after two guys took two big loads out to the truck in their dollies. Of course, there was still a lot left to do, but they made quick work of it. Kevin and Matthew were really professional and courteous and pleasant. They kept my things safe with good wrapping and packing, and were very careful putting things back inside my house. All of the costs and quoting was very transparent from Stacy in the office to the movers. No surprises at the end.

Worst business I have ever dealt with. EVER.

0.0 stars would be more accurate, but that is not an option for this bunch of crooks, so one star it is. It has become abundantly clear that Trinity Relocation Group brokered a move with me and Jet Moving and Storage knowing full well that the mover was incapable of providing the service as promised. It has been over 2 and a half months since my goods were loaded into a truck in Portland OR, and I'm still wondering where the *&^%^$# my stuff is. What TRG neglected to mention during the deal in which I paid them a fee for said services, is that in actuality, you're just paying them for NOTHING. Call a mover directly, and leave out the useless middle man. They don't return calls EVER, they make no effort to problem solve, they don't have answers, nor do they give a damn. Their motto should be "Not my problem" or " TRG...shyster for hire". They need to be held accountable for deceptive business practices, but when they don't respond to complaints filed with the FMCSA and BBB, I guess they just get away with it. Not if I can help it. Game on Trinity Relocation Group.

Stay away

Stay away from this company. To start, they are dishonest and do not have any regard for customer service. I feel as though they made a "bait and switch" with me and I feel fully taken advantage of. They charged me 3x more than they originally quoted me and the people are unprofessional, but beyond that, my stuff still has not arrived. My things (700 sq foot apartment) were picked up in September, it is now November and they still have not even put anything in transit. No one has contacted me to make sure the job has been executed and when I called, the man on the line gave me so much attitude and finally said he would look into it which resulted in no phone call back and no action taken on the matter. Still awaiting my things almost 3 months later. Worst moving experience of my life and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone I cared about. Will absolutely never use them again, biggest mistake ever.

Fraudulent

JUST DON'T

What little good review they have are definitely from friends/family. Avoid this moving company at all costs, as they ARE A SCAM. Also, their service is terrible. The guy I spoke with literally fought back with me when I called to complain. He had a - you signed the contract, too bad so sad, nothing you can do about it legally - tone. Now, that's a way to keep customers!

Take note that this moving company is a third party. They find and hire people to move your stuff for you. The actual movers are just given the job with minimal information. We had Top Notch Movers.

1. Sales rep gets you to sign the contract with verbal half-assed information.

For example, we were told we will get our stuff within 8-14 days. Based on this information we planned our baby to arrive to our new location a couple of days before 14 days (we were hopeful that the movers wouldn't take 14 days - THEY ACTUALLY TOOK LONGER).

When I called to talk about it, the guy said that it's 8-14 days from our availability date NOT FROM PICK-UP DATE. When I complained that we were not told about the availability date portion, the guy simply said that it was in the contract. Who actually reads these... We were going off of what was told us verbally on the phone.

2. We were given an estimated quote of $5000 based on inventory. When the movers came, they charged us double of $10000 because they go by cubic feet of how much space your item, so that it doesn't cost $10000 or just pay up the new amount which is double what was originally estimated.

I didn't ask about this portion, but this is probably in their contract too.

3. Movers finally show up several days later than expected - WITH A 18-WHEELER. There goes an additional $1500 for their inconvenience. We have to pay for a shuttle service. SO SORRY WE TOLD YOU THAT A 18-WHEELER WILL NOT FIT OUR NEW PLACE AND YOU STILL SHOW UP WITH ONE AND HAVE TO GET PAID EXTRA MONEY IN YOUR POCKET.

Guess what? This is also in their contract, but nothing that was verbally told :)

SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY take advice of all the bad reviews and STAY CLEAR from this 3rd party moving company. It is more work, but take time to find local movers to and from. Unfortunately, we did not have this luxury because my husband had to move to his new job within 2 weeks (while we were both still working at our old jobs + baby).

That being said, we will be moving to a more permanent home within a year, and this sorry excuse of a moving company won't have us back. EVER.

Cancellation

My move was canceled the day before when I had booked a month in advance. I planned everything around the dates they promised me and now I’m being evicted because I was not out of my apartment by the dates I said I would be because I assumed when I paid a large amount of money to Trinity and was promised certain dates that they would actually show up on those days. My mistake. Please take these reviews to heart it will save you a lot of stress and tears. I understand it’s not the company‘s fault that people canceled, but it should be their job to help you come up with a solution. Giving me a refund does nothing to help my situation when I need to be out by today.

I'd want to thank the men for making the move so easy. From the first chat with Randy to the actual drop-off, everything went smoothly. Horrible movers

Please do not use this company. They are not an actual moving company. They are a moving brokerage company. What this means is they don't actually do the move. They will charge you a deposit and then out source your move to someone else. I unfortunately went with this company thinking they would do my move. They did not. They also do not follow through on their customer promises. They were supposed to call me three days before my move and review my inventory list. I called three times to discuss this with them, but was told it was to soon to discuss this matter. They also misquoted me the time it would take to get my belongings. I was told it would take three days, it did not. The actual company who did the move took over two weeks to deliver my belongings.

The company that did the move arrived at my place and told me it would be an extra $2000 above what I was originally quoted. When this was brought up with this company, they said they would look into it and get back to me. The call never came. I finally received an email from them after I left them a review on line, they finally emailed me and said they would offer me $200 for my compensation. but i had to agree not to post a review and to take down the review I gave them. $200 as compensation does not cover the loss of the money I paid them or for the over charge by the other company. They charge you a deposit to make a phone call to another to do the actual move.

Save yourself some money and book with someone else.

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Hillsboro, OR

BEWARE: WORST MOVING COMPANY SCAM!!

This company is a SCAM!!! Don’t go with them. They talked me out of going with a different moving company saying that they were a scam and that they had bad reviews when in fact, Trinity is the company with the bad reviews. Check their Yelp reviews also!

As the other reviews state, all these accusations are true (from my own experience as well):

1. Once the sales rep gets you to sign the contract, you can’t reach them anymore.

2. The quote they give you, written in the contract, is only and estimate (which they don’t tell you prior ). The final quote we agreed on (and I emphasized not having any additional charges as long as I only loaded all the items on the contracted inventory list) was just under $3000 and when the movers showed up they said it was an additional $5000 to take everything, $8000 total! Even the mover said that Trinity didn’t quote me properly and said that the inventory descriptions were all Inaccurate.

3. They go by how much cubic feet all your items will take up, NOT THE ACTUAL INVENTORY LIST. They fail to mention that.

4. The delivery takes longer than local moving companies. 2-3 days versus 8-10 days.

5. They do stuff everything into a truck, with other people’s things. You’re better off hiring a moving company that dedicates one truck to you, so it’s faster, safer, and less likely to get damaged or lost.

They charge the most at the initial deposit, of course, and then split up the balance into to payments, which they collect at the time of pick up and the time of delivery.

Worst moving company experience ever. If you try to communicate with them after the close of the sale, with anything you might have issues with or with any dissatisfaction, all they will do is continue referring to the fine print on the contract you signed and nothing that was actually discussed of course.

I have attached photos of what my inventory list was, as emailed in detail, versus what was actually on the inventory list on the contract. And based on that inventory list described on the contract, the movers flat out told me that they couldn’t take half the things on that list because Trinity low balled the inventory item sized to get me a lower price, just to jack up the price on me when they arrived.

They refused to refund me my $1050 deposit and they didn’t end up even loading anything on the truck. The truck was also a day and a few hours later than scheduled. **Couple weeks after going back and forth on my refund**

Following up on my last review, Trinity's cancellation clearly states that "estimates may be cancelled within 72 hours of placing their reservation" and not only did I cancel within 72 hours, the services they were supposed to provide was never provided. The truck didn't even load anything into their truck. Trinity customer service sent me an email saying that they would refund me 50% of my deposit, but although in their cancellation policy, it doesn't say anything about having to remove honest reviews, look at tis email they sent me, basically threatening not to credit me my rightful (FULL) refund, unless I move my reviews. This company needs to be taken down for SCAMMING so many people. If I don't receive my refund, and if any other customers who left a negative review, based on similar experiences/any money lost, would like to file a lawsuit also, I will gladly get a class lawsuit started.
