BEWARE: WORST MOVING COMPANY SCAM!!

This company is a SCAM!!! Don’t go with them. They talked me out of going with a different moving company saying that they were a scam and that they had bad reviews when in fact, Trinity is the company with the bad reviews. Check their Yelp reviews also!

As the other reviews state, all these accusations are true (from my own experience as well):

1. Once the sales rep gets you to sign the contract, you can’t reach them anymore.

2. The quote they give you, written in the contract, is only and estimate (which they don’t tell you prior ). The final quote we agreed on (and I emphasized not having any additional charges as long as I only loaded all the items on the contracted inventory list) was just under $3000 and when the movers showed up they said it was an additional $5000 to take everything, $8000 total! Even the mover said that Trinity didn’t quote me properly and said that the inventory descriptions were all Inaccurate.

3. They go by how much cubic feet all your items will take up, NOT THE ACTUAL INVENTORY LIST. They fail to mention that.

4. The delivery takes longer than local moving companies. 2-3 days versus 8-10 days.

5. They do stuff everything into a truck, with other people’s things. You’re better off hiring a moving company that dedicates one truck to you, so it’s faster, safer, and less likely to get damaged or lost.

They charge the most at the initial deposit, of course, and then split up the balance into to payments, which they collect at the time of pick up and the time of delivery.

Worst moving company experience ever. If you try to communicate with them after the close of the sale, with anything you might have issues with or with any dissatisfaction, all they will do is continue referring to the fine print on the contract you signed and nothing that was actually discussed of course.

I have attached photos of what my inventory list was, as emailed in detail, versus what was actually on the inventory list on the contract. And based on that inventory list described on the contract, the movers flat out told me that they couldn’t take half the things on that list because Trinity low balled the inventory item sized to get me a lower price, just to jack up the price on me when they arrived.

They refused to refund me my $1050 deposit and they didn’t end up even loading anything on the truck. The truck was also a day and a few hours later than scheduled. GO THROUGH YELP AND FIND LOCAL STATE TO STATE COMPANIES! Don’t get scammed by any of these advertised companies online. And please check all reviews!

**Couple weeks after going back and forth on my refund**

Following up on my last review, Trinity's cancellation clearly states that "estimates may be cancelled within 72 hours of placing their reservation" and not only did I cancel within 72 hours, the services they were supposed to provide was never provided. The truck didn't even load anything into their truck. Trinity customer service sent me an email saying that they would refund me 50% of my deposit, but although in their cancellation policy, it doesn't say anything about having to remove honest reviews, look at tis email they sent me, basically threatening not to credit me my rightful (FULL) refund, unless I move my reviews. This company needs to be taken down for SCAMMING so many people. If I don't receive my refund, and if any other customers who left a negative review, based on similar experiences/any money lost, would like to file a lawsuit also, I will gladly get a class lawsuit started.

Warning!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

Do not use their service. They are brokers sweet and kind and once you send a deposit, they are hard to reach and do not return calls. They sent a moving team of two men from the company We Care For You. One stayed in the truck 75% of the time in the truck. I was missing jewelry once they left. They were rude and pressured me to pay another $1200 over the quote. When I complained to Trinity they would not assist me with my complaints. They offered a $75 credit if I agreed not to post a negative review. Please research and find a reputable company. Do not get swayed by the initial phone call. The entire moving experience was miserable and emotionally upsetting. When my possessions finally arrived, I had boxes of smashed Crystals and ceramics. They took my Persian rug. Please, please do not use these awful people.

Trinity Relocation Group Contract B5125136

We Care For You Contract BB6280940

I do not recommend Trinity Relocation Group or We Care For You in Florida. With my wife and I serving 22 and 26 years in the military respectively and having moved many times both overseas and within the United States this was the worst move we have ever experienced. Trinity Relocation Group acts as a broker for moving companies and contracted with We Care For You out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the actual move. We were moving from Cape Coral, Fl to Oklahoma City, OK between two assisted living centers and contracted for a complete pack and unpack.

We Care For You FAILED to meet their contractual obligations since they disassembled our bed on the shipping end and did not reassemble it as requested on the receiving end. In the end we did not receive all of our household goods and at least two items were broken.

Packout: Our driver was scheduled between 9 AM and 2 PM. At 10 AM he called and said would it be alright if they came around 5-6 PM. I reminded them this was a move from an assisted living center that had restrictions on move times but got permission for the late move. The driver then called back stating they would be there by 1 PM because of the move restrictions. They arrived at 1:40. Once there he looked at the apartment and said he did not have room for the move on his truck. He called his boss and put him on speaker phone and proceeded to get into an argument with his boss while standing next to me. His boss said if he couldn’t handle the job himself to come back. The driver then got in his truck and drove off. Another driver and crew came to move our stuff the next day but they were late since their original truck was not working properly. This crew was extremely courteous, professional and accommodating during the pack and load. I noticed they did not bring any wrapping paper for the glassware and asked about that. The driver showed me a black trash bag full of used wrapping paper and told me his boss said to use that. He also asked me about what had happened the day before and when I explained he told me the other driver had been fired.

Waiting for delivery: Although I had explained to Trinity that I wanted my furniture delivered and unpacked not later than 18 December and that they could back up the pack date to accommodate that request my furniture and household goods were not delivered until 23 December. We Care For You kept telling me they were waiting on truck availability for the Midwest.

Delivery: The driver arrived as scheduled, but had no help and was going to move everything by himself. While talking to the driver I mentioned I wanted all of the trash taken away since this had been done during all of our other moves and to make sure he assembled the bed. We got into an argument about this and he told me I couldn’t tell him what to do and sat in his truck for quite some time. When I asked him when he was going to unload he said not until I treated him with respect and asked him nicely. I succumbed to his request. He then brought the contract into the apartment and asked me to sign the paperwork which stated I had received everything and that it was in good condition. I said I would be happy to once it was all in the apartment and I could inspect it. This led to him calling his supervisor and wrongly claiming I would not sign the paperwork. I asked to speak with the supervisor and that is when I was told they would not remove the trash and the driver was told to unload the truck. The driver then walked past me to the truck and cussed me in Spanish. When I told him I knew what he said he denied it and then called me the same thing in English. The driver began to unload and was taking the moving blankets off of the furniture in the parking lot so I asked him to leave the blankets on so that the furniture did not get damaged by the dolly. He proceeded to tell me how good he was and that he knew what he was doing and that he was going to unwrap all of it in the parking lot so I could inspect it out there and then sign the documents. I told him I would not inspect anything until it was inside the apartment. I then began to video what he was doing and when he saw me he quit unwrapping items in the parking lot. Things started to go better and when everything was in the apartment, but the bed was not unwrapped or put together he again tried to get me to sign the paperwork. I told him once everything was unwrapped and the bed assembled, I would inspect and sign. He then went off on me again and said that the only reason I wouldn’t sign the paperwork was because of the color of his skin and that I was a racist. He then went out and closed up his truck and came back without any tools. I told him I would be happy to sign once he put the bed together. He then took the paperwork and left claiming I refused to sign. My wife and I were left to assemble the bed and finish unpacking.

Long-distance move from San Antonio, TX to Cincinnati, OH

I didn’t know people this crooked existed outside the movies.

This company quoted me a decent rate initially, so I paid the deposit. When my movers showed up, they demanded almost three times what they’d quoted me for an estimate. When I called to inquire how that could happen, the salesman, Nate, who had given me such a great estimate said he would no longer help me because he doesn’t deal with customers after they have started the move. Then he hung up on me. I called his manager, Alexis, and she called me a liar (what about? I don’t know?) - I even clarified and asked, “I’m sorry did you just call me a liar?” And she said, “Yes ma’am, you lied to me.” She just hung up on me before I could get more clarity about what she meant. At that point, the movers who were with me in person told me my only options were to leave with only half my stuff, find new movers, or pay more than twice what I’d been quoted. This is how this company gets you - they make you think you’re getting a great deal by intentionally giving you a poor estimate, then when you’re already deep in the process, they move the goal posts and leave you with no choice but to pay them a ridiculous price. At that point they can be as rude to you as they want. If you’ve already paid the deposit for this company, and are having second thoughts, it’s probably still going to be cheaper, and mentally healthier, for you to cut your losses and find a better company. Don’t throw your money away to these gaslighters.

Fraudulent

I'm a female veteran and I was scammed out of $2726.00 by this company. They didn't move me but upon arrival doubled the cost to 9k. They didn't even show up in the 18 wheeler but a van. I was told to only pick a few belongings and if I wasn't happy I could move myself. I'm currently reporting them to the FTC for fraud because they won't give me my money back for breach of contract.

JUST DON'T

What little good review they have are definitely from friends/family. Avoid this moving company at all costs, as they ARE A SCAM. Also, their service is terrible. The guy I spoke with literally fought back with me when I called to complain. He had a - you signed the contract, too bad so sad, nothing you can do about it legally - tone. Now, that's a way to keep customers!

Take note that this moving company is a third party. They find and hire people to move your stuff for you. The actual movers are just given the job with minimal information. We had Top Notch Movers.

1. Sales rep gets you to sign the contract with verbal half-assed information.

For example, we were told we will get our stuff within 8-14 days. Based on this information we planned our baby to arrive to our new location a couple of days before 14 days (we were hopeful that the movers wouldn't take 14 days - THEY ACTUALLY TOOK LONGER).

When I called to talk about it, the guy said that it's 8-14 days from our availability date NOT FROM PICK-UP DATE. When I complained that we were not told about the availability date portion, the guy simply said that it was in the contract. Who actually reads these... We were going off of what was told us verbally on the phone.

2. We were given an estimated quote of $5000 based on inventory. When the movers came, they charged us double of $10000 because they go by cubic feet of how much space your item, so that it doesn't cost $10000 or just pay up the new amount which is double what was originally estimated.

I didn't ask about this portion, but this is probably in their contract too.

3. Movers finally show up several days later than expected - WITH A 18-WHEELER. There goes an additional $1500 for their inconvenience. We have to pay for a shuttle service. SO SORRY WE TOLD YOU THAT A 18-WHEELER WILL NOT FIT OUR NEW PLACE AND YOU STILL SHOW UP WITH ONE AND HAVE TO GET PAID EXTRA MONEY IN YOUR POCKET.

Guess what? This is also in their contract, but nothing that was verbally told :)

SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY take advice of all the bad reviews and STAY CLEAR from this 3rd party moving company. It is more work, but take time to find local movers to and from. Unfortunately, we did not have this luxury because my husband had to move to his new job within 2 weeks (while we were both still working at our old jobs + baby).

That being said, we will be moving to a more permanent home within a year, and this sorry excuse of a moving company won't have us back. EVER.

Cancellation

My move was canceled the day before when I had booked a month in advance. I planned everything around the dates they promised me and now I’m being evicted because I was not out of my apartment by the dates I said I would be because I assumed when I paid a large amount of money to Trinity and was promised certain dates that they would actually show up on those days. My mistake. Please take these reviews to heart it will save you a lot of stress and tears. I understand it’s not the company‘s fault that people canceled, but it should be their job to help you come up with a solution. Giving me a refund does nothing to help my situation when I need to be out by today.

I am so impressed with them

The movers were very flexible in terms of dates and times so we got ours at the right time. We also just missed peak season rates that would have had us paying about 50% more. We knew our things would have been treated appropriately which was evident by the way they handled them self. The moving crew was hard-working men. We would do it again if we had to.

DO NOT HIRE TRINITY!

Trinity provides poor estimates in terms of the cubic feet you will need in order for you to hire them.

Once the real estimates comes in the ACTUAL DAY OF THE MOVE, your cost will most likely double or triple.

Additionally, they would say that they "told you it was an estimate" and that "they told you it could definitely move"

Their customer service is the worse. Instead of being apologetic and tryin to help, they act nonchalant and tell you that they "went over the details and you signed your agreement".

Scammers and Dishonest! Stay away from this moving company

First, movers showed up with NO MASK which clearly violated Public Storage's policy, and I am sure his own company's as well as TRINITY.

His response was he would just keep his distance and place his T-shirt over his mouth. After he saw that would not be acceptable, he sent his co-worker to go buy some masks.

After the conversation of them not having a mask, he began to look at the items in the unit and quickly pointed out he would be charging additional money. I asked him why when I specifically told TRINITY, I had a full 10x10 unit and his response was that they are a 3rd party and are the actual movers.

He added that TRINITY just sells, doesn't know how to measure properly and always gets it wrong.

In the end, he added an additional $1200, for the 10x10 unit which I find absolutely wrong and just a "racket" since we have no choice as customers but to pay whatever they say.

I feel very mislead by Trinity as the movers made it clear to me that Trinity always does this and gets it wrong.

At the end when he charged the additional $1200 to the bill (and another $1200, once delivery happens) I told the driver I would like his boss' card, his response was "are you sure you want to this?" I said, "excuse me? he said again, "I'm asking are you sure you want to call the boss?"

I pointed out to the mover that his statement had a threatening innuendo. He said again, "I'm just asking if you are sure you want to call the boss?"

How should I take a statement like that??? And these people are driving to my home to deliver my items??

In the end, we have several issues to deal with, 1) not following COVID-19 standard protocols 2) being misled and held hostage by pricing and hearing from the 3rd party movers that TRINITY does this all the time and gets the measurements wrong 3) threatening statements being made to a (female) customer.

TRINITY did absolutely nothing to assist me NOT even take my phone calls. Tracy and Sadie would not listen to me personally as they were the ones in charge of reviewing my case but would not talk to me. Stay away from this company. Choose another company for your sanity.

Would recommend them to anyone planning a move

We had a big move with a lot of boxes, which we were stressing about. We had a three man team who turned up on time and were so polite, friendly, helpful and worked incredibly hard during a long day to get everything relocated safely, even stopping off on the way to drop off some furniture. Nothing was too much trouble for them, worth every cent for the peace of mind, absolutely brilliant.

TRINITY RELOCATION GROUP FARMED OUT OUR JOB TO A TERRIBLE COMPANY

Trinity was lovely to work with during the estimate process. They then farmed out my move to a horrible company (Patriot Relocation Corp in NJ, which has a D+ Better Business Bureau rating). Trinity also promised to complete various forms so that my employer could pay the moving company directly and never did. So I had to lay out $12k and wait to be reimbursed. Patriot took 46 days to move my stuff and used people they hired off Craigslist (during a pandemic) to move our stuff into our new house. Trinity was no help after we gave them their deposit. Things were broken, gouges out of our floor and our drywall and we were sent to a third company to file a claim and 6 months later we are still waiting. I don’t expect anything at this point. Worst experience with a moving company ever.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE USING TRINITY RELOCATION SERVICES!

I chose Trinity after seeing good reviews; however, my experience was a nightmare. I did not realize that they are a licensed interstate broker. They coordinate and arrange the transportation of goods with an authorized motor carrier. Once you have signed the contract with the carrier, Trinity has no control. I am infuriated that they would contract with a company such as NW Relocation, then be off the hook for anything further.

NW Relocation out of Oregon was impossible to work with. Bottom line: my father’s items were picked up 9/21/2020 and delivered 12/11/2020. The bed was missing, found, and delivered 12/21/2020. That is 3 months that I and my 74-year-old father, who is handicapped and wheelchair bound, lived in an empty apartment! Of course, there were contractual clauses with NW Relocation and my issues with them have been resolved, although not to my satisfaction.

I submitted a request to Trinity for a refund of the $1216 deposit paid to them. I presented a detailed timeline of events to no avail. I was offered a $75 credit for my troubles, but that came with stipulations regarding what I say in reviews. No thanks.

This company does all of the pickup and delivery for my custom made furniture design business. They are always professional and timely with deliveries. Do yourself a favor - don't answer the phone if Trinity Relocation is calling you. Here are the facts -

Received an estimate - deposit made after that, they don't care. 2 hours before the movers were supposed to arrive - I received a call, "tire issues" they will be there tomorrow morning instead. Had to call the buyer of my house and rearrange possession. I was told I would be compensated, talk to the driver and he will take care of it. Spoke to the driver the next day and he said you were never on my schedule. "I don't know what you are talking about."

Everything loaded on the truck seemed very nice and professional - then stuff arrived at my new house. Refrigerator damaged, lost some plates and other small items. Went to fill out a claim - they gave me the wrong claim company, then told me to leave a message with a new number and the gentleman will call me. The lack of customer service is a joke!

Bottom line - Don't use them - terrible experience - expensive and not worth it. They don't care, just want the money. Had to pay deposits on time, but when it comes to customer service and taking responsibility, Nothing! Use PODS - less expensive and at least you are responsible for your stuff.

Terrible Customer Service.

I’m writing this review here as well as any other moving review site because this company deserves nobody’s business. Their MO is to lock you into a reasonable rate and at the same time omit large items from the original quote hoping that you will not notice. Then when half your deposit is forfeit the movers come and increase the cost. Don’t work with this company they are shady and dishonest. On or around Jan. 20 2021. I received an estimate for a move from California to Maryland and subsequently after receiving video estimates from other companies chose to proceed with Trinity for around $7300. From what I remember I sent pictures to an Owen and possibly forwarded a completed estimate from another company. Assuming that the estimator did their job correctly I put a deposit down and proceeded with other necessary moving necessities. Having a lot of other things on my plate, I was unable to fully go over the original estimate for 100% accuracy. After seeing a number of red flags with this company we elected to cancel but were instead put in touch with an operations manager Jack Thompson on Feb 5th having already passed our cancelation window for a full refund and being assured that Trinity would get this job done, no problem we elected to proceed with the move. 3-4 days before our move on on 9 Feb we received an email letting us know that our move is soon and to add any additional items that we needed in order to calculate space. I was currently on a cross country drive to my new employment location and could not complete a full inventory of our house and again partly assumed that the original estimate was accurate aside from an extra tv that we needed to add. On 12 Feb. I had reached my destination and decided to do an inventory on our household goods vs. what was on the estimate. Multiple things were wrong on the estimate that I didn't notice before. Two of our three beds and bed frames were entered in with the wrong size and multiple large items were not even included in the estimate to begin with. I made the additions to a new estimate and sent it to Bruce Richards senior estimator. After going over the items he said our new estimate would be $10000 instead of the original $7300. He could not do a video estimate because he said he doesn't know how big things are on the video. 2 other companies I worked with required a video walkthrough before providing an estimate. When my wife called Bruce to explain the number of boxes she packed and items that we added, Bruce was rude, interrupting and talked over my wife multiple times. After getting on the phone with Bruce his excuse was that he takes a lot of calls and doesn't work in customer service. This is unacceptable behavior. When the customer service rep called me, she was also rude, she talked over me as well, and laughed audibly when she said I didn't understand how the process works. She also shortly after calling me simply asked if we wanted to cancel. There was no attempt to keep our business except to drop $500 off of the already $2700 increase. We elected to cancel anyway due to the lack of professionalism, courtesy, customer service, and outright shady business practices of not providing accurate estimates hoping that the customer wouldn't notice. When Jack the operations manager convinced us that we should stay with trinity, he assured me that I could call him day or night and that they would make our move as smooth as possible. After trying to call him twice, I called customer service to see if they could put me in touch with Jack. The customer service rep said "No, the operation manager is the owner and doesn't talk to customers." After explaining that I had already talked to Jack once before she said that was a one time courtesy. Not only is this company discourteous, disrespectful, and unsympathetic, they are liars as well. Overall I want this complaint to be on the record for others so when they see it they can steer clear of this shady, dishonest, and terrible company. Jack even had the audacity to say that he tries to run a company with Christian values. Not one bit of our treatment had a hint of Christian values. We lost a great deal of money, time and peace of mind from the interactions with this company.

It took me the personal moving experience to discover the perfection that comes with this mover. On the agreed date of relocation, The movers came very early in the morning. Absolutely horrible experience. Quoted a price which was far below what the ultimate cost was. The worst thing was that the movers they contract with did not estimate correctly how much time it would take them. I told both Trinity and the movers that our HOA has very strict rules on the times allowed. They disregarded this, had to stay an extra day and charged 300.00 before they would unload. Trinity basically told me tough luck, they would not guarantee anything. It was an exorbitant amount of money but it was the point. Don't do it!!!!! I must admit I was forewarned.

We hired them to move us at the end of January, 2021. We were moving from PA to FL. We carefully packed all out furnitures, etc and we provided them with the number of boxes we would be using. We didn't understand that as a broker they would be using another company for the actual move. For us that was All Points Movers. We were quoted a price of $2500 and on the day of the move, All Points said we need to pay an additional $1,000 in the form of cash or money order before they would begin to load the truck. We paid the money because our house was going to settlement and we had to be out. When we arrived in Fl, many items were damaged, ruined or missing. We were referred to All Points to put in a claim for the items. We wanted our stuff in tact....money is not going to bring back was they ruined. All of the folks I dealt with at Trinity were rude and not at all helpful. This is a scam. Do not use them...be warned. We will be contacting the appropriate government agencies who oversee long distance moving. Hopefully, they will be out of business sooner rather than later.

Recommended!

I was amazed by how strong our crew was. Thank god we used movers; we wouldn't really hurt ourselves trying to carry anything in even a way we thought would be smart. They were friendly while doing a fast job and taking care of my furniture. We finished early unloading at my new place and they helped me move things around as I made decorating decision!
