I was hopeful for a positive experience using Trinity Relocation, but unfortunately it didn’t turn out that way. I chose them based on their positive reviews by Consumer’s Advocate, but in the end that didn’t matter. I would recommend avoiding them.

It’s very important to realize that Trinity is only the broker. They provide an initial estimate over the phone, but it’s ultimately the moving company they choose that provides the on-site review and binding estimate. In my case, the difference between the initial estimate and binding estimate resulted in an increase of over $5000.

As far as the movers themselves, they also left a lot to be desired- a company called Affordable Moving & Storage. They proved to be anything but affordable, as I allude to above. WHATEVER YOU DO, WHETHER CHOOSING A BROKER OR NOT, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I am now convinced they are a shady, fly-by-night company, and I put the onus on Trinity for making such a poor selection of a moving company to work with me.

First, I had to wait nearly 6 weeks for my goods to arrive. This was a big inconvenience. The fact that they would only accept a postal money order or cash at destination for my remaining balance was another. They packed my goods fine at origin, but they didn’t mark all of the boxes with what room each one was packed from, so I had to sort through them at destination as they were being unloaded and mark what was in them myself. Another big inconvenience. Finally, they left without reassembling all the furniture they had disassembled originally, so I am now left to do that myself. All in all, it was simply a miserable experience working with them.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $12900

Like others here I had the same bad experience with false quotes. I moved from NYC to the Jaccksonville area. I was quoted with what I suspected was a to good to be true quote. I will say this as a positive. The initial custumer service team were pleasant and professional. However that all changed on moving day when I was informed that the quote I had been given was to low and I would need to pay 750 dollars more. I would also be dealing with them from here on out.I went from 1900 to 2700, which is what I was prepared to pay anyway but it is also the way it was presented. The worst was when they delivered my my stuff, which was on time BUT the truck could not fit into the parking complex so they could unload. I had to rent a uhaul and pay an additinal 100 bucks so they could shuttle my stuff from truck to my apartment. The final straw was the total disregard they had for my belongings, Several of my boxes had been tossed and thrown haphazardly around. I actually had a complete box of canned goods that had all been dented and deformed. They completely destroyed an item that had strong sentimental value.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2900

Would absolutely not recommend working with Trinity.

They picked our things up on Aug. 7th and I was told they would not pick them up more than 5 days before the day they were allowed to be dropped off because they didn't want to have to charge us to store them. We were able to have them dropped off immediately, and I was told by the sales person Henry Stiller that it would be a maximum of "10-14 business days" for delivery, but that for liabilities they had to say up to 21 business days. It took NUMEROUS phone calls and 26 business days to finally receive our things. In real time that is almost 6 full weeks, from August 7th to September 16th.

Aside from the absolute frustration that it took us so much longer to receive our things than we were told, there was zero communication from Trinity that they were even running late and we finally just started communicating with the company that they had brokered our move to directly. Every time we wanted an update we had to place numerous calls to Trinity customer service, and we were told we would be followed up with and never were.

The company our move was brokered to literally has a ONE STAR rating.

On top of not being able to get any updates from Trinity, and having to harass Cobra Van lines for updates, were were also charged almost $1000 more than our quote. Starting with when we realized we had double counted a chair and then replaced that chair with a small box which we were made to pay $300 extra for even though it took up an even smaller amount of space, to being charged $300 extra for a "small truck fee" that they company said was mandatory for ever coming into the city even though it was never mentioned during our initial quote, to the movers refusing to park directly in front of our building and getting two $115 parking tickets ($230 total) for parking in front of a fire hydrant that they left us to pay.

One of the movers also did not put a mask on the entire move even after I asked him to, he lied and said it was in the truck and then never put it on and I honestly didn't want to argue with him before he handled our fragile items.

Save yourself the utter frustration and do not move with this company if you can avoid it.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

This company performed to a quality level 5. However I gave them a 4 only because of customer service. Let me share a "solution" with you - only use one specific customer service representative for all of your needs. Somehow I ended up talking to numerous customer service representatives and critical information was not passed on between each representative. The bridge size limitations on my road prevented them from picking up my shipment - only because that information was not passed through the system. HOWEVER, THEY GAVE ME A FULL REFUND of my down payment! That is significant. I would use them again but stick with one customer service representative to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1700

We booked a remote out of state move and was told that everything would be packed, removed from the walls and that no one would need to be present at the property and this was a service they had provided many times before.

Late on the Friday, prior to the scheduled move on Monday we were told they wouldn't remove anything from the walls and we had to be present at the property so the move was postponed. We tried to contact the sales representative who we had been in contact throughout and they were unresponsive.

The rescheduled appointment took place and the cost of the move more than doubled, at which point we had no other option than to accept as we were out of state and had to be out of the property that day.

Despite complaining, Trinity have hidden behind policy and outlined how they tried to contact us but have ignored the fact that we also tried to contact them several times without response. I was assured a manager would call me to deal with my complaint but unsurprisingly no call was received.

In summary, be very wary using this company - a competitive price is agreed during the sales process which spirals on move day which leaves you no option at that stage.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $9000

We were moving from Boston, MA to Austin, TX. Initially the response to get a quote was good and once the payment was made as a deposit, the movers came in on Aug 3. It was a 3 bedroom, 3000 sq ft house at Boston. Only 2 ppl came to move stuff from home into the truck (one was an adult and other was a 16 yr kid). Movers took more than 13 hrs to move from house into the truck. This happened on August 3, 2020. During this entire process I was promised that I would receive my things in 10 to 15 days. I begged and requested for faster delivery due to my family health concerns (wife underwent a major back surgery and my mother needs medicine) and can not stay longer without bed set and medicines. We planned to live without the home stuff for close to a month expecting that we will get our stuff earlier than a month. Weeks pass by, nothing happened. Called Trinity many times and there was a lady at customer service who claims to be a manager, she says that she can't do anything and I need to talk to the truck company who took my stuff. She was rude to me and to my wife. If that is the case what is Trinity doing aside from taking the deposit money and nothing after that. There is no customer service at all. Today is Sept 15, 2020 and I am still being told that I will get my stuff on Sept 17th, 2020. I can't do anything except that I need to listen to them and stay quiet. Each time I call Trinity for an update and raise my concern that I have not received any update, they always say something new every time. Anyways, there is so much pain in this process and still expecting something good to happen.

We've had the worst experience with Trinity moving from NYC to SF. Initially, we received a very reasonable quote ($3,700) for a large 1 BR move cross-country. Throughout the process, we were very clear with our rep which day we wanted to move in (Sept 6), and worked backwards from there, using the kickoff date the Trinity sales rep recommended (Aug 19). Despite her repeatedly telling us our stuff would arrive in 2-3 weeks max, it is September 16, and we still do not have our stuff. Trinity has been highly rude to us when calling to inquire where our stuff is, and on top, of that, they have significantly adjusted up our cost estimate to $5,400 due to hidden fees and other charges that were not communicated to us (we still don't know what they all are). Avoid them at all costs if you value a reliable, timely and transparent moving experience.

Great experience using this company to move me yesterday. The price was great and the service that went along with that price was even better. The 3 movers were very friendly and professional which is the reason for my admiration. We had a lot of things to move and by taking a minute to plan things before they started actually saved them at least an hour in placing and rearranging. These guys worked the entire time! I mean they must have but I never saw them take a break. All our things arrived safely to our new home.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2763

Really this should be a ZERO star review as this company subcontracted our entire move. Told by our broker, Trinity Relocation Group, another company (Master Movers) would be making our cross country move and even told we had to get cashier's checks for all the payments, which we did. It was a red flag when we had been told Saturday would be packing and Sunday would be moving, but on Friday they called and said they would only need Sunday to do it all. We thought that would be impossible and it definitely was. They showed up on Sunday with only 3 people and one was merely a scribe. They taped everything with terrible cheap tape that won't come off and they didn't label a single box. Fortunately we had packed the majority ourselves. Then, around midnite, they let us know that we were going to have to pay another $4000 for them to continue because the broker's estimate was off. At this point, we had no choice but to pay them as they said they would hold our goods hostage. The best, though, was that as they were finishing up at they let us know they were not Master Movers and could not take our cashier's check, and that we need to use a credit card to pay the entire amount for the origin payment ($6973) plus a 5% credit card fee totaling over $300. Remember, this is 3 am on a Sunday/Monday- not like we can go to a bank. I argued incessantly and they reminded me that they could just unload and leave everything on our driveway. They left a very deep scratch in our hardwood floors, broke numerous items including our Big Green Egg, and managed to LOSE a full-sized Casper Mattress. We have made multiple inquiriesTrinity and every time they just give us the runaround. I wish I was a lawyer! We will be filing claim with BBB, AMSA, FTC, and the USDOT to try to get our claims handled and some compensation.

Move size: 4 Bedroom Home Service cost: $16817

I was handled nicely as I signed up with this company, however, it took them about two month-four weeks later than what I had been told to deliver. Upon delivery, there was only one person who was a bit overweight and was having problem loading the items as it needed at least two people to do so. I end up helping him as he seemed to be incapable of carrying out the job. it was a hot day and I was there with him for over three hours.

To make the matters worse, when moved the item to my new home from the storage, realised that they have lost two extra large boxes containing so many kitchen, personal, and very valuable items and had damaged several items. rough estimate of the lost and damage items would add up to over $2,500.00 and had given me someone else's box containing pictures and paper works.

After, their so called insurance company offered $15.00 for all lost and damaged items, which I refused it. I am very angry with this company as they don't stand behind providing better service.

So, this is warning for all those who are doing cross country move to make sure they are protected.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $3400

Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. I have never written a review but actually feel it’s my civic duty after the terrible experience we had with Trinity. Long story short - We moved cross state with 2 kids under 2 and the moving company was the most stressful part. The movers were rude and incompetent (Took 8 hrs+ on both ends to move 1300 squ foot townhouse - one guy ended up doing all the work), kept trying to charge fees outside of contract (ripped up initial contract in front of our faces and brought our stuff back inside when we refused higher rates, only to come back 2 hours later and reload), and compensation promised was never received (very willing to offer reimbursement for a poor job but never followed through). Lots of options out there - pick someone else

Brian and Jeff were both excellent to work with, they arrived on time with great attitudes and were professional and friendly throughout our moving experience. Both movers took care of our important pieces and communicated with us throughout the move, enabling us to help expedite the process where we could and giving us plenty of transparency around costs and timing. While we didn't move very far, they made the move as seamless and easy as it could possibly be, we would highly recommend Trinity Relocation Group for anyone looking to make a move.
