Long-distance move from New York, NY to Vancouver, WA

They don’t care

Do not use Trinity. Promises made at point of sell are all lies. Contracts read like Apple user agreements. I was told our items were shipping to WA from NYC the week of 10/24…after NO communication and number attempts to get an answer, we were told 7-21 days …on Nov 10… our stuff was delivered today 12/10.. we had to buy some basics and air beds. Horrible, unscrupulous, uncaring company with no integrity.

If I could give 0 stars, I would!

Unprofessional, dishonest, overpriced and with a binding contract they are free to break at any point while you are responsible for 50%. Estimate was incorrect. The movers are sub-contracted, and you should expect them to ask for more money. We canceled our move because they showed up unprepared and surly, but we were still held to a contract they broke. I would suggest hiring a company that does an in-person estimate and asks for a reasonable deposit. These guys are not to be trusted and we did a better job ourselves in the end.

Bate and switch

Trinity will give you a low ball estimate on your inventory you provide. They are a middle man and not the actual moving company. As soon as the moving company that they hire out comes the price will double if not more. I did not allow the moving company to proceed. Trinity would not return the over $5,000 that I paid them. They said I changed the amount of stuff to move. The mover that quoted us the day of the move had made a list of our inventory which was 98% the same that I had sent to Trinity. This company will take your money and never look back. The contracts are a joke. Please be aware and use a actual moving company not a broker. Look at most of the reviews I wish I had. Would have saved me $5,000. Original quote was for $14,000. Day Quote $26,000

Missing items, extortion, no responsibility

Don't hire this company. I used it in 2020. It farms out the actual move to another company and the one it used lost six items and other items were damaged. I filled out a form detailing what happened and they merely placed a couple calls to the movers and declared that ultimately it wasn't their responsibility. When I followed up again recently to ask about my claim, they initially at least found some records of it but then turned around and claimed that I hadn't done anything for two years so I was out of luck.

Bad Experience

Upfront, I was told what I wanted to hear. In the end, the delivery was a week late, furniture damaged, movers wanted additional cash up front for extra care not given, unprofessional movers without proper equipment were used. Trinity had control from beginning to end, without any responsibility for the outcome. Trinity customer service have told me twice there would be a cash resolution, but has failed to follow through.

Long-distance move from Cloverdale, CA to Clinton, MO

The most expensive and the worst.

This company holds themselves up to be one of the best movers, but they are in fact no better than the worst. They lie; they cheat; they are deceptive; they damage your goods and then push you off to some half rate insurance company that will not pay for damages incurred even after you have paid for the insurance. This is the worst business/service I have ever experienced.

I gave them one star because you cannot give them less. I do not believe their reviews. There are so many bad experiences I cannot even list them all here.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! GO WITH ONE OF THE CHEAPER ONES BECAUSE I HAVE USED BOTH AND THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST AS BAD AS THE WORST!!!!

Long-distance move from Omaha, NE to Ocala, FL

Would give 0 Star if possible

We got an estimate over the phone that came out to be $5034.54 from Trinity relocation group LLC, for a move from Omaha, Nebraska to Ocala, Florida. On the day of the move when the movers from Tacoma Movers, arrived we had 9 additional boxes than what we gave for the quote. The new cost of the move came out to be $7,614.68. Which is ridiculous for adding 9 boxes!! I had a very old couch set that I then decided I wouldn't move to Florida to save money so I asked them how much that would change it. The couch set included a couch, love seat and large ottoman. They then said the price would only drop down $500. We called the main office before we let them get started and they told us that because our amount of boxes had changed that there was nothing they could do and everything was being done "correctly." I believe they purposefully gave us a low quote to get us to sign then jacked up the price on moving day. We were told that our goods could get delivered anytime after August 15th. When we called on August 15th to get an update, the trinity relocation group did not even know where our stuff was. It was not until September 9th after my maybe 15th call to Trinity that we were able to get a location on our stuff, which was still in Omaha, Nebraska!! Our stuff was finally delivered on September 12th, however the entire time Trinity Relocation group told us they could not reach anyone at Tacoma movers and therefore did not know where our stuff was.

Uses 3rd Party & Does NOT guarantee Estimates

My move was over $4000 underestimated by this company. They are a third-party. They don’t actually move you. The prices they estimate per box are a guess and not the price the actual moving company charges. Their customer service was trash, unhelpful and would not answer the questions with this largea discrepancy. Caleb in customer service hung up on me. Do not hire this broker “moving” company. Unless there is an actual person sent to your house to assess your move, you will be paying far more than expected. This company does not do that. They will blame you for having more things than expected.

Local move from Cotuit, MA to Yarmouth Port, MA

Awful company

This company promises one thing, and then does not follow through. They never tell you that you CAN have an in house estimate of house contents verbally. A verbal estimate given is WAY lower than what one will pay. A move from MA to MI was originally estimated at $6800. Over two weeks prior, I informed them to put into free storage for a month instead, as the move would now just be in state. I was told over the phone, that the move should then be approximately half. They never lowered the price. When movers came, they walked through the house and had me sign papers. After the final load up, I was then told the cubic feet went from 1081 to 1996. Cost now was $11,000. A year ago, a move from RI to MA with MORE furniture cost $7500. This company wants to charge $11,000!! Worst service ever. Do NOT trust them.

DO NOT USE: Horrendous Experience

This company is a big scam!!! Absolutely Terrible! Do NOT use them! My experience with them is the worst I have ever had in all my years of moving interstate. Their estimate was a sham, and I ended up paying thousands more than their estimate after the movers came. The actual movers recalculated my entire inventory, and when I spoke with their customer representative, Lisa, she was rude and argumentative. I was on the phone severally with their agents and was not told any of the hidden or extra fees that I could incur, which was frustrating. My move was less than 350 miles, and I was assured that I would get a next-day delivery because of the short distance. The movers came late on the day of pick up and changed my delivery date multiple times. I didn’t receive my stuff until 4days later, and I wasn’t even told ahead of time so I could plan accordingly. I have been requesting my final invoice for a month with no way forward. These people are incompetent and unhelpful. I didn’t read the reviews, and I wish I had because all the bad reviews are 100 percent true! Moving is already stressful, and people hire movers to make it less stressful. However, this sham of a company made it extremely stressful, anxiety-provoking, and frustrating! Please take your money somewhere else where you would have truthful, considerate, and professional movers working with you!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We have had a horrible experience with this company. Everything seemed to be going smoothly with our move until our pick-up date was MISSED. After not being able to reach anyone the whole day, we sent an email cancelling service. They showed up the next day, after we were already in a panic and had rented a u-haul. They have been unwilling to reimburse any of our deposit that we paid. Ridiculous service and business model!!

Long-distance move from Burlington, NC to Muncie, IN

Beware!!! Horrible experience.

Be warned! This company is very hard to deal with. Do not trust any verbal agreements/statements with them as they often do not pan out (read the "1000" pages of papers that they send you carefully).

I was originally quoted $2267.73 for the services requested, but I was charged $2791.00. The reason why I was told I was charged more is because of extra cubic feet of stuff being moved. However, I was told several times over the phone when talking with Trinity members that I was so far under the minimum cubic feet load that I could add “20-30 boxes” of stuff and I’d still be under. I added 3 boxes. One box was 76x40x10 inches (item 1), one was 26x50x5 inches (item 2), and one was 22x24x14 inches (item 3). I notified Trinity well in advance that I had added items 1 & 2 and I asked for confirmation that I was still under the cubic feet requirement which I was ensured over the phone that I was.

Trinity’s customer service has been awful. They did not respond to many of my emails, text messages, and phone calls. And when I finally got to talk to someone, they were often not helpful and sometimes rude. Furthermore, I was often told conflicting information about matters that I had previously discussed with them. Additionally, there were many times when a representative would promise that they or someone else would call me back to resolve these issues “today” or “in 20-30 minutes'’, but then no one would actually call me back. Then I would call back a couple hours later and get told the same exact thing (and still no call back). Most recently, on Wednesday 7/12 I was told twice that day that I would receive a call back in 20-30 minutes. I am still waiting for that call back as of 7/17.

The companies that Trinity used to actually move my stuff were often rude and severely lacked in communication. The movers scheduled the drop off for June 19th, but they NEVER came and no one ever called me to let me know that they weren’t coming that day as planned. They didn’t end up bringing our stuff until June 30th. I had called many times to lock down a drop off day/time with them after they missed their first delivery, but I was not given an answer until a phone call on June 29th around 10 pm. So my wife and I were just sitting ducks waiting for them during this time period which forced us to have to cancel a vacation trip. I had to call Trinity many times for updates (to no avail) since the movers were almost impossible to get a hold off. The movers even had the nerve to call me one night to complain to me that I had complained to Trinity about them. Trinity should not be doing business with companies like this in my opinion for these reasons alone (and there were many other issues by the way). And when I email or call Trinity for updates or for help, they shouldn’t be rude to me or ignore my calls/messages.

There are more issues that we had, but I am sick of typing. If you'd like to see other issues, just look up there reviews on Better Business Bureau. Most of these are very relateable.

DO NOT USE TRINITY

Trinity relocation is a scam! They are not movers. They quoted me $2k and when the actual movers came they said it will be an additional $1400. I reached out to Trinity but their customer service Caleb said there were more items than I had estimated. I actually had less items and he told me “I’m delusional” and then he hung up. They are thief’s, liars, and extremely rude! I regret ever using Trinity and hope no one else ever has the aggravation I have had with this move. I still don’t have a date of delivery even though my son is moving into his college apartment in less than 2 weeks. Terrible terrible service! Corrupt at the core! Nothing exaggerated here!

Avoid at all cost

1. They lied. They told me they are movers, not a broker. They showed me the federal license to be a mover, not only a broker. (I should have double checked)

2. They damaged and lost my items. They hire unprofessional movers.

3. They cost more than what you agreed. Elevators? Dont care. More cost. Tip your movers for hard work.

4. The moving claims were a scam. They use a tactic to wear you down, forget about the claims. They compensate 60 cents per pound for all the items. 60 cents for your apple watch. 5 bucks for a broken TV. Everything. In my case, they damaged my desks, and lost a few things, $5000 in total. They are offering $78. A pure joke.

5. They mistreated me. They called me a liar a few seconds after I picked up a call. They keep charging for anything ridiculous.

6. They were unprofessional. Communications were unprofessional. Everything was unprofessional.

7. The worst part is that there is nothing you can do to make this right.

Pay an extra $1000 from the quote they give you because it will certainly cost less in total.

AVOID!!!

My original review was around 12,000 characters and I had to shrink it to under 4,000 to post this review.

In short- AVOID POSH MOVING AND STORAGE AND TRINITY RELOCATION GROUP!

• We hired Trinity to move our belongings from Washington State to Tennessee

• The quote we received was significantly less than what other companies gave us

o Makes sense now- you get what you pay for

o Also quoted us half the amount of space on the truck we would need

 Even after we downsized from what we originally told them

o Actually ended up taking double the space from the original quote

o Ended up costing us about $2,000 more than originally quoted

• They told us that our belongings would be delivered 10 -14 days after pick up

• Trinity sub-contracted out our move

o Hired another company named Posh Moving and Storage without telling us

o Posh came and packed our belongings on 7/27/2023

• Posh Moving and Storage did not deliver our belongings until 37 days after they picked it up

o They drove our stuff from Washington State to their warehouse in Nevada

o Claimed they had 30 days to deliver and would only tell us they were “waiting for a truck”

 They also subcontracted our move again to another company to drive our belongings to TN

o They said their policy is 30 days (which they didn’t deliver on), regardless of what Trinity told us

• We got a call out of the blue that our stuff was being delivered on August 14,2023

o A driver showed up with not even a quarter of our stuff

 We called Posh and they at first didn’t know where our stuff was

 Turns out the driver loaded up only some of it and left the rest

o Our boxes were scattered across the truck bed

 I watched the driver picking up our stuff and putting it back into boxes

 Straps were detached

 My BBQ was broken

 My Fiancé’s Lululemon mirror was broken

o Driver drove through our new grass while I was waiving my arms telling him to stop

 Driver smashed boxes into a new chandelier, put his hands all over the walls and got them dirty, Snapped his fingers at my fiancé and demanded water! He’s lucky I was outside when that happened! How disrespectful!!!

• We made repeated calls to Posh and Trinity to check on the status

o Posh continued to say they were waiting for a truck

 Turns out they wait until they can stack multiple moves in 1 truck so they can save a buck

 Posh would not provide the owner contact information

 We found it on LinkedIn and sent her a message- no response

o Trinity wouldn’t transfer us to a supervisor

 Caleb claimed he was the only one and his boss didn’t have a phone number

 Other woman we spoke to said there are several supervisors and transferred us- still no resolution

• Driver that Posh hired, delivered on 9/2/2023

o Driver said our driveway was too narrow for his truck

 Even though it is a long straight driveway and several big trucks had no issues getting there during construction

o Requested an additional $1,200 for him to rent a truck and shuttle it to our house

 We ended renting a Uhaul, meeting the driver at Walmart for him to transfer our belongings from his truck to the Uhaul

• Several broken items

• Driver said he did not pack the truck but made several comments about the horrible packing/stacking job and the lack of blankets used

• All our boxes labeled kitchen/glass/fragile were on the bottom of the stack and the boxes were destroyed

• End result

o Posh offered to pay us $20 per day for the late delivery

 Still haven’t seen that $20

o All of our kitchen glasses and bowls were broken

o We have 3 boxes of kitchen items that were completely broken

o Lots of our larger items: BBQ, Lululemmon mirror, kitchenaid, wood crafted bench, kitchen table, barstools, TV stand were scratched, dented, damaged, and broken

o Around $5,000 worth of damage

• Do not hire these companies! They don’t care about your stuff and will not own up to their word or replace anything they damage. They will try to scam you out of money at any opportunity!

Long-distance move from Bloomington, IN to Nashville, TN

Sold our contract to a different group

Trinity quoted us around $2800. On moving day, a DIFFERENT company showed up with no notice or warning from Trinity. They wouldn’t accept the same payment as Trinity (e-check) and demanded we pay via Zelle, money order, or cash - without warning. The new group raised our quote to $4,000 (we had an additional two boxes and three suitcases, but one less bookshelf. At $3.89/cubic foot there is no way it should have been an extra 1200). Trinity had to low ball the initial quote to get our business. The new movers damaged walls, hardwood floors, and were late for pickup. We had NO choice or notice in being handed over to the new group, the new pricing, or new payment method. I will never work with Trinity again. What a scam.

Please don't do this to yourself

Do not use this company. They hire third party contractors and don't know all the upcharges you will receive. They hire unprofessional movers. The mover had MY NEIGHBOR in my apartment helping him move my things. They lost my stuff. Completely unreliable. When I called customer service to complain they said they cannot escalate the call because they're all "managers" and the operations manager won't get on the phone. When I asked how to lodge a formal complaint they said to email them! HORRIBLE

Overcharge and under delivered

I hired them to move my things from St. Louis to Nashville. They charged me over $1000 more than what was estimated. They took almost a week to deliver my things, my furniture/other items were damaged, and they lost several items (including my golf clubs, trash cans, luggage, and other items). When I called their customer service, they didn’t help at all, instead they gave me a website to file a claim. A month has gone by and I still haven’t heard a word about my missing items. Scammy sales practices, DO NOT USE

Move was from Chicago to Virginia. My sales rep was Kevin. I’ve read all the reviews and many have confirmed my suspicions.

This is their ploy:

1. Give you a quote after you list your items.

2. Tell the moving company they contract out that you have “Y” about of things when you REALLY have Yx3 amount of things.

3. Movers arrive and say “this is more inventory than you told us (lie) and charge you additional money (my price went from $3k to $5800k and I had to pay.)

We unexpectedly sold our 3 seater sofa AND love seat which SHOULD have dramatically dropped the move price. Instead we were charged 2.5k more! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE to drop 2 couches off the list and still be over space allotment. This exact trap “rate baiting” has happened to many others. DO NOT USE.

Trinity= Will not return calls, will not take responsibility.

Great price, nice salesperson, Trinity hired Best Movers. When best Movers came out, they wanted 2k more? Hard spot to be in when day of move and moving across county from WA to FL. Best movers crashed into walls coming downstairs and huge holes. Household items missed delivery date. Best movers took several weeks to figure out where our truck was. 2 months later a different company came out from Orlando. Helper was complaining about not being paid for 4 hour drive time to Tallahassee with driver in one of our guest bedrooms. TV damaged with large hole in center of box through TV. Many house household items missing. Mover said file it with Best Movers and left. Trinity was contacted several times. Easy way to get in contact is act like you are setting up new move or you will not reach them due to caller ID. But in the end no return call. Horrible, criminal company Trinity is.
