The big thing you worry about when sending all your possessions off with some man in a van is whether you'll ever see them again, and whether they'll be damaged on the way.

With Seven Seas you don't have to worry about this! They'll most likely never even show up to collect from you in the first place (but they'll make sure to charge you regardless).

From shocking customer service, rude and unpleasant staff, misleading websites and hidden charges, Seven Seas has everything you could want in a moving company.

Seven Seas is never wrong! It is always the customers fault when things don't work out. And they'll add extra charges for everything they have to fix for their stupid customers.

Of course, Seven Seas staff are very busy (writing excellent reviews for themselves) and can't be expected to answer questions or explain how anything works. They'll promise you everything when you call to book, but don't forget to pay attention to the small print (hidden in size 0 font on an invisible page on their website) that explains all their extra charges they'll add on when they forget to collect your boxes, or decide that everything must be repacked.

As other reviewers have mentioned if Seven Seas paid as much attention to customer complaints as to the amount of online rave reviews they post about themselves they probably wouldn't have such bad service.

We have used this company a few times when travelling between countries but the last time their staff had the audacity to go through our boxes and STEAL whatever they liked. When we reported this matter as well as broken items to customer services their response was dismissive even though we had taken extra insurance on our belongings.

Their response is that because the items were stolen in transit, they don't know who stole them so we are not covered. If you do take the extra paid insurance it only covers you for non-delivery of the entire box and not for when their staff STEAL your belongings.
They have no intention of sorting out this issue as they know there is nothing you can do!

Please be aware of them and check your different options when sending your stuff home! Terrible experience and shocking how they can get away with theft with no repercussions!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $1300

I sent my stuff from Australia to Norway after moving back to my home country. This company is not trust worthy at all.
I paid what I was suppose to pay when I booked the shipment. But after they had picked up my stuff, they order me to pay much more then what the agreement was in the first place. The value of my stuff was not worth the price of the shipment they were asking for. I only had cloths and shoes and few books. They asked me to pay total of 4400 AUD for my stuff. This is really ridiculous because I used exactly the same company to ship my stuff to Australia. At that time I payed 2000 AUD and I had MORE stuff. This company is a scam. I got my lawyer to deal with them as they kept ignoring the agreement over and over. Please DONT USE THIS COMPANY! They were sooo nice in the beginning but as soon as they oick up your stuff, then they keep asking for more money for you to get your stuff back. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $4400

I sent a box from Australia (Sydney) to the U.K (Glasgow). It was a very bad decision to use this company as the package was not actually sent to the address I had requested. I told them how important this box was and that I needed it ASAP.

I called them after the supposed delivery date to find out where my box was. They said it was stuck at border control and they would get the box to me as quickly as possible as I had my kilt for a wedding in the box. After waiting and not being able to wear my clothes for the wedding (having to rent one and pay for it), I called them back.

My box had in fact been in Glasgow for two weeks but the automatic system had not worked and I had not been notified!! At this point I was very unhappy and annoyed at what had happened. This is exactly what I paid the company for but yet they had not delivered on promises. The only reason I found out the box was in Glasgow was due to the fact that I had called them.

I eventually got the box delivered to my house, (after having to lift the box up my stairs and it being in very bad condition).

The company failed to do what I had paid them to do. Deliver a box from A to B so I contacted them to make a complaint and ask for some sort of compensation. I was rudely told that I was not entitled to anything. Very poor service for the money I paid.

I've already written a number of reviews regarding Seven Seas on Trustpilot but the more exposure my situation gets the better. The move itself went well and my review would be 5 star except for Seven Seas continual refusal to pay out a small insurance claim. Two items were damaged on arrival. I had taken out premium insurance and so took photos of the damaged items assuming they would do the right thing and reimburse me for the damage. I then became embroiled in a game of tag between Seven Seas and their insurance broker because I had no evidence of damage to the box items arrived in. I didn't have this because there was no damage to the box. It's obvious the damage to my goods was caused by Seven Seas or their agents and a company with any moral fibre would realise this and pay out. Not Seven Seas, they hide behind hard to find small print and would rather spend time explaining why they cannot reimburse me. Don't use them, find another company and hope they actually know the meaning of customer service.

Do not use this company!! I shipped 9 boxes from Ireland to Australia on arrival to Australia a number of the boxes were damaged and many items inside the boxes were broken. One box in particular which has large 'FRAGILE' signs all over it looked like it has been used as a football. It was completely smashed and bashed in. Inside the box, the crockery which had been individually wrapped in the paper, twice then heavily wrapped in bubble wrap was broken. Among the other boxes, multiple items were broken even though they were also heavily wrapped in bubble wrap. Seven seas refused to take any responsibility and refused to provide any compensation for all the damages. They took weeks and weeks to reply to my emails and calls. The whole experience was very upsetting as some of the items that were broken had a lot of sentimental value. My advice is to find another company as these guys are unprofessional and clearly don't care about their customers.

Upon getting a response from Seven Seas I’d like to clarify a few things.

First of all, I chose to write a review on the service I received from this company which is what I thought a review was for.. I paid for a service that let me down so one star is what you get. Not sure why they acting surprised, I used Seven seas to ship 2 boxes and they lost it. They paid me an amount that covered shipping for losing this but that’s not the point at all. I didn’t insure it because the items have zero value to anyone but me.. yes, their customer service didn’t fail but the service overall didn’t meet expectations at all. I still don’t have my shipment..which was the reason I used this company’s services. I wasn’t happy when the items were lost and am still not happy so please don't think that I was fine after dealing with their customer service manager (nice as she was) and receiving a pay out. Money isn’t everything you know.

Our shipment of 2 boxes were lost after it shipped from South Africa to Canada. I was confused when I received 2 shipping confirmations 3 months apart. Apparently it didn’t ship directly and made a stop in China. Ok, but then I received an email saying it’s now considered lost. I’m beyond heartbroken as there are some very sentimental stuff in those boxes that can’t be replaced by any form of compensation. I can understand a small package getting misplaced or one box but both massive boxes? Very clearly marked? I’m so sad.
