Moving

The worst moving experience I have ever had. The promises of low prices go out the window from the first estimate. More of a bait and switch tactic. Best if one just goes with a large moving company. The mover showed up at 2 pm with only one helper. The truck had no lift or ramps to put on a 4 wheeler. We had to search for a local ramp to load the 4 wheeler. It was an unsafe loading putting myself and others at risk. The first day was short only 3 hrs. The next day they showed up with two loaders. The foreman was none concerned about my property pretty much forcing things to fit. I was told the crew would disassemble things and then reassemble when destination was reached. I had to spend over 4 hours disassembling things myself. The mover left without a walk through leaving items behind which he had to turn around and return to pick them up. The mover wasn’t prepared for the move there was not enough blankets to cover things and I was charged for things that didn’t exist. For example a television box that was wrapped with my comforter. There seems to be two entities one has to deal with the brokers then the movers and the ones that have the final say is the mover which dictates the price. Then I found out it was not a point A the point B delivery but the load went to a hub to be handled again to be loaded onto a larger truck for delivery. I would highly recommend anybody moving would stay away from using this company. They are full of empty promises!

Highly recommend!

I've never used a moving company before so I was very nervous to go with Safe Ship, however they were very easy to communicate with and calmed my nerves when they took every one of my needs very seriously. I would definitely recommend them if you're planning a move!

Stress-free

I am so glad I am not having to write a terrible review. I was really nervous seeing all the bad press that moving brokers get. My experience was pretty pleasant, the movers were nice and they took their time packing up my stuff. I paid for the platinum packing service because I just didn't have the time to pack everything myself. They did a good job, none of my stuff broke and it all got there in one piece.

Painless and stress free move.

Got a job promotion 700 Miles from my home ! Wanted to take half of my belongings to my rental. So I was not sure. So I provided him with an estimate of what I wanted to take. I received my quote at a reasonable price but after I hung up I realized I wanted to take more stuff and spoke to their quality assurance person and he was able to make the adjustments with no increase in the price per CF . I was very happy with the team !

Pleasant experience!

Moving my mothers belongings after she passed. Called Safe Ship Moving looking for people we could trust with her belongings. They patiently went through different options and packages to assist us. They promised that the customer service team would track the whole process which they did. I was happy when the truck pulled up and all my mom's things were there. Great group of movers

I would highly recommend Safe Ship! I have a china cabinet that I was very nervous about but they wrapped it for me and it was not damaged for the whole drive! They even arrived at my new location earlier than expected. If you're on the fence about going with this company, you should definitely do it!

Last Minute Solution

It was a last minute decision for me to pick up and move to New York. After I had called safe ship, they were able to get me a truck out to my house three days later! The movers were very nice and professional, they took great care of my things along the way. I am very happy.

Good Team

Very pleased with how my move went. Jamaal and the other guy were extremely efficient. They took care of all my belongings and told me everything they were doing. They moved my two bedroom apt into a two bedroom home in about 3.5 hours. They put everything in the respective rooms or basement. It was a pleasure working with them and very affordable. Definitely worth it!

Satisfied with this company

This company did an awesome job helping me and my family to move. Due to having to relocate for a new job, I needed a company that would be able to help us move quickly. The staff was friendly and responded to my every need. They were also very careful with all of our furniture. They were professional and made sure I was happy with the way things were going.

Thieves

Guys showed up to load my dad's belongings and left after 2 hours.. didn't return until 10am the next day after I called to complain.. same guys continued loading the truck that was just my dad's truck! Same guys drove and delivered the truck and unloaded it. Multiple bins were dug through and incorrect covers were put back on after stealing what they wanted.. Multiple bins missing including my dad's safe box that had our family's jewelry and rings,watches. Do not use this company unless you want to be robbed blind! They are doing nothing about getting our belongings back

. The drivers even admitted they stopped at home in Columbus Ohio

..that's why they were a day late..total crooks..

Cancellation attempt

I foolishly paid a deposit with this company, falsely thinking they would provide the service I needed. They were not willing/able/capable of that. I did cancel but due to my disabled son being hospitalized, I did not cancel within the 48 hour window so they get to keep all of my deposit, not just the broker fee. This is a rip off plain and simple. I have booked with another moving company who can/will provide the services I want. I'm not wealthy, I don't have $4,000 to just throw away. I am absolutely livid about this. I will make it a point to tell every person I know (and I know a whole lot of people....12k followers on Twitter, 66k followers on Instagram that this company is a rip off. Don't do business with them.

They say the stress levels from moving is right up there with death and divorce (not to be morbid). I originally asked Safe Sip to help me and my brother move. Safe Ship Moving & Storage are amazing

Safe Ship Moving & Storage are amazing. Loved that they showed up in masks and taking extra precautions during this COVID time. The guys were very friendly and professional. The moved my Grandmother bedroom furniture to my house. The furniture was handmade from early 1900s. The guys without an issue, wrapped each piece with extra padding, taking great care, and pride. They also unpacked it and set everything back up without an issue. They will be my first call for all my moving needs.
