Horrible experience. Their salesman will tell you whatever you want to hear but once they have your money they'll stop responding to you. Safe Ship is a broker that hire a moving company for you and they claim they vette all their moving contractors. But apparently to pass this review all you have to have is a pulse. They hired Bentley moving for us. They were a month late, double the quote, thousands of dollars worth of items is missing or damaged. Bentley stopped answering the phone months ago and Safe Ship will never call you back. The very little contact we've had with Safe Ship is just for them to tell us they're a broker and have 0 liability in this. The way I see it is they had one job; hire a competent moving company and they absolutely failed to do that. Their customer service is a joke; long hold times and canned copy/paste responses. All while my family was basically camping in our new home and spending thousands to replace these missing items. Of course I have a claim open, but they have been 0 help and the company they hired has completely disappeared. Like I said they're a scam, run as far away from this company as you can. I'd wager their positive reviews are bought. They offered us $300 to take down some negative reviews, so I'm fairly sure the little bit of positive feedback they have has been purchased. Don't hire this moving brokerage group.

So overall, I thought the company did fine as far as providing a truck/ connecting us with a moving company that did good work. The reason I rate them so poorly is their quote was wildly inaccurate. When we talked to them they insisted that the reviews that we had read about this were due to the customers changing their inventory or having more that wasn’t discussed. We kept that in mind initially and told them that we would be having them bring all our bulk furniture and about two dozen boxes. They quoted us at about 800 csqft. We ended up renting a U-haul and moving the vast majority of the stuff ourselves. Being on a time line and being two women though, we still needed the movers for the heavier items. We updated our inventory and provided an overestimate of our boxes (to about 75 total) When talking to the quality person, he told us we would still be at 800 with the subtraction of the furniture and addition of the boxes. We ended up having about 50. We also left behind two pieces of furniture that were on the inventory list. All this to say, we as the customers were absolutely under the amount of items that we had discussed with them. On move day we were told we took up 1200 and I had to find another $900 dollars on the spot. No options to work with people in that situation. Had we just been quoted accurately from the start, we likely still would have used them as the price wasn’t that bad overall. Most other companies quoted us nearly double what this move ended up costing us. But not being put in a situation where moving is already expensive enough to not need unexpected hits to the budget in a COD type of situation. Basically, do better on the quoting! And customers who chose to use them, expect it to cost a solid 2 grand more than what they quote you. Don’t buy the BS that this is a customer issue over a them issue. It’s not.

I was skeptical about hiring a moving company due to previous experience, however this was a smooth and pleasant process for me. Staff was professional, patient, and efficient with services. I asked for last minutes requests in which they were happy to accommodate, not to mention friendly staff that made me feel comfortable.

Received a violent voicemail from an employee on a company phone in the middle of a domestic dispute. The same employee who was in charge of our inventory estimate which ended up being 2,000$ over which we didn't know until the day the movers arrived. The only compensation offered was an "apology" that I had to call for to get and was told the employee was fired. So the incident was so bad he got fired from the company but they don't do anything to a over paying customer!! Horrible costumer service, unprofessional and dishonest. They promote being veteran owned but don't practice those principles.

It is incumbent upon me to share with you a tale of greed, sorrow, and a lack of humanity by a company you have listed as a "premium" mover, Safe Ship Moving Services.

Up until last Thursday, 11/16, 2023, my 77-year-old mother was looking forward to what she thought might be her last great adventure; she was moving to Kansas with my older brother, Jeff, who was providing her with a beautiful new house and "a place in the sun."

She has had many adventures, joining the USMC in 1964, marrying another Marine, my dad, whom she met at Quantico. She has been a semi-truck driver and just a ball of fury and energy my whole life. The death of my oldest brother, Richie in 2009, gutted her, so any happiness she could find, like that she was planning to begin tomorrow, when Jeff flew in for a late Thanksgiving and to take her home, was a blessing and a miracle.

Thursday, evening, my last surviving sibling, Jeff, also a former Marine, came to an unexpected and tragic end while he was pulling into a weigh station with what would be his final milk truck run. He had a massive heart attack at age 55. Jeff had just re-connected with his only child, his daughter, Talia, whom he had not seen in over 30 years, and they were looking forward to building a new relationship. He was excited and hopeful for the future, but instead, he died.

In preparation for the move, my mom had a heck of a time choosing moving help. Finding companies who would not trick her, cheat her, and which she could afford was her top priority. Using the endorsement of your organization among others, was what made her believe she could trust Safe Ship.

She could not have been more wrong; her trust was horribly misplaced.

While performing the horrific tasks associated with the death of a loved one, like cancelling the electricity and cable at the home she was planning to live in, cancelling her last son's final flight home, and making funeral arrangements, she called Safe Ship to inform them of my brother's passing, cancelling the move, and grateful she would have the $2,556.59 deposit she had provided back to help with my brother's final expenses and to give her money to live on now that she would not be moving to Kansas.

It never occurred to her that greed and adherence to "policy" from a multi-million-dollar company who refused to return her $2,556,59 would make this already nightmarish week worse.

My own grief, the ability to stay on my feet and keep breathing is challenging for me right now. This was my beloved Jeffy, my last brother, my last sibling. I don't know how to live in a world without him in it, but I must fight through.

So, I am coming to you now to tell you a little about me. I know customer service; I've been doing it for over 30 years and am now a Global Escalation and Resolution Manager for a multi-billion-dollar company. I know how to treat my customers as human beings and meet people where they are. I do not fall back on something as arbitrary as saving a buck or adhering to policies, which we also have, but I have recognition of what matters the most, which is why I am successful at my job.

I would be interested if a company which my company endorsed engaged in practices like this; I promise I will not let this stand and have the expertise to use social media, BBB, (who I have already opened a formal complaint with),and all other mechanisms consumers have access to let other consumers know about inhumane and cruel practices by companies.

I implore you to re-think your endorsement of this company, particularly after the disappointing decision they have made to inflict additional pain and trauma on my mother for the low price of $2,556.59.

I will make sure the world hears of it.

I recently used Safe Ship Moving for my relocation from Utah to Seattle, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and stress-free.

First and foremost, the customer service was truly outstanding. The team at Safe Ship Moving went above and beyond to ensure that all my questions were answered, and they provided clear and timely communication throughout the entire move. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly remarkable.

The actual moving process was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. My belongings arrived in Seattle in perfect condition, and the movers were efficient and courteous.

I also appreciated the transparency in pricing and the absence of any hidden fees or surprises. Safe Ship Moving provided a competitive quote, and they stuck to it.

It's a hit-and-miss with this company. I used their services two times in 2023. First of all, their sales guys always try to reduce the total cubic feet to show you a lower estimate. So, make sure you double-check the items properly. For patio chairs, the sales guy just wrote chairs and I had to pay more at the end. Also, I had to pay more for the glass top on my patio table.

They also expect you to read the whole agreement and do not want to tell you that:

1. The movers can arbitrarily increase the total cubic feet.

2. The movers will charge more for long carry (sometimes they park far to get more money).

3. The movers will arbitrarily decide if they need a shuttle service and will charge a lot of extra money for that.

4. The movers may charge extra for schrank-wrapping your stuff.

I was happy with the quality of service of their first moving company, but the second one was horrible.

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. They quoted me 4000 initially after I described them my belongings. They did not do a video survey. They blew me off saying that can be boxable etc. They gave me a really low box count to get me to sign with them. I am not experienced in moving so I believed them. When I got the quality assurance call, even though my itinerary hadnt changed my estimate more than doubled just 3 days before my move. The quality assurance person told me they gave me too low a box count. When the movers showed up, the actual cost was 1000 more. The first estimate was not accurate and if I had gotten an accurate estimate I would not have gone with this company. I felt like they deceived me with a small quote and lowballed me to get me to sign with them. I will never use this company again.

So, I needed to my son moved from Austin Texas to Virginia. I called safe ship moving. They quoted me around $2900 (my son was moving one bedroom of stuff. I thought this was a bit high, but it is what it is. I was assured that his computer, that he self-built would be safe. It was the only thing I cared about considering he is a computer science major. I was told three times that it would be handled with the utmost care. When Perfectly Fast moving got there, they tried to tack on more money (around 600) due to extra needed space. I was told by safe ship that there was plenty of space for his one bedroom move and assured again everything would be great. Safe ship did handle this after I called them and complained about the extra charge. They make it to Virginia in about five days, not bad. Here comes the bad part of it. My son's computer was ruined, wouldn't even come on. We took it a pc repair store and they said chances are the motherboard was ruined in the ship. Since he was in school, I spent ($1100) on amazon buying the parts to fix it up again so he could use it. So, I then filled out a claim for about his original pc. When I received an answer back, they offered me $30 for the damage. Then someone at perfectly fast started blowing up my phone while I was at work telling me that they would replace the motherboard at full price. Well, full price of the mother board I bought was around 549. He then said he would go up to 60. Then he accused me of trying to upgrade my son's pc at his cost. He proceeded to go on eBay and find an old component for 69 and said he would buy it and shipped it to me. For what?? I bought new components already. I really felt they were responsible for at very least a new motherboard. The computer that was ruined by them in the move ran great while in Texas and they wanted no responsibility to help make it right. This one bedroom move cost around $4000 for me. This company simply does horrible business and shame on safe move for hiring them for my sons move. I originally hire safe move because they are veteran owned and I'm a desert storm veteran. Frankly I would stay away from both movers again but in particular perfectly fast. They would at best get a one rating only because of the five-day delivery. Expensive move and damaged goods are not in my book anything that would allow me to recommend either company to anyone. Hopefully my experience isn't the norm but are you willing to risk it? $4000 total for one bedroom move? Just Yuck ! Perfectly fast finally offered $300 for the damaged but I could not recommend either company again and feel ok with it. Shame on both !

I wanted to write and offer you our most sincere thanks for a wonderful move from Austin, TX to Williamsburg, VA. The moving company you contracted, Arena Van Lines Inc, was professional, friendly, timely, hard working and most importantly....very careful with the packing of our HHG. Shout out to Alex and Serge...they did an amazing job. We packed out on a Saturday and they delivered our HHG the following Friday. As military personnel, we've moved many times, and this was without a doubt the best move ever. Thank you again to Safe Ship Moving Services and Arena Van Lines Inc for providing an outstanding move!!

I selected Safe Ship based on their assurance of delivering my items within four days, coupled with a competitive price compared to other moving companies. However, during the pickup process, I encountered discrepancies. Despite having fewer boxes than initially estimated, I was informed that I would require more space and was asked to sign blank documents, with the promise that costs would be filled in later. I declined, leading to an "estimated" cost significantly higher than the original quote. Additionally, I was almost charged a 3.5% fee for using Cash App, which was later confirmed to be unauthorized by Safe Ship's customer support.

Contrary to the promised four-day delivery, my items were not delivered within this timeframe. I later learned that movers have up to two weeks to complete delivery after the specified date, a detail omitted during the initial quoting process. Despite my persistent inquiries, with customer service promising delivery "tomorrow" for a week, my items arrived a week after the intended delivery date.

Furthermore, upon delivery, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $500 for a shuttle service, a fee not disclosed during the quoting process. Customer service explained that such charges are at the "driver's discretion," meaning the driver could impose this fee arbitrarily.

The accumulation of these undisclosed charges and the need for constant communication with customer service caused significant inconvenience and frustration. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using Safe Ship for moving services.

We are utterly disappointed and disgusted by the appalling service provided by Safe Ship Moving Services. Two weeks have passed since I sent a detailed email outlining the traumatic experience my family endured during our cross-country move, and yet, we have not received a single response from the company. It's evident that they couldn't care less about their customers, and their disregard for our concerns is beyond infuriating.

From start to finish, our experience with Safe Ship was nothing short of a nightmare. We were promised professionalism and reliability, but what we got was the complete opposite. The misrepresentation during booking, the unprofessional behavior of the moving crew, the false promises, delayed delivery, and the damage to our belongings—all of it has left us feeling robbed and betrayed.

What adds insult to injury is the lack of accountability and responsiveness from Safe Ship. Despite reaching out to them in hopes of resolving the matter, they have chosen to ignore our pleas for help. It's as if they think they can get away with scamming their customers and leaving them to deal with the aftermath alone.

I cannot emphasize enough how frustrated and helpless we feel as victims of this scam. Safe Ship Moving Services has shown their true colors, and it's clear that they prioritize their profits over the well-being of their customers. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all costs. They do not deserve your business.

You never realize how much stuff you have until it's time to move! My apartment was a bit of a mess when the movers arrived but they where helpful, quick, and efficient. They clearly communicated their fees upon assessing the volume of stuff I needed to move, along with the additional costs associated with stairs/long walks from truck to apartment.

I was originally estimated ~$2000 but the total came to ~$3000. This was explained in detail , which again, was from stairs, more volume than I expected, and the long walks. Be a as precise as you can with your situation for an accurate estimate!

When things were settled, All of the large furniture were carefully covered in blankets and swifty moved to the van. And they were accomodsting with some last minute panic packing and disassembly.

From then on, it was time to drive across Texas, and they made a beeline for the destination. They were able to arrive just as fast in their large truck as my compact car!

Ive moved across the country 4 times, its stressful. Its even worse when you accidentally hire a shit hole company that screws you over at every turn.

They doubled the price - i had to pay an additional $7k on top of the $6k i had already given them. There were four guys that came to pack and move my furniture. None could speak well enough English and they ended up leaving so many of my items behind, i had to ask neighbors to ship my remaining things. “Perfectly Fine Moving” was the name of the idiots they sent. Some Russian guy who was a complete dick.

ZERO COMMUNICATION on what time the move was happening prior to. I had to call them and email them for 3 days to get a response. I feel like every person there just flat out lies about everything.

I went through the list of my items TWICE. The first time was with this guy named Dustin & the second time with Tim. Then the Russian guy gets to my house and says all the things i have on my list “aren’t on his” so they charge me extra, SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS EXTRA. Mind you, I’m LEAVING to move right then.

They said they were going to be at my house at 11:00 AM to move & unpack. They showed up at 5:30 with ONE PERSON to help them move me. So on top of having to pay all that extra money I also had to UNLOAD my own stuff.

They left all of their garbage here for-me to clean up AND didn’t set anything up but the beds.

Soo many broken items… a 1920s antique desk of my grandmothers, ruined. My coffee maker, ruined. I’m sure there’s more, I’m still unpacking.

And what kind of company doesn’t take CREDIT CARDS???? Venmo or Cashiers check and they charged me 3.5% in Venmo.

These guys are the WORST I’ve even encountered. Don’t use this company!!!!

My elderly family member recently moved from a 600-square-foot home to a 640-square-foot apartment 53 miles away. They decided to hire a moving company independently, without any input or guidance from the family. Shockingly, they spent $5,000 for the service, which included packing, moving, delivering, and unpacking.

On the day of the move, three men arrived with a box truck and packed up almost everything in about three hours, leaving some items behind. We then waited over two hours for them to arrive at the new apartment and when they did they unloaded quickly. Another family member and I were at the new place to help unpack. To our dismay, none of the boxes were labeled, and they piled them up to the ceiling before leaving. Despite paying for unpacking services, the movers left us with a chaotic mess.

As my sister and I began opening the boxes, we discovered that nothing was wrapped properly. Drawers were dumped into boxes without any organization, and items like lamps were thrown together unwrapped, leading to numerous broken items. It took us weeks to sort everything out and clean up the mess.

This was the most disorganized and haphazard move I have ever witnessed. My family member even tipped these movers on top of the $5,000 fee. The damage is done on our end, but I strongly urge you to avoid using Safe Ship Moving. They outsource to local movers, and the people who showed up were clearly not professionals. We even found trash packed in the boxes. Spare yourself the headache and avoid Safe Ship Moving at all costs.

My experience with Safe Ship Moving Services on July 15th was incredibly disappointing. The movers showed up hours later than scheduled, causing a major disruption to my day. Once they arrived, they seemed rushed and unfocused, leading to careless handling of my belongings. Several boxes were improperly packed, resulting in damaged items, including a cherished piece of artwork. Communication with their customer service was equally frustrating; I struggled to get a response to my concerns about the damage. SafeShip will try to seem friendly on the initial inquiry, but once you pay your deposit, they do not respond to your calls. They also are very loose with their ETA times. I was misled, and I feel as though I wasted my money. I booked them for a Aug 29 delivery with a 1-10 day window, and it was not met. Not only did they not abide by the window but they refused to give me any update, unless I called the,. DO NOT BOOK THEM. Kevin Rogel proved to be a vague broker as well. Beware of his sales pitch.

Not a real moving company, they are a broker that contracts with the lowest bidder. Was given an initial estimate and told they would meet any competitors price, so when I got a lower price they agreed to it. They also claim to be veteran owned and operated, since I’m a veteran myself I chose to go with them. About 2 weeks before my move I asked for the date to be moved up, they said they would take care of it, day before the move I called and found out they never changed the date. But they claimed to be doing me a favor by getting a crew to be there the next day. However, then they said the original estimate was wrong and wanted $5k more, I had no choice since the move was supposed to be the next day, however after arguing my point with them they did come down some, but I’m still ending up paying $2k more than expected. Movers was supposed to be at my house between 12 and 6, they didn’t show up until nearly 8 and only 2 guys, and he tried to say I was going to have to pay more, I refused due to the already debacle we had. Now today, the same 2 guys arrived 2 hours late, still no big crew like I’ve been told would be here, I have little confidence they will get the job done today and I’m supposed to close on the sale tomorrow. This company is a total shakedown and should be ashamed of using veterans as a way to scam money. It’s ending up costing just as much as a real moving company such as Mayflower, stay away from this terrible lying scamming company and go with the professionals. Hopefully I actually get everything moved in 1 piece but I honestly have no confidence and no other options. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!

I was able to meet with Rudy and Alejandro with Perfectly Fast Moving Company through Safe Ship. The two were very professional, fast, and communicative. Rudy made sure the keep in contact with me for when they were arriving, arrived on time and within the time frame I suggested. The two did a great job of packing all of my belongings and explaining it all to me very well. I would gladly let them handle my moves for me again in the future.

Also, this was my first time using Safe Ship and I absolutely enjoyed my experience with them. Everyone that I encountered was very kind and professional. Safe Ship made my move from TX to CA very simple, easy, and stress free. All for a great price too!
