Safe Ship Moving Services

I foolishly paid a deposit with this company, falsely thinking they would provide the service I needed. They were not willing/able/capable of that. I did cancel but due to my disabled son being hospitalized, I did not cancel within the 48 hour window so they get to keep all of my deposit, not just the broker fee. This is a rip off plain and simple. I have booked with another moving company who can/will provide the services I want. I'm not wealthy, I don't have $4,000 to just throw away. I am absolutely livid about this. I will make it a point to tell every person I know (and I know a whole lot of people....12k followers on Twitter, 66k followers on Instagram that this company is a rip off. Don't do business with them.

This company is a total sham! In addition to what the other reviews say about it being a broker and the price doubling at pick up, they also completely screwed us on our timeline. We were quoted 14 days for a cross country move. It will be 6 WEEKS by the time our stuff arrives (yes, it’s still not here but we just finally received word from the company they jobbed it out to that our stuff will arrive at the end if this week.) 6 weeks with 2 kids and no stuff! Insanity

Broker that charged me $4000 to find a moverwhich I could have done myself. My cost of moving went up $5000 from estimate, they did a poor job in estimating what was being moved The moving company could not fit all my items on my truck,and was delayed 5 hours in starting to load. I was guaranteedto have my furniture on a specific day, it was a day late. They give you 2 days that they will pick up so you don't really know. I had to continually call the company to find out what was going on. Horrible experience, would NEVER use or recommend them. Wish I had read the other reviews before I used this company.

My husband and I have moved cross country multiple times and even rented our own uhaul boxes. We used safe ship to move just 180 miles and it has been the biggest nightmare. Everything they said has been a complete lie and we have yet to even leave our current apartment to move four days past our first confirmed moving day. They first told us on the phone that since we’re going such a short distance that it would be a same day or next day delivery. Then when they said they were coming to pick up our stuff that it could be a week and if we wanted it any sooner we would have to pay a dollar per mile. We said fine, we’d pay it even though this was never told to us. Then they said well if you want it expedited we can’t pick it up anymore today we will come tomorrow. So then we had the next day booked. Well the next day rolls around and turns out they cant do that day either and they push it again to the following day. Then the next day rolls around and they are now telling us the SAME THING. I tell them “if I had known it would take four days to even pick our stuff up then we would have never asked to get it expedited.” And they tell me I should be lucky because they have some people who have been waiting 29 business days and still haven’t gotten their items delivered. We now are four days past our moving day and are just praying they’re even showing up still. USE ANYONE ELSE OR JUST MOVE YOURSELF. THEY ARE HORRIBLE.

We moved from salt lake to Alpharetta. They will leave no chance to get you booked saying the best in moving industry and they have best rating and competitive price in the location. I told them like 20 times not to miss pick up date giving them 2 different dates which was 3 days before the travel date but still they missed both the dates and came on the travel day to pick up and ended up almost missing our flight.

They got the things on time but damaged our sofa sets, bookshelves and lost band gave themy not covering them while transporting. Also instead of blanket they got the paper sheets to cover the remaining furnitures, luckily we packed our tv ourself with complete protection.

At the time of booking they also said they will be sending min 2 men to pick up stuff but only 1 person came which took 4 hours to clear the house where as it would have taken just 2 hours or less. Also he did not disassemble anything saying he doesnt know to do that.

It was so frustrating that they took money saying they are the best with so many things in the list but ended up doing just the opposite of what they said - missed 2 pick up dates, no blanket packaging, no disessemble service, no track on where the package is after pick up and just 1 man to pick up

But even after the drop off they misguided us purposefully to claim the lost and damaged goods by redirecting us to some CSI claiming service where they said the claims will be settles in 120 days and to be patient.It took hours to sit and upload all picks and they need atleast 3 pics with every discription of damage and the model number, price, color size etc of the items. After 2 months I received an email saying the claim was closed as the Safe ship moving company contract expired with the carrier which is North America LLC(which is a non rated movers and the Safe shipping wont give you the carrier name until the last moment).

They literally took all chance to cheat the customers just for booking money. Now they just gave the carrier number and said to contact the carrier itself as Safe ship moving LLC never touched our goods and they aren't responsible for anything. They said to read the contract which stated Safe ship is not responsible for anything. Worst company. I do not recommend this unprofessional movers. The only good thing is the customer service will pick up the phone. Even though u end up getting frustrated about their service at every stage.
