Long-distance move from Marietta, GA to Houston, TX

Total Scam - I should have review them first.

My 79 year old mother hired Priceline Logistics for a move from Marietta to Houston. She told Priceline she had a 1 bedroom apartment. They called her and she walked them through what she he had. The original quote was for 284 cu ft. Then they called because they could not send out someone to measure the load. After talking to her and her explaining how many boxes she had, they jacked the price up $1,000 and the cu ft to 386. Total $4K. The moving company showed up and said the job was over $5K more than the quote. The new total was $8600. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PRICELINE. They do not answer their phones. It's a typical bait and switch. They price low, get the job and screw over 79 yr old people. Good thing we are from a family of attorneys and know the law. They loaded the truck, then did the bait and switch. AGAINT DOT LAWS. The moving company they brokered the job to knew the law. Once the truck is loaded, they cannot change the price. The movers and my mom could not reach Blake or anyone at Priceline. TRUST THIS REVIEW. BUYER BEWARE. TOTAL SCAM.

Terrible booking company...did not get the job completed as per contract

Horrible experience with this booking company. Communication was extremely poor for updates. Not once did i receive a call from them to receive updates on the move...Everytime i called i was told somebody would contact me back with that information. Then, the morning the movers showed up, i get a call stating they were a few hours away.

In addition, i contracted this company to have my piano moved. I confirmed with the booking agent that there is a flight of stairs on the delivery side, none on the pickup, and they would bring it up and put back together. The movers arrived and said they were not contracted to move it up the stairs and simply left it at my front door, refusing to move it in as i originally contracted to do unless i pay them $1200. Now i must find another moving company to bring in my piano.

Furthermore, the contracted movers asked me to borrow a measuring tape and was never returned. Lesson learned...don't let movers borrow tools.

Moving made better with great customer service

Amanda - Mae , customer rep- at Priceline Logistics made the what was originally a terrible experience, turn into a great experience. She went above and beyond- from the soothing and professional tone ...to actually delivering efficient and knowledge service. You can tell she knows her stuff, she got my quote ready and my contract ready to go in no time. Really honest and reliable service. If your looking for a mover - rest assured with Priceline Logistics. I've moved many times in my life- but this one was a notable difference.

Long-distance move from Fayetteville, NC to Panama City, FL

Bait and switch

Bottom line up front: Priceline Logistics LLC is a bait and switch company. Having said that, its my fault – I should have read ALL the reviews and found someone reputable. My story is like so many on here; they quoted me a decent price, upped the price a bit just before the move, then upped it again on the day of the move. I felt sorry for the movers, as they seemed to genuinely feel sorry for how things were going.

I booked the move for the third week of July around six weeks prior. I took pictures of everything (98% of my stuff was in storage, the other 2% at the AirBnb I was staying at), and was quoted $6,574, minus tariff discount of $2,524, plus fuel surcharge of $405 and a “binding estimate fee” of $1,521.37, bringing the total to $5,476 (yeah, the math doesn’t work, I’m just reading off the estimate they sent me), of which I paid a down payment of $1,689.37. This was 23 June. On 19 July, Jim Miller, the “Senior Relocation Specialist” called and informed me that the estimate will have to bumped upwards – nothing on paper, just a phone call to inform me I’ll need to pay another $500. I had a hundred things going on at that exact moment, so I okayed it – stupid of me, but I guess I’m the trusting kind of guy. Keeping track? That’s $2,189.37 I’ve paid these people.

Now comes moving day. The crew was to meet me at the storage unit, as that was where the majority of my stuff was located. They arrived, and the head mover guy called in to “dispatch”, who informed him to take pictures. Mind you, I already took pictures – Jim Miller told me it was required to move forward with the moving request. The head mover guy did so, then was told to go to the house (my AirBnb) and take pictures there as well. I was a bit ticked off at this point – we’re here now, lets load up the truck! So we went to the house, the head mover guy again took pictures of my few items there (a queen mattress, a bed frame, four small tables, a coffee table, a TV, a futon, four boxes). Then he was told to tell me the price went up another $1800 and is now (this is from memory, as it was not on paper) $7,400ish. All of my stuff in storage, plus what was in the AirBnb went into a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT prior to putting it in storage and moving into an AirBnb for a few months. I asked for an explanation, mover guy attempted to get them to call. I called them, no answer. I gave them a half an hour, no call.

After that, I told the movers to leave, then rented a Penske truck and hired a couple of people to load the truck. A day later, I contacted Priceline and asked them I expect a full refund of the $2,189 they owed me. So far (two weeks) nothing. I don’t feel I am not liable for anything, what do you think?

Don’t be fooled by these unscrupulous people. Don’t deal with them, and pass the word to any family and friends that are ready to do a move. If you are military, don’t mess with this company. Let’s all get together and run them out of business – they don’t need to be screwing people out of their hard-earned money.

SCAM

I'm an elderly woman in Alabama looking for help to move to my son's in Illinois. David Thomas was so polite and helpful lies came flying out of his mouth. Such as they will arrange dismantling and packing. When the movers got here they were really surprised. I got charged $200 extra for changing the date. Once they had my deposit and extra fee I couldn't talk to anyone. They kept that and the rest of the charge went to the actual moving company. They dropped me immediately. These people are professional scammers. BEWARE

Poor Customer Service

On October 20, 2021 I got a quote from a Jake Walker. When I got the quote and told him that I wanted to keep shopping around, he got really aggressive and rude. However, the price he quoted was a fairly decent price. So, I called back today, October 29, I spoke to a new representative (I think his name was Matt). Matt was also a little rude but manageable. We walked through updated items on my list and I got the quote, it was higher than other companies so I told him that I'd like the quote sent to me. He asked if it was a price issue and I said yes. Just like Jake, he got aggressive and started trying to sell why they are better company. I stopped him mid sentence and explained how I've moved across country 4 times now and I know how the process work and that I'm not trying to be rude but I'm burnt out on hearing the sales pitch. He responded "I'm burnt out too. Have a good day." Then I hung up. If you're thinking about using this company for your move across country, be cautious of the poor customer service.

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Nebraska

ZERO STARS. STAY AWAY

PLEASE STAY AWAY from this company! I have been without any of my personal belongings for over a month, with no attempt made at delivery.

My main concern is the very obvious bait and switch scam that I found myself in. When I first spoke with Travis from Priceline in July 2021 to book my move from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Lincoln, Nebraska, I talked through all of the furniture in my one bedroom apartment, and let him know that I would have from 20-25 boxes to pack and move. Travis let me know that the end of the summer was a very busy time of the year for them, put me on hold so that he could "find a truck" that was available, and then let me know that I was in luck, and there was a truck available for my move on August 29, 2021. He then "crunched the numbers" and told me that, based on the amount of items I needed to move, it would be a total cost of around 2,500. He told me that would be split into three payments, an initial payment to confirm my truck, a payment at the time of pick up, and a payment at the time of delivery. I agreed with that breakdown, and signed the initial contract.

Then, on Friday August 27th, I spoke with Billy who conducted my "quality assurance confirmation". Billy walked through all of the items I'd originally listed on the confirmation, and I confirmed that I did not have any additional items, and that I'd make sure that there were no more than 25 boxes. Again, Billy confirmed the original price quote with me, and I continued under the impression that, since I didn't have any additional items to add, the original quote would be my final payment.

Priceline then sent a completely separate company to pick up my items. They then demanded more than $5,000 for the move, telling me that the space my items would take had DOUBLED in size. I told them that was just not true, I did not have one single item more than I had told Priceline for my quote. I was in a total bind as I had less than 24 hours to vacate my apartment and get to Nebraska to start a new job. I felt I had no choice but to pay them for pickup and allow them to take my things. The move took hours and they caused significant damage to my apartment for which I am now liable.

We agreed on delivery on September 11th. I have been consistently calling Priceline and the third party company for updates. IF priceline answers the phone, the employees are rude, disinterested and unwilling to help. The carrier that actually has all of my belongings does not even answer the phone at all. It has now been over a month without any of my belongings or any substantive updates from Priceline, or willingness to help me. In fact, the "emergency dispatch" number they give you to call/text for updates has BLOCKED ME. How is that for customer service? I am losing all of my money trying to buy the basics so that I can get through the day, and sincerely regret calling Priceline in the first place. PLEASE take this seriously and STAY AWAY. All of my belongings are being held hostage and I have no attempts at resolution from Priceline.

Fraud

Beware!!! If you are planning to move do NOT use Priceline Logistics. My daughter scheduled her move from California to Texas

almost a month ago. When they arrived to pick up her furniture and household items, they told her it would be several hundred dollars more than the original price.

She is still waiting for the movers to arrive in Texas. We have an extremely difficult time reaching anybody on the phone and when we do The delivery date keeps getting pushed back further and further. We have also been told that they are not able to contact the driver. Most of the time they don’t answer the phone or call back, and when they do respond, they are rude and disrespectful.

We still have not heard from Priceline Logistics about where our furniture is. at this point, after digging a little deeper and doing more research from other reviews on this company I’m very concerned that her stuff is stolen as well as her money.

Good customer service - need better estimates at front.

Good for the most part.. Not 5 stars because quote change 2-3 times at time of reservation & also on quality review call they were trying to find opportunities for additional charges, i knew my volume size because i was able to find a tool online that actually tells the volume of you items... they are a broker and they initially had my service with a company that was not even 3 stars and had multiple complains and bad reviews online, i ask for a different carrier and Jameika on customer service was really nice and helpful in helping me do that, the company that did the service was great the service was completed in 4 days for a Mini Move 286 sqft from Ohio to Texas, Pickup on a Wednesday and deliver by Saturday.. i did the whole packing myself wanted to take care of all my item. Jameika in customer service was very helpful she gets the 5 stars

Awful. Movers they brokered were minimum of 4 hours late for pick up.- also has at least 37 Better Business Bureau complaints and not expecting much of my stuff to survive. Hidden or unexplained fees and then said would take only cash payment or an online payment through an app.app won’t work with bank, so trying to get full price of move, ignoring already paid hefty deposit, plus a fine at delivery. Horrible

Update: per our contract it stated ‘refund if don’t move’ and they are now choosing not to honor that. good thing we have proof and held onto our contract. will make good discovery in a civil case. we already made a complaint to BBB as many others have. I guarantee they will be shut down within a year. they are a SCAM!

they have been calling to try and get us to sign paperwork and we will not sign anything further to benefit them unless we get our money back.

Here is a review from a real person, since all their ‘good reviews’ seem to be bought or fake. Please do not trust this company. They make their money off of under quoting and then the 3rd party movers come on move day and quote another price. This is common from past reviews. The new quote you receive is much higher- ours was double what was in our contract. an increase is understandable but to double our amount from 2K to 4K when we did not add extra items is unreasonable. we decided not to move forward. good thing my family is full of attorneys and is handling communication for us moving forward as we are requesting a refund. side note: on move day only one person showed up (how does one person move heavy stuff) also very unprofessional, did not look like a professional mover at all- sketchy.

Move from NV to AZ

This company is absolutely terrible. If I could give negative stars for their performance, I most certainly would. They started by giving me the wrong pick-up date. I had to call them when they didn't show up on the date and during the time they told me they would arrive. Deon told me that he made a mistake and that the moving company would arrive the next day between 0900-1300. The next day, when the moving company had not shown up by 1300 (and after 5 phone calls to find out where they were), I finally got a call from the movers. They didn't actually arrive until 1600. Our delivery took 2 weeks and involved me calling Priceline Logistics eleven (11) additional times and being given three (3) different ETA's, none of which were kept. On my twelfth (12th) call to them, I was told by someone named Joe Jerry, who claimed to be a manager, that he had "moved some things around" and that my delivery would arrive in a couple of hours. Knowing that my goods were coming from Las Vegas, I knew that this could not possibly be true, as the drive time from Las Vegas to Phoenix in a truck is at least 6 hours. This appeared to be yet another case of them providing inaccurate information, or flat out lying to me about my delivery. When the movers finally did arrive, they delivered all of my goods to the ground, even though my quote was for 12 stairs to the 2nd floor. My apartment complex has 17 stairs (who knows how many stairs their new place has before they move in?) and the movers told me that their boss (Jon from JD Movers in Las Vegas) wanted to charge me an additional $50 per step to bring everything up to the 2nd floor. After calling Priceline's after hours number (it was now 1900 local time) I got in touch with Kiki, who told me that she was trying to negotiate with the owner of the moving company to reduce the charge for the additional steps. She never called me back, and neither did Jon, the owner. After unloading all of my household goods to the ground, the movers left without telling me, and left everything outside. My wife and I were left with no recourse and all of our possessions on the ground to bring up to the second floor ourselves. If you want to be charged lots of $$, have to re-schedule your lives around incorrect pick-up and delivery dates/times, pay for a second floor delivery and have to bring your possessions upstairs yourself, and have to make almost 20 phone calls without anyone from Priceline calling you to update you on what's going on, then this is the company for you. If you are a sane, reasonable person who expects to be treated with respect, and who expects that a company will perform the services for which you have paid, I suggest you run as fast as you can in the opposite direction of this company and do not look back. Wesley, Deon, Kiki, Mary, and Joe (all of whom I spoke with during my many, many calls to this company) do not return calls, do not reach out to let you know what's happening, and when you do get in touch with them, virtually none of the information they provide is accurate.

Long-distance move from Yuma, AZ to Vancouver, WA

Feel like I was duped.

Initially I talked to Travis from priceline. They were the first company to contact me when I began researching movers to move from AZ to WA and I really liked talking with him. He was helpful and made me feel pretty at ease with the move, we took an inventory of all of the items to be moved and he gave me a quote of around 5k to move everything. That sounded pretty reasonable to me considering we spoke at length about disassembly and reassembly of the furniture and that there were two large tvs that would need to be moved. He said that was all included in the quote.

I went up to Washington to work and set up a new place for us to live. My wife had to set up a second inventory that was even more thorough itemizing every single thing to be moved, and counting all the boxes and sizes of boxes and furniture. This was a comprehensive list and ended up being more expensive. I had already paid 1300 dollars down to secure the move and after that second inventory they required an additional 1700 and increased the final bill by another couple thousand dollars.

When the movers arrived on the agreed upon day my wife called me in a panic because apparently the inventory and quote we were given didn't quite cover it. The tvs would cost extra to move and somehow, despite getting rid of several large items, like an exercise bike, several boxes and a pile of other things, the overall space used was underestimated by something like 300 cubic feet. Which tacked on another couple thousand dollars.

Oh and now that all the stuff was loaded they wanted 4000 bucks and they wouldn't take a card. My wife had to venmo the money and was told there would still be 1500 more to be payed on delivery. She was upset and called me at work, I immediately tried to get ahold of priceline and couldn't. I sent an email to them and was called later by the after hours person and assured they would go over everything with the management and call me the following Monday.

Monday came and went and I was not contacted by anyone.

Our stuff arrived pretty quickly to our new place which I was impressed with but when it showed up to be delivered it was mid afternoon and it was only one guy. We had a 3 bedroom apartment to be moved and once again had to find a way to venmo the money to start unloading which my wife did after being assured there weren't going to be any more surprise charges. This one guy then ended up moving everything by himself because apparently nobody else showed up. After several hours he finally had it all in and started reassembling one piece of furniture, a loft bed. This was getting on towards 8pm at this point and was getting nowhere. I get up for work at 430 am so I wasn't too keen on staying up all night with this one guy trying to reassemble all the furniture so I guess that we will handle it all ourselves, despite paying around 9000 dollars and having that included in the service.

I honestly feel ripped off. I was given a quote based on walk through and inventory where I measured everything with a tape measure and gave them the dimensions. Then my wife gave them a second inventory that went even further with almost exactly every item to be moved and somehow their quote was off by thousands. I wish I would have dug a little deeper into researching this company. I would have seen that my experience is not unique. The next time I move I will not be using priceline logistics.

I take my experience as a payment for a very expensive education on who not to use and hope this will keep others from trusting this company.

Where is our things?

Before our stuff was even picked up, we explicitly told them our availability for the delivery. They also told us that it would be 7 to 10 business days from the day of the pick up. It’s been 10 business days and they said our stuff is not even in the truck to get here yet. I’m pregnant and sleeping on an air mattress, we can’t afford to purchase everything we already have. All we want is our stuff to be delivered. I’m tired of having to call every time and get the same information over and over.

Constant Price Change

While they were more polite than anyone else I spoke with, they take advantage of COVID, with no in-person walkthrough of what you are moving, and the fact that most people do not move on a regular basis. I got on initial quote. When we had a call to confirm everything the price went up - "Oh, when you said Queen bed, we just estimated based on a mattress; you have a box spring and bedframe too?" Then, when the movers arrived in AZ, the price went up again because, somehow, it was still more than they were anticipating (we did not move a lot of stuff). At that point, though, they have you over a barrel and they know it - you don't want to pay the higher price, fine, we won't move you. And, even though we were told to have a certified check for Priceline, since it had been subcontracted out to 500Move, they couldn't accept the check, and we had to give them a credit card (which we had been told we could not do). The only reason I am not giving then 1 star is because the movers who delivered our furniture were fantastic. However, all-in-all, it was a terrible experience.

Move - OH to TN

If you are trying to move efficiently and on any sort of timeline whatsoever, I highly recommend you do not use PriceLine Logistics. My initial experience was great, the sales person was available to answer any questions, and I truly thought I was picking a great company. Fast forward to the week of the move, I had requested a Thursday pickup and Friday delivery, I was told that would not be a problem and they would pick up on Thursday to deliver Friday. This also goes along with what I was told by the sales rep, that we will find a truck going the same direction, but if one is not available they would send a truck and movers for just your things.

Come the Tuesday before I was now being told it was going to be Friday or Saturday before things were picked up. Had they told me in the beginning that a Thursday pick up was not available, I could have planned for this and not had to be out of my apartment on Friday. After going back and forth with CS they advised they would be there and have all my things out by 5pm on Friday. Come Friday at 1:40 (they were suppose to arrive between 2-5pm) I was being told that it would now be Saturday morning before they could pick up. But, to make up for it they offered to “throw in some free boxes”. Coincidentally this gracious offer was made 20 minutes before I was expecting them to pick up my things and at that point I had quite obviously packed everything.

After speaking with their customer service they told me there was nothing that could be done, but they would deliver either that Sunday or Monday. Shockingly enough, it is now Tuesday and I am just now being told that it will not deliver for another week. I am unsure of where exactly my things are or when they may arrive. Luckily, I packed a lot of my clothes in my car so I at least had clothes to wear to my new job after waking up on the floor.

This entire process has been nothing short of a pain, if this is going to be how customers are serviced it’d be nice to have known up front. They are using predatory selling techniques and blatantly lying to customers.

Movers came on a Sunday, promised me my stuff would be there on a Thursday.

We get to Michigan from South Carolina and call the movers, there’s been a delay and your stuff is being loaded today and it’ll be there in 1-3 days

So me and my wife and two kids are in a house with nothing, no big deal we’ll tough it out. Monday comes around I call again

The trucks are delayed again it’ll be there Wednesday or Thursday. Now I get mad because my kids and myself are without anything. No big deal what are you gonna do

Call Wednesday, they don’t know when your date for delivery is gonna be they’ll hopefully have it by Friday for you.

So these people who we paid thousands of dollars for have just been jerking us around. No apologie, no let me see what I can do. Unprofessional, uncaring.

I’d hire two guys in trench coats before I’d hire this company ever again. If there was a rating less than 0 they’d have it. Do yourself a favor and do not pick them. Unless you have weeks to be without your stuff and money to blow on new things
