CRIMINALS - You Won't Get Your Belongings.

It's been since September 20th, 2016 since this company picked up everything I own from my apartment. Since then, when I call from my personal phone I haven't been able to get in touch with "Bob Roland" (the driver), or anyone else at this scam company. Not only did they collect a cash deposit upon pick-up, which was more than what the total estimate quoted, but now they have everything I own held hostage. I've done my research and found that they use a fake BBB review for a company called Prestige Moving & Storage. They have F ratings all over, which is why they are not insured. They are not family owned and, instead, subcontract out all jobs. All of your valuable things will be stolen and IF you do receive a delivery most will be destroyed. Their (855) phone number is a dispatch so they can answer their cell phones from all over the country (WI, OH, FL, etc). I can't get a hold of anyone during regular business hours, but when I have friends call from different numbers in Seattle, Chicago, etc. they've answered at 2:00 am to prey on another unsuspecting victim. Scam!! stay away!

Moving Services Group (US DOT 2398933) provided me with a binding estimate for my move from MN to NY of $2520. I was told my pick up date would be 11/5 or 11/6. As I was already in New York, my boyfriend would be the one on site in MN to let the movers into the apartment to load my items onto their truck—they claim on their website and on the binding estimate that they are not brokers and have their own fleet of trucks for delivery. I paid a $756 deposit via online check to secure my spot and lock in my price. On 11/4, I received a call from dispatch stating that my pickup would actually happen on Sun 11/6, which was in their original pick up estimate time frame. When my boyfriend was on site, the people who actually showed up were from Priceline Moving and Storage d/b/a Prestige Worldwide Moving (US DOT 2632688). I was never notified by Moving Services Group that a different company would be transporting my goods. Prestige Worldwide Moving showed up in a Penske rental truck. Kenneth the Prestige driver, told my boyfriend that we had more items than originally estimated and needed to charge us for the additional space on the truck. Worst experience ever.

NEVER GIVE THIS COMPANY A DEPOSIT !! THEY STOLE OUR DEPOSIT OF $600. We had an agreed upon rate with Prestige - a driver from another company shows up and claimed the move would be 3 times the agreed upon rate. Our Inventory matched the exact Inventory provided to Prestige - we as consumers did everything correct. Prestige said that since the driver felt Inventory exceeded the Cubic foot determined by Prestige that our deposit was non refundable.

This company is not accredited by the BBB as they claim on thier website - Do your Homework on this company they are CROOKS !! Read some of the other reviews here and you will see Prestige takes advantage of those when they are moving and very vulnerable.

Do not use these people.

Obviously the reviews that are good for this company are written by themselves. They are a complete and total rip off. Quote you one number, tell you it's going to be $1000 extra when they show up. On the phone they told you a specific date of delivery and when you are waiting for it to show up and call them they say it's going to be up to 14 days and they do not know where your furniture is. They should know exactly where the delivery is, the number of days and the number of stops the truck has before yours but apparently they do not. Beyond rude and condescending on the phone. One guy really is nice who talks you into the moving process (Jason) and when the other calls you back (Josh) he is unbelievably rude even though Jason says to you on the phone a time quote (3 days) because it is not written in the contract then they pay no attention to it. When asking why this is the case I had responses such as 'you should have scanned the contract' 'it was only a short contract' 'how could you think 3 days was enough' I'M NOT A MOVER AND I DIDNT QUOTE MYSELF WITH THAT TIME!! He raised his voice at me and was no help at all. I would pay NOT to use these movers ever again. Currently sat…

Pick up was days late.

I had a family emergency so I didn't badger them about delivery. I knew they would call to set up delivery. After two weeks of taking care of my mother in the hospital and having new carpet installed I began to worry about my belongings. The staff at Prestige in Florida were not worried. Their line was "well I don't know what to tell you. I'm sure you will here from the driver tomorrow. Never heard from anyone. I asked the main office to track my stuff and they never called me back. When I called them, they said "tomorrow".

They finally gave me a number of "my driver" who answered my call but said that he had just been to IChicago, but didn't have my stuff. I finally got the driver's number's number off of my caller ID who picked up my belongings three weeks earlier. He located my furniture in 48 hours. It was at a warehouse in New Jersey. He had it on a truck the next day.

Almost every piece of furniture has been scratched, ripped or is filthy.

I also had to pay a lot more than my estimate, but by then I didn't care. Had I known I was going to spend $3,500 I would have chosen a more established company.

Scam.. Stay away!!

SO as u know I went online to get a moving quote.. Prestige blew my phone up until I decided to give them a chance and let them move my stuff.. I talked to Anthony and then Johnathan Bailey and they quoted me a really low price so I went for it.. then I talked to james who said I had to pay check by phone and I wouldn't do that so he said I could pay with my debit card, but I had to send a picture of it in an email back to james with a picture of my license.. so I did.. They said my things would be picked up on October 26, well after I sent the items asked for. No one ever called me back, I had to call them for a confirmation.. so. Then I called the next morning to see what time they were going to pick up my stuff and they tell me it going to be Thursday.. but can't give a time.. so I call Thursday and I get to talk to some rude lady in sales because I can't get anyone I. Customer service. Well she tells me that the driver is in the hospital about to die and they had to call in someone else that its going to be Friday between 12 and 3.. well this is after I have been around and around and around with these people . Do NOT using this company.

The reason they charge a deposit is so that if you subsequently find negative information online about the company that you've already spent a chunk of money. I tried to use movinginsurance.com to insure this move and the told me "We can't work with that company because they have an F rating on Better Business Bureau. They're using a web of different names, to move beyond negative ratings". Hence why they only have positive reviews on Consumer Affairs!

The language in the email quote says "ACH deposits are nonrefundable once the reservation has been made". I never signed ANYTHING, just paid the money. We never scheduled anything. I wrote to them the exact day I paid the cash because that's when I heard from the insurance company. "Frank" who is supposed to be available 24/7 did not answer. So I sent an email, and another on Saturday, and called again and again.. I'm got told when I finally got through to "Josh Williams" that the move is fully scheduled and deposit non-refundable.

DO NOT PAY ANYTHING. Use someone else!
