The moving team covered my thick rugs and pricey carpets in large plastic sheets before placing them in a blanket and zipping everything up. They did such a great job protecting them that I was thrilled to meet them finally. I have nothing but praise for them!

Not what they look like on the reviews

My mother-in-law needed to move and I wanted to help her in any way that I could. I told her that I would take care of the moving details. I did my due diligence and researched reviews of countless companies. I picked the top 3 that looked best and got quotes. One Source Van Lines wasn't the cheapest and it wasn't the most expensive. I provided them with the list of furniture and since she was selling the house, they pulled the pictures of the furniture off of Zillow so that we could get the closest estimate possible. The thing that made me choose this company over the others was Joann and what she told me. She said the reason that we aren't the lowest is because most companies will give you a cheap quote and then they will increase the price on the day of the move. We won't do that to you.... My response was of surprise! I did not know that moving companies did such a thing. I appreciated her honesty and her commitment to not price-gouging my mother. I can appreciate an honest company that tells me everything upfront. The quote was for $5590. This would be to move all of her furniture from Cheney Washington to Boise Idaho (6.5 hour drive). In full transparency, she did have a baby grand piano and heavier items like a china hutch. We ensured that we listed all of this for the initial quote. We decided also to have her car shipped so that she wouldn't have to do the drive alone. This quote was $695 for the car which is a separate moving process. One Source called her 3 days before picking it up they adjusted the price to $11,000 (Full disclosure we did add on more boxes so we expected an increase, not $6k worth for approx 20 more boxes). To our surprise, One Source Van Lines outsources to another moving company. This company shows up at 3 pm on the day of the move with two guys. They walk around the house and then tell us the bad news. The price has now gone up from $5590 to $11,000 and now to $14,386. That nearly tripled the initial quote. We were told that the initial quote was not correct and that they also forgot to charge for packing materials. How could someone make that huge of an error in the initial quote? So now, since they waited till the day of the move, she has no other option than to pay them the money. She called One Source to report this and the person on the other line had the audacity to call my mother condescending. The customer service was not professional. After the call, they send me an email offering to credit her either $300 now or $450 in three payments. The caveat to this is that she will have a contractural gag order that says she cannot say anything bad about One Source. My belief is this is how they get people to stay quiet and not write bad reviews. There is no way that we are the only ones who experienced this price-gouging nightmare. My mother opted to not take the money so that I could write this review and warn others of this company. Also, I wanted to note that they also outsourced the move of the car as well. They did not come and pick up when they said that they would. We had to give a window and we said 1/28-1/30. They finally ended up coming two weeks later on 2/15 and tried to charge her an extra $80 at the time of delivery. In conclusion, their initial quote was egregiously underbid by $9k, the companies that they chose to stand behind were not what was promised, and their customer service lacked empathy. How this company has such a high rating is absolutely mindblowing to me.

Scammed out of half my refund

Scheduled pick up with them and was told that if i had to cancel i could call withint the first three days for a full refund minus a 15% cancelation fee. I called the next day to cancel and was told i would have my money in three days. Two weeks, almost 20 calls, a bank dispute, and one report to bbb later they have finally agreed to refund half my money and use the other half for "credits towards your next move"

Dont use their service, they will lie to you to make a buck, and if you ever try to cancel they will pull every trick they have in their sleeve to keep your money

AWFUL DO NOT USE

This is my second time writing a review. I feel like they removed mine somehow? Look through the reviews. A lot of the recent ones seem well timed and fake. Anyway, short version; these people schmooze you at first then once they get your stuff they DOUBLE the “estimate” throw you to some subcontractor and give zero f*** about anything that happens. Still dealing with one of their horrible subcontractors to get my MISSING ITEMS. I will be reporting this company and Sky Van Lines Inc. to the BBB. Wildly disappointed. The fact that they scammed me out of money is unfortunate but having missing items and no one doing anything about it is worse. Don’t trust them.

Brilliant Movers

Fabulous mover

For a careless person like me, One Source Van Lines LLC movers are a little too much; their workers pay meticulous attention to the tiniest bit and would not proceed until they're sure the item is securely packed. What shocked me was how they still managed to get the relocation done before time.

Price increase

In all my years, I have never written a negative review on any company that I have dealt with. I felt compelled for numerous reasons to help others looking for a mover. My issues with them are very similar to many people. They are a broker. They are not the people that will be moving you. They hand off the job to an independent company who will assess the inventory and the price given by One Source (this is the morning of your move while they are at your house).Since they are an independent company, they do not have to abide by the One Source contract and fee given. This unfortunately will be the second price change. The original price you receive over the phone will be cheap and based on your inventory. Two days before the move, you will get a call from Mike, who is the quality assurance manger (not a nice person) and he will revaluate your inventory looking at it through your house pictures on Zillow. Mike or another quality assurance person will inform you your furniture and other belongings are larger than just giving the info to the sales person over the phone. So this will require more cubic feet of truck space. He initially wanted 3800 more and went down to 2000 more for the EXACT same items on the inventory. He was a real SOB about it too and how much time he has wasted on this. At that point I cancelled because after reading reviews, the next step was for the actual moving company to raise the price when they arrived.

Fortunately, I placed my de[posit on a credit card instead of giving them my bank information which is what they wanted. With this, they get to keep your deposit.

All of this pressure happens two days before the move. Most people unwillingly agree because they have to move on the scheduled move date due to new job starting, kids are enrolled already in their new school, your current home buyers are moving in, etc. So most people have no choice and will agree to the price increase and say they will follow up after the move to get their additional funds back. It wont happen. They will use the cubic feet increase. We non moving inexperience people go by the inventory list to move. When I gave them the list to move, the cubic feet doesn't matter. It's their experience to figure out the cubic feet and truck size.

If you add any item to the original list (you will and they count on it), they will slam you for the increase and will be justified. The cubic footage comes into play then. Mine was for the EXACT same (not even a spoon more) and was still hit with an additional 2000.

I'm not sure where the occasional positive reviews come from because anyone can log in and write a good review, like the people who work for the company, their friends, owners, etc.

I cancelled my move when Mike called two days prior with the price increase. I'm retired, no children to enter into school and I didn't close on my current house yet so I didn't have to move out. I feel so strongly to inform people because you will be caught up in this. They know the system and they have it down well. You will be so involved with unpacking, getting the kids adjusted, new job

adjustment, etc that you will not follow up. And if you do, you will have no recourse and will let it go. That's how these people are still in business. I am just a common person who was looking for a mover. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. My experience with this company is just like many reviews that you will read. I don't believe in the validity of any positive reviews

Sincerely, this meeting with Daniel and his amazing team seemed too good. They were in charge of everything, so I didn't have to stress out. They used color-coded boxes for my clothes, shoes, décor items and crockery. Wow, that's cool. Keep up the good work.

Totally recommended!

The personnel at One Source Van Lines LLC responded quickly to a last-minute request. They complied with my request to add a second pickup site, and the greatest thing was that the anticipated cost barely increased a little. The cherry on top was that the final bill was exactly the estimate before delivery! Totally recommended!

Broken antique furniture, lost boxes

I paid $18,000 dollars to move from Pennsylvania to Arizona. Not only was my furniture 4 days late, I received four pieces of broken antique furniture. I am also missing a box of antique china and several boxes of items that also cannot be replaced.

HORRIBLE

Not only was my sister not communicated with about her items arrival, she had to dispute final costs upon arrival, she had broken furniture and the workers were unprofessional, in which case one of the two men left to return their truck and left the other one stranded and asked her for a ride to their hotel after.

Poor estimate and poor communication

We were looking to move from Ohio to Florida. approximately 852 from one address to the new one. also our home being packed was 970 sq ft and this is where the show began. 1st we were quoted 6,100 for about 75 items which is nuts then somehow they messed up our inventory and then ol called us 2 days before the movers were scheduled to show up saying that 44 items were missed somehow and it would be an additional 4200 dollars. so to recap for a 970 sq ft 2 bedroom home with a basement, they wanted a total of almost 11,000 bucks for 120 items/boxes. then they told us there was nothing they could do knowing we couldn't cancel because they only called us 2 days prior to our 8am call for the movers. no email or notifications were sent other than the original estimate which in my opinion was way to high until we received that phone call. don't use this company please you will over pay and all they are doing for you is hiring a local company and renting a truck. They call it white glove service but it's not they will hire any company in your area mainly the cheapest one and they show up with a truck that has other people's crap in it and tell you that if you want more space its thousands more. this is wrong they are thieves and very very shady about how this all works. and if you back out the day of your not only on the hook for the entire initial deposit but the money due on the day of the move if handed over is gone to. be careful. best option rent the truck yourself hire the movers yourself in your area, drive the truck or hire a driver then pay movers in your new location to unload your truck i priced this out at 3500 for the biggest truck they sell and movers in both my locations all i was responsible for was fuel and driving the truck had i not been screwed by this company i would have done that. don't listen to their white glove service crap or them saying this is a premium service, no its not, its a moving truck and some manual labor. the only premium is them setting it all up and apparently that's worth thousand of dollars in commission money.

Terrible Service

I have not received any word on the location or status of my belongings. They were picked up six days ago (after costs increased by 50% on the day of the move), and may still be sitting in a warehouse. No one at this awful company will return my call. Avoid them if you have other options.

Fabulous Move
