One Source Van Lines LLC

Our experience with One Source Van Lines could not have been worse. At first we had high hopes thank to an excellent sales experience and a strong partner in our rep Antony. But when changes happened to our situation and we had to cancel our move, the finance department at One Source kept our deposit and completely refused to work with us even though our cancellation was 100% within their guidelines, in the first 72 hours of our reservation. We lost $1000 because they claimed we didn't notify them correctly, despite having called often and clearly explained that we could not move forward with the reservation. It was an absolute travesty and a sham. I simply cannot urge you enough to look elsewhere. Please take care of your belongings, take care of yourself and your hard earned dollars, and look for a different moving service. If I could give 0 Stars I Would. This company took advantage of me and I should have trusted my gut opinion when I initially cancelled my move with them since I had concerns with their service as previous co-workers had horrible experiences with them/other moving companies.

I sent pictures of all of my inventory items and explained to Daisha that my main concern was spending more money than I was quoted for, for my move. She responded by saying if I sent pictures and I had nothing more than what was pictured then there should be no concerns about a difference in price from the carrier. Well she was wrong, I had to pay $1,000 more to Prince Moving due to them saying I had an excess of 1,000 cubic feet than what I was quoted for. How, when I sent pictures of all of my belongings and was sent an updated quote after submission of pictures? A $1,000 that I didn't have. They begged me for my service and I trusted them! The movers showed up and charged me an additional $75 dollars because there was an excess of a flight of steps which in their contract "Princz Moving" stated a flight = 7 steps. My contract with ONE SOURCE VAN LINES stated that a flight of steps = 10 steps. I called Jim from One Source Van Lines while the movers was at my pick-up location and told him Princz Moving was trying to charge me for a flight of steps that I shouldnt have been charged because my contract stated a flight was 10 steps not 7 steps. He told me to pay Princz moving the additional fee so they could do the job since they were on site and One Source Van Lines would reimburse me for the charges because I signed a contract with One Source Van Lines not Princz Moving Company. I've been waiting on my updated paperwork only to be told that I'm not going to be reimbursed because that is not the responsibility of One Source Van Lines, its the responsibility of the carrier Princz Moving. However, Jim from One Source Van Lines is the one who told me that since their were discrepancies with the contract, that One Source would submit paperwork for review for me to get reimbursed.

I got my furniture from Princz Moving at the dropoff location, while they were "nice dudes" they did not assembly any of my furniture at dropoff. They also lost a box of my belongings, and the headboard to my bed. I was originally quoted $2,900 for the move. After sending pictures that quote went up to around $3,100 dollars. I paid $4,000, $900 dollars more than my updated quote and now they want to penny pinch $75 that is owed to me and act like I'm fussing over something small. It's the principle that I followed the instructions of your worker JIM, and he ensured that I was binded to a contract agreement with one source van lines and that I would receive some reimbursement, Now, Jim is allegedly on vacation for a week and they want me to show my hand while they sit back and don't acknowledge how they took advantage of a hard working man who is trying to provide for his family.

Update: Jim’s phone is now disconnected and no longer in service .

I just finished the resolution form and would like to happily leave a stellar review for everyone that was so helpful and understanding with trying to coordinate my move but my best review will be for your exceptional customer service representative Deja Flood.Beginning with the very-very first difficult call that she took from myself to her numerous follow up calls, to our final communication that truly made my whole day, week, month and year and I'll repeat every word I just wrote to everyone I speak to. She is a very kind, generous, professional, caring and special person.This is in one of the most difficult jobs in the company and also one of the most important !! Too often these employees don’t get enough recognition for the situations that they handle on a daily basis.

She is doing a more than fantastic job !! And deserves a big fat raise !!!!!

Also, I would like to like to give a huge shout out to Jim C. and Lisa my Customer Service Representatives, when the move was still being scheduled and to Sean my fantastic Sales Representative and everyone else I may have missed on the team.

I definitely will recommend One Source to anyone I speak with in the future that is going to be moving near or far.

Sean who did the initial quote was great and helpful and friendly. Nicholas who did the final estimate also sounded very competent. The movers who picked up the stuff were knowledgeable and worked hard. But beyond that, the experience with One Source Van Lines has been frustrating. I never received the call that was promised (at least 2 days beforehand) telling us the pick up date. When I finally got through to off hours customer service, they had no idea or information for me. Someone finally called me back to let me know the day before pick up. When I called this morning to find out when my mother’s shipment would be delivered(after multiple attempts to get information over the weekend), I was told her belongings had been put into a warehouse and that I would be notified once the shipment was in progress and that it could take between 6-21 days(canned answer). A few hours later, I got a call from the driver stating that he would be arriving tomorrow. It seems like customer service does not have access to any specific information. The calls that were promised have not happened. I have had to follow up on every inquiry. The process does not follow the expectations set during the initial order was placed. The Customer service number has been essentially useless.

My experience started out ok with Joann helping me with my quote. She was nice, funny, and listened. However, when I asked for a day to consider their price she became pushy and told me I needed to decide then and there. They were considerably cheaper than other options (red flag) but I had never done a long distance move before and I decided to go with them. They’re a broker not a moving company which proved difficult. I had no say in who they picked to move my items. I got my final inventory call a couple of days before my move but they didn’t update my actual list because they said they cubic feet didn’t change much and his whole job was to make sure the company didn’t need a bigger truck. However, many times in the contract it says the inventory list must be 100% accurate. I was also told the moving company name then so I could get a cashier’s check for them. When I got the name of the moving company I looked up their reviews and they were all 1 star. I called One Source because I was hesitant about a company with all 1 star reviews moving my stuff. The customer support agent I got ahold of was condescending. He ended up telling me that the moving process was like “playing the lottery” and sometimes you have good outcomes and sometimes bad. When I’m paying $3,000+ I don’t think I should be gambling that your company finds me a quality mover. I realized there was nothing I could do and simply waited and packed my items extra carefully with my name, city I was moving to, and phone # on every side of my items in bright yellow tape. The day before I got a call from One Source and the actual moving company telling me my delivery window was between 3 and 6 pm the following day. On the actual day I got a phone call from the driver at around noon who said he “had not heard of this move” and it would be closer to 6:30 or 7 pm. Around 7:30 still nobody had showed up so I tried to call the phone number and it went straight to voicemail. I also tried calling One Source after hours customer service. It rang and rang and finally told me to leave a voicemail. I called 2 more times and never got anyone and nobody ever called me back. So I was sitting there with all my stuff ready to go and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. Finally at 8:30 pm the movers called me and said his phone died (2 other guys in the truck with phones) and said they were 5 minutes away. These guys were quality. They did charge me for a long-carry fee which I tried to argue since they tried charging me more than my contract rate. He did lower it some but stood firm that it was long carry. They also said I used 500 sq ft instead of my contracted 460 sq ft but it was such a small amount I didn’t mind paying as I did add some items since my original list was made (why I wanted it updated). The day before delivery I got a text that just said “I am a truck driver, I work for a moving company” and “Please, I want the rest of the money, cash money”. After getting him to send me pictures of the paperwork I finally figured out he was legit and he told me he was coming the next day. Again, I was told the driver would be there at 9 am the next day and he didn’t show up until 10:30 am. He had contracted out a second local man to help him move and he quoted him 9:30 so he had been waiting in my parking lot for an hour. The man who delivered my items from the moving company was TERRIBLE. He came late then said he was late to do a move in MA and needed to hurry. He drug my mattresses through the parking lot, tried to drag my couch through the parking lot, put heavy items in front of other apt’s trapping people inside, refused to let others use the elevator, yelled at my family, other residents, and the other worker. He also asked me to help move my stuff because there wasn’t enough movers so I ended up having to move 10 or so boxes and some more furniture pieces myself. I paid $3,000+ to move my own stuff? Ridiculous. He also scratched/dented at least 3 of my walls, broke my bed, and lost one of my dining table benches. I called One Source and got the same “lottery” guy and he still was condescending and tried to insinuate that I, a 24 year old tech savvy guy, didn’t know how to use a phone properly and that’s why I couldn’t get ahold of after hours CS. He tried saying I was “wishy-washy” with my answer on how I got ahold of them. There’s literally no way to mess it up you call the normal CS number and there’s only option to select there’s no way to mess it up. He offered no help and said he would “alert management” but only concerned about after hours customer service which at this point was the least of my issues. Overall I’ve still not heard back from One Source and it’s been about 2 weeks. I would NEVER use this company, One Source Van Lines, again. I’ve seen some of these reviews on here and this company comes back with responses trying to discredit the review. I’d challenge you to do that here. Overall, I caution anyone to NOT use this company for your move.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3637

I’m not sure if they are MAP Moving and Storage operating under numerous LLC’s or if they sold our contract to another company, but after being quoted a fair price for packing and moving from FL to GA, our experience was downhill to the gates of Hades. We were asked for a 3-day window for the movers to arrive. They came at 7 PM! on the 3rd day. Thank God my anxiety had me begin packing days before as I had about 70% done before their arrival. It still took until almost 10pm for them to finish loading (and we have a 5 year old who obviously had to be up this entire experience). They then insisted we could only pay cash after being told on the phone we could pay in card. Thankfully we had some cash on us due to a yard sale & then had to download Zelle to pay the remainder. I mean, it was 10pm, where did they expect us to get $3,000 in cash!?

After being told via email that our drop off 3 day window would be a Wednesday-Friday, they still did not show up to drop off until the following Thursday! They managed to break:

King sized bed frame

2 bookshelves

2 nightstands

Our child’s wooden table

TV stand

Numerous glasses

After 2 phone calls and 3 emails about compensation for our damaged items (complete with written confirmation from our delivery driver) we were pushed off to another “claims” company that reiterated several times they were not insurance or lawyers - they’re just essentially a 3rd party that will assess our claim and suggest how much the moving company should compensate us. This entire ”relationship” began end of May and I’m still pulling my hair out trying to receive compensation. I regrettably paid this company almost $7,000 and have had to spend almost $2,500 now replacing all of the damages, not to mention time and stress.

It’s impossible to leave this company or MAP Moving and Storage a review on Google. Please, please, please - learn from my experience and DO NOT TRUST this company with your hard earned possessions!!!! My child’s table was a gift from Santa and he is heartbroken. Please find a reputable company if moving, even if just going down the street!!

I think most of the people I interacted with did their best but the whole system is flawed. Poor communication, every time you speak with a new person and every time you have to explain your situation. Also, really poor packing, they do not deliver in the manner promised … even suggested they be met in a Walmart parking lot to load stuff into the recipients vehicle … that would be considered delivered, then it would be up to a single 20 something female in a new town to get it into her apartment

The professional site, nice and clean got me. BUT THEY CONTRACT OUT SO ITS BAIT AND SWITCH JOann "working" with me I thought I was in great hands BULL!!!! When my things were lost JOANN didn't answer my emails but had some guy call to give me THE REAL MOVERS info some place call MAP MOVERS so look them up not ONE SOURCE

MY items were touched by several people put in a fricking warehouse where they were lost or stolen! They arrived almost three weeks later from Massachusetts in a beat up old big Box truck! The driver hired a random guy from craigslist that just showed up at my house....really????? oMG nothing professional about this AT all JOann really laid it on thick!!!!! She fed me a lot crap but when that check was cashed I WAS ALL ALONE AND GHOSTED!!!! Some guy calls me after I email ed the formely helpful joann gives me the real companies info!! Wow didn't expect to have to do that! I thought onesource and their professional manifest! The company that moved me didn't even know what that was and said they never saw it!!!! wow My beautiful pottery barn furniture my teak patio chairs my son's guitars GONE!!!!!! I AM ANGRY RUN DONT WALK

Beware-this was a nightmare. The original quote was $5100. two days before it went up to $8100 and by the time they loaded the truck it was over $11600. No one would help or return a call. Furniture was damaged and the claim was a joke. They pay 60 cents per pound, Does not mater the cost of the damage. When I asked the claim company representative if she would use them to move her she said no. The company they sub us out to has no internet presence and no way to track them down. I would have been better off just buying new stuff.

After another moving company failed to show up to move my furniture on the last promised move date, I contacted One Source on a Saturday, seeking a company to move my belongings no later than two days later (Monday) so that I could settle on time. One Source came to my rescue and located a mover that was able to do the job. The company was incredibly helpful in making this emergency request happen. And unlike that other company, they kept me up-to-date and were always there to answer the phone. I would highly recommend One Source

My experience started out good,Adriana scheduled my move from pnw to Florida almost 3000 miles. A big move the quote was high but it is what it is!. Anyway as it was getting very close to me delivery day, no surprise they changed the day, the day of delivery they,the manager Hope calls me and tellsme that they have to push my delivery back, because they had a 3000 cubic feet move and mine was under 300 cubic so they pretty much pushed me to the curb . They were late 3days. The movers get ok . But what made me very angry and upset with them was because my load was not big so they just delayed and pushed me aside. I was told by Hope that she would guarantee my load would be picked up the Saturday and that was a lie, they just kept lying and putting me under a lot of emotional stress. Very unhappy with this company even though they gave a pitiful discount which doesn't put a dent in my wallet. I will never recommend or ever use. They are in for the big buck.

This place is super polite, almost too polite up until the day they send someone to pick up your stuff. This is just a broker so they will be sending another company to actually move you. This is important to know because if they over charge (which they will! Expect to pay double your quote) they will say their hands are tied since you paid it and they are not the actual movers. This means the movers can say anything they want and do anything they want at this point while you are standing there with all your stuff boxed and a move out date and you have no choice.

After you pay double know that they will say the first staircase is free but this only applies to the first 8 steps I believe (staircases are 12-13 steps). My original quote (which included a couch and 3 other pieces of furniture that I never ended up taking) was around $2100, then after I was packed my quote jumped to $2900 which was upsetting after many reassurances I had enough space. Then when the moving company comes they tell you it will cost way more. I paid $3700 plus stairs etc. Oh and then you have to tip 3 guys instead of 2 which I was not prepared for since I was told 2 movers.

A ton of my stuff was broken and scraped up. This is mainly because after they load your stuff on a truck they are going to unload it later while you are not there and load it on a different truck. Believe me when I say it is not handled with care. every box I packed showed signs of damage.

This company takes zero responsibility because they already got your money and you paid it to a different company anyway. USE ANYONE ELSE! I had 3 friends who had houses much larger ( I had a 1 bedroom) pay less than I did to move the same distance. 2 from Ft. Lauderdale to Asheville and 1 from Ft. Lauderdale to Charlotte. Now I have to submit a sheet for broken items and recoup whatever I can from the damage. They broke 2 chairs, several pieces of my dish set. scraped the sides up on my antique table, and dented up a wood end table. All the plastic bins I used were smashed in. shards of plastic everywhere. The amount of bubble wrap and additional boxing should have been more than sufficient but yet it couldn't survive the smashed in boxes.

If you don't want to take my word for it, why does this company not have a google business? Or social media? They don't want this type of response aired in public. I mean no google reviews?? Interesting. I wish I had known what I do now.

Under Fla. Stat. 934.03, secretly audio recording another individual is a 3rd Degree Felony offense, punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. for each phone call or recording.

Prices change and the service person on the phone requires you to e sign while you are on the phone and will take money from your account immediately!

I have a small 2 bedroom apt. total miles for my move was 1800.

The price has gone up 3 times and is now pushing $8,000 w/d, 11 pieces of furniture and 35 mixed size boxes.

They do not take debit or credit cards. They want your bank account and routing number. (RED FLAG) you can't dispute a charge on a direct withdraw like you can on a CC.

STAY FAR AWAY. do a thorough research.

Rude, unhelpful, overpriced. They outsource and dispatch your move to complete strangers who are rude, barely speak english and literally hold your stuff hostage. I highly encourage you to never use this company. They claim to offer an assessment evaluation so your discounted on your estimate if you do not use cubic meters estimated its a complete lie I have to call daily to try and get my estimate adjusted and they never do it so I'm out of pocket when I moved way less than my estimate. They are really good at taking all your money and providing the shitest service ever.

I did not enjoy my moving experience with this company. I was told that the owners were retired veterans (which is a disgrace if they are because the integrity is not there! )I was told that because others had canceled for the day I selected, that I would receive discounted services, I did not. I was promised guaranteed set price and informed that my value would only go down, if anything. After the initial call and 2 deposits (approximately 4,000$) and a supposedly set rate of 7,000$, I found out that they ARE NOT A MOVING COMPANY AND ONLY A 3RD PARTY COMPLANY who calls and coordinate moving (which I could have done myself and been told upfront that this was all they did). Later than week, I received a call from the actual moving company requesting a deposit, leaving me confused because I had already provided 2 deposits to One Source. by this time I was at 6,500$ spent in a week and informed that I will have to pay the remaining balance at pick up and drop off. With the expectation of only have 500$ remaining I agreed. I found out on the day of pick up that I would accumulate almost another 3,000$ to pay, to include a 300$ distance fee from the truck to my storage and from the truck to the door of my new resident. After being charged 10,000$ for a move from Virginia to NC I am blazing. About a week after my HHG were delivered, I received a call from One Source and express my concerns and requested a refund of the extra charges (the difference between what was guaranteed and what I actually paid). The representative stated that he would get with the owner and try to mitigate this concern and call me back! I never received a call back, and hadn't seen my funds since. Being a 28 y.o. Veteran, this is heart breaking and disappointing that this company would manipulate their costumers to believing that they are an actual moving company, lies about pricing, veterans status, and zero consideration of their clients needs. I'm 100% sure none of these employees are sitting on 10,000-15000 to pay for a single move, in a week time span, and neither was I! I would recommend getting a lawyer before working with them! If I could give a 0 star rating I would because this is inhumane and taking complete control of the stress and vulnerability during a large house move. Id never recommend this company to a friend or family member.
