I contacted City Moving Group to schedule a pick and delivery since I am relocating from MD to Ma. City Moving group charged me 1535$ and put me in touch with Om Van Lines. Since I didn’t have a Ma delivery address at the time of pick up on 7/21/2022 I requested the items be kept in storage. Once I obtained an address I requested the delivery date to be Thursday 7/27. The customer service lady called me this morning to confirm the delivery for 7/27 then called back saying it could be only 8/1. She was very rude on the phone sounded threatening. Very sad and disappointed! No one should have to go through this. Very very disheartening. I don’t even know if the items will be delivered on 8/1! This company definitely needs to improvise on customer service. Please give jobs to people who need them and please provide adequate training.

Beware of this company. 100% The worst customer experience of my life!!!!!!! They canceled on me 3 days before the scheduled move date and left me without movers when I need to clear the apartment and had a flight the day after the move! All during peak moving season at the end of August.

The representative that called me for this cancellation was rude and unilaterally canceled on me without giving me the time to consider the options she gave me. Just a terrible experience.

I booked with OM Van-Lines a move from MA to CA four months before the moving date. They had the lowest price among all movers and committed to my desired date. A few weeks prior to the move I asked to verify that we are all set for it and got a confirmation over e-mail that everything is as planned. The same happened a week prior to the scheduled date, this time over the phone. Three days before the move I get a call from OM requesting to change the date because they don't have a truck available. I told them I have to clear my apartment so it's not possible. The lady on the phone, Samantha, said they will not be able to do the move on the agreed date so my options are a day later or cancellation and getting my deposit back. I told her I will check with my landlord and all of a sudden while doing it, I got an e-mail that the move had been canceled and a refund was issued. I had to book with another company, 3 days ahead of the move. I was lucky to find anything. Of course, I had to pay a premium for this last-minute booking.

So be aware. They will book your move for a low price and if they have an opportunity they will cancel on you to get someone who might pay more, and they leave you hanging, no strings attached. With all the stress around moving, especially cross-country, this is the last thing you need.

DO NOT BOOK FOR MOVING SERVICES

I booked this company for a moving job 1.5 months in advance and paid the deposit they required immediately. I requested an early morning slot due to other time constraints at the new place. The week of the move I change my inventory by adding 10 boxes. I was told I still had enough space and there will be no additional charge. Two days before the move I am informed several times, due to them not making any money off of the quote I was provided ($1400), I was bumped to the 2-5pm slot and the 10 extra boxes will now cost an additional $100. I was promised the movers will arrive closer to 2pm. At this point I had no choice but to say ok. The day of the move, I called at 5:30 and was informed the movers were an hour away. Upon arrival and reviewing my things I was then informed the charge is based on cubic feet which will therefore increase the price $1000. Now I am at $2500. I still say ok. The mover goes to his truck and returns saying that after further thought, Ty he cost will increase an additional $1000 due to the size of my furniture. I threw them out and was left with no movers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING WITH THESE PEOPLE. Unreliable and crooks!

I had a wonderful time with Company! They were pleasant, quick, fast, and took great care when collecting and dropping off my belongings. I was moving across the country, and they barely scratched any item. I have huge kinds of stuff like 75-inch TVs and King Sized beds but they relocated them carefully. I hope you'll read this review as you'll be saving much more money with the kind of safety that they offer. Trust me (I had a bad experience with other moving companies).

I used OM for a long distance move.I gave Alex my itemized list.Unless I wanted to pay 2x the estimate at pickup, I Left 2 dining tables, dressers, egg grill, picnic table, oak desk, daybed, marble top table, hutch, coffee table, and large antique mirror behind. Thanks for nothing and breaking my heart. Many things of my deceased mother’s and grandmother’s were left behind. Brought my Aunt with Alzheimer’s along and had to leave numerous personal items and furniture of hers. Now she just keeps looking for it!!! I’m angry and disgusted with this company! Don not use!

I am very impressed and satisfied with the job movers did for me. It was a complicated move, but they kept control on everything and shifted belongings between two different homes and an office. All our belongings ended up in the right location and nothing got damaged. Very pleasant people to work with and they were very fast. How on earth they managed to carry my very heavy furniture up to the 3rd floor of a building with a smile on their face, was very impressive. I would highly recommend them for any job.

I recently had the pleasure of using a moving company to help me with my move from New York to North Carolina. I must say, my experience with Santos, the team leader, and the company as a whole was absolutely outstanding! I cannot recommend them enough and would gladly give them a 5-star review.

On the day of the move, Santos and his team arrived promptly at the scheduled time. They were professional, efficient, and treated my belongings with the utmost care. They were well-prepared with all the necessary equipment and materials to ensure a smooth and secure move. Santos demonstrated excellent leadership skills, coordinating the team effortlessly and making sure everything was handled with precision.

What stood out the most was the attention to detail and the dedication of Santos and his team. They carefully wrapped and protected all my furniture and fragile items, ensuring that nothing would be damaged during transit. Their expertise and experience were clearly evident as they maneuvered heavy and bulky items through narrow doorways and stairs, without a scratch!

The entire process was stress-free and seamless, thanks to Santos and his team. They efficiently loaded the truck and transported my belongings to my new home in North Carolina. Upon arrival, they unloaded everything quickly and placed the boxes and furniture exactly where I wanted them, without any issues.

Not only was the actual move itself fantastic, but the customer service was exceptional as well. Santos and his team were friendly, professional, and displayed a strong work ethic throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction, and I couldn't be happier with the level of service I received.

Overall, my move from New York to North Carolina with Santos and his team was nothing short of exceptional. I am grateful for their hard work, reliability, and dedication to making my move a positive and stress-free experience. Moving is stressful enough, but this "company" takes it to the next level. Doubling the initial cost, lying about delivery dates, rude customer service, only accepting cash or postal money orders when furniture finally arrives. They actually gave us the wrong amount due on delivery so the movers stopped taking our belongings off of the truck. We had to go running around on Veteran's Day when post offices and banks were closed, while the movers sat in the truck. They refused to use the credit card that we used when they initially picked up our furniture. They even quoted us as having to pay them an extra $650 a day if we did not come up with the cash on Veterans Day. They have no concern for their customers, only for the mighty dollar. Stay away at all cost. By the way, they market themselves as OM Van Lines until your belongings are on the truck and then they give you the contract with OM Logistics and Trucking LLC on the top (has a D- Better Business Bureau rating). Very shady.

A huge shout out to OM Van Lines! They made a monumental project seem painless. Our movers were pleasant, helpful, and worked in a timely fashion. From start to finish it was a pleasure. Alex was also a pleasure and easy to work with when he came out to do the estimate and Grant followed through to make sure I was happy with the job. I couldn’t have asked for more. Relocating after almost 20 years seemed daunting, but OM Van Lines' effort and efficiency was top notch!
