Amazing pickup from OM Van Lines.

Amazing pickup from OM Van Lines, this was so efficient. They did a full packing and moving service in less than 4 hours for a 1 bed apartment. Wrapped all furniture in blankets and tape. Took extra care with crockery by individually wrapping them.

They were professional.

I moved yesterday with OM Van Lines, and it was by far the best moving experience I've ever had. They moved me from my old apartment to a fifth floor walk up in less than four hours. OM Van Lines is fantastic. It is truly amazing how well of a job they did. I had gotten a truck and just needed help with a couple of heavy pieces. Poor Customer Service and Someone Else's Stuff Delivered With Mine

I don't recommend this company at all. The sales rep was friendly and responsive, but after I signed the contract all good service ended. They left two items at my old address. When I called right after the men left, they said they would not come back. The manager yelled and did not listen to compliant. I was in tears as I was moving out of state the next day. Driver was rude. He came an hour before the time he said so people were still sleep and not ready to recieve. He demanded payment and called the manager who told me a have a really small load and to check outside in the cold to verify all my stuff was there and undamaged. The manager talked over me again this time too and stated he would take me stuff and put it back in storage. Real good customer service to have a woman out in the cold sorting through boxes.

So, I paid them in cash the amount I owed so I could get my items but held on signing the paperwork until I verified inside my place I had everything. I did plus 3 extra large boxes that belong to some other poor customer. I am glad I checked because they were ready to race away and if my experience with the items they left when they picked up my items, it would have be on me to dispose of some poor soul's stuff. Citing I should have done a final walk through prior to signing the paperwork and the movers leaving.

Furthermore, my mattress was suppose to get a complimentary cover that was clearly written in the agreement. Upon arrival I was told I had to have a cover. I showed them where they were to have one. So they plastic wrapped my mattress upon arrival, the wrap was ripped on several placed. They were to assemble my bed they brought. When the men arrived, he said they don't assemble new bed, but he brought the frame with him on the truck and of course it was packed. This was crazy for 8:30 am on a Sunday.

To top it off some of the containers and boxes were damaged and dented like my stuff have been thrown around.

I will not recommend this company because they treat customers like trash. I hope the person gets there stuff. They get 2 stars only because the sales girl was nice and thorough.

Horrible customer service

I contacted City Moving Group to schedule a pick and delivery since I am relocating from MD to Ma. City Moving group charged me 1535$ and put me in touch with Om Van Lines. Since I didn’t have a Ma delivery address at the time of pick up on 7/21/2022 I requested the items be kept in storage. Once I obtained an address I requested the delivery date to be Thursday 7/27. The customer service lady called me this morning to confirm the delivery for 7/27 then called back saying it could be only 8/1. She was very rude on the phone sounded threatening. Very sad and disappointed! No one should have to go through this. Very very disheartening. I don’t even know if the items will be delivered on 8/1! This company definitely needs to improvise on customer service. Please give jobs to people who need them and please provide adequate training.

Warning: they will cancel on you and leave you hanging without a move

Beware of this company. 100% The worst customer experience of my life!!!!!!! They canceled on me 3 days before the scheduled move date and left me without movers when I need to clear the apartment and had a flight the day after the move! All during peak moving season at the end of August.

The representative that called me for this cancellation was rude and unilaterally canceled on me without giving me the time to consider the options she gave me. Just a terrible experience.

I booked with OM Van-Lines a move from MA to CA four months before the moving date. They had the lowest price among all movers and committed to my desired date. A few weeks prior to the move I asked to verify that we are all set for it and got a confirmation over e-mail that everything is as planned. The same happened a week prior to the scheduled date, this time over the phone. Three days before the move I get a call from OM requesting to change the date because they don't have a truck available. I told them I have to clear my apartment so it's not possible. The lady on the phone, Samantha, said they will not be able to do the move on the agreed date so my options are a day later or cancellation and getting my deposit back. I told her I will check with my landlord and all of a sudden while doing it, I got an e-mail that the move had been canceled and a refund was issued. I had to book with another company, 3 days ahead of the move. I was lucky to find anything. Of course, I had to pay a premium for this last-minute booking.

So be aware. They will book your move for a low price and if they have an opportunity they will cancel on you to get someone who might pay more, and they leave you hanging, no strings attached. With all the stress around moving, especially cross-country, this is the last thing you need.

Overall wonderful experience

Fantastic firm. They were prompt upon arrival, provided an accurate quote over the phone, and issued a reminder text message. When moving my belongings, the team was extremely professional and careful. They were patient with me when I questioned their strategy. In my experience, they were both fast and proficient. We confidently endorse it. In terms of payment, there were no surprises. They even assisted me in reassembling the bed. I appreciate it.

HORRIBLE DO NOT USE

DO NOT BOOK FOR MOVING SERVICES

I booked this company for a moving job 1.5 months in advance and paid the deposit they required immediately. I requested an early morning slot due to other time constraints at the new place. The week of the move I change my inventory by adding 10 boxes. I was told I still had enough space and there will be no additional charge. Two days before the move I am informed several times, due to them not making any money off of the quote I was provided ($1400), I was bumped to the 2-5pm slot and the 10 extra boxes will now cost an additional $100. I was promised the movers will arrive closer to 2pm. At this point I had no choice but to say ok. The day of the move, I called at 5:30 and was informed the movers were an hour away. Upon arrival and reviewing my things I was then informed the charge is based on cubic feet which will therefore increase the price $1000. Now I am at $2500. I still say ok. The mover goes to his truck and returns saying that after further thought, Ty he cost will increase an additional $1000 due to the size of my furniture. I threw them out and was left with no movers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING WITH THESE PEOPLE. Unreliable and crooks!

Moved April 13. They were 2-hours late. My binding agreement was $5,300. When they got there they wanted $8,300, ended paying $6,500. One piece was lost, no explanation. Several items broken. SCRATCHES!

They were honest!

The convenience of letting them do all the hard work is worth it. Overall, I would recommend this Company to friends and family. They were easy to work with. Very polite and patient!

I can say that I had a good experience with them. When I first moved in, the person I asked for was very polite and patient with all my questions. The driver who transported my items was very professional and generous. After arriving at the destination, he waited another 30 minutes because the owner was not at home and I did not have the key. It was such a sweet gesture. I don't know the name, but thank you very much!

They were pleasant!

I had a wonderful time with Company! They were pleasant, quick, fast, and took great care when collecting and dropping off my belongings. I was moving across the country, and they barely scratched any item. I have huge kinds of stuff like 75-inch TVs and King Sized beds but they relocated them carefully. I hope you'll read this review as you'll be saving much more money with the kind of safety that they offer. Trust me (I had a bad experience with other moving companies).

Bait and switch BEWARE!

I used OM for a long distance move.I gave Alex my itemized list.Unless I wanted to pay 2x the estimate at pickup, I Left 2 dining tables, dressers, egg grill, picnic table, oak desk, daybed, marble top table, hutch, coffee table, and large antique mirror behind. Thanks for nothing and breaking my heart. Many things of my deceased mother’s and grandmother’s were left behind. Brought my Aunt with Alzheimer’s along and had to leave numerous personal items and furniture of hers. Now she just keeps looking for it!!! I’m angry and disgusted with this company! Don not use!

Very pleasant people!

I am very impressed and satisfied with the job movers did for me. It was a complicated move, but they kept control on everything and shifted belongings between two different homes and an office. All our belongings ended up in the right location and nothing got damaged. Very pleasant people to work with and they were very fast. How on earth they managed to carry my very heavy furniture up to the 3rd floor of a building with a smile on their face, was very impressive. I would highly recommend them for any job.

Very pleasant service!

They furnished excellent carriers. The supervisor could be very well mannered and so is the doorman. They additionally arrived on time. They have been fantastic. The supervisor and his crew went up and down the steps even in the snow. I cannot say too much. Arrived on time and good in transit. Very pleasant and took care of our matters. It made the whole lot a lot much less annoying.

Best decision I could’ve made

From the first telephone call until the crew left, they did not disappoint! They demonstrated their caring for the customer all throughout the move process.
